Currently it isnt being translated as i heard. I hope it starts publishing in English soon cause i badly wanna know what happens.
The plot is unique. I normally avoid reincarnation books, however in this case it was more kike getting another chance in life not reincarnation. For the first half i kinda disliked Igor but then when we get his point of view the whole plot seemed change.
I have a feeling the queen mother is a side villain that Rhiannan is unaware of. Igor knows the truth about his mother but Rhiannan never knew. If only they talked, but igor was filled with hatred and Rhiannan was weak. The thing is that i cant blame either of them. Its written beautifully. Igor knew his mothers plan, despite being in love with Rhiannan he misunderstood her and also concealed his true feelings for her because he thought he was a pawn on his mother game of power.
Rhiannan lost her mother, never received any love from her father, had no one to actually guide her. She thought the Queen mother genuinely loved her but she also didnt know how power hungry that woman was.
The movel stopped translating just when her step sister Latsia appeared. To me, she is the main villain. From Igors point of view we know he only love Rhiannan but i wonder why did he cheated on her with Latsia. I badly want to know what actually happened.
Also i loved how Igor now treats Rhiannan. The angst, grovel is just amazingly done.
Rihannan or Rhia was given a second chance to reincarnate in her past self and hopefully change the outcome of her life story. In her first life, she married the Crown Prince who cheated on her with her half-sister. Readers got to see her past life from her point of view and some may developed hatred towards the male lead. The moment she woke up in her second life, she decided to disown both her father and half-sister, taking back her mother's wealth. It turn out her father was a nobody who already had a lover when he was 'forced' to marry Rhia's mother. She moved to her mother's maiden country and live there with her uncle and cousin.
Igor, unexpectedly, was also reincarnate. But, he was too late in stopping Rhia from moving away. In his point of view we got to see the other side of the story. Igor was controlled by his mother who decided on her own that she was the only one that could rule the country while others, even her son Igor, could not compare with her. So, when Rhia chose to side with his mother, he decided then and there that she was not worth his time even though she was his first and only love. So, when he was given the second chance, he wanted to make up his wrongdoing to Rhia.
As planned by fate or in this case the author, both Rhia and Igor entered a contract marriage. Rhia was on guard with Igor while Igor was protective of Rhia. Just like in their previous life, they tend to bottle-up their feeling or problems which of course cause misunderstanding.
The story stop it's translation at the time Rhia's half-sister made her debut. I was looking forward to it because in my opinion, she was a legit villain. She was willing to do anything to get what she wanted and I mean anything. She was not some villain who hide behind the scene and paid someone else to do the deed. She was the kind of villain who will push you in the lake herself. I managed to get by with all the spoilers the book get. So, I don't get it why most Korean author decided not to cooperate with the translation team when their paid readers were the one doing most of the spoiler.
This is the kind of story where the excellent got weighed down by the horrendous. To be fair, the good is VERY good, while the bad is more of personal distaste.
The story development is slow though. So if you aren't up for drawn out frustration, cause they are a VERY frustrating couple with many respective issues. Various issues that will trigger different readers. If you don't want to risk your time, read some precautionary spoilers or skip it.
It started out as a curiosity from the description of this web-novel. The summary goes something like this: "Rihannan Allesin, a queen, imprisoned by the King, dies by taking poison given by her own sister. However, instead of dying, she goes back in time to when she was 12 years old. Right after her mother died and her world came crashing down on her head. So, She decides to do one thing she knows might help.... RUN."
That's a lose summary based on the first few chapters. The novel was well written, gave all the ideas of what is what and who is who. The story could have been shorter though. It took me about 12 hours to finish it over two nights. The author keeps you engaged and wanting to know more. There's a lot of back and forth with the telling of the past lives of the main protagonists and their current lives. But the author managed to do it well, I mean, it won't bore you or confuse you.
There is however, sex without consent, rape, lot of psychological issues floating around. But the author deals with them well.
Overall, story: 8/10, Character development : 7/10.
Please don't drop it if you haven't read untill the end of the story because it is totally worth it guys!! I really like this story so much. Reading this may be painful and tragic but the ending is so good.
