Melissa Daniels has a problem in her pumpkin patch. She inherited it from her grandparents and is anxious to carry on their legacy, but for some reason, every single plant has died. Without any idea what to do, she asks around town for advice, and is told that she really should talk to Benjamin McClain.
Benjamin McClain, second son of the McClain family and known for his green thumb, is more than happy to help a neighbor in need, and even happier when she turns out to be a beautiful young lady. But when it turns out that he's actually responsible for her woes, things get a little sticky . . . and they get even stickier when he finds out this is the girl he's destined to marry.
Does destiny control everything we do, or do we still have choices regardless of our fate?
Amelia C. Adams is a wife, a mother, and a novelist. She spends her days dreaming up stories and her nights writing them down. Her biggest hero is her husband, and you might just see bits and pieces of him as you read her novels.
She loves all things historical and enjoys learning about days gone by, but she's glad she was born more recently (she won't say how recently or not recently) because the Internet is awesome, and she's glad she doesn't have to wash her clothes by hand in a galvanized tub. She has hit Amazon bestseller status twice, once for A Clean Slate and once for A Clear Hope.
. Benjamin McClain is the second son of a seventh son, who falls hard for Melissa Daniels, the next door neighbor to the boy's ranch. This short story depicts their whirlwind romance and her reactions to the family secrets and the mishap with her pumpkin patch. Benjamin has the gift to commune with the earth and encourages growth, which aids him in his position on the boys' ranch his family runs. The time frame for their romance is a bit unbelievable, but cute anyway.
We're just moving forward on this earth with what we've been given, doing our best every day, just like everyone else.
This series has a very intriguing storyline including magic gifts, gentleman cowboys, and destiny. This is in spite of the fact their mama named them alphabetically after the sons on a classical movie. Because of this, I was excited to crack open the pages. Enjoy the legends of the seventh sons of a seventh son, magical gifts, and enough love to raise thirty boys who needed all the attention, discipline, and leadership they can possibly muster.
The characters lacked a certain depth most good novels contain. However, it does contain lots of inspiration and leaves the reader with a warm and fuzzy feeling. I enjoy that most assuredly.
This is a clean and wholesome read (except for some kisses) that is able to stand on its own. I'm interested enough to continue on to learn more about this amazing family structure and the new personal relationships forming for each brother.
I accessed this series at no cost through the Kindle Unlimited Prime program.

I love the idea behind these books. I have seen the movie and it was ok. But I love this spin on it. In this book Melissa's since of humor had me laughing out loud and Benjamin was so sweet.
All of the McClain brothers have a natural born gift, one that isn’t really easily explained but very real nonetheless. Benjamin’s gift is an affinity with the land, he’s what you might call a plant whisperer. He has that special touch with any growing thing and usually it is a natural, easy almost unthinking thing that he does. Only this time he asked something of the land and it sort of backfired in an unexpected way. Things might not have gone as intended, but it certainly did get him an introduction to a lovely neighbor, Melissa.
Melissa is of an age that she no longer expects romance, she’s been hurt and she’s not traveling down that road again. When her neighbor offers help with her pumpkin harvest she’s attracted, sure… but this guy has some serious games being played on her and she’s not liking it one bit. But what if Benjamin is exactly what he says he is, and feels about her the way she’s beginning to feel about him?
Benjamin is a fun, sweet romance that I enjoyed. If Melissa got a bit out of orbit with her conspiracy theories well, I did my best to put myself in her shoes and wondered if I could believe Benjamin’s abilities myself. They make a sweet couple, and we get a bit more involved with the McClain family.
I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
A twist on Cinderella - prince charming saving her pumpkin patch to bring her to realize the belong together.
Benjamin has messed up really huge and trying to fix it has him tripping over himself. Then he blurts out all the secrets the family has held dear and it blows up. Humor and grit is what Melissa holds dear and helps her pull through the chaos. Sweet romance with some great insight to the special ranch the family has built. Violence 0, sex0 clean romance
Book two was as good as the first in this two author series.
Another wonderfully written story line surrounding this odd family as the locals call them. Wonderfully written characters who will try to resist each other especially the heroine as she is certain the hero and his family are crazy, but she finds them very loving and her hero very good looking as are the other side brothers and she calls for the entire family. A good clean and sometimes funny and serious at others but we'll rounded story. Well done.
#2 McClain son takes his turn to find what he is missing in life. Warmth and family encourage the move in the direction intended by fate and love conquers all doubt.
This is Benjamin's story. He is the second born son of seven brothers. He has a special talent to be able to communicate with plants and trees. His talent comes in really handy when his new neighbor's pumpkins are not doing too well! A great read as usual from Amelia Adams!
Well written, continuing the love stories of the Seven Sons. Looking forward to Amelia Adams 3rd book in the series. Love the characters and their special gifts.
Another sweet, quick read! I love the family and theme, destined love and helping troubled kids get back on track! The only thing I find a little unrealistic, is just how fast the couple meet, fall in love and become engaged, all within 10 days, all feels a little rushed! But still a nice read :)
You will fall in love with the McClain family. They are very unique but loveable. Each one with his own gifts, and oh so good looking, it is almost sinful. This is Benjamin's story and it is great. A quick read.
Excellently written with some very memorable characters. It's a story that is a quick read. It's nice and clean so all can enjoy. Benjamin has a fabulous way with plants and things that grow like pumpkins. I love this series!
Melissa inherited her grandparents pumpkin farm but her first season the pumpkins didn't grow right. She as advised to talk to Benjamin McClain to see if he could help. He's the family plant whisperer. Little did they both know they were destined.
Love this short story, very interesting and the author's imagination on this series is pretty cool. Hopefully Amelia you will consider a part 2. Thank you for a good read this mothers day.
I loved the ending….so romantic! It was absolutely perfect. I’m still, as Melissa said in the story, “a bit weirded out” about all this premonition and crazy gifts storyline, but I’m intrigued by these brothers, so I will continue on 😊
I like this series so far, but it seems rushed. The story is good and I would recommend it for a fast read, I just wish there was more character development.
Benjamin's gift is literally a green thumb. He can make anything grow. So why is Melissa, the girl next door, walking away after Peter says "she's the one"?
Normally avoid novels that refer to paranormal of any type. However, this novel addressed the issue in a western romance & it really worked. Enjoyed this book.
Second book in the Seven Sons series. Wonderful characters. Each brother has a gift and it's not always easy to explain. Benjamin can grow anything. He communicates with the earth. Melissa can't figure out what happened to her pumpkin patch.
