These books got worse and worse as they went one. Book one seemed to have potential, but it just got so mind numbing as the books progressed.
Super repetitive - how many times did we have to hear the story about Luke’s space dreams and why that was his dream. It didn’t need to be explained 100 times - and I’m sure he didn’t need to keep reiterating it to Alexa over and over again. So tedious.
Then literally every problem that popped up seemed to fizzle out without any real fight or closure. I know there’s another book coming - but why? It should have been fine to tie up at least some of those loose ends properly in this book. Maybe if we heard less about Luke’s space dreams, the author would have had space to address the actual problems occurring in the story better.
All up, it was hard to push through this book and I found myself literally skimming paragraphs rather than fully immersing myself in the story in places.
Don’t know if I’ll bother reading the last book - if I do, it’ll only be because I hate leaving series unfinished. But this was disappointing enough for me to really consider it.
Book 1 was poorly written, but ended sweetly enough that I decided to continue Luke and Alexa’s story. Big mistake (pun intended.). They just got worse instead of better. This latest installment was boring as hell. Ninety pages were dedicated to Alexa’s morning sickness. Im not sure how much space was dedicated to telling us she was nibbling crackers and drinking peppermint tea. Then, two chapters were dedicated to the vacation we already read about in the previous book’s epilogue. I barely got through this one, even though it is only about 165 pages long. The inconsistencies were ridiculous. I swear, when it is this bad I have to wonder if the author ever once read through the full story to see if it makes sense. I’m amazed this author is as popular as she is.
Having just binge read all 3 books in the series, I feel that had all the repetitiveness been removed, all 3 books could be condensed into one.
I liked the storyline but for the love of god, please find new editors and make them earn their money - any decent editor, even if doing it for free, would tell you that the readers do not want to know about Alexa's morning sickness 500+ times in the first half of the book, or how insanely rich Luke is, or how his parents died when he and Dana were young and were adopted, or his plans to go to Mars. You only need to tell the readers once, not over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.
Oh and by the way, when Eric forces Luke's limo off the road, at first Brian was driving the limo, then it was Michael - I had to go back to the beginning of the scene when Michael was mentioned, thinking who the heck is he. And yep, Brian was driving, then it got changed to Michael - again, any decent editor should have picked this up.
I love this series and this couple. I did not love all of this book, I felt there was too much repetitiveness about her sickness during her pregnancy. I did not like how certain storylines were wrapped up and I felt there could have been a more in depth look at Luke’s issues with certain companies and his father’s actions towards his wife and Luke’s mother. I enjoyed the time Luke and Alexa we’re together, their travel time, the preparations for the baby, her friendship with Candace and John’s relationship. I thought some of the action was good in this story and I am excited to learn more about Candace’s new boyfriend. I thought this was the end of the series but at the end of the book I read there is another book coming out this year, so excited to see how this wonderful little family is doing and see more of some of the other characters, plus finally tie up stuff involving Luke’s adoptive mother.
Good book but lacked information..... Things just summed up in a flash. No answers on the parental divorce, no info of how they found out a BUNCH of things. Plus stated book 4 to be released end of 2020 well its almost September 2021....disappointing
Not to mention to repetition on things that rally didn't matter. I was ill having to read over and over about her morning sickness

There was so much potential here for 5 Star read/s with this book/series. But there's just so much repetitive info/thoughts/dialogue/details that it frustrated me to death, instead of captivating me. I think if it was tweaked a little and all the repetitive stuff was dealt with/removed- then the story would be soooo much better- and more condensed.
This is a great ongoing story. I love the characters, the plot line and the way the author weaves everything together. Will definitely miss these characters when this is finished!
Since I am a fan of S. E. Lund (Susan) when I find another book she had written I am eager to read it or preorder it. Whether it be romance, erotica, mystery or a combination of them, with a lot of angst and drama. Let's talk about Mr. Big Daddy, but a little background first. Alexa and Luke met on a dare, he thought she was her brother in law's girlfriend but that was not good, because Eric was married to his twin sister Dana. Things happen and the eventual plot is they get together. They find out they are attracted to one another. He even has to protect her from her ex boyfriend who had abused her. Blaine her ex boyfriend tried to kill her best friend Candace trying to get to her. Luke and Alexa ended up sailing around the world in his catamaran with his best friend John and one of his other friends. They got engaged along the way and it brings us back to this book. They are married living in Westhampton and she's pregnant. His mother and Eric and Blaine are doing all they can to hurt them and make their lives miserable. This is definitely a Good Read and it is so entertaining. I would highly recommend it.
I enjoyed reading this book! I really can't wait to read the next book in this series! I still love the chemistry between Luke and Alexa! I know that EVERYONE who reads this book will enjoy it! I definitely plan on recommending this book to others!
SE Lund’s series, “ Mr. Big”, is an undeniable home run! The three books - with another coming sometime this year (2020) - tell a beautiful story of how an innocent mix-up led to Alexa and Luke meeting their soulmates. As with her previous series that I’ve read (Macintyre Series, Drake Series, Unrestrained Series, Bad Boys Series, and this current one) SE writes in an easy to read way. Her storylines are well thought out and easy to follow. I highly, HIGHLY recommend reading anything you can get your hands on from this exceptional author - not the least of which is the “Mr. Big” series. Yowza!!
