This was a great short story and I really enjoyed it. It was straight to the point and had a plot twist I would have never guessed. It flowed well and did not leave me with questions. I look forward to reading more by this author.
I could only imagine being the only one able to save a parent's life. Angel has the dilemma where she is the only one that's a match for both her mother and father. That has to be a very difficult decision to make. Not only were all the characters and their emotions realistic, you could tell that the author did an extensive amount of research to make the whole story believable. There were also several shock factors and surprises throughout the story. A great emotional and well written read.
Great storyline and the awesome thing is the plot wasn’t predictable even until the last page. Yes I recommend this book to anyone who’s needing encouragement and renewed hope.
It his book was very good I never expected Brandy would be his sister I thought she was his daughter and that is all I am going to say. Read the book one of the best books I have read
Just finished Torn by L.A. Lewis, and wow what an emotional ride! 💔 The story is heartfelt, the characters are beautifully written, and every page pulled me in deeper. Very touching & an eye opener regarding the importance of our health . I’m still crying 🥲
What do you do when both of your parents whom you love and adore need a kidney? You’re the only match and can only help one of them. I know right, just thinking about it is unimaginable. What a heavy load to carry when the burden of both parents being diagnosed with an illness that can change their lives if a kidney transplant is not provided soon. This is the dilemma that Angel Taylor finds her self in, holding the key to being the saving grace but having to choose. What a choice. Her decision could mean life for one and death for the other. It does not help that she is the eldest and her siblings are looking to her for support and making the right decision.
A heartfelt emotional read, L A Lewis brings a story of faith, family, and hope that will keep you turning the pages until the very end. Torn is an amazing, jaw-dropping read with sparks that turn into flames of intensity that will have your emotions on ten as you journey with this family on their quest to save two lives. This intense read is filled with suspenseful, surprises, and unexpecting twist and turns that you will not see coming.
This is my first read by L A Lewis, and it will not be my last. I look forward to reading more of her work.
Angel has an unimaginable dilemma...which one of her ill parents does she save? She’s the only match out of her siblings who would be eligible to give one of them a kidney. This was a short read but it was well written and didn’t feel rushed. I was looking for something different with the ending but overall a good read that can spark great discussions and bring health awareness.
God has a way of working things out perfectly. Can you imagine choosing which parent is most deserving of your kidney? Torn: A Daughter’s Love weaves a story that has a perfect ending.
