in this volume, we are still battling between the kyoto and tokyo schools, at the goodwill event, but itadori and todo are fighting a special grade cursed spirit. oh, and gojo can’t get into the school grounds to give his much needed help. but we get to see a lot of the student’s cursed techniques, and cursed tools, and learn a little more backstory on these very loveable characters. i am just so obsessed with itadori and todo’s friendship and dynamic, it’s actually unreal, and i cannot wait for more.

Kind of surprised that one fight (and not even against a main antagonist) was dragged out for an entire volume…. the art style also makes it hard for me to understand what’s happening sometimes.

↑ do not trust me. ALSO I’VE SEEN THE ANIME BTW.
this volume was mostly fighting but we got our babies working together finally!! seeing the kyoto and tokyo school come together to fight a common enemy was really nice to see 🤭 and the way maki and megumi worked together to fight hanami was amazinggg. they were so smooth with it, you can tell they have lots of experience with each other. good teamwork all around my loves 😚
megumi saying “i’ll kill you if you die again!” and itadori responding with “i guess i can’t go dying on ya then.” is all you need to know to like them together. LOVE ITADORI IN THIS BTW LIKE YESSS OUR BABY IS GROWING AND USING BLACK FLASH WE LOVE YOUUU. him and todo = elite duo
I LOVE SEEING GOJO BE THE STRONGESTTTT!! that’s my baby right there! (he’s a grown man) they grow up so fast..no but seriously seeing his abilities like hollow purple is so cool cause he’s literally just THAT powerful. he freaking twisted a guy’s limbs without a second thought like damn. but he’s so cute and silly the way he said “we all good!” was so 🤭🤭 (ok but the guy that wanted to make him into a hanger rack like stop 😭😭 the way he went feral when gojo showed up was so funny…i mean real though ngl that’s a correct response)

“I’m different from everyone else, I pick who I want to protect. I’m the one with the least to lose!! That’s why… I’m not allowed to be the first one to fall!!”
Well, this was certainly a thrilling and actions packed volume with which I had a lot of fun.
It felt like I was breezing through it because of how many battles and action we had. I must admit that I like the change of pace quite a lot. Not because I think that the usual combo of comedy, philosophy, and action doesn't work, because it does work really well, but it is nice to have a genuinely combat-centered volume for once. Philosophizing is fun, I love to be able to get into deep thoughts and motivations a lot, but too much and it can feel too heavy. Comedy is amazing to de-stress but lean too heavily on it and everything will feel empty and superfluous. Which can also be the case with too much combat.
So yeah, I appreciated, greatly, to be able to have this moment to just bask in the gloriousness that is combat in Jujutsu Kaisen, because it is a lot of fun.
The one thing I do find honestly just hilarious to no end is the fact that we had to have a way to keep Gojo, the superpowered character, away from this early fighting in order to not end the fun too soon. It makes sense and it was well managed but, well, it is also obvious to the point that even the characters admit to it - to a degree - which only makes it funnier.
Overall, I was just cheering and having a blast through the whole thing and it felt very refreshing to read.

"El alma es una mezcla de instinto y razonamiento. Y el porcentaje de la mezcla no lo pueden decir los demás."
Maldiciones de grado especial interrumpen los enfrentamientos de intercambio.
- Fusshiguro tiene excelentes técnicas cuerpo a cuerpo.
- Maki demasiado habilidosa. Me sigue pareciendo un personaje super interesante.
- El conjuro de Todo es increíble, una gran ventaja en batalla. No es solo fuerza bruta, tiene una gran capacidad de análisis de sus oponentes. Vamos a aplaudir.
- Destello negro la nueva técnica de Itadori está a otro nivel. Igualando el récord de Nanami.
- Si todos los villanos se hubieran enfrentado a Gojo este manga no hubiera pasado del primer volumen. Nueva demostración de su poder. Increíble.
- Hanami a pesar de que no vimos todo su poder, quedó en evidencia que es una maldición de nivel especial muy poderosa.
Enfrentamientos increíbles, personajes muy bien construidos. Sin embargo, al final la distracción sirvió. El objetivo está cumplido, el grupo de maldiciones está ganando pequeñas batallas que a futuro podrían ser un problema para nuestros protagonistas.

This wasn’t as exciting as I would like this to be. Compared to the previous volumes, this wasn’t the most exhilarating; however, it did have it’s good points.
The glimpse of Kamo’s backstory was intriguing and it proposed so much questions with his relationship towards other characters. Additionally, the volume really proved us the Maki is such a bad gal! I wouldn’t want to be on the bad side of this lady, for sure! She’s funny, thoughtful, and sweet, but she’s also ridiculously strong.
Interestingly enough, the volume also divulges in the prowess of Hanami. Makes you really curious with what their full potential really is. I like to know more about them and the power they possess. Surely they’ve got more secrets in their pocket, no?
I guess the reason why I found this volume relatively more timid than the other ones is the amount of heart it gave to letting the reader have a deeper relationship with the characters. I did enjoy that thought — especially the way it showed us that Todo can actually be more than just his muscle and brawn.

I wonder what it's like for an enemy to face Gojo Headon: the sheer terror one must feel to watch him ascend from the heavens like a God set to smite his enemies. It's probably like being hit with a nuclear bomb when you were only fighting with tanks up until that point. Insane!
Also, I had completely forgotten any detail about that old geezer, so imagine the spit take I did when he whipped out his electric guitar in the middle of that fight??? That scene had me wheezing. I can't believe I had forgotten all about it!
Itadori and Todo's partnership was everything I wanted! I also find it hilarious that Kamo has to carry around blood bags in case of emergency blood magic-ing.
Also amazing how last volume everyone was against each others throats, but when faced with an external threat, they band together to defeat the enemy. Love how everyone worked in tandem to cover the others' weak spots! Lastly, please don't hurt inumaki he's baby! 😔
