It is really sad that the main character is suicidal after his breakup, him and the high schooler (yes it is a age gap but it’s just a story folks) are so cute together. I wish I was able to access more than 1 chapter 😭😭😭😭😭❤️❤️
Loved this as it was a bit of a tear jerker. The story is good, with many layers, and an internal monologue from Kanou that will have you rooting for him and praying for him alternately. Finally a gay romance from Japan with a little depth and a bit of hope for change in the future.
Oh my, that was great. I was looking for some mindless, shallow romance and ended up with a pretty beautiful romance with an actually compelling main character. The sex scenes balanced everything perfectly according to my personal tastes. Totally would re-read this one.
Loneliness, depression and love. Things the MC has to come to terms with. It's a sweet slow burn love story that is focused on kindness and choosing to live and love.
I think the author understands loneliness very well.
Also, the start includes the protagonist (who is depressed and lonely) fixating on a teenager he sees on the train but (minor spoiler!) it’s just a crush; any romance that Does happen is consensual and… age-appropriate.
i love writing like this. six chapters and it had me examining the meaning of life with a magnifying glass. dealt with life and ennui and the exhausting business of keeping oneself alive as a lonely person in this lonely world so so beautifully.
