Sophie

Aren't one night stands supposed to stay in the past? Aren't they supposed to be with a stranger whom you never have to see again?

Yeah. I thought so too.

And then one of my best friends asks me to be the maid-of-honor at her wedding.

Wanna take a guess who the best man is?

I'm screwed.

Nathan

I don't do feelings. I don't do relationships. And I sure as hell don't do love.

And then I was stupid enough to sleep with Soph. The girl who screwed with my head in ways I never could've imagined.

So I left.

I ran.

And I'm going to continue to run as soon as my best friend's wedding is over.

It's one weekend. How hard can it be?

Kelsie is a sucker for a love story with all the feels. When she's not chasing words for her next book, you will probably find her reading or, more likely, hanging out with her husband and playing with her three kiddos who love to drive her crazy.

She adores photography, baking, her yorkie, Bob, and her devon rex, Mara. And now that she's actively pursuing her writing dreams, she's set her sights on someday finding the self-discipline to not binge-watch an entire series on Netflix in one sitting.

This is the first book I've read by this author and absolutely loved it.
The author's sense of humour comes shining through in all the witty banter between the main characters and their nutty friends.
I've gone into this series backwards starting at book 5 but it can easily be read as a standalone

⛔⛔⛔SOME SPOILERS⛔⛔⛔

Sophie is full of sass, wears her heart on her sleeve, and slightly insecure.
Nathan is handsome, cocky, he popped her one-night stand cherry, rocked her world, then he pushed her off the edge making her feel used.
She can't stop thinking about him and the mistake they made.
Then she has to pull up her big girl panties and man-up for her friend's wedding knowing he who shall not be named will be there.

Nathan has one rule - No repeats with the same woman.
F*ck is common practice.
Feelings is a swear word.
That is until one night with Sophie, for some strange unknown reason known to man, he gets the feels, but he has his rule and needs to stick to his guns and walk away.
Then he has to be part of the wedding party and all he sees is Sophie with all her witty sexy sass, but she's a woman scorned.

When their thrown together for their best friends wedding what can go wrong?
Or can it all go right?

So there is so much to say about Sophie. For those of you into a clean romantic book, this is for you. She knows how to write the romance, and the feelings without making it dirty or including the naughty bits. Sophie is a great character as well as Nathan and I love the two of them together. Their chemistry is fantastic and the way that Nathan cant get her out of his mind is awesome especially for a man who doesn't go back for "seconds". Sophie is a standalone, with a HEA, but I would recommend reading the other 4 books in the series first so you can get more awesome backstory on these two. You can also learn about the others as well. Such a great story, one that I am sure you will love as well.

The first book that I've read by this author and really enjoyed it. I went in blind, i haven't read any blurb or anything and had the pleasant surprise with the writing style which i really like, with such reliable characters and enjoyed a lot how the author pictured them and made them grow with everything in their story.
Sometimes a one night stand can develop in a lifetime together or in just that, a great night and everyone moves on. After that one night, none of them seem to just go on and when they have to be part of the same wedding, the sparks are still there , and their story really begins with great banter and even greater friends, probably from previous books which i have to check as i enjoyed their characters and i am sure they made quite a story or some of them will do in the next book.
Lust, love, great banner, great friends, lol moments, a big HEA.

Love it, love it! I highly recommend it!
This story was truly beautiful. And that ending ... perfect ♥

description

This is the second book I've read by Kelsie Rae and she became my favourite author. I want to read all her books! She has a very good writing style.
Sophie is a Second Chance love story. This is spoken in dual perspectives. I prefer Nathan's. It’s just sweet and romantic. The book was absolutely amazing and I loved every character in this book. I fell in love with Nathan. He is so sweet and I think that he isn’t a playboy. He was just waiting for the perfect girl. And then he meets Sophie. She was naive and irresponsible. Love blinds her and she was only thinking about Nathan.

Kelsie Rae hits it out of the park with her Signature Sweethearts series and "Sophie" is another sensational installment of sweet, sassy, romance in this series of standalones. Sophie and Nathan make for one sweetheart couple. Their journey together is beautiful and steamy.
Sophie and Nathan had a one night stand that didn't end up well at all. They both have feelings for one another but Nathan doesn't do relationships( as the story will go into) and he failed to tell any of this to Sophie before they hooked up!
Sophie didn't expect to ever see Nathan again after that "night" but seeing as Nathan's best friend is marrying Sophie's best friend and they are both in the wedding. What's 4 days of having to be around the man that ruined you? Surely nothing is going to happen, right ? Nope, everything goes wrong!
Sophie's feelings never went away but the distance between them hide what she felt until she was back in Nathan's orbit. Same goes for Nathan-Nathan tried so hard to hide his feelings for Sophie yet he failed so hard at it explosively.
He cant can't get Sophie out of his head nor can Sophie get Nathan out of her head at all. They try to be friends but you can't fool love. They even try to deny their attraction but that was just laughable because the sparks lit up around them both to the point fires were blowing up around them. The chemistry was electrifying. Sophie and Nathan make for a great couple - loved the push/pull between them. It was a sassy, sexy, sweet and steamy read. Loved the ending of the story- it grabbed my heart.

I adore the Signature Sweethearts series by Kelsie Rae! Sophie is another sweet, romantic installment in this series of standalones, and it’s packed full of conflicting emotions, a hero who is denying what is right in front of him, and a heroine who is trying to protect herself from more heartache.

Before the book starts, Sophie (who works at Indie’s bakery) has a one-night stand with Nathan, who is Rhett’s coworker. Nathan has a firm one-and-done rule, not believing in love due to his parents’ relationship and farce of a matchmaking business. Neither Sophie or Nathan have forgotten their one night together, even though he’s moved across the country a few days later.

But when Nathan and Sophie are forced to spend the weekend together as maid of honor and best man for Indie and Rhett’s destination wedding in paradise, the want and need that they feel for one another causes them both to reevaluate where things stand between them.

This sweet story has all the feels. And we get to catch up with Quincy and Jude, and Breezy and Derrick, while the story sets up the next book: Sophie’s brother Marcus and her best friend Natalie.

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Sophie was my first book by Kelsie Rae and she has been officially added to my “must read” list! This was a sweet romance with a sassy heroine that I absolutely fell in love with. I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline and how the hero, Nathan, had to really work for her trust. There was witty banter, a tiny bit of drama (can you say manwhore?) and the overall build of Nathan and Sophie’s relationship really worked well. The secondary characters truly added even more to the story and I just could not put this book down!

Kelsie Rae is a breath of fresh air. Her characters may be a figment of her imagination, but they speak to the human in us all. She proves that a person doesn't have to be perfect to live their best life. With humor and heart she captivates. Sophie is the best of us at the worst of times. Through the flaws of life, Sophie and Nathan get the chance at love. Can they keep their wits on the road to losing their hearts?

Sophie and Nathan are one super sweet couple. Lana~ White Hot Reads

Nathan is a little gun shy when it comes to relationships and doesn't know if he wants one or not. Sophie likes Nathan and wishes he could be different. As these two are thrown together for the wedding they are both attending, true feelings finally come out between them and promises are made.

The first month of the year and I've already found a new author. I will be going back to look at her previous books.

Sophie and Nathan have a one night fling abd then they are thrown together at a friend's wedding the attraction is obvious and sparks fly. I enjoyed this sweet romantic fun story. Even though relationships make him nervous Nathan will still make you swoon and Sophie will make you giggle.

This was a quick read, it was fun and flirty and emotional.

5 Stars ... You are going to eat up Sophie & Nathan's story! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic’s Read

Sophie is in love.... with her one night stand... who was a good friend... who is now nothing to her. He walked away after blowing up her world.

Nathan has not gotten the sassy little woman out of his mind. Sophie is making Nathan break his one rule. Never go back for seconds.

You are going to completely love these characters.

Another great book from this author. I am loving the Signature Sweethearts series and have read all the books. This is Sophie and Nathan's story. This is the fifth book in the series but it can be read as a standalone.

Sophie and Nathan had a one night stand that didn't end up well at all. They both have feelings for one another but Nathan doesn't do relationships and he failed to tell any of this to Sophie before they hooked up!

Sophie, I loved watching her grow as a woman and as a person. Sophie didn't expect to ever see Nathan again after that "night" but seeing as Nathan's best friend is marrying Sophie's best friend and they are both in the wedding. What's four days of having to be around the man that ruined you? Surely nothing is going to happen, right ? Nope, everything goes wrong.

Nathan, I disliked him in Rhett for what he did to Sophie and for parts of the story and I wanted to rip him to shreds in other parts but he redeemed himself in the end.

Could not put this book down!!! I have not had the pleasure of reading any of Kelsie’s books yet but oh my word do I need to go back and read the rest of this series!!!! It’s the little things that make you happy and swoon and do a happy dance! As far as I could tell you didn’t need to read the books before but oh will you want to read them after!! The love I have for authors who I have never read before is unlike anything I could describe and just after one book I’m giddy with excitement for more!

Ahh!! Freaking Sophie!!! You can tell she is young but that’s okay because I’m already too excited to see how it goes to even care because you can feel the anticipation building! (And FYI I would love to have friends like hers because I need a vacation but I’m broke. 🤣) Sophie breaks my heart a few times with her unknown parts of what’s actually happening and I got giddy but also broken hearted when I could tell things were going south. Oh Sophie! Even with her being young I really enjoyed her and her romantic self! I held out hope for something that could never happen and I felt sick for her all over again!

Dude Nathan...... ugh. As much as I wanted to hate him and despise him, burn his face or even punch his man bits; I still couldn’t help but feel him in my soul! I think I read him from the very beginning and even though I knew what was going to happen with him it still surprised the crap out of me and I cried!

I loved watching the banter with these two and Natalie, Sophie’s best friend. I’m in love with this group of people and not only am I excited to see what is next from them but I’m ecstatic that I get to go back and read from the beginning of them! What an incredibly intriguing group of people that I can’t help but fall in love with!

Fabulous, fun book! 5⭐️s!

What a fabulous, fun book! Sophie had a one night stand with Nathan and after, he moves across the country! Talk about feeling used! Sophie thought they were at minimum friends! But he broke off all communication after their night. Unfortunately, Sophie still missed her friend, and although she managed to move on with her life, she really could never forget or forgive!

Sophie works at Indie’s bakery, and just learned that she is going to be a bridesmaid at her imminent destination wedding! Of course, Indie’s best man is going to be Nathan! Sophie knew the day would come, but now she HAS to play nice with Nathan! Nathan is a man-whore who never sleeps more than once with the same woman. This is due to his parents marriage who run a matchmaking business but who’s marriage is not happy. But Nathan misses his friend Sophie, and when he sees her, old feelings come flooding back. Feelings he’s never had to deal with before! The scene on the plane with Nathan banging the stewardess and Sophie giving him a wonderful speech, was so hilarious! I’m sure many readers were jumping up and down and cheering Sophie!

The push, pull, push relationship between Sophie and Nathan was so fun to watch. The devastating news Sophie needs to deal with (although obvious to us readers), was something that brought the two closer. My only fear is Nathan getting skittish in future, but for now, the two found their HEA!

I can’t wait for the next book! Hopefully Sophie’s brother?

This is a story that provides so many feels. You will laugh, tear up, swoon and most of all hope. Yes, this is a story of hope with some frustration thrown in for good measure. It’s also a story about taking chances and courage. Are you willing to take chances or are you stuck in your ways and afraid to follow your inner feelings?

Sophie is the firecracker pixie-like girl who had a one night stand with the well known manwhore who was one of her good friends. Now she has to see him again with knots in her stomach and spend a whole weekend in his company.
Nathan is the one nightstand who never intended to see Sophie again. He doesn’t do relationships but he misses his friend.

During the story we get to become reacquainted with characters from past stories and meet some interesting new characters. Hopefully, we’ll get to meet up with them again in a future read.

It’s a very fast read. I read it in one sitting due to the fact that it’s an easy book and I really wanted to see what happened. It actually made me tear up in certain parts and smile, cause I think at different points in the story we’ve all experienced the feelings that were invested in this story. I don’t do spoilers so it’s a little difficult to write what I so much want to talk about. I suggest you read this book. I really believe you will enjoy it if you;re looking for a lite read and a sweet story.

I’m looking forward to this author’s next book.

Miss Rae has done it again!
Another phenomenal book!!!
5+ stars!!!

Book five in the Signature Sweethearts series but can be read as a standalone!
So I know i'm not going to have words to do this book justice but i'm gonna try even though i'll probably just end up rambling.

This book was amazing!!! (repetitive I know but bare with me) I literally read this in one sitting, I couldn't put it down. It was just that good. I was able to really escape with this book and the way Miss Rae writes the characters really come to life.

Sophie and Nathan had a one night stand that ended really bad! They both ended up having feelings for each other but Nathan doesn't do relationships and failed to mention that to Soph before they hooked up!
Soph didn't expect to see Nathan again but... Nathan's best friend is marrying Soph's best friend and they are both in the wedding! But what's four days of having to be around they man that ruined you? It's nothing right? nope so not nothing!
Soph's feelings never went away but the distance between them was masking it.
Nathan tried so friggin' hard to hide his feelings for Soph, he fails miserably at it.
He can't get Soph out of his head at all.

Oh and that surprise!!!!
This book had me feeling all kinds of different emotions.
I laughed, cried and got a little angry.
I definitely recommend this book!
I can't wait for Marcus's book!

With her best friends married can she quickly get over the hurt of the man who she thought was the one? But soon a secret will rock her world and turn it all catawampus. Is it possible to overcome everything thrown at her and still some out sane?

Nathan is an ass and everyone knows it. But there is one he truly feels like he should have been better to but not sure he can get over himself and prove true love exists to a non-believer like himself. Is it possible that his starts will finally align with his heart and show him the way?

Kelsie Rae is a new author to me, and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed her book Sophia. I cried with Sophia thought her world was over, but true love can never really die. I have been reading Kelsie Rae since her debut novel and have been a huge fan since then. I have read every single one of her releases and she never disappoints. Her stories are sweet, charming and heartwarming romances. I love her writing, her characters and how much she just makes us feels

In Sophie, we get Sophie and Nathan’s story. Sophie does not do one-night stands and Nathan does not do anything else. He stays as far away from relationships as he can. And after spending one-night together, he leaves because he could just want more with Sophie. She is hurt and upset but decides to move on. Now they have to spend time together as their friends get married. Neither forgot their one-night, and their chemistry is undeniable, but knowing how Nathan feels about relationships, she knows there is no chance for them, right?

I absolutely loved reading Sophie by Kelsie Rae. It was so sweet. I loved Sophie and Nathan so much, even if I did want to hit him at times. But it was their journey to take. It was also so much fun catching up with all the previous characters. Though each book in the Signature Sweethearts series can be read as a standalone, the characters and their backstories are great reads as well!

The notorious bad boy corrupted the innocent virgin girl, and then left her.. Yup just upped and vanished...

Paths never to cross again... until the wedding of his best friend to her best friend.

Two rules to live his life by never sleep with the same girl more than once and never fall in love.

It's easier that way.. right?

A week to help plan the wedding, to avoid each other, relax and have fun ..

Sophie the girl who wanted her first time to be special, to mean something has been devestated since he upped and left.

Nathan the guy who knew he would want more with her but couldn't give it, so he ran.

Two people who have different experiences and expectations of love in this delightful and enchanting read.

I've read all of Kelsie Raes books and will continue to do so as I thoroughly enjoy her books.

There's innocence in her writing and it's refreshing. The relationships between the characters are heart warming and endeering, and every character is so loveable in their own way.

Each book can be read as a standalone but they are all interconnected with the characters showing up in different books.

A beautiful read full of friendship, solidarity, warmth and heartfelt emotions.

A book for one and all to enjoy.

5 STAR Review by Jodi for Ruby Red Romance Review

I love Kelsie Rae. She's quickly become one of my favorite authors. Her writing is fantastic and her stories are well developed and exactly what I need when I want to just fall for a character. Sophie was everything I was hoping for and so much more. This is book 5 in the Signature Sweethearts Series. I loved getting to see our old friends.

I loved Sophie. I love her spirit and who she is. There were times that my heart actually hurt for her. She has such a great soul and there were things that affected her and her personality that just made me hurt. I loved watching her get past it all and move on. I loved watching her grow as a woman and as a person.

Nathan, for as much as I wanted to throat punch him, he really was an amazing guy. I disliked him for parts of the story and I wanted to rip him to shreds in other parts, but he redeemed himself in the end. And no, I don't tend to be a violent person, but I truly felt invested in this story and when Sophie hurt, I hurt for her. I felt like I was watching my best friend, so I might have been overcome with emotion for her.

I sincerely loved this story and can't wait for more from Kelsie Rae. Please check out Sophie and the other books in this great series.

Five Stars!

I have enjoyed this series by Kelsie Rae and this one has to be my favorite of them all. These two characters will have you rooting for them from the first page. You will laugh and swoon.

Sophie and Nathan started as a one night stand. That’s all Nathan ever did. Sophie gave her greatest gift to Nathan and he broke her heart. But now these two are thrown together and the feelings that were on the surface come full on when they get around each other for Indie and Rhett’s wedding.

Nathan is a one and done type of guy, never catching feelings. He doesn’t believe in love or relationships. But one night changed all of that. One night wasn’t enough for him. One woman has changed his entire thinking.

We watch as these two succumb to their feelings. Being together on this trip shows them both what they want and have missed. But the best part is the surprise of their life and once that’s out.....watch out because LOVE takes ahold.

Highly recommended.

I am late to the party of this great series! This was my first book to read in this series. It can be a standalone. But there are some inside jokes I can tell I didn't get. That just makes me want to read the previous books. I absolutely loved this story. Sophie and Nathan have a history. They shared a one night stand. Sophie fell for him. Nathan fell for her but refuses to believe it. He has a rule that he doesn't sleep with the same woman twice. He definitely doesn't do relationships. His parents are to thank for that. Their best friends are now getting married. They are forced to interact. They try to be friends but you can't fool love. As they try to deny their attraction us readers fell in love with both characters. I found myself almost screaming into the book for them to be together. They belong together. Then a surprise happens and it all becomes clear to them. I will be honest, I didn't see that event coming. This is the perfect sweet, hilarious, fun romance. As I said before, I can't wait to read the previous books to fall more in love with all the characters in this story.

Let's get to the 'meat and potatoes' of this GREAT story....

Sophie lost her virginity to Nathan. Nathan then left saying he was basically a one time man - doesn't sleep with a woman more then once. Prior to sleeping together, Sophie felt they were friends and now they aren't even that.
Fast forward to a month later at one of her closest friends wedding.... a destination wedding which requires a 24 hour flight... and these two see each other again. In fact, Sophie hears him having sex with the flight attendant while on the flight. talk about a slap in the face! (In light of how this story plays out, I hate that part - she should have just been given him a blowjob. No way I would have forgiven him so easily/quickly in real life.)

So they decide to be friendly to each other because of the wedding , but both have issues with keeping things platonic. I'm going to end here, but just know it gets good.
Real good.

I highly recommend this one!
I have not read the previous books in this story, but I don't feel like it took away from this story.

Hey, romance readers if you are looking for a more PG-13 romance book then this would be the one for you. This was such a cute book to read and a nice break from the erotic romance novels I have been reading.

FUNNY, SWEET, & SASSY are the words to describe the relationship between Sophie and Nathan. Let’s just say their relationship started out as ENEMIES but eventually evolving into LOVERS. Sophie is the kind of woman who knows who she is and has no problem saying what is on her mind. As for Nathan, he is the man that acts like a little boy around Sophie. These two are constantly pushing each other’s buttons unlit they finally decide to call a truce and become friends. After becoming friends their feelings for each other become stronger. They try to fight these feelings for each other but in the end, love always wins.

Oh and before I forget there is an unexpected turn of event that happens in this book but you will have to read it to find out what it is!

This is the first book I have read by Kelsie Rae and it certainly won’t be the last , this may be book 5 in the Signature Sweethearts Series but I’m proof it can be read as a stand-alone because I’m playing catch i with the rest of this series. I’m guessing from the very funny witty banter that goes on throughout this book that this author has a brilliant sense of humour and it certainly comes through in her characters. This story captivated me I could not put it down, it had the perfect mix of passion and humour with just a hint of drama and if you are looking for a sweet funny easy to read love story I suggest you one click Sophie as soon as you can, all I need to do now is find the time to read the previous books in Signature Sweethearts because I’m sure if they are anything like Sophie I will love them all. Great read and I’m looking forward to reading more from this very talented author.

Sophie and Nathan find their way

It’s no secret that I love Author Kelsie Rae. I’ve read every book and will continue to read every book because they get better and better.

Sophie and Nathan are perfect for each other but sometimes it takes some planning and some unexpected plans to get the perfect people together.

We met Sophie and Nathan before and we knew they would get their own book. It is amazing. I read it in a day because I just love to devour books especially Kelsie’s.

Sweet and sexy, love and dislike this book has it all. Plus we get to have our friends from previous book back (that’s always a favorite when we get past characters back).

You can’t go wrong with any of The Signature Sweethearts series books. If you haven’t read one before it’s ok, they are standalone but honestly why not start at the beginning?!?

Kelsie this book is crazy sweet and I couldn’t get enough. Sophie is adorable and a girl I would love to be best friends with. She is so nice and looks for the best in everyone. Her forgiving nature makes me smile. Nathan is very sexy but his jaded issues make me want to clobber him, but the way he gets his sh$$ together is spot on and then I want to kiss him. This is my new favorite book of yours!
Sophie and Nathan are meant to be and their text messages are life. Oh and Sophie has this amazing over protective brother named Marcus and you won’t believe what he does and I for one loved him for it. Girls with brothers like him are blessed or at least I think so. It’s awesome to have the couples from previous books back together in this story and some surprises and special guests. Kelsie Rae, I could read this book over and over again. It was breathtakingly beautiful and makes me wish I could go fall in love all over again so it could happen in the Maldives.

Oh em gee! Can we talk about how freakin’ adorable this book is?! Like... ice cream, rom com, ladies movie night cute! That’s how I felt reading this. And while Kelsie is a new-to-me author, and that this is the fifth book in a series, I didn’t felt left out or confused. I fell in love with all the other characters that have already come, and I CAN’T FREAKIN’ WAIT for those that are coming... *cough... Natalie & Marcus...cough* LOL

From the childish name calling to the steamy beach nights, I felt that Sophie aka Tink was my best friend, but I also couldn’t get enough of the arrogant Nathan.

If you are looking for a cute friends to lovers to enemies to lovers, this is SOOOO for you. I can’t wait to get a moment so I can binge read the rest of the series. <3

This was my first introduction to Kelsie Rae, and I absolutely adored this book. A beautifully written sweet romance that has one of the best heroines I have read lately. Sophie is just a fantastic character. I loved everything about her. She is sassy, sweet, extremely kind hearted and has a wicked personality. I think Nathan was very lucky that he was the man she was falling for. There is also some great secondary characters in this book as well. Some I believe are from previous books but it was noogie that I thought shone the most. I can't wait to read her story.
