He lost everything. Then he found her.

Anthony

After losing everything that has ever mattered to me, I find myself in a downward spiral with no hope in sight. I'm broken. Battered. And more bitter than I'd like to admit.
Then I meet Sway Swenson.
She's sexy, fun, spontaneous, has zero inhibitions, and thinks relationships are a waste of time. Just like me. The only problem? She's hiding something, and the longer I hang around her, the more I want to uncover her secret.
If only she'd let me.

Sway

I don't do relationships. A crippling experience in high school was enough to make me avoid them like the plague.
Then I meet Anthony Wright.
Everything is fine until he decides to take off his stupid shirt and gives me a glimpse of his washboard abs. When he suggests hot and sweaty sex with no strings attached, I'm stupid enough to jump in with both feet. Yup. I fall for his ludicrous idea, but I refuse to fall for the man himself.
Even if he does make me curious about what life could be like if I wasn't broken.

*Anthony is a standalone in the Signature Sweethearts series and is a heartfelt second chance contemporary romance with an unlovable hero who decides relationships aren’t for him and an accepting heroine who proves him wrong .*

****Can be read as a standalone.****

Kelsie is a sucker for a love story with all the feels. When she's not chasing words for her next book, you will probably find her reading or, more likely, hanging out with her husband and playing with her three kiddos who love to drive her crazy.

She adores photography, baking, her yorkie, Bob, and her devon rex, Mara. And now that she's actively pursuing her writing dreams, she's set her sights on someday finding the self-discipline to not binge-watch an entire series on Netflix in one sitting.

Wow, just wow! And that ending! This was a perfect ending!

Anthony was a light, easy and absorbing romantic read. Spoken in dual perspectives. It was a beautiful and Sweet story. I absolutely loved this book!
Anthony and Sway are perfect for each other. I really loved both of them. They are well develop and likable.
Anthony is fantastic prince Charming. He's my new fictional boyfriend.
Sway was such a great character. She was not only likeable, but was also funny. She is a good person, and what I liked the most was that you could see her goodness from her actions.
I am in love with Kelsie Rae and all her books! I can't wait for the next one to come out. She writes amazing emotional stories and this one is no exception. I just love reading her books.
Anthony is a must read if you love sweet romance!

So seriously my favorite of all the Signature Sweetheart series! You will see Anthony first in Rhett, so that will give you a little backstory into his life and why he is the way he is in his book. This is a stand-alone, but I highly recommend you reading Rhett first.
My heart aches for Anthony and I loved the way he is portrayed in this book. I can honestly say that I am in love with his character. Anthony is a sweet soul who will captivate you in a way that can’t be stopped. He’s broken, he’s sweet and he’s lost, he just needs someone to break him into realizing he is worth it. Such a great read and you will not be disappointed! I loved everything from the chemistry to the healing. A true 5 star must read from Kelsie!!

Oh, I am so glad that we got Anthony's story! It didn't connect in my mind when I read the blurb, but Anthony is Tony... aka Indie's long-term boyfriend from the going-nowhere-relationship-that's-more-like-roommates from Rhett. It was so nice to see how Anthony was impacted by the events that led to the end of his and Indie's relationship!

When we see Anthony now, he's lower than low. He's depressed for having lost Indie, and then he lost his job. And then he drove drunk and crashed into a vet's building. For community service, Anthony was ordered to volunteer at the cat shelter he crashed into... and little did he know, but that day, he crashed into the home of the woman of his dreams.

Swayze (Sway) is everything Anthony is not. Where he's rigid, she's lax. He plans everything, she plans nothing. They are completely opposite, but they bring out a different side to one another. And in different ways, they are both very broken people. Anthony wears his emotions on his sleeve -- anyone who asks, he'll tell them that he's in a funk due to the end of a long-term relationship. He feels unlovable. And Sway doesn't let any guy get too close because she feels she's damaged goods physically. She doesn't make plans for her future because everything she dreamed about was ripped away from her.

Yet somehow, Sway takes in stray Anthony, rehabs him like one of her injured kittens and he manages to heal her heart and soul along the way.

This is a sweet, uplifting read with the only drama between the characters being Sway's own issues and hang-ups. I've loved every book in this series so far, and adored the tease we got to her sister Skye's story, coming up next! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

‘Anthony’ is the 7th book in the ‘Signature Sweethearts’ series, and personally the second book I have read by Kelsie Rae.

Initially I was hesitant to read a book from a series with no background knowledge, but fear not! All of Rae’s books can be read and enjoyed as standalone’s, and I have become hooked on her writing style and loveable characters.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review, and after reading ‘Marcus’ I was thrilled! I love this author’s ability to write heartache and put a different spin on it.

The book is about Anthony, a man who is utterly down on his luck. He’s lost his girlfriend, his job and has started to fall into a spiral with drink. He has truly hit rock bottom. When he lands himself in community service with DUI and learns that his ex is getting married, he finally realises that he needs to get his act together.

He finds comfort in working at the Cat sanctuary owned by Sway, healing in the process of caring for animals that are as helpless as him. It allows him to open up and reflect and Sway is the perfect match for him.

I love Sway for her quirky, easy going nature and her ability to rescue and care for a huge amount of cats. She too feels broken from a bad experience in her past, and vows under no circumstances to do relationships. But with Anthony being as sweet as he is, and the promise of no strings, Sway can’t help but give in to temptation.

This romance is sweet with lots of cute moments that keep you page-turning. It is not heavily filled with drama but made for the perfect read.

If you are a romance reader and have not yet explored one of Kelsie Rae’s books, do it now, you are missing out!

I wondered how I would feel about this story because Anthony frustrated me so much in the last book. That being said, I appreciate how he grew up and found himself and what he was missing after he met Swayze. She is funny and colorful and full of life, but she also has this vulnerable standoffish side. She has an underlying pain that she lets block her chance at having a forever love. I adore Sway’s sisters and her parents. I am not a cat person and I even fell in love with her crazy kitties.
This couple has outstanding chemistry and such an easy banter that is so comfortable.
But a secret Sway is hiding brings everything to a devastating halt. These two have to figure out how not to crash and burn because they are meant to be! You need to read this book for Jasper, spontaneous adventures and their “lucky charm” Clover alone. Kelsie Rae, you have this way of making me fall in love with your characters even the strays!

From the first book I read by Kelsie Rae, I have been enthralled with her stories, writing, characters and her Signature Sweethearts series. In Anthony we get the story of Anthony and Sway. We previously met Anthony, but each book can be read as a standalone and are worth the read.

Anthony is a bit lost and well unhappy. I do not want to give too much away for anyone who has not read the previous books He seems to hit rock bottom when he get a DUI and is sentenced to community service. Enter Sway. I loved her. She was quirky and fun and wants nothing to do with relationships. Anthony was going through some hard times and it took a while to find himself. We get to see a different side of hi here and one we can cheer for. Neither wanted anything serious, but life never goes as planned.

I loved Anthony by Kelsie Rae. It was an emotional story that was charming and sweet. They are total opposites and yet they fit each other perfectly.

Redemption at its best!

Anthony is Indie’s ex and he is not a man whom I was ready to embrace from previous books. However, we see a different side of Anthony in this book.

Anthony is not taking the breakup with Indie well, and he creates his own disaster, not caring about others affected by his actions. However, when he drives into a cat rescue centre and vet clinic, he has to pay penance by volunteering there. He never expected that he drove himself into the arms of the woman for whom he’d been waiting.

Sway is wonderful woman, giving of herself even after rough past experiences. The cattery is amazing! I just loved this concept! And I loved how Anthony was was caught completely off guard by Sway!

There are certain authors that have a permanent place on bookshelves and in hearts. Kelsie Rae is one. Her claim to fame is that she finds humor in heartache. Anthony and Sway give readers a reason to smile, even as their lives are falling apart. Sway is a firecracker. Her spirit has fire, but her heart is a mass of broken pieces. Her cynicism, brings out the pessimist in Anthony, who is fighting his way through some painful experiences of his own. Both have much to learn, when it comes to matters of the heart. Lesson No. 1.: You can't hurry love. Lesson No. 2: When the time and person are right, love will find you. A breath of fresh air with a realistic twist.

Omg this book was so good!! It wasn't at all steamy but I didn't miss it one bit. The chemistry between Sway and Anthony was incredible! I found myself cheesing a lot while reading this. The characters are so lovable and the plot so realistic. Not once was I annoyed by their decisions because everything that happened made sense. It was funny, swoon worthy, entertaining and sweet. I loved this so so much.

Read it. Now.

Anthony is the latest book in Kelsie Rae's Signature Sweethearts series but can be read as a standalone.

This love story is about two damaged characters finding themselves so that they can find true love and happiness in life.

The way the author tells Anthony and Sway's story pulls you in and keeps you turning the pages. For me, it was a fast read but one that I very much enjoyed.

If you haven't read any books by author Kelsie Rae, get this one now. Then read all the rest too because you won't want to stop.

Oh my...what a truly inspirational, sigh-worthy, spectacular romance that gave me SO MANY of the feels! Kelsie Rae wrote a really great book here. Sweet, emotional, sizzling, romantic and with a perfect set of characters and a solid plot, this book was really hard to put away. I loved every moment of the angst, the toe curling romance and the sweetness. The story was all encompassing and completely engrossing. A real good book!

A new favorite!

I keep thinking the ones I already read were my favorites then I read a new one by Kelsie and I am blown away. Anthony is so lovable. Sway breaks my heart. Together they are so amazing! They both deserved a happy future. Definitely going in the re read column.

I absolutely love this series! We first met Anthony in Rhett’s book. And while he wasn’t completely an ass, he was less than likable. In this book he starts off floundering and makes a couple of mistakes. But as in life, what you may think was a mistake, was just life’s way of pushing you in a different direction. Without making his mistake, he never would have met Sway. I’m glad Anthony turns out to be such a great guy. I may have to go back and read Rhett again now that I like Anthony and know he gets his HEA.

I’m always so excited when a new book comes out from Kelsie Rae! She never disappoints! We’ve meet Anthony before in this series in his old like. Making bad choices leads him to meet the “crazy cat lady”, Swayze. She is fun, loving and enough to help Anthony get on with his life. As they work with these lovable felines, their relationship grows. It was such a fun read! I finally began to like and then love Anthony!!!!!

Each and every time I see a new release for this lovely author I can’t help but get giddy with excitement. You know it’s going to be something that tugs at your soul and makes you swoon like you’ve never swooned before.

Sway is a woman after my own heart, she has so much heart for others it makes you melt to witness. The build up of the revelation about her past had my stomach in knots of few times. (Hitting a little close to home that made me uneasy.) The pain she has endured is something you never want anyone to feel. But even with all the pain she doesn’t let it effect most of her life she lets it inspire her; push her to have the life that makes her the happiest when she doesn’t think it exists.

Anthony seemed like the dumbass businessman who got his heart broken and didn’t care who he hurt in the process of not dealing with his own pain. The fact that he is one man at the beginning and then transforms is completely sexy as hell to watch. I know Sway was struck dumb but oh fuck did he seem drool worthy sexy even from my imagination.

I freaking loved this whole idea of saving cats, the cattery is just about my favorite thing I’ve read! At the beginning I disliked Anthony but I was being judgmental and annoyed at the way he was being. I understood he was hurt but it seemed to turn dark real quick with him and I worried for what was to come. I never expected this spitfire of a woman with pink hair to swoop in and not only knock me on my ass but also Anthony. I can’t wait to read the next one!!! 💜

I love this series. I admit freely that I simply read this book for 2 reasons, I loved the cover and I love Kelsie Raes writing style. I didn’t even read the blurb. Because of that it took me a moment to connect the dots of who Anthony was. ( we meet him as Tony in Rhett) By the time this was clear to me I was already invested and really wanted to see him happy. I’ll be honest and say I hadn’t really given his story any thought since Indie broke up with him. But wow! What a story. They say there’s two sides to every story and this certainly proves it.

I loved this from the start, it captured me from the first line, then add in cats and pink hair and I was sold! 😂 Anthony and Sway were both a bit broken and damaged and through coming together they made each other whole. Healing through cars was even better and I loved how Sway frequently compares Anthony to stray cats to explain how he’s feeling. Seeing Anthony come to the realisations that Indie did about their relationship is, at times heart breaking, seeing him discover that he wasn’t really living, only going through the motions, that Sway almost unlocks him and sets him free is beautiful.

Sway is an amazing character, I loved her parents and how loving and open they were with her. Her sisters were pretty awesome too and I can’t wait for their stories.
Learning to trust again after such devastation, for both of them, is hard and I love how they work through it and are stronger together. I really hope we get to see more of them as a couple in Sways sisters books.

If you love a sweet romance full of all the good feels than Anthony is the perfect story for you! This is now my favorite book in the Signature Sweetheart series!
Anthony has made some mistakes and his last one leaves him at the doorstep of the crazy cat lady named Sway with the purple hair. Right from the beginning these two characters have an ease and comfort about them as they get to know each other, become friends and decide that their mutual attraction is worth pursuing.
When Anthony first shows up he is in need of some healing and who would have thought that taking care of a bunch of cats who are also feeling a bit lost and in need would help him find peace, but it is the friendship and bond that he is building with Sway that has opened up his heart again. He just has to break down her walls, get her to open up to him so she can heal too and he can show her that what they have together is the real deal.

4.5 Stars for Anthony
I was so excited to read Anthony’s story and I wasn’t disappointed it was everything I expected and more once again this author managed to tug at my heartstrings as I got to know this couple.
Anthony has made a few bad choices and all paths seem to lead to a crazy cat lady named Swayze, she is just what Anthony needs in his life a fun loving woman determined to get him to get on with his life and as they care for Sway ‘s loveable felines they finds themselves wanting more than just a friendship and I found myself falling in love with the swoon worthy Anthony and the spitfire of a woman with bright pink hair. I loved the characters, I loved the story but most of all I loved the banter that flowed so naturally as this couple found love. I laughed and I giggled at the crazy cat lady’s antics and I’m sure you will too if you give Anthony a one click. Looking forward to more in the Signature Sweethearts a series of stand-alone books.

His world imploded and he ran. Too embarrassed to admit it to his family he ends up in drunk behind the wheel and doing community service. She has sworn off relationships after tragedy struck her as a teen, now the smoking hot moody guy would be there until restitution is done. Nothing will happen. She'll be okay and guard her heart. He'll be okay since he's still recovering from his failed romance. What harm could it do? I love these two. The author gives them time to find out they want more. She brings us into their world and let's us laugh and feel with them. There isn't much high drama but it still rocks you with the issues they are both dealing with. I love this author, her sweethearts and the mates that help them heal and learn to love and be loved. Great addition to the standalone series.

I have read all of the Signature Sweetheart series and was sooo worried I couldn't be convinced to like Anthony. His weird relationship with Indie from "Rhett" just made me not like him. When Kelsie Rae said her next book was about Anthony I cringed. I figured I have loved all of Kelsie Rae's books I should trust her. Now about the book, I really liked it. Sway was fun and likeable. I actually see Sway as highly relatable (I too have health issues that made me change my view of the future). Anthony is still not my favorite but he definitely has more redeeming qualities than I would have thought before. Overall, "Anthony" was a great addition to the series and I am glad Kelsie Rae wrote Anthony's story.

Proof that the right person at the right time will make love work. Anthony's life is spiraling out of control, and he drives through Sway's sign while he's intoxicated. Part of his sentence is community service hours at her house/vet clinic/cat foster home. Sway's a wild child, complete with pink hair and crazy colors in her home. Something happened in her past that broke her, and she's completely uninterested in relationships. She begins to break down his walls, in her attempt to understand what happened to him and try to be a friend. That backfires, though, as her walls begin to crumble as well. She just can't reveal her biggest secret to him. I love this book - it's my first read from this author, and won't be the last. The characters are terrific together, and her family is a hoot!

I don’t know where to begin! This book consumed my afternoon, I could not stop until it was finished. Kelsie!!! I love all the Signature Series, but this...wow! Amazing doesn’t even begin to describe it.

Anthony hits rock bottom after loosing his girl and his job. He has nowhere to go but up, right? Try to tell that to the judge after a night of drinking and driving. Luckily he is sentenced to community service which brings him to Sway.

Sway doesn’t do relationships so working with a guy who is still broken over his last relationship should be a breeze... But what happens when she starts to see him as more than a friend?

Great story with heartwarming feels and romance with amazing main characters ( Anthony and Sway ). You first met Anthony in Rhett and now he's back in his own story. Without giving anything away, his and Sway's romance has alot of feels, romance, drama, angst, twists and passion. I liked Sway and her sassy, sweet and independent ways. It hides the broken parts to her soul. Tony is the man who can heal her just as she can heal him but what happens when the past comes rearing it's ugly self? Can they each heal the other and in the process get the HEA they've been waiting for?

So, after reading Rhett, I wasn't really expecting to like Anthony, he really was kind of an idiot in the past... That being said, I love him and Sway. Talk about seeming opposites, but he really needed a fresh start, and he found one with a crazy cat lady/veterinarian and a cat with an attitude in Jasper.

Anthony had only had Indie in his past, he was all about the relationship deal, while Sway had a secret she really held onto throughout the book that kept her moving from nonrelationship to nonrelationship. Obviously there's going to be issues due to these obvious pasts, but the question as always is can they learn to trust each other and learn to communicate...

You know that piece of chocolate that you bite into and it crumbles and melts in your mouth. It gives you a high from all that sugary goodness. That's the high I get anytime I pick up a Kelsie Rae book in the Sweet Signature series. I have really enjoyed this series and the characters are fabulous. Anthony is a sweetheart and a gentle soul who hasn't really lived until he meets Sway and is taken on the adventure of a lifetime in both life and love.
A sweet sweet romance that is a wonderful addition to the series.

Crashing into a relationship never looked so good! Ashley @ Carolina Chic’s Read

Anthony is the guy who thought he had his life all planned out until it all crashed and what he does to find his true happiness will keep you turning the pages. Sway is the crazy cat lady with a heart of gold but doe to her past doesn’t want to let anyone in. When Anthony crashes into Sway’s life will they both be able to see past their past and see what is in front of them? Kelsie makes you fall in love with all her characters and these two are no exceptions!

Anthony and Sway meet after he has made some really bad decisions. His longtime girlfriend broke up with him for another guy and now he is serving community service where he meets the happy go lucky cat lady Sway. They both are not looking for a relationship just some fun for the moment but the more time they spend together the more their hearts change. Lovely book with broken opposite people who find their other half.

I like how Sway took the Anthony as we knew him and turned him on his axis. Obviously Anthony wasn't right for Indie, but I didn't think he was a bad guy. I think his priorities were misguided. Cats aren't my favorite, but I think they made me fall a little more in love with them here. They made Sway and Anthony more playful and loving. Their chemistry made the steamy times fun to read. I loved that they were able to not only work together, but they were able to play, laugh, and enjoy life together.

Anthony’s priorities have always been about working hard, being the best and making money but he failed to realize there is more to life then that. He neglected and took for granted the other things in his life. Just when everything seems to be going wrong one of his mistakes ends up leading to a second chance.
From the beginning Anthony and Sway have this comfortable way with each other. They just click.
The two quickly become friends.
Together they help each other heal and figure out what they truly want in the process.
I adored the two and all of Sway’s family. Their story was really sweet and definitely warmed my heart.
