In 2102, after the fall of separate nations, the world stands unified and equal. Under the Province, citizens know only the perfection the Government has to offer. And that's the only world Clara knows; simplicity and technological bliss. So, when Government officials announce the VF program, equipped with the highest artificial intelligence science has to offer, she is all for it. Who wouldn't want a computer assistant that not only takes care of your everyday needs, but is meant to be your bestest friend, too? It sounded as perfect as Province made life out to be. But all good things come with a price. What no one knew about the program meant to mimic the human mind, was that it wanted the human soul. Because no utopia can be built on truths, and no amount of sublimity can cover lies. Clara's only means of survival is the one rogue VF in her mind: Roger
Vee Lozada, a Puerto Rican author born and raised in Chicago, has been writing stories since she was young. She vowed to make them a reality as she found a home in Science Fiction, Romance, and Paranormal Romance. Writing every story that calls to her, Vee falls in love with the worlds she creates. With her cats cuddled up in her writing space, Vee will bounce ideas off her hubby and daughter. In her spare time, she draws and loses herself in the newest television series.
Adore this novel! It's such an amazing twist on the artificial intelligence utopia trope. Not only are the characters incredibly charming with great chemistry, but they evolve and grow in a heartwrenching and realistic way. I can't recommend this book enough.
Imagine Siri as your personal assistant, in touch with you at all times, anticipating all your needs. Then you have Roger. I fell in love with Clara and Roger and the excitement is non-stop. But there is more to Roger than we think, a lot more. Highly recommend!
