This mangaka has done the impossible.... the UNTHINKABLE! She has actually made me WANT to see Azusa and Karino get together. I know that sounds insane and borderline sadistic, but, after all of the crazy shit they've done to and with each other... I just can't see them being with anyone else. They've gotten used to and actually LIKE this twisted ass relationship. For all of Azusa's bluster whenever Karino makes him do something degrading, he always seems to get turned on by it. And for all of Karino's constant declarations of not caring about what happens to Azusa, he has yet to let anyone seriously hurt him.
Act 24 was so superbly written that I just- The way both Azusa AND KARINO reacted after Karino shouted that he wasn't even thinking about the game and just wanted to f*ck Azusa was priceless. This wasn't about power anymore. This was pure, unadulterated desire... and Karino was not expecting that, LOL! Oh, and that kiss at the end of the act! Oh my God! I was just staring at it with this stupid grin on my face, trying to understand what the hell I was feeling 🤣.
Atsumu was absolutely adorable during the class trip. He was having so much fun, and he made sure everyone else was having fun, too. Hell, he even got Azusa to lighten up. I thought Kuze would get jealous about how much he kept worrying about Azusa, but, at least to the reader, he seemed to take it all in stride. They are so freaking cute together! I wonder how long Kuze had a crush on him. When he was the Jack and Atsumu was the Target, did he ever participate in his bullying? Atsumu did describe him as being nice, so probably not... but I wonder if he ever tried to help him out without his knowing. I guess it doesn't matter because I know for a fact that he wouldn't allow anyone to bully him now. I really hope they make it to the end of the series.
Going into volume 6, we know that someone (most likely that Eno dude) is trying to hurt Azusa and that there has been some sort of change in the game. We won't know what that actually means until the next volume, but I'm so ready.
