Valencia Ivy wasn't prepared for the rollercoaster ride she found herself unwillingly on. Discovering her husband Booker Ivy not only having sexual relations with his assistant but hiding two kids they shared was a turning point in Valencia's life. But what should have been the darkest days of her lifetime to overcome became a blessing due to meeting rapper Bryce Gibson
All Booker Ivy cared about was himself and becoming a father; something his wife Valencia couldn't help with so when Kelli, his assistant, revealed she was pregnant, he knew he couldn't end their affair.
Bryce Gibson returns to Kansas City to see his parents. The vacation becomes permanent when he not only meets and falls for the beautifully damaged Valencia but because he learns his mother has cancer.
Moving on may appear simple but when the saying, the world is small and everyone is connected, rings true for these couples, one of them learns first hand that what goes around comes around.
The Author dives right into the core of the storyline by shocking her readers with drama and as you flip the pages you can't help but to wonder, what will happen next.
The lesson to be learned from this part 1 is what goes up must come down. Booker thought he had control over his life and he had nothing to worry about until he found himself in a whirlwind of shit he could have prevented by being the man he pretended to be.
Wow. What an ending? Booker is the one who couldn't have kids along. I'm glad Valencia got with Bryce and found her true happiness and love. Booker deserved everything coming to him. Can't wait for part 2.
I enjoyed the premise of this book, although the behaviour of the characters left little to be desired. Usually when people do dirt to other's,there comes a time when they will receive the big payback!
