Love Lessons is part of a short story series dubbed The Luminous Cruise Chronicles. This series is written by a group of Black authors who found themselves inspired during an otherwise stressful situation during quarantine of 2020.
Book seven in this short story collection and this is a standout! It was so refreshing to read a sex scene that was far from perfect. We've all has an experience with a guy like Wesley and I was happy to finally see this on page and acknowledged by the characters. Brilliant.
Super short, around 50 pages, another good entry into the collection.
At time of posting this series is available on Kindle Unlimited.

She Taught Him How To Screw
This was completely hilarious. I don't think I was expecting a novella where are a heroine with teaching our hero how to screw.There was not a relationship dynamics I don't want people going in to this novella thinking that there is a relationship component.It is very sex positive. Charmaine our main character is very much so about having sex and no relationship attachments. Wesley is a jerk and he does not know how to have sex but he becomes humbled very quickly when he needs Charmaine. I like that he was willing to allow her to guide him especially when he comes off as cocky. And it clearly was a situation where there was an extreme level of trust. I can see people criticizing this novel because he learnt how to have sex in basically 1 session however it's important to remember that this is a novella. I think that this was definitely written with humor and mind and building a story around a character that had to learn to trust and really do self reflection when it came to his sexual encounters. I think that it's okay that the author doesn't really give us a clear definition of the boundaries of their relationships because they are both unapologetic about just wanting a sexual relationship. I am excited to see where this author goes and other stories that they have written because this one definitely was hot and steamy and I really just like the story overall. I can't figure out whether this is my favorite of the series but I do know that it is one of the most unique scenarios in the series.

Charmaine is a boss! Wesley needed lessons like yesterday and Charmaine was only too happy to teach him. Wesley came through with the BDE but, didn't exactly know how to use his BD. Wink! Wink! 😉😉😉 Being a black woman who has no problem speaking her mind, Charmaine had no problem telling the millionaire NFL player he was trash in bed. When Wesley's gay BFF cosigned Charmaine's statement, he had to suck in his pride and ask her to be his sexual tutor. Love Lessons was sexy and hilarious. It was a unique twist on a conventional love story and a very entertaining read. This was my second book from Honesty Price and I am absolutely loving her!

Flipped the script
I love a nice change of pace story. I thought Wes was gonna be a problem when we first meet him, but Charmaine got him together with the quickness. I like a hero who’s willing to learn and Wes was a very eager student and a fast learner, lol.

Now this is a book that I could get it. If this ain’t the reality of millions of women, I don’t know what to say. Wesley is a millionaire hot shot football player and newsflash, he can’t fuck. Period. He trash in the sack lol. For years he pulled women and not once did they tell him abojt his lack of skills. That’s until he met Charmaine and she dropped the bomb on him. I enjoyed this book. I think it resonated with me so much because I’ve been in a situation where I wasn’t sexually fulfilled yet I made it same that I was to save his feelings. So glad that Charmaine decided to speak her mind. Men need to know when they aren’t performing their best. Wesley didn’t handle the news well at first but after sitting and reflecting , he realized that he wasn’t a good as he thought and he needed help. Seeing him humble himself and ask for him was refreshing. I felt the author did a good job with this storyline, different and it included a woman who was confident in her sexual prowess. I liked that. I liked the teaching session. It was super cute. I felt it could’ve been more descriptive but I could live what what the author gave me. I did think that Wesley catching on that quick wasn’t realistic but it is a novella. Man I wish this was a full length lololol. This storyline is different and I applaud the author for brining this storyline life

Charmaine is a boss! Loved how she commanded a room, and was her authentic self, unapologetically. She spoke her mind, and did what ever she wanted to. My girl! 😃 I hollered when she shut Elvin up about that damn breath! She and Wes were attracted to each other on sight, and she knew what she wanted. After getting with him, and was disappointed, she thought about giving up. Wes, although embarrassed about his "performance" was intrigued by Charmaine, as she was the only woman brave enough to tell him. As he became student, and her teacher, they both reaped the benefits of his quick and studious efforts. Really enjoyed these two, and would have liked to see what becomes of them. Great work! 👍👍👍

Thereafter, Reece, Wesley & Charmaine’s banter throughout this novella absolutely solidified this series & my day. This trio needs to be the featured comedy entertainment for Luminous Singles Cruises. Meanwhile, no more “epileptic seizures” for Wesley. Charmaine’s master class was in session. …and practice makes perfect 👍🏾👏🏿👏🏾👏🏽‼️

Based on the title I was in for such a huge surprise which I was not ready for!
The author did a great job of setting up the chemistry and take down between this couple, but somewhere in there threw in the funniest lesson known to me. I was hollering!
Wes needed a sure enough lesson and Charm came in clutch with it. One he would never forget.
This was my first read by this author and I really enjoyed it.

Charmaine and Wes
I've never read anything like this before. It was strange to read about this grown man not knowing how please a woman. Of course, I know it's more common than we might actually know now, but it was still odd. Charmaine knew what she wanted and she went for it. I respect that. And Wes had to humble himself and sought help. I respect it. But book 6 wasn't really doing it for me. On to the last one.

So good!
I think this may be my favorite couple yet on the cruise just for the simple fact that things didn't work out at the beginning. I loved the fact that Wes had no stroke game and had to have a lesson in love making. I could really see him and Charmaine's relationship blossoming into something permanent. I would love more from them. Definitely wrapping up the series. So far so good

I read this out of order so that might have been the problem, but I don't really think so. I felt the story lacked a plot. It was just about a guy who didn't know how to screw and she teaches him. He catches on super fast and then Boom books done.

Great read
Great read, I enjoyed the characters and storyline. Wesley and Charmaine are mutually attracted to each other. However, sexually they’re not compatible due to Wesley’s lack of knowledge on how to pleasure a woman. Funny and interesting journey as he gets Charmaine to teach him.

August 30, 2020Too short for me to rate but it was nice. I wish the "teaching" was more extensive, I've read several books in which the female MC is being taught and there are more "instructions". This was a step in the right direction because I wish we had more female MC as "bedroom teachers" who go into explicit details!

Wesley walked around like he was King Ding a ling, but unfortunately someone lied to him. Charmaine decided that she was going to teach him a few things… for her pleasure.

Caught off guard!
This story surprised me in that it wasn't the norm or what you would usually expect from a short story with a gorgeous male lead and plenty of BDE! It was a very entertaining read that had me laughing and cheering in the end! Bravo Honesty Price!

I was not ready for this book! This was a fresh twist on a love story for this series. All I can say is you will laugh out loud and your mouth will drop open in disbelief, in a good way, while reading this book. I’m loving this series and can’t wait for the final installment.

Wesley was knocked all the way down to earth by Charmaine telling him that his skills was straight garbage. Wesley didn't want to take that L do he went back to the source to become the student literally. He went from being Charm's student 101 to having a PHD in 👅👅🍆🍆

This was definitely a different type of connection and I loved it from start to finish. The scene with Elvin and the first set scene were hilarious. Job well done.

My first book by this author. I enjoyed it and will look at her other works. Wes and Charm gave a curve ball that I was not ready for but that goes to show you need people around you that will tell you the truth.

Great Read
Wesley and Charmaine didn't start off very well, but he bit the bullet and apologized. He realized that she was only being honest with him. Once Wesley apologized and asked Charmaine for help, things were great for them. Very interesting story.

While I've enjoyed this series thoroughly, I really, really enjoyed this book. No one talks about the bad sex that was able to be turned into the best ever. Sometimes, just a little tutelage and patience goes a loooong way.

Charm shut Wes down. I'm glad he got his pride together and was willing to do the heavy lifting. Why is it difficult to communicate what is needed. I was glad that his ego wasn't too fragile. That Reece was something else. I laughed throughout the whole book. I was happy Elvin was consistent through all of the stories with his taco meat chest hair and breath that would singe nose hair 🤣
