A standalone novel in the Harbour Point SEAL Series.

Tennyson
In a family filled with picturesque butterflies, I’m a moth. Camouflaged. The invisible, nerdy scientist who would rather study water and save the planet than don a dress and mingle in southern society. Unfortunately, having my nose in a book and eating goals for breakfast doesn’t bode well for a social life or my cobweb covered dating sector.

Then I met Grange. He’s a tormenter—an epic bully, but he’s promised to help me in my lackluster areas. He’s been ordered to fulfill service hours at my Aquatic Lab in Cape Cod, if I allow it.

He is bad, the worst. I’m talking wearing prison garb when I met him kind of awful. We all have our demons, but Corrick Granger’s seep into everything and everyone around him. Sure, I’d love his expertise on how to land a guy, but I’m not sure any man is worth dealing with an outcast Navy SEAL who has more issues than a magazine subscription.

Grange
One hazy mistake was all it took to ruin my life. Well, one mistake coupled with a chain of bad decisions, and a side of my hot temper. The court doled out an easy community service sentence. Never anything too harsh for a “hero.” I’ll be back at the Teams in six months, easy. I need to keep my cool, put my head down, and follow the rules.

A fiery redhead with something to prove is all that stands between me and my freedom. Tennyson is a maddening combination of know-it-all and knows-nothing. The type of woman who would cut off her own nose to spite her face, and yet when my one mistake snowballs into a life altering, soul-damning error, she’s undeniably there for me.

Even though I don’t deserve it.

Even though I’ve kept secrets.

And despite the fact I have become the monster she knew I would be.

Rachel Robinson is fairly new to me, I have read one of her books and I loved it, but as it happens, my TBR list kept growing and so did my blog arc's so trying to find time to read another book has been hard. So when I saw this beauty come up, I knew I had to jump at it and read it and as expected, I absolutely loved it.

Corrick Granger and Scarlet Tennyson couldn't be more different if they tried.

Corrick was a tough one, at first he wasn't my favorite. I didn't connect with him right away but as the story progressed. I fell helpless to him, his dirty mouth and his inability to use the filter that goes from his brain to his mouth. As the plot thickened, I saw different sides to him, and I am smitten when it comes to a hero that starts off as one you don't really think you'll like but redeems themselves throughout the book and the author as that skill down so well. He is struggling, which in reality he only has himself to blame but he is trying to grow from that and do the best he can with his community service and get himself back on the Navy SEAL base. The base is his life, it's been his life and the men he stands beside are important to him and he wants that back.

Tennyson was adorable in her own quirky way. She is happily living her life in her own little world at microbiology lab. But she knows she needs to get out more, she needs to socialize and find friends. Although she could live a life without it, her family thinks differently, so to prove them wrong and show them that she can function around other people. Her sister is former pageant queen sister so to prove that she can do things for her and not live behind her sisters' shadow.

An unlikely chance meeting brings these two together and when they meet they come up with an agreement is made and they actually become close friends, which kind of shocked me, because like I have said, these two couldn't be more different.

When a serial killer is on the loose and some horrific events playout, are these two and the bond they have actually formed be strong enough to make it through it all? Or will the bond and connection that has grown fall in pieces?

This book was different, and I love different. I'm so glad I took the time to read another one of the author's books. I will be reading more now and sooner rather than later.

Just like I remembered, her style of writing is flawless and she had me hanging off every word. I couldn't get enough

Never Always was such an amazing read! It is my first Rachel Robinson book but certainly not the last.
Seriously I didn’t find anything wrong at all with it. The characters are really well developed I’m so in love with Granger and his chemistry with Tennyson is really hot.
The story is really well written and took me by surprise a few times. It flows very nicely and it is a real page turner.
I felt so many emotions reading it. I laughed I cried and I felt so much love.
A must read for all the contemporary romance lovers

Tennyson is perfectly happy in her own little bubble. She can easily loose herself for hours in her microbiology lab work. However she is aware that she should be making more of an effort to find friends and ‘get out there’ ....more to appease her family and prove that she can function perfectly well on her own without her former pageant queen sister over-shadowing her at every opportunity.
Grange is having a hard time.... most of it from his own doing but he is trying his best to get his community service hours done and to get himself back with his brothers at the Navy SEAL base. His whole life is centred around his teammates and his role as a protector.
A mutual arrangement and a surprising friendship with respect builds between them both but with a serial killer on the loose and some truly awful events can these two be strong enough for each other to make it through?
This book starts slowly and there is a lot of inner rambling from Tennyson which isn’t my favourite. As the story unfolds, however, the great dialogue and banter starts, which then draws you in. Helping you to really start to like and get to know the two main characters. Grange is a sweetheart and Tennyson has a strong determination which I admired. The supporting friends and family added a vital layer of interest and really helped to move the story along.
If you read other reviews that said they could not finish then please persevere and get into the book as the second half is so worth the read. What started as a 3.5 stars for me quickly propelled itself to a 5 ⭐️ with tissues required😊☺️.
I received an arc from the author and I am choosing to leave a review

I was really looking forward to this book since I typically love nerdy heroines. Unfortunately, the hero in this book is so unlikeable I had to DNF at 30%. I love a bad boy, and I even love the occasional a**hole when written in such a way that the reader is able to see at least 1, maybe 2 redeeming and endearing qualities that make you hold out until the end to witness the fabulous character development. I couldn't hold out. There was nothing endearing about this hero. In fact, the meet cute was completely ruined by (in my opinion) totally unforgiveable actions by the hero. There was no coming back from the meet cute but I gave it 30%. I almost wish the author had not written the meet cute the way that she did because there was going to be absolutely nothing that the hero could do in terms of change and personal growth that could forgive his (lack of) action when they first met. There is no level of a**holery or troubled pasts that forgives lack of human decency. He's also a cheater. NOPE.

The quality of the writing isn't bad, which is why I offered one star.

This was my absolute favorite of the Harbour Point SEALs by a good stretch, and that says something, because I absolutely loved Clover & Mercer.
Anyways.
Corrick Granger is an inappropriate man, with a dirty mind, and a dirtier mouth. He’s in the business of shocking Tennyson from the moment they meet.
Chance sets them on a shared path, choice keeps them together, and they work on overcoming obstacles set in their wake.
I loved the side characters. Rexy & Maeve, Sue-Ellen, and so many more.
The love was abundant, coming from all sides.
I cried. So hard. I won’t even lie. The Thanksgiving. The other. I bawled like a baby.
But I smiled. I laughed. I held onto the edge of my seat trying to figure out what was coming next.
Recommendation: Robinson knocked this out of the park. You can fall in love with Grange, but he is most definitely mine. 😉

Corrick Granger and Scarlett Tennyson meet by chance. Grange is from the military and to get back to his men he has to spend time doing some community service. Tennyson is happy being in her Microlab but she knows she needs friends and maybe to try dating. These two are from totally different lives but the sparks fly between them in this slow burn naughty romance. Grange has a dirty mouth and no filter to the brain. Tennyson is determined in her mission to improve herself. A different interesting read that I really liked and enjoyed to the end.

Tragically Beautiful. Wow!

No cliffhanger
Standalone
Told from both POVs (only a few chapters from the male)
Love/hate romance

This book hooked me very early and never let go. The banter between the two main characters was great. How he got under her skin and vice versa had me laughing.

There are so many twists and turns to this storyline. I don’t want to give anything away but there are definitely some very tragic moments that will have you gasping and getting emotional. There are also unexpected things that you never really saw coming.

Tennyson is a book worm. Corrick is a Navy Seal. Those two things don’t seem like they would go together but fate can never be stopped.

The problem is, Corrick believes everyone he loves ends up leaving him so he refuses to show/admit his true feelings about Tennyson.

He holds her at arms length until his jealousy takes over. Then he is all in until tragedy strikes again.

It’s hard not to give things away so I will end with this. If you want an emotional read with the perfect mix of drama, chemistry and love this is the book for you. I absolutely loved it!

Great second half.

Never Always is the first book I've read by this author in a couple of years. I was drawn to it by the enemies to lovers tagline, and the description of Tennyson as being an " invisible, nerdy scientist ".

Grange comes across as a major jerk to start with, but I warmed up to his character across the story. He really isn't that nice to socially awkward Tennyson initially, but it isn't long before they are bantering back and forth. Tennyson slowly becomes more confident in his presence, she really likes him, attitude and all.

The majority of this story is from Tennyson's perspective, although it is dual POV more towards the end. I really enjoyed the second half of Never Always, there was the suspense aspect that was present throughout the story, but it really ramped up in the second half. And the drama! Much more than what I was expecting.

Wow I loved this one. I'm still thinking about the one heartbreaking event in the book and I really hate that part. I mean it was just so sad and I don't know how Grange (or anyone) moves on from that. I loved Tennyson & Grange together. They may have gotten together a little fast when really they were so different and he was so bitter but it didnt take away from the story. I could even of done without the serial killer part cause I dont think that added too much but I just loved this two together. The epilogue was touching too and the shirtttt. This one just really got me. I'm wondering who we will get next. I feel for one person so much and I wonder if we will get her story.

Another awesome story

Aaaaaand she does it again. Another great story from pretty much the only author who can write about these guys as nuanced, interesting humans rather than cartoon characters. In fact, there is nothing cookie-cutter or hackneyed about any of the characters, and the plot is blessedly fresh. While Crazy Good is still near the top of my “Most Unforgettable” list, all of the subsequent books have been memorable also. I hope this well never runs dry.

ARC provided by author in exchange for an honest review.

Corrick Granger (Grange) is not a nice human when we first meet him. He's arrogant, cocky and rude to our heroine Scarlet Tennyson Kline (Tennyson). Tennyson is quiet, smart and a little socially awkward. She's from a typical southern family but is kind of the odd duck because her sister is the one that is the quintessential beauty pageant queen. Tennyson works as a researcher in a marine lab in town. Grange and Tennyson's first meeting is everything you think it would be - alpha-asshole meets socially awkward nerd but Tennyson brushes it off and moves forward only to come face to face with Grange again a few days later.

Grange has recently been through the ringer and while we don't initially know what happened to him to make him the way he is, we find out that he's really just trying to protect himself and get back to doing what he loves most which is being part of the SEAL Teams. What he didn't count on was meeting Tennyson and helping her become more socially adept.

While initially Tennyson is attracted to a co-w0rker this co-worker doesn't really prove to be much competition for Grange when Grange decides he likes Tennyson. What happens from there is a heartwarming story of two people falling in love and then having the rug ripped out from under them in the most tragic way possible.

Rachel Robinson does angst so incredibly well. From the high of these two finding their way together to the low when it falls apart is devastating. These two people are a perfect case of opposites attracting and at the end of the day were an amazing couple. This book is extremely well written. I always know when the author has accomplished their goal of writing a "complete" character when I find myself wanting to become friends with them. When I find myself smiling while reading and thinking about how to help them with their current circumstances, like a real friend would give another friend advice. In the beginning I wanted to tell Tennyson to run but slowly I came around and really liked Grange and understood where he was coming from. He was great for Tennyson and to Tennyson.

If you haven't read any of Rachel's books, this is a great one to start with. Her characters are always very well written and she doesn't always follow the romance formula that most authors do. I always find myself enjoying her books and then going back to re-read them later. Never Always will not disappoint!

Never always is a first for me by Author Rachel Robinson, and it truly was such a sweet surprise!
The characters that she created were so awesome to read. I loved just how they were complete opposites, but, their differing personalities and interests complimented their relationship.
Two very different people, for two very different worlds, that you could honestly tell that they were meant for each other. Definitely soulmates. &There interactions were amazing to read. Lots of laughter and steam, along with twists and turns that you would never suspect!

Tennyson is scientist. She works in a vet/animal rehabilitation lab, and she absolutely loves her job, and would rather work every day, than ever have to have a day off.
One Sunday, when she is forced to take the day off, she decides to sit in the park area near her job, while reading an old science textbook. In the midst of her reading and relaxing, she comes face to face with an incredibly rude, yet gorgeous man. Their interaction was short, but heated, and when trying to leave, she trips, falls and face plants right in front of this awful man.
The next day when Tennyson is at work, she receives a request for a janitor position to be used to work off community service hours. She agrees, knowing they needed the help. &Wouldn't you know, the jerk from the day prior is standing right in front of her, hoping to be able to work off his community service hours for court.
At first she is hesitant to allow him to work there, but ultimately she chooses to allow him to get his hours while working for her.
Grange is a brash and crude individual who has somewhat recently been arrested for fighting with his ex's new boyfriend. He isn't Tennyson's type in the slightest, but, there is just something about him they she cannot get past.
Following the beginning of their friendship, all the craziness begins.

There are so many hilarious, swoony, frustrating, and steamy parts in this story. They all come together to creative the perfect blend for a great romance read, and Never Always did NOT disappoint! I will be looking out for more books by Rachel Robinson in the future, because it seems she is a pretty talented author, and I definitely think that I will enjoy more of her stories!

If you are looking for a great read, I HIGHLY recommend Tennyson & Grange's story, Never Ever!

Never Always is a really sweet read from Rachel Robinson with the focus on the main characters of Tennyson who is the quintessential geek of her domain. She gets flustered when it comes to attracting the opposite sex but has a bit of snarkiness to her which is quite refreshing. Oh, she is also super clumsy. She comes up against Navy SEAL, Grange who through his hot temper is having to do some community service at the pace that Tennyson works. But all is not smooth sailing and Grange seems to be able to get Tennyson’s hackles up no matter what she does. He can be pretty brutal in how he acts and thinks.

The fact that there is a sub-story to grange makes him more likable and the twist in the story is heart-breaking and you’re totally left rooting for the two characters to get back onto the same line as they were previously. They are both strong in their own way and this shines through in how they interact with each other as well as other family and friends. There is just something about all of the characters in this book that pulls at your heartstrings and Grange is genuinely a nice guy which definitely comes through the more you read of this book.

If you like easy-read romances with a twist of humour and steaminess, then this is the one for you!

ARC received for a fair and honest review.

All Grange ever wanted was to be a Navy SEAL so when questionable choices find him separated from his team his downward spiral continues. He now finds himself sentenced to community service working for Tennyson who he met previously once before and that meeting was an epic fail.

Tennyson is very different from the rest of her family and is more comfortable in her lab doing her research than socializing with other people. When she finds out that someone will be working their community services hours at the lab she thought it was a great idea until she realized he was the rude jerk who witnessed one of her most embarrassing moments.

As they work together they realize that there is much more to each other than the first impression they experienced and the more time they spend together the closer they become but when it implodes will they be able to pick up the pieces?

Hot chemistry, suspense and so much emotion as two opposites realize that they are a perfect match in the only way that matters.

Oh wow, where do I begin.

Corrick Granger, a man that has a dirty mouth and speaks without a filter to save his life. In the beginning of the story I didn’t think I would fall for him like I did but this author does something to a man that gives him the redeeming qualities and this was top on the list.

Tennyson is different from all the girls back home, she knew she was going places because she uses her brain instead of her beauty. Because of this, she never thought of herself as the beauty that Granger sees.

While spending time together, they both find an attraction that goes beyond the physical, they understand each other in a way no one does. Don’t get me wrong, the heat and love that Grange and Tennyson shares are off the charts and in the end, you fall hard for this foul mouth Navy Seal.

Advance copy for an honest review.

This book will give you all the feels- happiness, humor, love, danger, lust, and devastation. I would not classify this as a light-hearted read, but boy was it worth it! Rachel Robinson delivered something special with Never Always. There was a lot going on in the book when you take a step back and play out all of the situations, but they meshed well together and were needed for all the pieces of the puzzle to fit.

I don't want to go into details because a spoiler might slip out, but I loved this book. If you like military men romances with a "She's All That" theme and danger lurking, Never Always is a book that you really need to read. I give it a HUGE 5 outta 5 stars and love that I had the chance to read this book, it truly is something special.

PS: Thank you to Rachel Robinson and Candi Kane PR for allowing me an advanced of the book to read and review honestly.

This is not your typical SEAL story. It is full of sarcasm and crass language, two things I enjoy and have a sense of humor about. Our heroine is an intellectual who has no idea how to handle a man such as Grange. Throughout the story there are highs, and lows, but the one thing that is constant is the underlying intensity. There is intensity in every single emotion, love, lust, sadness, anger, joy, no matter what it is, you can feel so strongly how deep it goes. I will say my heart pounded and broke, before repairing itself in the end. If you want a story that is unlike others out there and will send you on a roller coaster ride of feelings, this is what you want to pick up!

Tennyson Is the complete opposite of everything her mother expects. Her sister Sue-Ellen is the social butterfly that everyone expects. One day while trying to relax she meets a man who is mowing the grass but neither make a good first impression. She leaves and assumes she’ll never see him again. When she gets an intern request, she signed it without looking at any of details about the intern. When the intern walks in, they’re both shocked, it’s Grange, the man who was mowing the grass. Can they get along so Grange can get his hours done? There’s definitely tension between Tennyson and Grange but will either act on it?

This is the first book that I have read by this author and it certainly isnt going to be my last.
Rachel Robinson is a new author to me.
Never always was a sweet and sexy book.
Tennyson is in her own little world. She know she needs to make new friends she is also a scientist.
Grange is a navy seal and as to do some community services. Hes a total moron in the being to tennyson. I loved the banter they had and the friendship they formed then blessed in to more. They had a lot of obstacles to overcome.
Loved everything about this book. Cant wait to read more from rachel.
Highly recommend this book.

NEVER ALWAYS by RACHEL ROBINSON is the story of Corrick Granger and Scarlet Tennyson Kline.
Granger and Tennyson are so very different. Granger is the harsh Navy Seal/ Special Opc person that is forced to do community service to return to his job. Tennyson is the young, clumsy, bookish girl who loves reading and being in her microbiology lab. There first encounter isn't the best and Granger shows he butt-hole attitude. Then their next meeting is Granger doing community service at her lab. One thing they do have in common is their attraction to each other that they can't seem to get a hold on. Loved this book...couldn't put it down.

Oh my!
Well, let’s start off by talking about how big of a you know what Granger was in the beginning! I mean seriously?!?! I didn’t think he had any redeeming qualities. None. And then we get to know him. He’s a big ole softie underneath.
I didn’t get the no kissing thing at first either. Seemed odd. Especially for a man who was engaged.
Tennyson is a nerd. A gorgeous one who has no self confidence: she defines herself only by her brain. I’m glad she came from a loving family.

These two meet and its... something...
I really, really, really enjoyed this one and I highly recommend it!

This was a great read from beginning to end. Tennyson is a sassy, sweet, science nerd and when she crosses paths with the standoffish, hot, Navy Seal Corrick Grange the chemistry leaps off the page and grabs you. I loved them together. When a tragedy leads to Grange pushing Tennyson away, her heartbreak is devastating, but it is the twist at the end that had me on the edge of my seat, not being able to turn the pages fast enough. This story had it all and a happily ever after that will leave you wanting more.

Rachel Robinson is a new-to-me author and I really enjoyed her writing style. Corrick "Grange" Granger and Scarlet Tennyson "Fire" Kline are total opposites, but make the perfect pair. The whole story was a really pleasurable read. The secondary characters were a great addition, too.

Never Always by Rachel Robinson is a MUST read and will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ELITE!!!

Grange and Tennyson's story is jam packed with sizzle and steam, suspense, and action. I will admit a lot of the things that came out of Grange's mouth were slap his face worthy, but he does redeem himself in the way he falls so hard for Tennyson. There was one scene that was absolutely heartbreaking, but Grange gets through it with Tennyson's help and their bond strengthens. There were a lot of wonderful characters and great moments that made this a story I really enjoyed.

This. Book. Was. Amazing!!!!

Grange and Tennyson were an awesome couple! I loved them together! They had the best chemistry and their banter was just so flawless.

However, I really hated a certain scene!! I mean, honestly, was that really necessary????? Lol

Awesome read and I can't wait for the next one!

If you're looking for a non committal, dry eyed story PUT THIS ONE DOWN. Robinson’s ability to pull you from drowning despair and grief to sky high love and joy is unreal. Her attention to detail will grip you from the first scene to the very last page.

Yes, it’s that dramatic. No, you won’t sleep after you’ve read it. Yes, it’s one of her best yet ❤️
