Brenda Margriet writes savvy, slow burn, contemporary romances with ordinarily amazing characters. In her own ordinarily amazing life, she had a successful career in radio and television production before deciding to pilfer from her retirement plan to support her writing compulsion.

Readers have called her stories “poignant,” “explicit and steamy,” “interesting, intriguing and entertaining,” and “unlike any romance you’ve read before” (she assumes the latter was meant in a good way).

A quick note to those reading Brenda's reviews on Good Reads. Her star rankings might seem on the low side. It's not because she's mean, just picky.

CROSSROADS CORNER (Bendixon Sisters Book 3) by Brenda Margriet is the third book of the contemporary romance trilogy featuring the Bendixon sisters of Prince George and the men with whom they find their HEAs. I read the first two books in the series and was anxiously waiting for Camryn’s story. I was not disappointed. This romance can be read as a standalone, but the plotline overall arc of saving Bendixon and Sons starts in book one and is resolved in this third book.

Camryn Bendixon returns home to Prince George with no job, no self-esteem and under police suspicion. Her embezzling ex-boyfriend besides being the reason she had to leave her job, has run up all their credit cards, not paid rent on their expensive condo and refuses to clear her with the police of any knowledge of his crimes.

Camryn is determined to succeed at bring Bendixon and Sons back from the brink of closing. She wants to prove to her family she can help save the company, while getting back her own financial stability and self-esteem in the process.

Will Danson manages the Prince George division of the Kohlenburg Group. They are Bendixon and Sons major competitor and because of their size, they are able to win the majority of new construction jobs. Over the last year, since their move from Vancouver, Will and his young daughter have settled into Prince George and enjoy the city.

Camryn and Will meet as they are competing for a new, lucrative contract. Will is instantly attracted to the beautiful and smart Camryn Bendixon, but Camryn is not letting another good-looking man take advantage of her, no matter how nice he may seem. Can Camryn and Will keep their personal lives and hearts separate from their competitive business lives?

Camryn and Will are wonderful together, but it was definitely a bumpy road getting there. I loved how Ms. Margriet continually had the characters at a breaking point both personally and/or professionally and yet was able to find a compromise that was beneficial to both in the end. Will’s daughter was written realistically with empathy, not sympathy. Also, the ex-partner, Will’s daughter’s mother added a messy realism to the story which many deal with themselves in today’s society. The dialogue was realistic, the plot flowed smoothly right up to the climax and I finished the entire book in one sitting. As in the other books in this series, the sex scenes are explicit and steamy. I also enjoyed catching up with the other sisters, family and friends from the first two books.

I highly recommend this romance!

I can also recommend the whole trilogy for three entertaining and heartfelt contemporary romance reads.

There is something very easy and comfortable about Brenda Margriet’s writing, so was excited to read more by her. I loved the first two books in this series, so knew this one was going to be just as good, but it surpassed my expectations!

Camryn, the oldest Bendixon sister, always appeared to have her future in control and mapped out...a great job and apartment in Vancouver with a great boyfriend who she’d someday marry. But when said boyfriend is an embezzler, fraud and downright scum, she has to head home to try to put back the pieces of her life.

As she starts over working for the family construction company, the new beginning she hopes for is complicated by a fast growing attraction between her and Will, who is the head of their biggest competitor. It doesn’t take long to discover that love and business don’t mix. Camryn’s life seems to be mired in one complication after another and I was definitely rooting for her to get a happily ever after, especially with a certain smoking hot single dad!

I was eager to read the third and final book in the Bendixon Sisters series. I had a feeling this one would be the hottest of the three and I wasn’t wrong!

I was thrilled to dive into Crossroads Corner, book 3 of the Bendixon sisters series. I have read the previous 2 books so I'm invested in the characters.

This is Camryn's story, she is the sister that has been away working in the city and living the high life - well that's how it looked.

Camryn is home in her parents home with her tail between her legs. Life has took a definite downward turn for her. She is one strong lady and finds strength to rebuild her life, even if in her home town working for the family business. She has her sisters there to support her, if she lets them in on whats happened!

Will, his a patient and caring man, raising his daughter and working for a building company. Will is a busy man but he needs something else in his life, he then meets Camryn at a job his looking to tender on.

Camryn and Will just fitted together perfectly, yes their are bumps and scrapes along the way just like in real life relationships.

This book/series is like a warm blanket, once your in you don't want get out.

I recommend this series to anyone that like to snuggle on their sofa and get lost in good book.

I truly enjoyed this book as Camryn and Will fight their attraction and try to outbid each other for construction work. Cameron is recovering from a very difficult relationship that left her in debt and under suspicion. Will is raising a beautiful daughter who is blind. A delightful story.

The final installment and the final Bendixon sister had two of the tropes that endears me the most - enemies to lovers/single parent. Camryn had her perfect life ripped from her hands, forcing her to return home with nothing but her tattered dreams and a broken heart as well as the loss of her confidence. She returns to her hometown and her childhood home. She has decided to help salvage her family business along with her career. She is faced with might prove to be an insurmountable task of digging the business out of a financial hole. When competing for what would be a lucrative contract, Camryn comes face to face with Will from the opposing company in the fight for local construction contracts. What do you do when you are beyond attracted to your biggest competition? Career enemies but completely compatible and totally attracted in their private life, how might they be able to swing both without hurting each other and their families. It was a beautiful story that kept me routing for a solution for these two "star crossed" lovers. I truly needed them to have it all.
