(H and OW/1):
Sitting behind my desk, without even looking at them, I can feel the smallest amount of unease Jolie has towards her. I imagine it’s from knowing Ingrid and I have slept together. Good. Maybe she won’t take her position for granted again.
.................
(H and OW/2):
Teddy escorts us back to the booth but my steps are halted when I see the fucking blonde from the bathroom standing by Shane. No. Not standing, the bitch is leaning into him.
Shane sees us coming and gets up, pushing blondie back a step to make room for me to slide in, but before I do, she turns and says,
“Ahh, Jolie.”
“That would be Mrs. Toups to you.”
She gives me a curt smile and says, “I was just keeping your husband occupied while you were away.”
Not Shane, but Teddy surprises me by coming between us, asking her to leave. She leans in kissing his cheek and says,
“It’s been a while. I’ve missed you.”
“Leave, Lisa,” He growls out.
She listens and slowly strolls off. Teddy gets back into the booth followed by Ashlyn while Shane simply looks at me and tugs at his belt, pulling his pants up. I pass him to get in but ask,
“Did that make you happy?”

(H and OW/3):
“You’re right, Ashlyn. It’s not fucking fair.”
He gets up from the booth and walks across to Ashlyn. My mouth drops, but I’m too stunned to make a sound. By the sight of Teddy’s fist laying on the table, so is he.
Shane stands Ashlyn up, leans in and kisses her softly. “Close your eyes, baby.”
Shane starts off kissing her soft and slow, putting on a real show with no regard to either of us sitting here. His arm comes around the back of her waist, lifting her off her heels, pulling her flush against his body. Ashlyn grasps his arms needing support as I watch him swirling his tongue into her open mouth. Just as I’m trying to close my eyeshis hand slips down, grabbing and squeezing a handful of her ass.
Even though it’s bothering the hell out of me, I can’t seem to remove my eyes from them. It keeps getting worse the longer it lasts, which is longer than needed.
Shane finally ends the kiss and slowly tears her away unwillingly from his body, setting her back on her feet. She’s still in a daze when Shane asks her loud enough for all of us to hear,
“Did you feel desired? Did you feel how badly I wanted more?”
Like a love drunk puppy with her neck still craned back, only one word comes out of her mouth, “Yeah.” He has her under his spell.
Teddy knows it too and when Shane adjusts his erection in front of him, all hell breaks loose. Teddy pushes Ashlyn to the side and flies off hitting Shane so hard he has him stumbling back."

(H and his talking openly in front of the h about his sexual prowess):
Shrugging, I say, “I know Shane’s slept with her and knowing that expression on Teddy’s face right now, I’m sure he has, too. I would wager money though, that they both slept with her, together.”
Shane leans against the back of the seat and confirms my theory, “Together, many times."
Shane ignores Teddy and says, “It was no big deal. Neither of us wanted to touch. We stuck strictly to the girls.”
“Girls. See, I told you, Ashlyn. Plural.”
“Like how does it work? Do you two?”
“NO!” they both yell.
Not fazed in the least by their outburst, Ashlyn continues like she doesn’t believe them, “Well, I would imagine that at some point your dicks must have touched.”
They both scrunch up their faces in agony at her questions. Me on the other hand, I’m enjoying the hell out of it. I nudge her shoulder, “Especially with double penetration.”
“That’s true,” Ashlyn says, all excited to learn more.
Finally, Shane says, “It’s happened a time or two, but it just happens.."
...............
(H and OW/2 again):
Fifteen minutes or so go by and Shane still hasn’t returned. Deciding to find him, I get up, squeezing through the crowd to make my way to the bar. I’m held hostage behind a group of people laughing and talking as I try to weave through them. As soon as I get a shoulder past them the bar comes into view and so does Shane.
He’s sitting on a barstool having a drink and that fucking blonde Lisa, is standing between his open legs, rubbing his arm like she’s comforting him.
.............
I should’ve known Lisa would follow me. She came in calm, with a comforting voice, telling me how she saw my pain. Offering an ear to talk about my struggles. Rehashing how she knows my story with Jolie and was willing to be the person I can lean on for support. My eyes closed, wanting desperately to have just one person to confide in, someone who was truly on my side. I even found myself leaning into her hand when she laid it on my face.
Thank God Jolie didn’t see that part. She’d be beyond pissed if she knew for one second, I wanted to open up about my broken heart and spill my guts to the one person who doesn’t deserve it.

(H and O/W 4):
....She gasps but I continue giving her my wrath, “Is it because you wanted me in your bed? I would have gladly taken you. All you had to do was say the word. Who are we fucking kidding? I still might one day.”
Her eyes snap to mine, staring me down with underlying threats. Threats I know she can carry out. “You’re pissed, aren’t you? We both know you’ll find your way into my bed one day if you really want to. But I also know where your heart lies. Does Gabriel know what you’ve done? I bet he doesn’t.” Seeing a flicker of something in her eyes, it dawns on me. “Ahh, I see. It’s Gabriel. Don’t tell me you’re insecure? That Jolie is the one in my bed and she might also be in his one day?”
“Pure venom, Fallon. That’s what I see in your eyes. You’re so close to taking Catherine’s place. It’s why I will remain on your side. But you still have so much to learn. I want to know why?!”
.................
“Our deal still stands, Shane. There will be no repercussions.” He pauses, then says, “I’m quite aware that Fallon has done something.”
"This is his way of trying to get me to tell him. He might know she’s done something but not what. With our deal still standing, I change the subject, letting him know I won’t be betraying Fallon."

Now, you see, why don't I believe AT ALL in this HEA? 🤷♀️

Trash. This is meant to be dark but it’s just tacky and predictable, Shane is an ass, I do not care about him being alpha, or damaged, or the mistakes Jolie apparently made. Shane is scum, I do not believe he loved Jolie, and I am sure he will cheat in the future. He is trash.

WOW! I really really loved this book ❤❤❤
This is exactly how a perfect Mafia romance should be. Drama, power struggles, murders, intrigues and even more drama and all packed with a perfect writing style.
An overload of emotions and feelings mixed with a portion of fear. Amazing 😍
And the erotic scenes, holly sh*t Monique!!! 🔥🔥🔥
I thought I had problems with concentration and reading but apparently with my unicorn authors it's working more than well. I read it in one go and couldn't put it down. This 4th part of the series and a second book about Shane and Jolie relationship was action packed and so damn gripping that I completely lost track of time.
Did I agree with how Shane treated Jolie? No, absolutely no. But I can understand his struggle. Betrayal of trust is just not easy to forget and forgive. Especially not for one of the most powerful people in the mafia world. Did I agree
with the choices Julie made in the past? Yes and no. As a mother I can understand her motivations and decisions, but if I would be the father, I'll be furious.
The mafia world with all the shamings and power fights is a really fascinating world.
Maybe because the alpha men, that are brutal and ruthless in the business world are
powerless when it comes to their badass wives 🤭
Yes, I know it's just a fantasy world and not the real thing 🙄 but let me live in the fantasy a little bit 🤷🏻♀️ I love these books that are so consuming that I can forget what's happening around me and live in the story.
Did I make you interested? Good because it's a really good book. I more than enjoyed every second of it.
This is a part of a series. You've to read from the beginning to understand the "family" dynamics of the whole story. I really recommend this series to all the dark mafia romance lovers. It's one of the best I've ever read.

Sometimes an author takes a character’s revenge and hate a tad too far making the reader dislike the character even when he turns it around. This happened to me and Shane’s character just left a bitter taste in my mouth. The book does show how revenge is not the answer and forgiveness should, but I myself just couldn’t get over Shane’s need to punish Jolie. That’s not love and to say it is just doesn’t work for me. I also didn’t get into the dominant sex stuff, such a departure from the author’s other male leads. It again left a bitter feeling to me. I know she was making him different, but it felt forced and at times I just skipped over it. It made Jolie weak to me all the hate he dished out she would just drop her pants and get it on with him at a moments notice.
Jolie finally stepped up, but I just wanted her to take everything and leave him. I got to the point I didn’t want them together at all. I think it would have been a better story if she did.
The writing was great and I read till I was done, but I just couldn’t like Shane, thus I couldn’t love the book completely. I will read the next.

Resolution is the 3rd and final book of Shane and Jolie's story. Finally this couple, and when I say couple I mean Shane, gets their head out of their butts.
It's no secret I've been team Jolie from the very beginning.
Gabriel and Fallon are still on my shit list. With Jolie and Shane's story their true colors shined through and Gabriel is reminding me more and more of his father. Minus the beatings. Catherine just wouldn't stand for that.
In all honesty I can see where each, Shane and Jolie, were coming from. So I'm just so glad they have worked everything out.
I highly recommend this series.
Even tough these series are stand alone. The Art Of and the Youngblood series. I feel you would benefit and have more of an understanding of everything if you read them in order from the beginning.
I read an advanced copy of this book.

3.5 stars but since I can do half stars I’ve rounded up.
If you have not read the previous books then do not start with this one as you will be slightly confused with who, what and why’s.
This is also an adult book with many many steamy scenes. And this is when my rating comes into play. While I love a scene that can leave me hot and bothered I felt it was a pinch over done. It seemed as though it filled the pages of this beauty. But the writing was spot on. The issue was that at times it felt hard to remember the plot behind the whole book. I also became a tad bored with the back and forth between and leads.
Resolution does not disappoint on the drama or action. It’s well written and easily shifts from chapter to chapter.
If your looking for a steamed filled book the Shane and Jolie will not disappoint you in the least bit.

In this MUCH anticipated follow up to Restitution, this author had ALOT of loose ends to tie up, and I'm here to tell you, SHE DELIVERED and then some! AH-MAY-ZING! Everything comes to a head in this book, not just for Shane and Jolie, but others too, and you're left with a sigh of satisfaction and a smile. All the cards are on the table and this set up is about to have an effect on everyone involved when all is said and done. I have to say, Jolie is not my favorite heroine, she's made some big time mistakes but I warmed up to her alot more in this book as I began to see her motivations behind some of her less than advisable actions. We also get to see how every action has consequences in a BIG way. Not just for Jolie anymore, she's never had a family before so its hard for her to consider how what she does impacts a big group of people who have feelings too. In the end there are lessons for everyone, they just need to get out of their own way to see them. LOVED IT and hope Gunner is getting a story!

I have been very impatiently waiting to find out how the story of Shane and Jolie would play out. Many theories floating around my mind but it was even more ruthless and breath taking then originally expected and I can’t get enough!! There is so much more story to play out and I can’t wait

So, we start where we left off with Jolie and Shanes story in this third book of their trilogy. So let’s get to it.
Shane is still pissed off with Jolie but his anger is not as intense as it was in book 2. I suspect its because hes finally come up with a plan for revenge. If you’ve read the first 3 books, you’d know Shane is a ruthless, bone fide mafia captain. So when he speaks of revenge I expect its going to be some violent act of revenge. Actually, at some point I was convinced he was going to send her back to the Johnson’s. But no, that’s not it, but well get to that later.
Jolie, Jolie, Jolie. Listen I get it. She feels really guilty and all that shit and wants to appease Shane so she lets him get away with some fucked up shit. At some point I was getting tired of it. I thought
I get that Shane is upset, feels betrayed and all that. But really? She was just a spectator in her own life and it really started to piss me off. At some point she was just plain ridiculous. Do y’all remember that she’s sworn up and down that she didn’t want Sean walking in Shane’s life? Apparently, all it took for her to change her mind was some idiot making a comment that they weren’t scared of him!
Also, I don’t get that shit. How could someone treat you so bad but the minute they get close to you, you forget that they just belittled you and your body suddenly gets hot for him and suddenly you can’t help but hump him? But apparently, Shane has
Anyway, I digress, we keep going with the story and Shane’s revenge plan is revealed.

I must admit towards the end, I fell in love with Shane, when Jolie finally put her cards on the table and Shane finally admitted he loves her, this was me
Do yourself a favour and read this series. This is a 5* read although I knocked half a star off because of Jolie and Shane’s back and forth got to me. I couldn’t take it much longer. Hands down one of the best reads of 2020 so far.

Resolution; the final book in the trilogy of Shane and Jolie's journey from Retribution to Restitution to eventually finding Resolution.
To coin a phrase this couple have definitely been the "marmite" couple, not easy to love because of their reactionary behaviour. Resolution is well written with strong characters and whilst Shane and Jolie are the main protagonists it soes take them a while to realise and acknowledge they have the love, support and understanding of their friends, people who consider them family, who are nudging them towards a HEA.
Would I recommend Resolution? Oh yes I would, but you do need to read Retribution and Restitution first. This is packed full of action, some serious sexy interactions, humour, cameos of previous characters and family time. Outsude they may be villians on the inside they crave love acceptance and wanting to belong. Definetly a story that keeps you interested but what I love is the strength of the female characters along with the strength of sisterhood.
Shane and Jolie walked that fine line not realising the purpose, determination and true grit needed to get the love they both deserved. Now that's a good old fashioned journey to resolution with plenty of blood sweat and tears to take them to the promise of a HEA.
Sidenote the bonus chapter is a saucy smouldering gift.
Once again little clues are sprinkled throughout preparing the reader for the next book, Gunner's story now that's got mystery all over it.

So this entry into the series was my least favorite. Unfortunately, by the time I started this book, I already didn't have a lot of faith in Shane, his need to be accepted back into the family was very unattractive, blinding and self serving to the point that he was incapable of focusing on or loving Jolie unconditionally. I shudder to think what Jolie's life would have been like had she stayed.
By the time this book was done, I loathed Shane, I didn't believe in his love for Jo and I wanted her to just grab both her kids and move into her own place above the bakery and co-parent but move on from Shane. There was no part of their relationship that was healthy, romantic or loving. The BDSM was random and unbelievable, the forced pregnancy was absolutely in character for someone so selfish but it was also beyond despicable. He loves the kids more than Jo, for sure. He'll be taking her for granted within a year or two. I don't think he'll cheat because he cares too much about appearances within the family, but she's going to have to constantly find ways to make him stay focused on her until she gets tired of doing it and has her own affair because she'll be lonely, neglected and ripe for the picking.
Everything about this "love story" was survival and manipulation. It was exhausting and I understood why Jolie just wanted to check out and not even bother with all the schemes and backstabbing in the guise of a loving family. However, the amount of tears she cried made me want to shake her and get her to take charge of her life more forcefully.
When Teddy is a more steady character then the two main characters, the relationship in this book has lost the ability to be saved.

WOW! ♥
OMG!! What an exhilarating Rollercoaster Ride I've been on with Shane and Jolie's turbulent love story. These two ripped my fucxing heart out at times but boy it was worth all the drama. They drove me bat sh!t crazy to the point of hysteria, I've never wanted to scream as much over a couple as I have with them.
What I've loved most about their story was how it wasn't rushed. We've had to live through EVERYTHING! all the pain, heartache, anger, love and hate. We got to share the memories right along with them. The need for Retribution to finding a Resolution, these books have had it all.
That is why I loved their journey.......because I felt it. ♥
This may have been about Shane and Jolie but it's also about Teddy these three make up a complex twisted triangle to say the least.
Now it's no secret that Shane and Teddy are my Dynamic Duo when it comes to Moniques men. I'm not gonna lie, I think I've had more anxiety over Teddy and Shane's strained relationship than Shane and Jolies, that's how much I love these guys. You can't have one without the other. I've loved seeing them slowly rebuild what they lost they did make me laugh so much at times.
I can't say enough about these books they're so addictive and well written. Don't think about it, just start them today.
Gunner has my all kinds of excited for his story, his secrets run deep and I can't wait to see what makes him tick. He's been a strong character every time he's appeared in these books, building the mystery and intrigue. He's a dark horse with a few tricks up his sleeve that's for sure.....bring them on. 👏

This book is so action packed! You will love and hate Shane in this book. Most of the time you will want to throw your kindle at how he acts and how he treats Jolie. There's so much that happens in this book and I don't want to ruin anything for anyone. You need to experience Shane and Jolie's transformation for yourself. These two thrive on fighting each other. It's what they've always done but now they have a son to worry about. Shane is bent getting revenge on Jolie for what she did and starting a relationship with his son. As usual, the Stern family doesn't make it easy on him. Gabriel pushes Shane and Fallon is up to no good as well. These two do not make it easy on Shane and Jolie. Teddy and Shane are still working on being brothers again but tensions are still high. There's seriously a lot that happens in this book and it will keep you at the end of your seat until the very end! I loved seeing how things transformed in this book and Monique has a way of pulling a story together. Despite not liking Shane throughout most of this story, he did get my heart swooning towards the end,. It was the perfect way to end him and Jolie's love story. I can 't wait to read the next book and find out more about Gunnar. This is one series I'm gonna be sad when it ends. I have become so attached to these characters and how they respond as a family. Sure they all have their issues but at the end of the day they come together as a family.

First of all, I say this will all kinds of in your face, Restitution is the conclusion in Shane & Jolie's story, so YOU MUST READ the previous books FIRST! And frankly, you really should read every last book that the brilliant Monique Orgeron has written in order, though the Youngblood series is a spin-off, but I stand by what I'm saying. I've been here for the Stern family since the very first book come out, and I will NEVER EVER get enough of them, or everyone in their lives to be honest. Ms. Orgeron knows how to enrage me so much, while in the same breath make me all kinds of emotional. I'm still very upset with Shane's actions because he couldn't see past his own hurt, so some of the things he pulled were just awful in my opinion. Hell, everyone was playing around with Jolie which was no bueno to me. I really really want to tell everything & name names, but I won't since that would ruin the experience that I'm all in for! Of course, there are all kinds of f-bomb worthy twists, along side a lot of sexy times as well! I could go on & on all day long, but I won't because I would much rather everyone hit those one click buttons for themselves so WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Someone call a Doctor, Monique has officially hit the Crazy bin, or made me hit it..... either way This Book Is off the CHARTS and will make you go CRAZY!!! You will laugh, Cry, scream, yell, be Angry, REALLY ANGRY, happy, cry again, Overly HAPPY, and say Oh Sh$% a lot.... And that doesnt even include the Incredibly HOT SEX SCENES!! She legitimately brings every emotion you can imagine out again and again..... she is truly relentless, and absolutely Amazing at her words. She definitely did NOT disappoint with Book 3!!! I've waited for this book to come to a close and I was over the Top exctied to see what transpired between Shane and Jolie and she went above and beyond to Show the real Feeling and emotions between these two!!! I feel so attached to both of them. Do they Get their HEA, or will Jolie sacrifice her life..... Monique really puts you on the edge of your seat in this book, I say this about every one of her books, but This is the best one yet..... I can't wait for Gunner's story but then again she may Slay me with that one too.... She should have named this one RESUSCITATION because I need it..... AMAZING WORK AS ALWAYS!!!!

Where do I start. This is the final book for Shane and Jolie and boy was it worth the wait. I couldn't put this book down and read it in one sitting. You get a new respect for Jolie when you realize what lengths she will go to for her children and see all that she has gone through. Then you have Shane and you see what he will do to get the ultimate revenge and then when he gets it, he realizes that it is not as sweet as he thought it would be. Both Shane and Joile go through a transformation in this book and both come out stronger. Some of my favorite moments in this book have to do with Ashlyn and Murphy because the wives in this book put the men in their places and become family to Jolie. This book will make you cry your eyes out for Jolie and at the same time have you rooting her on and then you will want to smack Shane upside his head and ask him what is wrong with him? This is the perfect end for their story and i can't wait to see what is next. Monique you out did yourself with this one.

Y’all, I burned up my treadmill while reading it if that tells you anything. I almost passed out at one point because I was holding my breath and didn’t even realize it. That’s what Monique’s books do to me.... they all give me the feels. I feel like I’m an invisible Stern (by marriage to Gabriel or Zander).
Jolie, Shane, Teddy, Sean.... we get to hear it all! The big secret is finally revealed and handled and boy, was it handled!
This book has a lot of road bumps, twists and turns. If you don’t stomp your foot and flare your nostrils at least once, you’re not paying attention. Another fantastic 5 star read that leaves me anxious for the next one.....Mysterious Gunner!!

Shane, Shane, Shane, what am I going to do with you?!?!? Resolution is the conclusion of Shane and Jolie's story. This is not a stand alone, so you need to have read the first three books in the series. Murphy, as always, is a scene stealer! I love her! Lots of steamy scenes in this book, Shane and Jolie definitely make up for lost time! Shane has always been my favorite, from his first appearance in the Stern family saga series. This book, he had me so angry that I literally kept having to put the book down before I threw it across the room. While he may have made up for things, I'm still angry at him. Monique has quickly become one of my favorite authors. I love mafia stories, and have a serious love/hate relationship with alpha men, and she is amazing with both! I recommend her books all the time!!!

Picking up right where we were left hanging in Restitution (Youngbloods #3), this one sucked me in from the very beginning. Shane and Jolie's story was never going to be an easy one to read...and this book just put the final cross on the T.
What these two have been through and are currently going through, you can only hope and pray that the ending will be everything you hope for. Emotions are everywhere and feelings are hurt and repaired and hurt again.
These two deserve the happy ending that they have needed since meeting each other all those years ago. But typical of this author, she will make them work for it!!!

WOW...what a story. This is the second part of Shane and Joilie’s fight for survival and an end to their torment in their lives. This book picks you up by the throat, shakes you about and drops you back down with a thump. It’s not just the men that are fighting back but the women are too......big style.
Both Shane and Jolie give it their all to destroy each other but sometimes they are ruled with their hearts not their heads!. It all boils down to family and loyalty.
There were so many emotions in this book from love, lust and desire to hate, deceit and backstabbing. This is everything I would expect from Monique’s books and I wasn’t disappointed. This series just keeps getting better !!.....fantastic and well worth reading.

RESOLUTION by Monique Orgeron is book 4 in the Youngblood Series. This continues the story of Shane and Jolie. So, you really do need to read the other previous books: Redemption, Retribution and Restitution before starting this one. This is a great series so you will not want to miss it. This book does concluded Shane and Jolie's story. We start back where we left off in the last book with Jolie working to stay strong and protect those she loves just like she has been doing. Shane is starting to feel that vengeance isn't as welcoming as he had thought. This book along with the series just keeps you glue to the pages while taking you on a roller-coaster ride of emotions. Loved it.

Best Book Ever!!! I had been waiting as patiently as I possibly could for the conclusion of Shane and Jolie’s story and HOLY MOTHER OF HOTTNESS!!! Hottest book yet! Monique is a master at playing with your emotions. You will be on the verge of tears, then pissed beyond belief, then fanning yourself and looking for a strong drink after some of these scenes and then start the circle all over. This book consumed me, I could not put it down. We get a whole new dynamic with the girls and let me tell you..... they some bad ass bitches!!! Well played Monique ...... well played

Phenomenal! Epic! Page turner! These are just a few words to describe how amazing this book is. Resolution is the conclusion to Shane and Jolie’s story and let me tell you it’s one for the ages and it’s by the best book of their story. We find out a lot as this book picks right up where the last one left off. You’ll have tears, your heart will break and you’ll laugh at the funny moments. In all Resolution is gonna leave you wanting more and dying for the next book in the series. I have a feeling Gunner’s book is gonna be just as epic.

First I want to say is this is one of Monique’s best books!! This is the third book to Shane and Jolie’s love story. It picks up right where Restitution left off and you can feel the angst right off.
This book was hard to put down bc you will be wondering what will happen next! This book will take you on a roller coaster ride with all the twists and turns you would never expect!
I highly recommend this book! Just know you have to read Retribution and Restitution before this book. Monique did an amazing job with this book! I can’t wait to read the next book she has planned!

Monique is by far my favorite author. All of her books are just amazing. I have loved every main character in her books but I have to say jolie is one my faves. Not only is she fierce but she always tries to put her son first. Nothing but him matters and I love it. She always tries to make sure he is happy even when life seems so unfair to her. I still love shane even when he is fighting his own feelings. He is as hard-headed as they come but man does he love jolie.
As always I can't wait for what you come up with next.

Omg this part of the series is so awesome. Shane needs to shape up and he needs to realise that he has responsibility for his son and her. Jo has been raising him. He keeps her against her will for their protection. Catherine sees thru everything with Shane n how he feels for jo. Jo is trying to go along with everything but when the heart walls come down it is so amazing. He knows how to satisfy a lady. All the events in this book is so good and you see the family comes together. It was an awesome series and I love it completely.

Yes, I was a little upset with Jolie, but if she hadn't realized what was happening & that she really did love Shane, things wouldn't have ever worked out as they did. Still angry at Gabriel & Fallon, but apologies mean a lot. Even Catherine stepped in a little, although I think she can do no wrong! Now to wait for Gunner's story. Will Gunner find his one & only? Thank you Monique for another Great story!
