This looked like such a cute story. I don’t know what this authors obsession is with making faithless losers as her “hero’s” I have read a couple of her other books with similar attributes and I just don’t get it. I enjoyed parts of this story, but as soon as I’d start forgetting his douchiness, all of the many many many other women he screwed while he was “in love” with heroine were brought up. It’s was creepy, he would specifically pick blonds because she was blind. He was happy to just replace her and pretend instead of being an alpha male and going after her to make her his. So much for his “love”. At one point in the book he even says that they needed their “break” and it was good for them. All they did was screw other people (especially him) how is this romantic at all? I cannot understand why this author even wrote this book. These people are around 30 and we are supposed to believe their childhood love is real? Even if it was the guy is a weak douche. Why would I want that for my hero. He couldn’t keep his d$&k out of other girls long enough to try to make it work with his dream girl. He even screwed the girl who bullied and humiliated the heroine in high school. There was just nothing to root for in this book...
Man, the last 40% of this book was torture. Honestly, the whole premise was as thin as cellophane. I have a lot of thoughts on this so let's get started.
The whole idea of the book is that the children of a gaming company are forced to get married to appease the apparently born in the 1950s owner of another tech company.
Harley and Nate have been friends since they were born. Both have been in love with each other but neither ever admitted it. Wanting distance from her feelings, Harley moved across the country. When a scandal breaks about Nate (There were pics of him having sex with someone. Whoopy-freaking-doo) the investors in their company threatens to pull out. Everyone comments that the girl kinda looks like Harley and so their dads come up with a brilliant plan to pretend it was his soon to be wife. Because I guess having public sex is okay as long as it's your finance?
So, this could have been good but there were several gigantic issues. For one, every one of their friend and fam knows about the fake marriage. The only person who doesn't is the investors. Harley has a boyfriend at the time and actually leaves their date to go home per her father's request then has to break up with him over the phone after she agrees to marry Nate. And her boyfriend just goes with it? Like he never comes forward to announce they were together at the same time as Nate's photos were taken. There were SO MANY PEOPLE who could have called this marriage a fake but of course no one does until the end and the couple has to break up before their whole get back together scene. And Harley's reason for being pissed? The girl he slept with was mean to her in HS. TEN YEARS AGO!
Oh, but wait there are more plotholes.
Nate says at the beginning he doesn't even know who took the photos but then at the end says he knew it was the chick he slept with. The whole investor drama at the end. Everyone's flip-floppy comments about the marriage being fake but not really.
On top of all this, the pacing was so off. Nate is always clear in his chapters that he loves her, but Harley goes from avoiding and hating him to loving him in ONE chapter. Then they are all in love and of course, fooling around because we HAVE to have that in a romance book even if it fits like a warped puzzle piece. Her ultimatum was trash and only used to drag out the last 20% of the book. We get at LEAST 3 useless chapters meant only to set up the next character's books.
I literally could go on and on. I have no idea how I even finished this which is sad because I love this trope.
WHEN IT'S DONE RIGHT.
PS can we stop letting out breaths we didn't know we were holding? That saying died somewhere in the mid-2010s.
This is probably the best book I have read in a long time! The chemistry and banter between the two main characters was amazing! The length of the book was perfect as it allowed for a fulsome story to be told. There was a good mix of a new relationship developing without having to rely too much on the relationship the two main characters had in the past. I loved Harley and Nate and their quick wit and comebacks. You could truly feel the love between the two of them. I'm so happy that they were able to overcome their issues and make it work after so many years of wanting to be with the other person and keeping it a secret. This book made me fall in love with all the secondary characters and the universe this book was set in and I can't wait to see what is next!
What I enjoyed the most, aside from the whole thing, is the real feel of romance and frustration between Nate and Harley. Passions and intense feelings are definitely there, right from the very first I.M. The mixture of learning about the past and how their relationship started and the possibility of a future worked well to challenge not only the main characters but those who share the spotlight with them... Jules and Reid just to name a set who very much have a story to be told.
Omg I absolutely love Harley & Nate. Together Harley & Nate are absolutely perfect for each other. I love there banter and can’t get enough of there story. Truly an amazing read that will have you glued too your kindle.
I voluntarily reviewed this Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Jillian is one of my favorite sports romance authors and when I heard she was taking all the funny banter she puts in her hockey books and shifting it in a whole new direction I was super excited! And she brought it all with Dear Future Ex-Wife! You will fall in love with all the amazing characters in this book and be left wanting so much more! It's an amazing pick me up rom-com to brighten anyone's day!
This is a best friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, second chance romance, office romance, and fake relationship all wrapped into one! Nate and Harley have been best friends all their life, but nearing the end of high school something suddenly changed and they parted ways with hard feelings. Years later they both work for the company their fathers started, but on opposite ends of the US. When Nate’s playboy ways threaten to take down the company their fathers devise a plan to force Nate and Harley together in order to save it all. But will they be able to convince the shareholders they are a real couple? What happens when old issues and feelings come back to the surface?
This book was everything I love in a Jillian book! Lots of banter, a strong heroine that’s easy to connect to, and a hero who falls head over heels for his woman. Harley experiences things in this book that most women have to face daily and I loved seeing her grow and find her voice throughout the book. Nate had me swooning with the amount of love and care he had for Harley. I loved these two so much and I hope this turns into a series because all the supporting characters were just as amazing also! I’m already pairing couples up in my head! Can’t wait to see what’s next to come from Jillian!
I absolutely loved this book! Harley and Nate steal your heart practically from the word go. The connection and chemistry that these two share is elemental and sizzling. An abundance of sparks fly whether they are flirting or clashing. Their banter is clever and sharp. I felt that this book was a mash-up if friends-to-enemies-to lovers and second chance romance and although that might sound a bit complicated it was brilliant and worked exceptionally well. regardless of what they think their relationship status is, I always felt that they were 100% meant to be. Alas, all too often the path of true love is not easy and many obstacles caused this couple to have to take a long, eventful and pain ridden journey to a hard earned HEA. The storyline is a perfect blend of fun, heartfelt and emotional. It will quickly capture your attention and have you searching for every spare moment you can find to keep reading. There is a terrific cast of intriguing secondary characters that I hope (Fingers Crossed) get their own books because I know I definitely want more of them!! If you enjoy a book that makes you laugh, tugs at your heartstrings, raises your temperature and has you swooning, grab this book now because it does all that and more. This is my sincere, volitional review.
Not bad, not good, just ehh. On a technical level it was well written. The storyline was thin to start with. We are only told their history, we don't get to experience any of it, none of their friendship, why they love each other, nada. Then the book itself is only over a 6 week period, then skip two months, then HEA. You don't feel for the characters. It was also a slow read, slow as in boring. I fell asleep reading it more than once, and had no inclination to pick it back up and keep reading, I went days inbetween. And it's actually a fairly short, quick, easy read, I just couldn't care. It actually moved fairly fast, and to the detriment of the story. They'd be in a position, you want to see what happens next, are they finally go to ... someone interrupts. Then the story continues a week later. What the heck!?! You mean nothing else happens for days or a week!?! The book was already barely running on a thin storyline. We finally get to the turmoil, the drama, Harley finds out who the woman in the pictures was. And if that whole plot wasn't contrived? Then Harley is like do this, and all is well. Some trivial conversations and meals happen - skip ahead two months, happily ever after. Two random complaints I have. 1) Harley was dating a a guy. They'd been on two dates we don't see. The book starts with her getting ready for the 3rd date. Dude is late, they order drinks, her dad calls, and she leaves. They don't even get a 3rd date. They haven't even slept together, and kiss on the cheek. Yet everyone acts like it's so serious. Harley has to "break up with him over the phone". And that conversation, which we're privy to from Nate's POV as he eavesdrops, is way more intense then a two date "break up" needs to be. Also, Nate later justifies sleeping with the blond in the pictures, because he had just found out Harley and the other guy "were getting serious", lol, ok, after two dates, sure. And 2) the book uses pop culture references, and then explains them. I couldn't stop laughing or rolling my eyes every time it happened:
"'I think your nose grew from that lie.' I chuckle at her Pinocchio reference."
"'...News flash, the entire male population isn't DTF just for you.' Down To F---."
"'I could see us having a Little Iron Man and a (bada$$) girl like Black Widow. We could call her Tash. Yeah, I like that. Tony and Tash.' Short for Natasha Romanoff."
Yeah, we get them. And if your pop culture references aren't pop culturey enough for people to get, maybe don't use them.
Jillian brought back all the same vibes and creativeness she's shown in the past. I feel like King Takes Queen may have even been mentioned previously in Jocking Jameson, but I'd have to do a reread to be sure.
Nate King is a boss when it comes to game codes, his fathers company is his legacy if only he could keep it in his pants and out of the media. Harley McQueen was once his best friend but time, bad choices, and Harley's need to put distance between them severed their forever.
I really enjoyed this aspect of their relationship. You know once upon a time they were everything. Best friends first that never crossed that line even though they both wanted more. While its touched on, this story highlights more of where they are at now and rekindling what they lost. Even if the circumstances aren't ideal.
Harley's character is sassy and smart. What I enjoyed most about her was her ability to adapt. In every situation she rose to the challenge before her, even though most of the time she seemed to go with the flow she also knew what she wanted and wasn't all that afraid to go after it.
Nate was her perfect half, the tech to her art. His character wasn't afraid to spill his truth and show her what she's always meant to him. Jillian knows how to turn even the biggest Alpha into a softy when coupled with the right woman.
There are a few side characters in this book that I kinda hope get their own stories. Personally her Hockey Series' are my favourite, but I can't wait to see where she goes with what could be a brand new series here.
I got the kindle book in a goodreads giveaway a while ago. But I couldn’t make time for it, buried in so many other books 😛 finally, I’ve finished it. To me, it’s a good read, but a great one.
This is a romance novel, so things are HOT. But at the same time, we also need a good story. I thought the storyline was quite weak. I mean everything went so easily for the main characters. There wasn’t even much of a challenge for them!
Also, the story is told from two different point of views. It is told by two people. But I felt disappointed that both storylines are told in the same way. I mean if two people tell some story, their style of speaking should be different, right?
Finally, the one thing that bothered me most, the programmer. Being a programmer myself, I know that you DON’T use Python for games. You can create some small prototypes or some small side projects, but you just don’t use that for commercial game development. So why on earth an programmer from MIT would use Python for his video games? Just because Python sounds so much cooler than C++? May be.
Overall it was a nice read. But when I read a book, even though it’s a romance, I expect a stronger storyline.
I wanted very badly to give this a higher rating as I have loved other books from this author, but this one just kind of flopped for me :(
I typically shy away from insta-love type story because I feel like they lack a part of the story that makes you connect with the characters and their relationship. It just makes it difficult to feel the high and lows of a relationship when you haven't formed a connection with the characters. I know that Harley and Nate are childhood friends, but his was still and insta-love story for me because their time in high school was never shown, so it was hard to see why they fell in love with each other in the first place.
My second issue was that I found Harley to be too dramatic for my taste, it's just something I personally don't enjoy reading. I also thought she was holding some kind of grudge against Nate for not asking her something that she wanted to and they never were even dating, so her distain for him confused me. I think the final straw for me was the ultimatum. I thought that was so ridiculous and selfish of her and it just seemed like her reasoning for offering it was unnecessary. Once everything was explained it seemed to me that Nate was the victim all along and Harley just wasn't being accountable for her role in everything. Overall, I think Harley just soured this book for me. I just couldn't connect with her or find anything that I liked about her. Nate kinda saved it for me though. He's such a sweet guy and goes all out for Harley.
I will say that I am stoked to read Reid and Jules story. The banter between those two was one of my favorite parts of the book.
“This story will captivate the heart of every reader....You will laugh & love the bride and groom. Plus fall in love with their crazy friend-squad that you pray Jillian writes their own love story.”
This story is so captivating that you beg for more after ever page turner.
Literally is so phenomenal!!
I love King and Queen so much that they both seriously remind me of a little version of Joker and Harley lol 😂!!
I hope Jillian writes more Rom-Com stories starting with Jules and Reid!! Gosh those two definitely will have one entertaining story to tell.
I definitely recommend this story so don’t think twice to purchase!!
Ugh weirdly enough I liked Nate more than Harley, even if he was a playboy or whatever. He seemed more genuine that she did. Harley was so annoying, too. Geez, I wouldn't be able to stand her as a friend in real life. And seriously, he slept with the girl that bullied her over 10 years ago, a girl he didn't even realize was the same bully until after they slept together. I mean seriously? This chick is in her late 20s and she's still hung over high school drama. Give me a break. Grow the F up. And then her BS ultimatum, finish your video game or I'll divorce you. JFC. I'd refused to touch the video game just to spite her. That is the stupidest beyond stupidest ultimatum I have ever seen. I don't even like ultimatums but whatever. How does that prove his love for you? She wants him to finish coding a game and basically perfect a game within two months while still working as the CTO releasing two other games, chick is an effing idiot, no wonder your father didn't think you belong in the video game field. And omg the many references to sexism, I get it. Thanks for your PSA, I just wanted to enjoy a damn romance book.

I loved Harley and Nate so much! Sometimes it takes me a bit to get into a new story/characters but that wasn't the case with Dear Future Ex Wife! I was hooked from the very beginning and in fact if felt like the characters were old friends.
Harley and Nate were best friends as kids but in high school things changed and they drifted apart and went off to separate colleages but they were never going to escape each other as there fathers run a company together.
Harley went off to colleage on the west coast and stay there to put some distance between Nate and her Dad who she feels has never believed she is good enough to work for the family busines.
Nate's a bit of a playboy and after and error in judgement that could cost him a huge job for the family business, the only solution that Harley's dad and Nate's dad can think of is that he marries Harley!!!! But first they have to convince Harley?
Really looking forward to all the other characters that we meet in this book getting there own books. I can already see another story in the making!
Another fantastic story from Jillian that I would highly recommend you grab.
I received an ARC but I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
The first half of this book was a solid 4-stars but I feel like it lost steam, fell into cliche troupes, had an unsatisfying conflict/resolution, and ultimately didn't have the "it" factor (for lack a better description) to describe the connection between Harley and Nate.
One of my biggest frustrations with this story is the amount of content that was there merely to establish future books. Full chapters dedicated to describing all these other characters and their budding romances took away from Harley and Nate's story. It's just disappointing when that happens. I don't mind a quick mention but when literally all of the characters have a side plot it really bothers me.
Also, the conflict/resolution felt really sloppy. Harley honestly overreacts to Nate getting together with her high school arch-nemesis. And why was this woman, Alexa, her enemy you ask? Because she orchestrated Harley being asked to the prom by the most popular guy from school and he fell for her and they dated which led to Nate and her drifting apart. Seems like a pretty okay situation if you ask me. Yes, it's sad that she and Nate drifted but it's not Alexa's fault (even though she's painted as this evil, calculating bitch). And Harley didn't have to say yes to the prom. I just don't get it. Plus it's not like he cheated on her! Also, that was HIGH SCHOOL.
I'm not a gamer, never have been, and I found it hard to get into the nuances of that part of the story.
I will say I loved the part in the treehouse, and when they opened up to each other about how 'it's always been you' blah blah.
All in all, I know I'm being critical. It's just sometimes I feel happily surprised by the depth of feeling I get from books like this but this story stayed pretty surface level for me.
"Dear Future Ex-Wife" by Jillian Quinn was a fun, flirty, steamy frenemies-to-lovers romance that I enjoyed and would recommend. What made it extra special for me was that it was mostly set in Philadelphia, which is pretty unique in my experience so far with contemporary romance. I'm a proud Philly girl by birth, so I loved seeing my city represented and had a lot of fun imagining being back home as the characters went about their daily lives.
The main characters of this story, Nate and Harley, were both very likeable and well-developed. I really appreciated that Nate treated Harley as an equal and made such an effort to recognize her artistic talents, especially since her own father largely ignored them. Harley's wish for her father to finally see her was one of the main reasons she agreed to marry Nate, but she was also smart enough to realize that she could benefit from the arrangement as well by negotiating a well-deserved promotion into the deal.
I loved Harley and Nate's amusing banter and how they constantly teased each other, as well as the slow burn of their relationship development as Harley, especially, tried to resist her reawakening romantic feelings for Nate. It was easy to see how strong their attraction was even after so many years apart, and I couldn't wait for them to finally give in to it. When they did, I thought my Kindle might actually combust!
The book's secondary characters, mainly Nate and Harley's group of friends, were also a tremendous amount of fun, though I have to admit to wondering how some of them stayed employed given how much they all went out partying and drinking. That said, they were all quite likeable, and I could easily see several of them starring in future books of their own.

This is a best friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, second chance romance, office romance, and fake relationship. It does have some of the same characters from the Face Off series. You see the same names / characters.
In this book we have Nathan King, who is a video game coder, working at his father's company. We also have Harley McQueen, who works at the LA office for the same company. Harley & Nathan were best friends growing up, but, along came high school and the boy / girl feelings finally came to light. Nathan liked her way more than just a friend, and Harley wasn't sure how she felt about Nathan.
Harley has been called back to the main office by her father, who wants to marry her off to Nathan in order to save the company. It's supposed to be a 'fake' marriage but, with the feeling these to have about each other I'm not sure fake is the word we should use. The investors that want the union between the two families shouldn't have had such a say in this relationship.
Nathan likes Harley way more than he should. He's always liked more than a friend since high school. But, Nathan never wanted to share his feelings and get heart broken, but, at the same time, he became a man whore, sleeping with everything in sight to get Harley out of his system.
Harley& Nathan have such witty come backs against each other. Harley wants to maintain her 'strong' front against Nathan, but, she really loves him and would melt at his feet if given the chance.
I did receive a free ARC copy of this book. I am freely leaving an honest review.
I received Dear Future Ex-wife through a Goodreads giveaway. Unfortunately, I did not particularly enjoy this book, but it did have a few redeeming qualities. The plot is pretty flimsy and predictable, while the characters are one-dimensional and just unlikable. It's a familiar tale of "boy and girl were friends, now boy and girl hate each other but underneath the bickering is sexual tension, now boy and girl have to pretend to be in love and oh, wait, now they are actually in love!" peppered with a lot of sex scenes. It became clear that this book is less of a novel and more of a good old fashioned smut read. That being said, the sex scenes were adequately written. I'd say it was infinitely better than Fifty Shades of Grey (which if you reference my other reviews, you can see I was not a fan of that series). I appreciated that the male protagonist treated his partner as an equal and supported her career ambitions. Also props to Jillian Quinn for including dialogue about consent and contraception before getting to the action. Ultimately, this was a quick read with decent prose, and if you like erotic fiction then you might appreciate this. I just don't, and didn't.
2.75 stars. One line that I had continuously thought about the H long before it was said by the h was:- “everything our family’s have spent decades to build, all because you were too much of a jerk to consider anyone but yourself.” Nathan King is an asshole. Two thousand percent. Let me make this point clear, after discovering you’re in love with your best friend and you’re too cowardly to tell your feelings, if you go on to have numerous women who all look like her, THAT’S NOT ROMANTIC. THAT’S PSYCHOPATHIC. I have read numerous serial killer novels, where the main point is lookalikes. It just isn’t cute. Also I never relate to this point which has happened in many alpha novels. If you’re deeply in love with someone, how can you possibly still have other relationships? It is a waste of time for everyone. It’s so stupid to think with a body part, haven’t you heard of CONTROL? It didn’t feel like unconditional true love because of this. I also was waiting for the other shoe to drop(yet another stupid and knowing mistake the H did, from which the above quote is from) so I couldn’t enjoy their scenes together. The heroine forgave him too easily ffs. Wasn’t impressed. Glad to be done with this. Two stars for the small mention of python coding, because I’m a student myself, and the other one and three quarters just for the sake of it ig, or maybe for the friends Harley has... they weren’t the best, but I have always wanted to be a part of a good group so am giving those stars for that.

I love a good second chance romance mixed in with an enemies to lovers element.
Harley and Nate grew up together and have been best friends from the start, but life and bad decisions tear them apart. However, another bad decision will bring them back together, while Nate is happy with Harley coming back home, Harley ain’t too happy with the situation.
I loved everything about this book especially our couple’s crazy group of friends, I need books on all of them please! I loved the progression of Nate and Harley’s relationship; I enjoyed how Nate put all his feelings into making a terrible situation into something they always wanted.
Of course there is a major incident that was a ticking time bomb in my opinion. Nate should have manned up and said something or best course of action was NOT to do it in the first place. There are too many twists and reveals that I do not want to spoil so I will not go into further detail.
I wanted to dislike Nate I really did, but the man made it simply impossible to not root for him to win his Queen. Harley held strong even in difficult times and does help that she has the ultimate support team in Nate, but mostly her ladies who had her back from start to finish.
I loved the epilogue (you have to sign up for her email to get it) and the glimpse we get into the future of the crazy bunch.
I look for ward to a book on Reid and Jules ;) and of course the others in this crazy group.
This book was unexpected. I throughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more by this author. The banter between both Nate and Harley was great. The chemistry could be read between the lines from page 1. This book is both written in first person POV in both Harley and Nates.
Harley and Nate grew up together from a young age. Their dads own a gaming company that they are expected to take ofer in the future. Both H and h falling in love, but never admitting to it due to fear of it ending their friendship. After high school prom, things become distant and they split their ways; Harley moving on the opposite side of the country. A few years later a huge scandal happens where Harley is needed to come back and save the company. The only way - to marry her long time love but currently the man she despises. The marriage is only for the sake of the company, or is it? Do they end up in their happy ending after years of loving each other without the other knowing?
This book was great. I’m surprised it doesn’t have more reviews yet! Also the super hero references toward the end were refreshing and different. I enjoyed the storyline and overall different take on this romcom! The steaminess was great also! Can’t have a good romcom without the heat 🔥 😍
I absolutely fell in love with this wonderful rom-com. ❤️🥰😍💕 The characters, the plot, the setting, just everything....swoon worthy. ❤️💕❤️
The King may finally end up with his Queen. After many long years, twelve to be exact, a scandal that could cost him everything actually opens the door to bring back the one person missing from his life. These past twelve years have been the worst with out his Queen.
Harley moved across the country to get away from her best friend Nate. They were the King and Queen in each other’s lives for so long, but in high school he pulled away and started dating ad she just couldn’t take it anymore. But even distance won’t help when she is called home to fix his screw up.
This book was an excellent romance. It is fun and highly entertaining. The characters are nerdy and charismatic. The story flows smoothly from start to finish. I just fell in love with Harley and Nate. It was a fairy tell story Comic book style. I believe Nate would slay dragons for his Queen. I love nerdy romance!!!❤️.
Overall this book is a beautiful story of love lost and love found, nerd style. I hope that there are more books with the rest of the gang, because come on I want to see what happens with Reid and Jules! And who gets Stefan?!🥰😍❤️💕
Harley McQueen and Nathan "Nate" King have known each other their whole lives. Their dads, Jonathan McQueen and Richard King, started a gaming company together 30 years ago, Queen Takes King so their whole childhood was spent being together. Harley and Nate were each other's best friends until the end of their senior year of high school when it all fell apart. Flash forward 12 years. Nate works for the company in New York while Harley works at the California office. Nate's playboy lifestyle has gotten the company into a problem and the only way out is for him to get married. Who better as his future bride than Harley! Of course since these two are not on friendly terms, it brings a lot of comedy to the table!
As Harley and Nate plan for this wedding with the thought that it will be annulled in the near future, Nate realizes that he wants this marriage to be real. All he needs to do is convince Harley of his plan. Just when it looks like these two will get their happy ending, a demon from their pasts comes haunting back to ruin everything. It will take a lot of soul searching for these two to look deep inside to find their happy ending but once they do, it will be well worth it.
I really enjoyed this book. Harley McQueen and Nate King have been friends since they were children. While their fathers were running their gaming empire, Queen takes King, Harley and Nate were inseparable. They had a falling out in High School and ended out on opposite coasts working for their fathers company and only communicating via snarky company messages. When Nate’s playboy ways jeopardize the company, Harley and Nate must get married to save their families legacy. This is a delightful fake relationship romance. I loved both Nate and Harley and all of the other friends in their group (hoping they all get their own stories). If you want a nice light romance to get you through your social distancing, this is the book for you. I received an ARC of this book from the author for my honest review.
Loved this book and love Nate and Harley. This book was a best friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, second chance romance, office romance, and fake relationship all wrapped into one! The banter between Nate and Harley is great and you can't help but fall in love with these two. Nate gets into trouble and he needs Harley's help to get out of it but she wants nothing to with helping him out. Queen takes King is the name of the company that they both work for that is run by there dads and these two used to be best friends but one misunderstanding took that all away. The chemistry between Nate and Harley is intense, it sizzles and it off the charts hot. I couldn't stop reading this book once I started it because it was that good. This is a must read and you will not be disappointed...
