Great! Another erotica 'keeper' series...my husband will be SOOO thrilled :) I've already ordered the other print books in this series by Bianca D'Arc. If you liked McCaffrey's "Pern" books and you like erotica, then RUN, don't walk, to your nearest bookstore and pick up this book. You are in for a real treat!

This print book includes the first two "Dragon Knight" series books. The others in print so far are "The Ice Dragon" and "Prince of Spies". There is also a short story in the print anthology "I Dream of Dragons" published in March 08.

MAIDEN FLIGHT - Belora is NOT a happy camper. Her arrow shot true and that stag would feed she and her mother for a month. Then that greedy dragon just swooped down and grabbed it...She'll just see about that! Belora and her mother have been alone for most of her life. She assumes everyone can hear and speak with dragons. Little does she know but this talent sets her apart, and the dragon Kelvan has no intention of letting her get away. This little one doesn't look too bad, for a human, and his knight Sir Gareth had been pretty grouchy lately...this should cheer him up!!

Sir Gareth is indeed delighted with his dragon's gift. She's a beauty and they are immediately and powerfully drawn to each other. Now all Gareth needs to do is move her to his den, mate with her, explain the 'unusual' dragon riders customs to her, mate with her, keep her mom safe, mate with her, stop a war, mate with her...er, did he forget to mention dragon rider families have two males to one female?

BORDER LAIR - Belora's mother, Adora, has struggled to raise her daughter by herself. She's suffered the loss of two other children and the loss of her husband, but she and Belora have done just fine. She's accepted her daughter's unusual family and is happily ensconced at the Dragon Lair working as a healer. What Adora doesn't know is that she's about to run into an old friend. And the shocking news this old friend has for her will change her life forever.

Sir Jared lost his wife and son to an attack while he was off on the king's business. He's felt the heavy burden of guilt since that time and has closed himself off from everyone except his dragon, Kelzey. He's instantly attracted to Adora, but guilt still rules his heart. Lord Darian sacrificed his standing, his home, and his country to bring news to the lair of an impending attack. He is also strongly attracted to Adora and he's quite willing to provide the love she needs. Who will Adora choose? Will she have to choose? All things are possible...with the help of some very conniving dragons...

This book includes the first two installments of the Dragon Knight-Series "Maiden Flight" and "Border Lair".
The first book "Maiden Flight" tells the story about Belora a young woman living with her mother Adora, a healer in the woods near a little village. To provide them with food for at least two weeks Belora hunts down a stag but before she can secure the game a dragon steals her prize. Furious Belora follows the dragon to take him to task and get back her stag. Kelvan the dragon is intrigued by the fearless woman who is able to talk to him and decides to take her to his knight Gareth to resolve this problem. Gareth is at once drawn to the girl having immediately recognized her as his mate, he only has to convince her now that he´s the one for her. Belora is also very attracted to the handsome knight and follows him to the Lair where the dragons and their knights dwell. But Gareth "forgot" to tell her about one unimportant little detail – if she marries him she will also have to marry the knight of Kelvan´s mate too...
In the second installment "Border Lair" is the focus of the story on Adora, Belora´s mother who is a healer and has always been able to talk to dragons too. When Adora was a toddler she found one day the female dragon Kelzy who became like her second mother to her but circumstances drove them apart. Adora had a hard life loosing her husband and her two twin daughters were stolen from her and never found again. When Belora leaves to live at the Lair with Gareth Adora finds out with joy that Kelzy her dragon mother is also living at the same Lair. Kelzy wants her to come with them but Adora declines because she doesn´t want to leave the villagers without a healer. When she village is destroyed by the skiths – huge snakelike evil creatures with deadly venom coming from the neighbouring kingdom Skithdron she only barely escapes with her life and is rescued last minute by Kelsy and her knight Jared the leader of the Lair. She has no choice now but to go with them...
I really really loved this book! What an interesting world of dragons and knights, hot love and passion (with very graphic sex scenes) and – very important – a captivating plot which gets more interesting and fleshed out with every following book! I just couldn´t stop reading when the secrets around Belora´s and Adora´s origin was revealed and both had to come to terms that there wasn´t only one husband waiting for them.. winks! It was also amusing to read the banter between Kelvan, Belora and Gareth when they first met and started bargaining about the stag. If you like to read a steamy love story set in a fantastic world don´t miss this book! I of course will read on with the next book in the series "The Ice Dragon".

Adults only, Menage.
Nice world building, with sentient dragons who cannot mate until their knights take a mate, and the females are in short supply so the knights share a wife.
This book had #1 and #2 of the series, so I read both back to back. This emphasised the identical plot in both books, and exactly the same words used to describe love scenes. The good guys are only good, without flaws, so there was not much character depth. Hence the 3 stars.
The story was interesting enough so that I got the next in the series and I hope there will be more variety.

Excellent. Fantasy erotica - talking and flying dragons - menage - yummmmmmm!

Author does not make any attempt to speak 'forsoothly' barring an occasional 'milady' - there are far more 'okay's, 'no way!'s and 'you've got to be kidding me!'s...

I know it's erotica, but I knew I wasn't going to be able to stomach it when the H/h started the horizontal hula after knowing each other for less than 10 minutes. Maybe there was some kind of paranormal compulsion to do so, but I wasn't reading any more just to find out.

Two good stories. Not as well written as some of her books. Could have used some editing to smooth things out. Still enjoyed them and will be reading the rest of the series.
