The Good Guys Box Set: Trucker, Dancer, Dropout, and A Trucker Wedding

Get the first three standalone novels in The Good Guys Series, plus and ALL NEW short story, A Trucker Wedding.

Small-town romance. Hot truck drivers/mechanics. First and forever love.

TRUCKER
ANGEL
I know what you're whispering in the car as you pass me by.
Hitchhiker.
When you see me walking along the side of the road with my thumb out, you'll probably keep driving without giving me a second glance. You probably think I'm foolish. Naïve.
You might assume I've made some bad decisions.
You might think I'm too young to be on my own.
You might be right.

TRAVIS
I love my job, but driving an eighteen-wheeler comes with a certain stereotype. When you hear I’m a trucker, a specific image might come to mind. Uneducated. Dirty. Perverted. Rough around the edges and a little bit dangerous.
But the truth is, I’m not any of those things. In fact, I’m pretty far from it.
You’d be surprised to find out I’m one of the good guys.

DANCER
BRIELLE
Technically, I’m not a stripper. As a cage dancer, I don’t take all my clothes off and no one gets to touch me. I’m just the eye candy.
And I can feel their eyes on me. I know they’re watching, but I don’t do this for them.
This is my time.
My life may not have turned out the way I thought it would, but I’m not complaining. From 9pm to 1am several days a week I get paid to feel sexy, to feel desired, to do what I love.
I always knew I wanted to be a dancer—I just didn’t realize I’d be doing it in a cage.

COLTON
Erectile dysfunction—two words that can cause a collective cringe from men everywhere. The doctors can call it ‘performance anxiety’ all they want, but that’s just a fancy way of saying my d*ck doesn’t work.
Just when I start to think there’s no hope for me, I see her. She’s gorgeous, sexy, and goofy as f*ck. She also looks really familiar but I can’t put my finger on it.
When I find out who she really is, my world is turned upside down and everything seems to fall into place.
She’s not gonna make it easy for me, but I’ve never been one to back down from a challenge. She’s convinced I won’t stick around.
I’ll prove her wrong.
I’ll show her I’m one of the good guys.

DROPOUT
MACKENNA
I have everything I need to live out my dream of being a reclusive songwriter—my guitar, my notebook, and blissful silence.
At least, I did until Jimmy moved in next door.
He’s got bad news written all over him. And last time I got with a bad boy, it ended with me pointing a gun and pulling the trigger.
Talk about going out with a bang.
Jimmy makes me want things I shouldn’t want, which means I have two options: avoid him or piss him off. But no matter what I do he isn't fazed, and I'm quickly realizing there's more to Jimmy than I originally thought.

JIMMY
Over the past year, I’ve been called a lot of things. Slacker. Troublemaker. Party animal.
I thought I was on top of the world. Turns out, I was pretty close to rock bottom.
Now I have a new title: college dropout.
But I’ve got a chance to redeem myself—one summer of squeaky-clean behavior at Grandma Beverly’s. Two months to prove I’m not a complete f*ck-up.
And four rules to follow with the gorgeous girl next door.

Previously reviewed Trucker, Dancer and Dropout. Reviews for this box set is for A Trucker Wedding and A Trucker Baby:

A Trucker Wedding Review:

This was a perfectly sweet, fun, romantic and extraordinary short story featuring my favorite book couple from Jamie Schlosser's Good Guys Series, Angel and Travis! If you loved these two as much as I do, you will DEVOUR and SWOON over their wedding story just like I had. I found myself smiling, sighing in pleasure and melting all at once. Their wedding made me think of happily ever afters and rainbows. It was EVERYTHING I wanted and more.

Jamie Schlosser KNOWS what her readers want and she proved it ten fold with this short story. All the sweetness, fun and excitement of wedding day shenanigans unfold in this short and I couldn't be happier with it. Angel and Travis make my heart sigh in contentment and have me yearning to read their story again and again. I loved every moment of this short!

A Trucker Wedding gets a ULTRA SWOON WORTHY FIVE HEART FILLED STARS!

A Trucker Baby Review:

Who is ready for Travis and Angel's delectable little baby? You all...this book HAS EVERY FEEL! I teared right up reading about cute little baby...well, I won't tell you the name or if its a boy or girl, because YOU need to read Trucker first! But I will tell you this book was AMAAAAAAAZING! Beautiful and tender. As well as incredibly heart warming and makes me wish I could have a baby again.

For only having a couple chapters, this book sure made my freaking day! Travis is such a incredible hero. Protective, caring, sweet, romantic and understanding while Angel is a very protective momma. She is fierce and still sweet and has ALL the mommy jitters that I remember feeling when I had my kids. It was bittersweet to see these two characters become parents. Such a special little treat that should NOT be missed!

A Trucker Baby gets a BEAUTIFUL FIVE SWEET STARS!

Trucker
So many stars. I not only loved this book, but I absolutely adored it. It was a wonderful story about soul mates and your first true love. Your first true love is always the purest and truest, this was a great depiction of that.....absolutely one of the best books I have read. This book will just warm your heart. Travis is the perfect sweetheart of a guy (dibs and he was totally added to my bbc/book boyfriend collection) and Angel lived up to her name. These are two people that you rooted for right from the beginng, they were meant to be together. And it shows with every chapter of this book.

Loved, loved this book.

Dancer
This book had my heart. These two *shake my head*. So, so sweet. They were best friends when they were little and then he moved away. Ellie always knew he was the one, even at a young age, but it broke her heart when he moved away and they lost contact.

Fast forward, he sees her and is so smitten with her....their chemistry is off the charts. They have an amazing night together in which she knows it's him, but he doesn't realize it's her. He keeps pursuing her and their relationship falls in sync. She does have a little girl that he adores.....the way he is with her is what stole my heart, pretty sure it was an ovary overload for me....just sayin. “As her thumb slowly rubbed back and forth, my heart cracked open and I did something I hadn’t done since my mother died—I cried. A lone tear glided down my right cheek as I blinked quickly, trying to get my eyes to dry up before anyone could witness it. Oblivious to my emotional meltdown, Ava sighed wistfully. “I yuv you sixty-seven pounds.” The first tear that fell was quickly followed by another, and I discreetly wiped them away and cleared my throat. “I love you, too, Bug.”....see swoon.

Dropout
Smitten is the word that best describes how I feel about this book and series.....just smitten with it. I was so excited that Beverly's grandson got his own book, because I absolutely love her character. Maybe one of my favorite characters ever, she's tough as nails, straight forward and ornery as all get out.

Mackenna aka Mack is a songwriter who has had a rough go of it and Jimmy is staying with his grandma to help her out with the house maintenance and work some things out for himself. When these two meet....so damn funny. They have so much chemistry, but Mack is guarded and Jimmy wants her to drop her guard. He's pretty fun with his pursuit of her, because sometimes the simple things in life are the best. Jimmy is just a great guy, ornery like his grandma, but still a great guy. I think this quote really says it all about him "You're making ovaries explode all around this place."....very accurate.....just sayin. I also thought is was a fun concept that Mack was older than Jimmy, mixing it up...loved that.

Woo hoo, we get Travis and Angel’s wedding. Get excited. I loved it, got to see all of our favorite characters and some shenanigans. Damn I love this series. Jamie Schlosser is such a great writer I'm trying to figure out how I managed this long without her wonderful books. So wonderful, they make my heart happy *sigh*. Absolutely smitten with this series.

Oh and the icing on the cake? A Trucker Wedding, the perfect denouement to Travis and Angel’s captivating romance. This gloriously penned short story may only be 6 chapters long, but it oozes with love, laughter, whimsy, breathtaking tenderness and red-hot passion!! And as wedding bells finally ring for these adorably love-struck sweethearts, my soul rejoiced!!!

I bought the books of ‘The good guys’ series all separately before this box came out. But this box does have an extra little story in it that you can only find in this box. Luckily, I got the chance to read an ARC of ‘A Trucker wedding’, so I can say that I read all the stories in this box. ‘The good guys’ series is one of my favourite new adult series. The guys in this series aren’t what you call alpha men but I love them just as much. Because sometimes you just want to read a story about a goodhearted, friendly but still sexy and hot guy. Someone who may not be ‘alpha dominant’ but who is still very protective of the girl that he loves. And just because the guy is ‘good’ that doesn’t mean that he can’t be ‘bad’ in the bedroom, if you know what I mean. There are definitely sexy scenes in these stories.

Here, you can find my review of each book separately:

Trucker – 5 stars

I love my bad boys, no doubt about it but sometimes you want to read about a good guy. I had been looking for him for some time now and I’m so happy that I found him in this book! And the fact that the book was free at the time that I got it, is even more excited! I really, really loved this story.

Although Angel is only 17 years old, she has lost a lot of loved ones. The latest person that she lost is her beloved aunt Claire. The person that took care of her. Now she has no one left expect her mother but she left Angel many years ago and is now in prison. But still, Angel thinks and hopes that maybe her mother has changed her mind after all those years and that the time is right to start over and have a mother-daughter relationship with her. So just before her 18th birthday, Angel leaves her foster family and goes off to LA, where her mother is. But during that journey Angel realizes that maybe she was a little bit naïve when she planned this trip. Because the truth is that she didn’t really planned it, she just thought about it and left.
So now, to save money Angel plans to lift her way to LA. Luckily for her, the first person that stop is Travis.

Travis has never stopped before for a hitchhiker but when he sees that young, beautiful girl he knows that he has to stop and save her from herself. Because there are good guys on the road but there are also very dangerous men out there. But Travis never expected that he would fall for her. Being the good guy that he is, he makes her a proposition. He will drive her to LA in a few weeks time and meanwhile she can stay with him. Angel doesn’t know what to think about this stranger but in her heart she feels that she can trust him. So the next few weeks Angel is staying with Travis and although both realize that it’s only for a short time, both are falling for each other. So at the end of her stay, Angel will have to make the hard decision, will she stay with Travis or will she go to LA and to her mother?

The story is told from both POV’s. Both character are very sweet and loveable. I had fun with Angel. Yes, she is young, naive and clumsy but I just loved that about her, I also enjoyed her honestly, it was refreshing. And Travis may be a good guy but he’s also sexy, loyal, hot and everything you could wish for in a guy. Although both were still virgins, the sex scenes were hot. I’m happy that although there were an instant connection between Angel and Travis, the writer still took her time for the story.

It is a simple, sweet love story about two young people who are searching for that extraordinary and to be loved by someone special.

Dancer – 5 stars

Colton and Brielle were best friends when they were children but when Colton and his father moved away, Brielle and Colton lost contact with each other. Brielle was heartbroken by it.
So you can imagine her surprise when she meets Colton again many years later. Sadly, he doesn’t recognize her. Brielle doesn’t know what to do because the young boy that she knew has changed into a handsome guy, a guy that looks at her with desire in his eyes. So Brielle decides to not tell Colton about their shared past. Something that Colton isn’t happy about when he discovers the truth. But it does explain the connection he feels with Brielle.

Because of her past, Brielle has a hard time believing that a good guy like Colton would want her. And the fact that she’s a single mother makes dating a little bit harder. Brielle loves her daughter Ava very much but she knows that most young guys aren’t ready for a single mother and a sweet little girl. But Brielle underestimated Colton’s feelings not only for her but also for her little daughter Ava. And Colton will show Brielle in every way possible that he’s not only her best friend but also the right guy for her and her daughter.

I totally fell in love with this story! I just loved Colton, Brielle and little Ava!
I don’t know how Jamie Schlosser does it but her good guys are just as sexy and hot as any ‘bad’ boy that I have read. And I think that’s just wonderful. The book is told from both POV’s.

The dropout – 4 stars

The third book in ‘The good guys’ series and just like the other two books in this new adult book series I enjoyed this story very much. Jimmy was the perfect mix of a good guy with a bad boy look (with his tattoos and piercings) but with a gentle heart underneath and who also wasn’t afraid to fight to protect his loved ones. He’s just a swooning combination of things that I love in a guy. Mackenna was more cautious, not very social but she also had a gentle heart, only that heart has been hurt in the past so it’s more guarded. So Jimmy had to try very hard for her to trust him.

I loved the interaction between Mackenna and Jimmy, how Jimmy tried to get a reaction out of Mackenna, what he did to try to gain her trust. And the side characters in the story certainly created a few funny moments (Jimmy’s grandmother Beverly was something special). For the readers who have read the previous books in this series, they will see some familiar faces again but if you haven’t read them, don’t worry. You don’t have to read them to read this book.

The story is told from both POV’s. ‘Dropout’ is an easy to read new adult story with very little drama in it. It does have a hunky good guy in it and a withdrawn girl who is waiting for that one guy that can show her that love doesn’t have to hurt but can be something wonderful.

A Tucker wedding – 5 stars

This little novella story showed us Trucker and Angel’s special day, their wedding day. Although it’s a ‘short’ story the writer still managed to put a lot of emotions and fun in it. It was wonderful to not only see Trucker and Angel again but also some of the other second characters from the previous books.

This author knows exactly how to hit me in all my feels.

Trucker:
I absolutely love everything I have read so far from this author. Love her writing style. Sucks you right in. A safe book. And DOUBLE V! My fav.

Dancer:
I love this author more and more after each book I read. I love this book. Best friends finding each other again. And an H that never waivers. And he was so absolutely perfect with Ava

A Trucker Wedding:
I loved getting to catch up with this fun couple!!! They are so perfect.

Dropout:
I loved Jimmy from the very first page. I love how his favorite person was Ezra. And I absolutely loved how he treated his Grandma. He has the best personality. He was over the moon for Mack from the beginning and put in so much time to get her comfortable around him. And he made a huge sacrifice for her and her past.

Also. At the end of the book you can request A Trucker Baby! Absolutely beautiful and perfect!

Great collection! loved all the stories!

This is a great collection. I really enjoyed all 3 stories included and found them all easy to read and engage with. All of the male characters are just genuinely good guys throughout the story (like the series name) and I really enjoyed reading them. Individual reviews for each of the stories below.
Trucker 4.5 stars
This was a great story. It was easy to get fully engaged with the story and the characters. It flowed really well and while not a short story it felt like one as it was just so easy to read. I wasn’t exactly expecting how cute and sweet this story and these characters were. Both hero and heroine and virgins. Travis has always seemed to have bad luck with dates and he wants the first time to mean something when it happens. He is just one of the good guys and so when he sees Angel at truck stop and then walking down the side of the highway, attempting to hitchhike, he ends up picking her up because he doesn’t want something bad to happen to her. I loved her honesty and trusting nature and that Travis wanted to protect that. They had an immediate connection and they didn’t want to rush since they both really liked the other and could maybe see things going really well. They definitely had high sexual tension and chemistry and it was well done. I really enjoyed this story and can’t wait for the next one in the series!

Dancer 4.75 stars
I really enjoyed this one! It was cute and adorable and I loved watching Ellie and Colt find each other again. They just fit and work together so well. Best friends as kids to lovers. I loved how Colt wouldn't give up and he had no problem loving Ava as well. There was no judgement from Colt with how things went down and where Ellie ended up. Once he figured out who she was, the comfort and connection he felt with her made sense and he was happy they were back together. I loved watching them rekindle their friendship amidst starting a romantic relationship. I loved how Colt wanted to and did include Ava from the time he learned about her. He did not shy away from knowing what it meant and was happy to have Ava as part of the deal. This story was cute and well written and easy to fall into. I was engaged with the characters from beginning to end. The series name "The Good Guys" definitely fits the vibe of the story as Colt is just one of the good guys/men out there. I'm excited to see where the rest of the series goes.

Dropout 4.5 stars
I really enjoyed this one! It pulled me in from beginning to end and I loved that Jimmy knew he had made mistakes and was ready, willing and working at fixing them. He got a little carried away after he got dumped his first year at college and by the time he got his head back on straight and stopped partying and drinking so much and going to class, it was too late to bring his grades up and he failed. He is headed to his Grandma's for the summer to help her out and earn back some trust. He is happy to go to his Grandma's and ready to do so. Grandma Bev is a firecracker and she set the situation up since she knew her grandson could help/be good for her new next door neighbor. I really enjoyed both Mack and Jimmy. Mack has been through some really rough times and she has become a loner and shut herself off from most social interactions because of it. I loved watching Jimmy try and pull her out of her shell and get her to interact with him. Once they start clearing the air some, it helps and gives them a place to actually start getting to know each other. This story was sweet and adorable and I loved watching Jimmy show Mack the good side of relationship things and that he didn't hide the fact that he wanted more and wouldn't really do the friends with benefits thing. This story was easy to read and easy to engage with. I really liked it and am excited to see what comes next in the series.
Trucker’s wedding 4 stars
Great bonus story. Loved getting to see Travis and Angel get married!

TRUCKER

I hadn't read a Jamie Schlosser book before so when I saw this boxset I knew I had to get all over it!

What a great small town introduction to start to a new series I know I am going to have to devour!

Angel was so innocent and trusting, especially after the upbringing she'd had so it was like kismet at its finest when her path crossed with Travis'!

The title of this Boxset sums it all up!

Travis was the epitome of a nice guy!

But in this instance; he was a popular, sought after, sexy AF nice guy who was brought into Angels life for a reason!

What a great book to start a series full to the brim of characters with heart and depth you look for between the pages!

DANCER

I was wondering what was going to happen with Colton - the first book in the series lent itself to something happening with him so I couldn't wait to get into his story!

I was not disappointed!

Nothing makes my heart more full than a story about two people who were best friends as kids but for some reason or another lost touch only to reconnect when they're older.

Brielle and Colton had a connection that would melt your heart when they were little so a chance encounter was always going to be on the cards for this meant-to-be couple!

Another perfect addition to the Nice Guy Series - Colton's dedication to Brielle was heartwarming and I couldn't help but fall in love with these two!

DROPOUT

I wasn't as excited going into this edition in the Nice Guys Series because I didn't know much about these main two characters - there was barely a mention of them in the last two books so I was worried I wouldn't love them as much as I did the other two!!

HOW WRONG I WAS!!!!!!!

This book ended up being my most favourite of them all!

Jimmy had a tough exterior but was that character that you couldn't help but barrack for in his fight for Mackenna's heart and Mackenna was recovering from a traumatic past in the only way she knows how!

I adored these two from start to finish!

I think I finished this book the quickest - I was so lost in their push and pull as they both struggled to find their worth and prove their trust!

I loved these two so much and with the secondary characters all making an appearance this was the perfect way to finish out series!

Loved it!!!!

I loved them all!!!!!!

Trucker:
Simply lovely!
Trucker is my kind of book! Small town, blue collar and low angst. Travis and Angel have an instant connection when they first meet, they may be young and inexperienced, but they know a good thing when it’s in front of them!
Dancer:
Heartwarming!
Can you call it a second chance romance when the first chance was between 5-year-olds? I say yes! Colton and Brielle were childhood best friends who reconnect unexpectedly as adults. This is a wonderful story about finding love and peace.
Dropout:
Suspenseful!
Mack and Jimmy have been matched up by Jimmy’s hilarious grandmother, and they are exactly what the other needs. Jimmy is hoping to redeem himself in his family’s eyes, and Mack is looking for a safe place to heal. Both their pasts are hot on their heels, though!
This boxed set included a Trucker Wedding and Trucker Baby and this whole series is the best thing ever! I’m smitten with the Good Guys!

Enjoyed the series overall.

I enjoyed the series overall. My favorite in the series was, Dancer. I wish the characters were just a few years older, other than just turning 18 to 21 being the majority age group. Didn't feel like it was realistic for some of the story to have the characters falling so deeply for each other for lifetime commitments.

This is a review for A Trucker Wedding and A Trucker Baby.

A Trucker Wedding: I happened to accidentally stumble upon Jamie Schlosser last year, and Trucker was the first book by her that I read! I immediately fell in love with Travis (and I FLOVE it when guys are virgins in their story and are waiting for the right girl. *infinite swoon.*) Travis is just that good, wholesome guy with a heart of gold, and when he met his Angel, their love story started almost as instantly after they first met, but it was so organic, so real, that I *felt* them fall in love with one another. Their story brings us to their wedding day, and they are more in love than ever! Their wedding takes place a year after they met, and while everything seemed to be up in the air (A very creative flower drawing by our favorite little girl, missing wedding rings, and a surprise pregnancy, nothing seems to be going their way but it is totally THEM.) Ugh, I love this couple so much. And that scene where they were able to sneak a few minutes together before the ceremony left me all up in my feelings, as well as reading in Travis's POV when Angel walks down the isle. This story was so perfect!!

A Trucker Baby: this little novella picks up right after Angel had their baby (hi there, Everley!!) And her and Travis's instant bond with their newborn was magical to witness. Also how Travis wanted to go above and beyond to help Angel as much as possible, but with a newborn breastfeeding constantly, we see him struggle with feeling like being an equal parent and giving Angel the rest she deserves since she literally JUST pushed out a human bowling ball. I love how overprotective they both are, especially when Angel was worried that she didn't have the "mom gene." That scene where they both talked about how much they hated Everley being cuddled and smelling like another person's perfume cracked me up!!

These were both knockouts in my opinion, and I can't wait to see what Jamie does in Magic Man, another installment in the Good Guys universe!!

Trucker - An honestly good story
This story surprised me. The innocence between Angel and Travis made this falling in love for the first time book a must read. From beginning to end, I enjoyed watching these two characters come together. It is a heartwarming book. Can't wait to dive into the next one.

Dancer – Heartwarming Second Chance Romance
Best friends growing up together, Colton and Ellie lost their other half when Colton and his father move away. Life has happened and they both have had their ups and downs. When a chance encounter brings them together, Ellie knows it is Colton but he is unaware who she is. Sparks fly and the truth comes out leading them both to finally feel complete. But will the baggage from her past stop the relationship in its tracks? Or will Colton be the knight in shining armor she so desperately needed? I absolutely loved these characters and the storyline was filled with laughter and honest feelings. A great second book in the series.

Dropout - The best one in the series so far.
Spending time with his grandmother for the summer and get past failing out of his first year of college should help to center Jimmy and decide on what direction his future should go in. His grandmother's next door neighbor, Mackenna, who has her own cross to bear seems like the perfect distraction. What starts out as an annoyance moves to friendship and then into so much more. But can two broken people help put each other back together again? Will they both allow themselves to find happiness? With beautifully written characters and a storyline filled with a sense that you really can overcome your past this was a fabulous read.

A trucker wedding - Loved getting a glimpse of Travis and Angel again. They were destined for love and happiness and the wedding fits them to a tee.
