Book 5 in the Wylder Bluffs Fire Dept. series. Quick friends to lover story that was so sweet and so good. Loved Lukas and Linnea. The chemistry and attraction between them was really good. Loved the epilogue – it was so sweet.

Lukas Giaquinto is visiting the 5 and 6-year-olds in his best friend, Linney’s, classroom. After whatever guy hurt her this time, she’s having difficulty holding back tears, so, as a fireman, Lukas is the distraction so she can have some quiet time at her desk. He’s always ready with the fire safety talk.
When they see each other again, she is back with her loser boyfriend who embarrasses her and puts her down in front of his friend. Lukas is immediately striding over and offers to take her home. She had been watching another woman flirt with him and was upset with herself at wishing for something and then thinking “Ew, he’s my best friend – we couldn’t.” Lukas is also having what he feels are inappropriate thoughts about his best friend of 13 years. Neither of them will face their truths, because they think the other would never go along with it. When he takes her “home”, he realizes he took her to HIS home. He tried to tell her how wonderful she is, and how she lets those guys break her heart when they don’t deserve her. He can’t stop talking now because all he can think is that he wants to make her his. She looks in his eyes and asks if he meant what he had just said – and he kissed her.
For Lukas, he finally woke up to what was right in front of him this whole time – he loved Linney, he always had. For Linney, she was just glad she knew Lukas didn’t fall in love. Waking in his bed alone, she heard him talking in the kitchen. He was telling someone how much he loved her! She peeked around the corner and there was Lucas – talking to his adorable dog, Wyatt! She walked up to him and asked him about what concerned her . . . what about their friendship? His answer was amazing. “It pales in comparison to what we have now. I love you.” Was Linney ready to admit that she loved him too, and always had?
This story gives us a double-smile because it’s not just about a deep, loving friendship, but also about a heartfelt, lasting love. All it will take is Linney realizing this wasn’t just a dream. Stop, Drop and Roll.............into each other!!!
Lukas is a man that does not believe in love, actually he has never had any hope in love at all. But he does love his best friend Linnea. Linnea has lost all hope in love as she has not had any luck in it. She has lost time, savings and been betrayed by those that she has loved. But through it all Lukas has always been there for her no matter what.
This latest betrayal may be one too many though as Lukas it seems is at his breaking point with things and at the same time is coming to realize that maybe he does believe in love and that it has been Linnea he has always been in love with. At the same time as Linnea is trying to get over the latest breakup and then a bad outing with her ex and his friend along with Lukas, she is beginning to realize that it really has been Lukas all along. But neither of them has wanted to step over that line as if things did not work out then they would lose what they already have with each other. But maybe is the time to step over that line and get everything they both really want and more.
This is a fast-paced, fun, emotional, romantic and hot and steamy short story. The story line is nicely developed and the characters are well written and very likeable, well all except her ex and his friend the "double douches". I enjoyed this book and recommend it and the others in this series.

The only one who comes close is Lukas. But this is forbidden, isn’t it? He is her best friend. Lukas is a fireman with bulging muscles. He is protective of her. He feels compelled to keep her safe coming to her aid, offering aid, with every breakup. Each time he helps her pick up the pieces of his broken heart the protective shield around his own heart cracks. LOVE the Epilogue! Okay this book is not about who narrated the Epilogue, but it was awesome!!!! This story is about Linnea, Lukas and his dog, Wyatt. Linnea and Lukas have been best friends since forever, but they have never shared their feeling toward each other in fear of ruining a good friendship. He is always her savior, not only because he is a firefighter, but because he is there when she has breakups. The story starts with one and he is at the school, where she teaches, to give her class a seminar while she gets herself together. He knows her too well. On a night out having drinks at a place that allows you to bring your dog, her date/boyfriend again and his date bring in his monster of a dog and doesn’t put him on a leash. She gets so upset that she tells him something and her boyfriend gets defensive and starts to yell at her and who is in to intervene none other than Lukas. The story takes off from there. It is a short story, but a very loving one. Again, the ending is sweet because it involves them both, but described by Wyatt….

Not me that's for sure. Samantha is a nurse in the ER when an emergency comes through. The injured man catches her eye. Samantha sees Alexander the man of her dreams for years. Alexander is taken back by her as well. Once he finds her at her fathers home, he confessed quickly he's taken by her. Within days they confess their love. Once married their life has never been better. He takes her home & lets her know his true feelings. She has the same feelings. Once feelings start flowing things change in the best way possible.

This is another fast fun read in the lives of the men of the Wylder Bluffs Fire Department and this time we are getting Lukas's story
he has always loved his best friend Linnea and is always there to pick up the pieces when she is either dumped or treated bad by her latest boyfriend He isn't willing to share his feeling because he doesn't want to lose her friendship Once again she is been treated badly by the latest man in her life and to give her a chance to recuperate he is taking her class through a fire safety presentation later that night he is at a bar that allows dogs ans she is there with her latest boyfriend and his friend humiliated by how the friends dog is behaving been aggressive to everyone she says something and her boyfriend turns on her This time Lukas cannot walk away and he defends her and in doing so allows his feelings to show imagine his surprise when he discovers she g\feels exactly the same way Can they have a future together You will have to read to see

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
Lukas is book five in the ‘’Wylder bluff fire dept.’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Lukas and Linnea have been best friends for years. They have never crossed the line despite being attracted to one another. Linnea is very unlucky in love but when she realises her feelings for Lukas, will they give it a go?
The chemistry between Lukas and Linnea is clear to see and I liked them together. I also liked them as friends.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

Undercover love, Lukas has had for Linnea since they were teens. Lukas has always come to our rescue no matter what. She was just too blind to see. No matter what heartache, crappy boyfriend, bad dates or her just learning not to say OK but no he’s been there. This last episode she asked him to take her home. Where does he take her to his house. They’ve been friends for so long, he considers her home in his home. Linnea Has always believed that Lucas did not believe in love. I’m not so sure about that. Can he prove to her that he loves her. Has loved her since they became best friends and before that? Let’s find out. No cliffhanger.

A very sweet friends to lovers short story. Lukas and Linnea been best friends since middle school. Lukas is always there for Linnea, helping her through bad break ups with crappy dudes. Even though Lukas doesn't believe in love (so he thinks) he gives Linnea all types of advice about love. One night after a really awful episode with an ex, Lukas finally realizes whats been in front of him all along...the love of his life. He tells Linnea how he feels but Linnea is uncertain but after some steamy intimate moments, she begins to believe that he means it and since she has Lukas in her life she know she is worthy of love. .I really loved the epilogue...that was an unexpected treat.

A very well-written book 5 in the Wylder Bluffs Fire Dept. series is a steamy, insta-love, happily-ever-after, romance with very amazing characters. This is a short stand-alone book that is funny, enjoyable, interesting, twists/turns, and romance. This is an OTT fast read about friends to lovers. Lukas and Linnea have been best friends for years and always have each other’s back. This book is short but it flows nicely. The chemistry is very intense between the main characters. There is no cliffhanger and a must read story.

Lukas has been Linnea's friend for the last 13 years. He's been there to pull her up every time she gets knocked down. The last time she was knocked Luk took Linny home to his house and he's ranting and raving how now one appreciates her like he does. The the fun starts happening and they both get knock when they find that not only are they best friends but they are also get lovers. Wyatt, the dog, is happy as a lark that the two human idiots are together. Wyatt keeps trying to tell Lennea something but you'll have to read the story to find out what. Lukas is a firefighter who doesn't believe in love. It is odd that he doesn't believe in love because he will do anything for his best friend, Linnea (Linny). They have known each other for 13 years. They will do anything for the other one. However, neither have realized what that means. I love the epilogue at the end of this one. Wyatt is such an adorable dog. The characters are stubborn and clueless but hopefully they will figure it out in the end. I don't like Daryl or Glen.

I really loved Lukas book 5 in the Wylder Bluffs Fire Department Series by Tarin Lex. I think it's my favorite in the series so far. Linnea and Lukas have been best friends since they were teenagers. Lukas is there for Linnea after every breakup with a shoulder to lean on. But then after her latest breakup, Lukas and Linnea both begin to see each other in a new light. If you enjoy sweet and steamy friends to lovers romance, you will love Lukas!

A short, quick, well written, engaging, passionate read! The story-line is entertaining, consistent, emotionally deep, and interesting. The characters are likeable (love the dog); the chemistry between them is hot. Definitely recommended!

A wonderful friends-to-lovers story. Lukas and Linnea are lifelong friends - it’s a wonder that they ever crossed the friendship line. The epilogue is sweet and enchanting. Haven’t read one I’ve enjoyed more!
