One fake marriage.
One big disaster.

Everything about Dylan melts me.
He’s more than that ripped chest… those strong arms.
The best thing about him is his daughter.
The daughter that I babysit.
He shares Maisie with his ex-wife.
But I see the concern in his eyes.
He wants his daughter to be loved, to be safe.
…and he needs my help.
A fake marriage with me would win him the custody battle.
The only hiccup?
I let him take my V-card and get me pregnant.
I shouldn’t have kept it a secret.
Now, I have a baby and divorce papers on the way.
After all, our relationship was always fake…
Or was it?

A full-length second chance baby romance featuring a very hot single dad who’ll do anything for his daughter. A very sweet and emotional HEA and absolutely no cliff-hanger! ‘So Wrong’ is a part of the Heart of Hope series but stands alone. Books do not have to be read in order.

So wrong. Wow, talk about the perfect title. The hero is despicable. He uses/marries the besotted sweet baby sitter to keep his ex from getting sole custody of his daughter, treats her like a blow up doll, then pitches a fit when she voices an opinion on his daughter.

He’s furious she’s kept her pregnancy secret because like all women she’s out to get this precious little snowflake and she’s an evil witch. Umm, she kept the pregnancy secret for all of three days. Somehow, he manages to wrangle an apology…FROM HER!!!!!! Just lay down and die, why don’t you, little doormat!

This guy treated the heroine like crap and she still loved him. He was so awful that his last chapter of winning her back was was too much too late. As for heroine what does it say about her that she does so much for this guy and yet he treats her like crap through the entire book but then he makes one tiny little gesture and she just forgives him?! Hated him and honestly she was pathetic and too desperate for him.

This is the 3rd book in the Too Bad It’s Fake series and it was very enjoyable. This is a second chance/fake relationship story and I am all for it. Love fake relationships because it is always so fun watching the characters fall in love even though they try to fight it because it isn’t “real”. Dylan and Tessa were a good couple and loved them together.

I saw a review of this earlier this week and thought it sounded like a candidate for my “how bad can it be?” list. Turns out I’d already read it. A quick skim, and yep, not good.

MOC to help him keep custody of his little girl. Turns into an almost real marriage, with a real pregnancy. And, through it all he’s an @$$ and she’s apologizing.

Ajme Williams has written a book that has the main characters dealing with their emotions towards each other. Tessa is going to school to be a teacher. She is a teacher's assistant and Maisie is in her class. She also lives next door to Maisie and her dad Dylan so Tessa takes Maisie to school in the mornings and watches her in the afternoons until Dylan gets home. Tessa and Dylan have feelings for each other but Dylan will not move forward with his. Dylan's ex-wife comes back and she is married to Leo and she now wants full custody of Maisie. Dylan comes up with a plan for a fake marriage and he talks to Tessa about it and she agrees. Things go good for them for a while until she said something that he did not like. He tells her that anything concerning the custody case is his decision and he can do without her insight and interference. This hurts her so she steps away from him. Things become worse when she finds out she is pregnant and doesn't tell him and he finds out from a message on the answering machine. He calls her and they have an argument over the phone and he tells her he is done and she can stay with her parents. When the custody case goes back to court Tessa is there and the things she found out about Veronica and Leo come out and it helps Dylan to keep full custody of Maisie but he has his lawyer server her with legal papers with his rights as the baby fathers. After that, she can't go back into court so she leaves. Dylan's lawyer goes back in and Dylan asks about Tessa and he said that she wasn't feeling well so she left, he also tells him that the information about Veronica and Leo was given to him by Tessa and he gives Dylan a hard time for the way he has treated her since he found out about the pregnancy. Tessa goes back to Dylan's and gets her stuff but before she can get out of the car Maisie is coming from next door and saying "you're home, I've been waiting for you". Tessa's friend Corrine said to her that since she was back, Tessa stops her and said that she can't stay. As Corrine leads her away Maisie said to Tessa "Can you come too." Tessa tells he that she is sorry, but she can't. Maisie asks "Don't you want to be with us anymore:? Tessa tells her that she wants to be with them more than anything but right then she couldn't. She tells Maisie that she loves her and for her never to forget that. Tessa goes into the house and she gets some of her stuff and leaves and heads back to her parent's house. As soon as she gets to her parent's house and gets inside, her mom knows something is wrong and she asks " what is wrong"? Tessa ends up telling her mom everything except the marriage being fake. Her mom tells her that she needs to talk to Dylan and tell him everything including how she feels. She tells her mom she may call him after the sonogram the next week. Tessa is at the doctor's for her sonogram and filling out paperwork and Dylan walks in, she thanks him for coming but acts a little chilly towards him. After the appointment, she and Dylan are ready to leave and she tells him everything that is on her mind and how she really feels about him then leaves him there.
Will Tessa get past her feelings for Dylan and move on with her life?
Can Dylan get over his mistrust of others and let Tessa in his life?
This was a wonderful book to read and I would recommend it to anyone.

This is the 3rd book in the series but it can be read as a stand-alone. Tessa has fallen for Dylan and his sweet daughter. That is why she agrees to help him with his custody battle and marry him, but it isn’t for real. Then sparks fly and she ends up pregnant. Will Dylan walk away from his new child and her? Lots of drama, steam and emotion. Great characters with an entertaining story with plenty of drama and suspense. I really liked it.

The story was pretty good and that’s why I gave it 3 stars. It would have been 4 stars but I didn’t like neither the hero or heroine.Dylan was selfish and arrogant. Tessa our her life on hold to help him because she loved him yet he tried her like crap every time she voiced her opinion. He discounted her and dismissed her over and over when he didn’t like what Tessa had to say about Veronica and Maise. I didn’t care for him at all. Tessa was an need emotional mess which was surprising considering how strong her parents marriage was. She grew up with great role models for how to have self worth and a emotionally healthy marriage. She was so weak by constantly Taligent Dylan’s talking Dian to her and telling her to mind her own business when it came to decisions about his daughter Maise. All she did was cry and got her feels hurt but she never left him. So pathetic. I like Ajme’s books but this one annoyed me. Oh well you can’t love them all so I’m still going to read her books. Until next time y’all happy reading.

So Wrong By Ajme Williams

Dylan Hyatt is the owner of very successful chain of gyms and real estate investments. He is a divorced single father to a beautiful five year old daughter named Maisie. She is his whole world since her mother walked out of her life.
Tessa Bremer is a twenty-three year old student teacher working towards getting her masters in teaching. She lives next door to Dylan and Maisie. She teaches in Maisie kindergarten classroom and is her babysitter as well. She has formed quite a crush on Dylan in the ten months she has been watching his daughter and truly loves his daughter. So when they are left alone she goes all out and proposition him to take her virginity. Only problem things gets weird after and their friendship becomes awkward. Then his ex-wife gets married and sues him for full custody. He will do anything to keep and protect his daughter even ask Tessa to marry him if it helps his custody case. She agrees to the "fake marriage" plans because she deep down would love to really have a family with them. What she didn't count on was a baby, divorce papers, and a shattered heart.
I must say I loved how loving and devoted Dylan was to his daughter. I absolutely hated the way he treated Tessa the yo-yoing with her feelings the mixed messages. Then what he did when he found out about the baby UNBELIEVABLE!!!! It's a good thing she is so forgiving. I have to say kudos to the lawyer because he said what I wanted to say except I would of said even more. So Wrong will stir up array of emotions as you navigate through the complicated journey of Tessa and Dylan as they find love, family and happiness.

I received an ARC from the author through Booksprout for my honest review.

So Wrong was the third book in the Heart of Hope Box set which included the first four books in the series. There was also an excerpt from the fifth book, Eight Long Years, which only whet my appetite for more. All the books had some steaminess to them but it added to the story. All were second chance romances but under different circumstances and set in different locations. My emotions were engaged throughout as I cried, laughed and even got angry at some of the character's actions and attitudes. The lack of communication along with the stress of jobs, careers, other pressures, family and friends played a part in all the stories. The books all had nice closure after many twists and turns along with their happily ever after. Ms. Williams is an author whose books I've enjoyed and I keep coming back for more. I enjoyed all the books and below is a brief review of each one.

So Wrong has Dylan, his daughter, Maisie and her babysitter, Tessa, front and center. Tessa was like a part of their family though she really wasn't even if she sometimes stayed to have dinner with them. If fantasies could come true, would they? Dylan's ex-wife was a piece of work and I had no use for her. Her actions were selfish and centered around only herself and what she wanted. The story was sometimes choppy due to the misunderstandings between Dylan and Tessa but Tessa always had Dylan and Maisie's best interest at heart. Could Dylan say the same about his words and actions? The ending was sweet and the epilogue which takes place one year later was depicted nicely. I loved the way the happily ever after played out.

Better than your average fake marriage story with heart and lots of steam…
Tessa Bremer is student teaching and in her next to last year of graduate school getting her Master’s in Teaching. On the side she has a babysitting job for one of the children in her kindergarten class, Maisie. She is adorable and so is her father, the always attentive, Dylan Hyatt. Dylan dotes on Maisie b/c his homelife growing up was not good, forget great. His mother’s many boyfriends/husbands either ignored him or beat him. His whole drive is to make a great home for Maisie and himself.
Tessa 23yo and a virgin has been working for Dylan for about 10 months and has developed quite the crush. She’s not aware that Dylan 29yo but miles apart in life experiences has a bit of a crush on her. Doesn’t matter though b/c he’s not prepared to share his life beyond Maisie, his lusty fantasies about Tessa aside. End of Story. That’s what he thinks. When his ex-wife, Veronica decides she wants to be in Maisie’s life after deserting both of them years before, what will Dylan do? Fake marriage, of course!
At first, I thought this was going to be your typical fake marriage story but Ms. Williams did a really good job roping me in. I read straight through. There were sensitive moments, angry moments, sad moments and a wonderful HEA. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through Booksprout and it comes highly recommended for readers who like an actual story with their steam.

Tessa and Dylan’s story will take a hold of your heart and won’t let go. Dylan is a single dad to sweet Maisie. Tessa is finishing college and doing her student teaching where Maisie goes to school. Dylan hires Tessa to keep Maisie after school and to be her nanny after his wife left him to pursue a career in modeling several years prior. Tessa has fallen in love with both Dylan and Maisie, so when his ex-shows up out of the blue and decides she wants custody of Maisie Dylan asks Tessa to be his fake wife so that he will be able to keep full custody of his little girl. Dylan has made his feelings known that he will never love again nor does he want any more children. What will happen when they begin this fake marriage? Will he soon realize he has feelings for Tessa?
Ajme Williams has written a story that will take hold of your heart and not let go! This book is very well written and characters and the feelings they share for one another have you feeling all the emotions they are feeling. Tessa’s love for both Maisie and Dylan was so touching and I loved how Dylan was such a loving and good father to Maisie. The chemistry that flows between Dylan and Tessa in off the charts. Thank you Ajme for sharing Tessa and Dylan’s story it was beautifully written and touched my heart, definitely worth all 5 stars and then some.

Six years isn't much when both parties are adults.

Dylan Hyaat owns a chain of gyms. He has full custody of his young daughter Maisie. Dylan’s ex-wife, Veronica, is a model who did a number on him when she left him and his daughter to pursue a modeling career.

Tessa Bremer is Maisie’s kindergarten teacher. She is working on her Masters in teaching. She lives next door to Dylan in a rental property with two other friends. Tessa is also Maisie’s regular babysitter, taking Maisie to and from school and taking care of her after school while Dylan works.

Dylan and Tessa fight their attraction to one another, until one unforgettable episode when things get hot! Determined to never again act on their mutual desires, Dylan pushes Tessa away.

Fate is not done with the couple yet. Veronica marries Leo Baskin, one of the wealthy one-percenters, and goes for primary custody of Maisie.

What’s a beleaguered single father going to do? He and Tessa enter into a marriage to increase his chances of keeping his daughter.

Read to find out what happens to this dynamic couple fighting to keep their hands off each other, even as they are sharing a bed.

This story is for mature audiences only.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Tessa and Dylan. Dylan has always had a Dylan and Maisie mentality he doesn't need another woman that will come into his daughters life and leave her again like her mother did. There is something that definitely gets his motor going though when he looks at his neighbor/babysitter next door Tessa. He knows there can be nothing between them but he does fantasize that things were different. When his ex-wife decides to fight him for full custody with her new husband he know he needs help and he needs it now. Tessa can't believe that anyone woman would want anything but Dylan but Vanessa sure proved that isn't true. She want just one thing from him and that is him but he won't even consider the idea until he need help. Can these two find something they never knew they wanted or will this fake marriage destroy them both forever?

This is another amazing story by this author. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you taking a journey with these characters unlike you every imagined. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

This Doesn't Work

I am a huge sucker for the fake fiance/wife and secret baby tropes. This book, while coherent for the most part, isn't great at either trope. The main reason for this is the alternating POV between the protagonists. While we see that the herione is in love and actively working to help her man and his child, the hero is CONSTANTLY thinking just really awful things about her and refusing to listen to her to the point that I wasn't sure how there would be a traditional ending because he was still emotionally resenting her for one decision. I feel like this book is trying to be a more classic, 80s and 90s style Harlequin Presents with a doormat female lead who kinda lets the man walk all over her because he resents her for whatever reason. But that style of book works because you don't actively know what the hero is thinking, making the final revelation of love and acceptance a satisfying conclusion. Here, you just get 95% of a book with a male character who is actively a huge jerk whose thoughts match his actions before the author remembers romance novels are supposed to end up with people together in love. I spent the whole book really disliking both characters for putting up with each other.

ONE UNFORGETTABLE JOURNEY!!!
Fantastic! Ajme brings this baby on home with all the acumen, imagination, passionate and unique insight, delivering this compelling storyline and interwoven plot, propelling this gem to life spectacularly. The dynamics and presentation in layer upon layer that you peel back with each page your drawn into this web so deep until everything else ceases to exist. A tumultuous whirlwind of unpredictable circumstances and surprising mishaps, catapults those churning emotions into play, hooks you from the start and reels you in for the duration. Sparks fly as drama, turmoil, intrigue, underlying currents and mounting suspense, along with a boatload of secrets and perplexing situations, you have one block busting, chart topping masterpiece. Anarchy, escapades and havoc run amuck, booting this gem into a tempest, bursting it into a hissy with a prize winning culmination. The characters are authentic and genuine with depth and qualities that blend into amazing personalities. The scenes are so graphically detailed and descriptive it's like being transported to ground zero with them. Fantastic job Ajme, thanks for sharing this little jewel with us.

Complex and very emotional!! This is not the run-of-the-mill fake marriage scenario that seems to be churned out by authors so much as of late. This has two individuals who are only six years apart in age, so that is refreshing in itself. There is no big power struggle or conflict between Tessa and Dylan. Yes, there is the ex-wife, Veronica who after having abandoned them a number of years ago, has decided to make a grab for custody of their daughter, Maise. Which is what necessitates the fake marriage between Dylan and Tessa. The fake marriage does not stay fake for long, at least not physically anyway, and Tessa becomes pregnant. What happens next?? You will have to read this to find out how everything works out. There is a wide range of emotions that go on throughout the entire book and the characters have such depth that I felt like I was experiencing every bit of it right along with them! Very well done, Scarlett! I look forward to more from you in the future.

Tessa is a hardworking teaching assistant who is going to school to become a teacher. She lives next door to handsome single father Dylan and watches his adorable daughter Maisie outside of school hours. Dylan is trying his best to hold on to his sole custody of Maisie against her never present self-involved movie star mother who has suddenly popped back into their lives newly married to a rich man and seeking to take Maisie away from Dylan. Dylan and Tessa agree to a marriage of convenience to help with the custody battle, but fate has other plans in store for them. Tessa trades her virginity for an unexpected pregnancy and Dylan shows his mistrustful and suspicious nature as a result.
Will Tessa and Dylan’s plan work to keep Maisie in their lives? Will love conquer all and give this little family the happily ever after that they so desperately need? This book is definitely worth reading to find out.

When I first began reading this story, I loved how great a father Dylan was to Maisie and how he put her first above all else. Tessa was also likable with her nurturing personality. They are attracted to one another, but Dylan has many scars from letting people in to his heart. The threat of losing custody of Maisie has Dylan and Tessa embarking in a fake marriage. As the story progressed, I hated how Dylan treated Tessa and how she took it and kept going back for more. But as I thought about his history as a child and then as a spouse, it was evident that emotional scars run deep, so much deeper than physical ones. Tessa being the nurturing, caring person, let him, but was so glad when she came to the point of putting her heart first. These two do get their HEA, but not before they both come to terms with the obstacles they each have to overcome. Thank goodness too, because I would have hated that my tears were for naught.

That story was truly terrible. The main male character Dylan (who doesn't deserve the title "hero" in my opinion) was an ass. He uses and emotionally toys with his sweet, innocent babysitter who is obviously infatuated by him.

Nothing Tessa does is right or good enough for him. He changes his mind about what he wants every five minutes and yet she still forgives him and comes back to help him out. Sadly she's a total doormat. He even blames her for keeping secrets and plans to divorce her when she had barely found out the information herself, even though she married him to do him a favour.

Gah! All this drama was painful to read in a story that should have been flirty and fun. I don't know how it's possible to mess up a marriage of convenience/fake relationship/nanny and single dad story. It should be a slam dunk with that set up. All this was was a seemingly never-ending series of love scenes interspersed with confusing and irritating emotional flip-flopping. By the epilogue I think everyone could use some therapy.

This book contains multiple steamy love scenes.

I found the book "So Wrong" to be a very engaging read where Ms. Williams allowed the man, Dylan, to be a wounded, vulnerable, and overly mistrusting (rightly so) whereas Tessa, although naive sexually seemed to quite confident in what she wanted and rarely hesitated to grasp it by the "horn" and not let go. Dylan struggles with emotional scars from his childhood, which played a large part in why he married. Sadly, because Dylan's trust is shattered, his divorce ensues, but it isn't until he battles for full custody of his daughter that he sees how truly underhanded and unscrupulous his ex-wife can be. I am sure, as I did, you will experience a gambit of emotions from, sadness, anger, frustration, and happiness as Dylan fights to keep his daughter, navigates around his ex-wife's constant deceptions conquering his mistrust of everything and, lousy timing as lust turns slowly develops into love.

I liked reading So Wrong by Ajme Williams because it was such a great and very steamy book!! Dylan was a single dad to Maisie and Tessa was her nanny. Dylan and Tessa liked each other but that was as far as Dylan was going to go. He had a very bad childhood and he was divorced from ex wife Victoria who was a model and only recently back in Maisie's life. But his ex wanted full custody and in order to not have that happen, he had to fake marry Tessa. But their heat and passion for each other was not fake and as a result Tessa became pregnant. That made for a lot of complications. Tessa loved Dylan and Maisie so much but Dylan didn't want another failure at marriage. Every turn, Dylan would say he was no good for Tessa and she could do better, but she loved him. I was hoping that they would stay together and become a family. I recommend reading this book. It has some very passionate and very steamy scenes in it., but it is worth the read.

When Dylan’s ex-wife decides to go for full custody of Maisie, he needs a plan to stop her and asks Tessa to marry him for purposes of fighting for custody. The marriage isn’t “real”, but Tessa has strong feelings for them both so she agrees. When she gets pregnant, Dylan has a surprise reaction and wants to end the marriage. Is it all over for them? How can the man who shows so much love to his daughter be so cruel to Tessa? Is his heart permanently shut off to love?

This was a well-written book that aroused all of the emotions of the reader and brought the story alive. Grab your copy and see where all of this will lead them.

I love this story of Teresa and Dylan with cute and adorable Massie. Dylan is a single father raising his daughter alone after his ex Veronica left them. Tessa student (getting her masters) /teacher to Massie and babysitter for the past 10mos also v-card carrier. During those 10mos she had developed a crush on Dylan and unbeknownst to her he has a crush on her too. One day Veronica reappears wanting to be a part of Massies life. Dylan needing to protect his daughter asks Tessa to be his Fake wife. Suddenly Tessa finds herself pregnant and divorce papers in hand......to find out what happens you'll need to grab your copy. I absolutely loved this story. The storyline was so interesting that it completely captivated me and was so intriguing that I couldn’t stop reading it until I finished with the very last word. I definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for an amazing book. Enjoy happy reading 📚

4.5 stars.

I love the flow of the story, it was fun to read and easy to delve in. It really made my heart clench especially when Dylan was acting like a fucking dick towards the woman who did nothing but love and take care of him and her daughter. But I can't also resent him for feeling betrayed after the decision that Tessa made (which I can't also blame her for doing so) because of the rough childhood that he had. Anyway, I want to commend the author for this incredible, steamy, and easy to delve in book. It's so easy to fall in love with the characters, especially with Tessa and Maisie, and sure I did love Dylan during the first few chapters despite all the push and pulls, he made me want to scream "Fuck you" on the few chapters left but I'm glad he got the balls to take Tessa back and apologize for being a fucking dick as he should be. Thank you for making my heart ache, I somehow needed that to make sure it's still here.
