Two stories in one book. Both stories contain most of the same characters. I liked the second story much better than the first; the ending of the first story was really cheesy. In both stories, Byrony and Kelly, begin their stories as pregnant and abandoned by the men who contributed to their pregnancies.
In the first story with Byrony, her lover abandons her and then finds himself in accident and develops amnesia just for the period of time of when they were together. This story is a bit slow to get going and doesn't become emotionally heart-wrenching until he remembers his abandonment of her.
In the second story between Ryan and Kelly, Ryan pushes Kelly out of his life when his brother Jarrod tells Ryan that Kelly had an affair with him (Jarrod). Ryan thinks that Kelly has been unfaithful even though she hasn't. This story is highly unbalanced for this couple. Not only does Kelly have an unhealthy pregnancy from working as a waitress at a diner 12 hours a day, but she lacks any kind of social support network. How is it that Ryan has three best friends and his mother and brother to support him while Kelly has neither friends or family to support her?
Maya Banks usually does a pretty good job at pulling at your heartstrings for her characters, and that's why I gave the book 4 stars. Otherwise, I would have lowered my rating for the cheesy ending in the first story, and her lovemaking scenes are quite tepid compared to many of her other novels.

Serie carina che consiglio a chi vuole una lettura leggera e non impegnativa.
Strausato l'iter donna ingenua e uomo vissuto come d'altra parte le dinamiche. Solo una storia si scosta leggermente e infatti è quella che ho preferito.
Peccato per la traduzione approssimativa e gli errori presenti.
Una rilettura non farebbe male per correggere il testo.

1 - ENTICED BY HIS FORGOTTEN LOVER
A user and snake best fits the hero.
Okay enough read and quite convoluted due to amnesia but must say Rafe was one of the few heroes I didn't like even by the end.
Goes the normal format of this type of story.
I have the older version, both paperback and ebook.
2 - WANTED BY HER LOST LOVE
Good emotional read with family betrayal and the mother from hell.
This story sort of starts about the third way point and though we go back to the beginning you do have to wonder for a while.
I really applauded Kelly when she told them all to kiss her ass in the restaurant and just walked out.
Ryan of course, does not do nearly enough grovelling to earn either my forgiveness or respect.
Read and reviewed previously but reviews missing.
Don’t mind rereading this one even though it has a similar story as THE TYCOON’S PREGNANT MISTRESS.
3 - TEMPTED BY HER INNOCENT KISS
Same format as first two but with one of the other men from book one and a new woman.
Ashley is a bit of an air head but you cannot help but like her. Trying to change herself into what she thinks Devon wants is not smart but she is quite young.
Devon basically is forced to marry Ashley as part of a merger deal.
Being the emotionally lacking man he is, this solves a few problems for him. Namely, it was time to find the right wife and have an heir anyway.
Devon then acts the horses backside, dictating how she should act.
These two are robotic until Ashely finds herself pregnant and she grows a backbone and leaves him.
Then he makes the big gesture to show how much he loves her.
Enjoyable but not memorable as I have read this as both paperback and ebook before.
Good enough for a coffee time read but would have loved conniving daddy to at least get a good whack from his wife.

4 - UNDONE BY HER TENDER TOUCH
We finally get Cams story but I came away still not knowing what had happened in his past apart from a quick telling. No depth or explanation is given.
Now while I excuse Cam for being downright nasty, I feel Pippa pushed too hard and too fast and was lacking empathy for Cams real distress. Should he have gotten over the past, yes. But people deal with grief in different ways and over different time frames. Not at someone else’s wishes.
Pippa went into their one night of scratching an itch fully knowing how Cam felt. She didn’t need to try to force him to deal with his past the way she did.
When something terrible does happen, this just pushes Cam deeper into his cycle of fear.
Cannot say I liked this book but needed to read it to finished the series.

This book was ok - 4 business tycoons who all get their women preggers around the same time.
Each one of these the guy always takes really tender care of their pregnant women so that is nice - even if they haven’t figured out they are in love yet.
Enticed
Byrony and Rafael - he tricks her into selling him land by pretending to fall in love with her - he gets amnesia and in the meantime she is pregnant and he needs to figure out what he has missed as she claims he was in love with her - I liked this story the least … so much repeat of the same old things
Wanted
Ryan and Kelly - his brother tries to rape her he doesn’t believe her and kicks her out not knowing she is pregnant- he was an ass not believing her and at one point she apologizes to him saying they both did things - um nope - she had nothing to feel bad about so this was lame. He does search for her after and is still in love with her but he still thinks she willingly had sex with his brother and maybe others…
Tempted
Ashley and Devon - he married her to get her father’s company - she thinks it’s real until she finds out the truth on her wedding night. She has bad migraines. He does some big groveling with dogs and buying a home in the country.

Cam and Pippa
I liked this one the best though her response to his wife/child dying was unfeeling. He can’t love again having loved before and suffered tragedy but he wants to care for her and child. The new baby is a boy like the one he lost and he has a very hard time coming to grips with this.

In the first, Rafe gets into a bad airplane crash but his most serious injury seems to be to his memory. Bryony still loves him but can't allow for the resort he wants to build. He promised to only use the land for personal use, was he telling the truth or lying to get what he wants. The the second, Ryan doesn't trust his family but believe them over the woman that he supposedly loves enough to marry. While Kelly begs him to believe her and is thrown away like a used tissue.

Qui dit très court roman, dit histoires rapides. Même si c’est un point noté dans de nombreux commentaires, il faut avouer que c’était évident aux vues du nombre de pages. Pour avoir déjà lu du Maya Banks, effectivement ce n’est pas une histoire qui restera gravé dans notre mémoire.
Par contre, cela reste un livre facile et agréable à lire. Même en se doutant de la suite des événements, nous avons envie de poursuivre notre lecture et de connaître l’histoire des prochains tomes.
Mon coup de cœur revient à Ryan et Kelly même si j’ai beaucoup aimé apprendre à connaître Cam et son passé.
Par contre, cela reste un livre facile et agréable à lire. Même en se doutant de la suite des événements, nous avons envie de poursuivre notre lecture et de connaître l’histoire des prochains tomes.
Mon coup de cœur revient à Ryan et Kelly même si j’ai beaucoup aimé apprendre à connaître Cam et son passé.
