Still struggling to unite two worlds, fledgling god Mochizuki Touya carries on with his work. The mutants continue to attack the Reverse World, hungrily devouring the souls of the fallen in service of Yula and the wicked god. And so, it's up to Touya to teach another set of off-worlders how to pilot the Frame Gears! Hopefully he's not too late... Elsewhere, a mystery unfurls regarding a long-lost prince of a devastated kingdom... Perhaps the Mage-King of Isengard has the answers Touya seeks? Chaos runs rampant, tearing open the veil upon a story of swords, sorcery, and heterochromia!
The book basically contains two stories: one set in the reverse world where Touya kind of accidentally runs across strife between three kingdoms while dealing with the mutant phrase and another when setting up the rookie adventure academy. The story is a fairly entertaining easy to digest read, but things are getting a bit repetitive and as always the MC comes across as fairly childish at times in his dealings with the villains.
I enjoyed the concept of not destroying a family by revealing a secret. I liked the fact there's a lot of crazy people obsessed with technology. Touya and his finances are doing good in which every direction they go. The adventure exam was good because it showed several things one needs to be prepared for it.
Great read. First you start thinking the writer can't possibly come up with anything interesting anymore, but low and behold bam there you have it interesting and fun. Look forward to the next volume.
I really enjoyed this book the battles were really cool, the plot twists in this one had me the edge of my seat. I enjoyed the side story of one his ninjas and setting up that school that's pretty cool.
Another par for the course volume of smartphone with our protagonist engaging in his usual meddlesome fashion to save a kingdom or two. The first half of the volume deals with yet more intrigue in the Reverse World, now that Touya's basically de-facto united his original world, with a steampunk-ish twist involving lost technology and a missing prince.
The second half is bit different, as for the first time, the main PoV character isn't Touya but one of his employees, the ninja Tsubaki, that's assigned to do some undercover work for him. It's a fun read and does provide new perspectives of the setting, but ultimately the spotlight is still squarely on our overpowered duke.
So really, this is still the usual light read and for those who already love it, this is more of the same and for those who don't, well tough luck!
I been reading this series non stop every time a new book comes out this was the first light novel series I've read and I will continue til its over thank you Pagoda Fuyuhara
Another wonderful volume. I really enjoy the characters of this series. Homura is my favorite out of the Intel squad, so I was happy to see her get some spotlight
