A delightful story about two people who needed each other but just did not know it until they met and spent time together! Constantine was not a lady use to negotiating the social niceties. She had been living with her father quietly and when she did go into society, it seemed she made one blunder after another. Outspoken and clumsy, she became known as Lady Disaster. Seth, Lord Guilliver was a known rake. He had no love from his family growing up so he never expected finding it. But when he and Constantine meet at a house party the sparks ignite! This was a delightful story seeing these two come together and make their journey (yes spicy journey) to a wonderful ending!
HIS PERFECT HELLION is the second book in the A Rogue’s Kiss series. I have no doubt that each book in the series will stand on its own, since I was not missing anything in not having read the first.
I loved the chemistry between the rake and the klutz. Lady Constantine is known among her peers as Lady Disaster. She is definitely not graceful, demure, or filtered. Instead she is blunt, forthright, and a bit clumsy. Even more than Constantine, I love Seth. He may have been a rake, but he has fallen hard.
The banter between the two kept me moving forward and reading long into the night. These two needed to be together and I wasn’t putting the book down until they were.
Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC via Booksprout, my opinions are my own and are given freely.
Title: HIS PERFECT HELLION Series: A Rogue’s Kiss #2 Category /Genre: Historical Romance Recommended for: 18+ due to sexual content Grammar/editing: received as an unedited ARC / errors excused Received from: Amanda Mariel
Another well written story. Full of love, drama, romance, steam, suspense, twists, society and secrets.Seth is a Marquess who sees Constantine and knows he wants her very badly. Constantine is staying with her Aunt, while her Father remains in the country away from society. Seth is friend to the Duchess and Duke and visits them often. He meets her there and really enjoys spending time with her. Has lots of action and feelings between them. During a storm , they kiss and she wants more as he does. He offers to marry her, she offers to be his mistress. Both refuse for their own reasons. Seth finally gets her to agree to marry him but at the ball , another accident occurs and she refuses again. She fear what society calls her and it will affect him so she breaks the engagement. Enter her Father to the rescue and both get their happily ever after. What a great book to read and enjoy. Would recommend to others.

Ah, another rogue falls hard. Constantine, daughter of the Earl of Dartford, was brought up in the country after her mother died when she was seven. Now in her early twenties, she is back in London with her aunt for her second season. Having not learned all the rules of society, her first season was one full of mistakes and embarrassment. Seth, the Marquess of Gulliver, was a reputed rogue. He met Constantine at a dinner party and found her refreshing. Shortly thereafter, they both were at the Duke and Duchess of Slekirk’s country house party where things got heated. I love that Gulliver is so besotted. He so wants to love and be loved. The main characters of this story have worthiness issues, for very different reasons. Hers get in the way and could keep her from true happiness. A surprise visitor saves the day! This is sweet, steamy and uplifting! Lady Disaster and Lord Disgraceful finally find their happily ever after!.

His Perfect Hellion is a charming historical romance by Amanda Mariel. Set in regency era England, this is the second book of the series A Rogue's kiss.
Seth Mowbray, Marquess Gulliver, is the rogue of this novella. He doesn't really have close family, instead he has a found family with his friend the Duke of Selkirk, Selkirk's wife and the circle of friends that have formed around that couple. Lady Constantine Hartley is a fiercely independent lady who finds society's rules stifling as she tries to spread her proverbial wings. She fits in the rag tag group of aristocrats that surround the Selkirks.
Seth and Constantine have a swift yet sweet romance. While they have plenty of differences, which draw them together, they have a passion that keeps them getting closer. I enjoyed both characters. As I said first off, this is a charming romance and was a relaxing read.

I was captivated by the story that Amanda Mariel has given us about Constantine and Seth! This was one of her spicier stories and I have to admit that I do like a love story with a little extra kick to it at times. There was hardly any drama involved to the story other than the fact that Constantine was not well versed in how to navigate society with all of its rules and strictures that she was ill-equipped to handle having been raised without a mother or governess to guide her after her mother passed away when Constantine was a mere seven years old. Her father preferred to have them live quietly on their country estate far away from London and the ton which suited Constantine just fine. Therefore she became known as Lady Disaster once she entered London society due to her numerous blunders and embarrassing incidents. She meets Seth, Lord Gulliver, at a house party and their respective worlds tilt! He is a well-established rake who has always scoffed at the idea of love, mostly because he had been neglected by his parents virtually all of his life until they passed away and the concept was something he just could not comprehend. Then he meets Constantine and he now begins to understand what all the fuss is about! As a couple, the two of them clicked immediately and I loved the banter between them! Constantine has such spunk and she has no problem blurting out whatever she is thinking and then remembering afterward that doing that is frowned upon by the members of society. This tendency totally fascinates Seth and he soon realizes that he has found the one woman that he would gladly give up his rakehell behavior and reputation for!
If you are looking for a clean, chaste kissing only storyline, then this is not going to be the book for you. There are a couple of spicy scenes prior to and one consummation after marriage depiction but those are not as racy as can be found in other historical romances by any means. I had no problem with that because attraction does have a tendency to get acted on, no matter what time period you happen to be living in!!
The only thing that I felt was missing was a nice epilogue. I would have really liked to get a glimpse into their life a year or so down the road to see how they had adjusted to their new normal. Especially Seth, since I felt he would have had to make more changes to his lifestyle than Constantine did. Other than that I had no complaints at all and absolutely loved it!!

This is the second book in A Rogue's Kiss series. Although I have not read the first book in the series, I had no trouble following the story or plot, so it can definitely be read as a standalone. The characters were great - the witty banter between Constantine and Seth kept me turning the pages and smiling all the way through. Constantine is a bit feisty and full of spunk, and that is just what Seth needs. He is captivated by her. They had such great chemistry - I loved following their journey to their HEA. This is a sweet story with a little bit of spice and humor mixed in, and it surely kept me reading wanting to find out how things end. A very enjoyable and entertaining read, for sure!

After an unfortunate first season, Lady Constantine Hartley has resigned herself to spinsterhood, or a reclusive life with a country husband. Marquess Gulliver, Seth Mowbray is a known rogue who feels an inevitable attraction towards the unrefined Lady.
This is a short sweet historical romance with plenty of spice. I was instantly charmed by Seth and his caring and considerate nature. I also liked Constantine, though she often felt like a stereotypical simple country girl. I really appreciated how supportive Lady Celia was of her friend, and would love to see more of her story. Overall I quite enjoyed my time spent with this story.

I looked at the other reviews and wonder if I read the same book. This book was steamy enough that anyone looking for the sweet romance mentioned in the reviews might be disappointed.
More than that, though, this book had so many errors that I almost dnf’d it multiple times in spite of the fact it was only 100 pages. By the end I was skimming just to get to the end because I hate to not finish a book I have started. I don’t expect books to be perfect, but most pages had some sort of error, all the way to the end. It’s very hard to get in a rhythm with a story if you are constantly jarred out of it by misspelled words and excess apostrophes and commas. Please, have someone proofread or edit this book and upload a better version for kindle.
Lady Constantine is socially award. Since her mother’s death, she and her father has lived quietly in the country. Her first season was embarrassing. Her missteps with society’s rules and her clumsiness earned her the moniker Lady Disaster. Lord Gulliver is a rake. He doesn’t look for or expect love. He has never had any from anyone. When Seth and Constantine meet at a house party, there is a definite connection, but will it lead to more? This is a charming story with great characters, a little drama, a spicy romance, and a wonderfully happy ending. Great narration by Anne Marie Dammon. We have Marquess Gulliver, Seth Mowbray, best friend to the Duke & Duchess of Selkirk. He is considered Lord of Disgrace and what happens when he meets Lady Disaster! We have Lady Constantine Hartley raised in the country and allowed to run wild! So when she comes to London she does not even know some basic rules of etiquette! Constantine is dubbed Lady Disaster! She is devoted to her father and as she and Seth find they have much in common she dares to dream! Then reality sets in when she causes another disaster at a ball! Can Seth who often felt displaced convince her they belong together? Well done!
This is a sweet and clean romance. A lot of information is provided in the beginning, which helps with a shorter story. I did not feel the story was rushed or missing anything. If flushed out, it would make a good full-length novel. It was an enjoyable story to listen to. Constantine is a bit of a social disaster. Seth is a rake, from a dysfunctional family that does not show love and emotional attachments. Narration was good. I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving my review.
A sweet, quick, regency read. It doesn't have anything in particular that makes it stand out in the genre, but was a heart warming read nonetheless. Light on any true plot, it's more of a meet-cute. If you're looking for an instant love connection with little depth but a little spice, this may be your thing. Would have benefited from a more thorough editor as there are a few grammatical errors scattered throughout. Not something that would make me want to read any more of the series but was a nice palate cleanser after reading through a few clunky plots.
A clumsy heroine and a Reformed rake create a lovely love story. Constantine, aka Lady Disaster, is a bit socially inept. Seth, having never experienced a familial love, meets Constantine and is smitten with her, enough to want to change and imagine a future for them.
And so the journey begins, of 2 emotionally vulnerable people finding love and their hea.

Although her pedigree fits society's mold, her boldness and awkwardness do not. She is only taking part in another season to please her father and her aunt. She does not intend to nab a husband. He is a hopeless flirt and finds himself intrigued by her quirkiness. He finds himself drawn to her more and more until they come to a crossroads. Who will win this battle of wills?.

This is a very sweet story. I really enjoyed reading Seth and Constantine journey to be together. There is no much drama nor angst, and is there is a couple of funny moments, is a book to enjoy in a quiet evening and definitely you wont regret it. I think some people would find the argument of Constantine for not getting married a little weak, but speaking for myself I know how difficult it can be to fit in, and the fear of embarrassing the people you loved, so I totally understand her dilemma; and of course I love how caring and considerate Seth is, a real gentleman. The only ‘but’ of this book is that I really wished it would be longer, for I adored how the relationship between them was developing and suddenly I felt it a little rushed, everything else is absolutely lovely.
This is Seth and Constantine's story. They both have both been raised differently then others. When they meet what will happen? He does not want love, but Constantine brings out something in his heart. She wasn't raised by women, so she has no etiquette. Note: I had listen to this story 08-15-23.

A well written story of two people who just don't conform to the rules the rest of society follows. This is a tale with great banter, chemistry and overall plot line. The characters are perfectly matched and charming.

This is a delightfully crafted second book in this brilliant series. The emotional insecurities and amazing characters, all come together to make this a very captivating story that has a steamy end.
I loved Constantine and Seth, but I would have liked to have seen a little more of how and why they fell in love instead of just having it happen. Still, it was a good story.

Hearts are wild and emotion runs deep. Fire and ice collide with combustible results. Seth and Constantine are emotional chaos that chip away at the soul with a precision that no one saw coming. A beautiful mess tat sticks to the soul and shakes up the heart.
I enjoyed this very charming fairytale like love story filled with humor, delightful characters, wut, and beautiful romance with a happily ever after ending. I highly recommend reading!
A lovely story of finding your One and not giving up.....
Lord Gulliver, Seth Mowbray, Marquess Gulliver, has found his One and is a bit surprised by her self-doubt and lack of confidence. She is all he was looking for and knows they will make a great team, he just needs to help her see it.
Lady Constance Hartley, daughter of the Earl of Dartford, is lovely and a bit of a hoyden. She has been in the country with her father since she was very young when her mother passed away. She was never pressed to have the training an Earl's daughter would normally receive. She was never pressed to have a season and wasn't really concerned with the idea. At twenty-three, she arrives on the marriage mart under the sponsorship of her aunt and is struggling. She has several missteps that earn her the nickname, Lady Disaster.
Together they are wonderful. They have deep conversations and get along beautifully. they discuss marriage, but she feels she is not able to be the kind of wife Seth needs and deserves as a Marquess. She always saw herself marrying a country gentleman and living near her father.
Their HEA was rescued by her father and his finally recognizing the disservice he did to Constance. While there was no real tension, drama, it was a lovely way to spend an afternoon seeing a couple come together, discover hope for a future and not give up!.

I enjoyed this new "Rogue's Kiss" story. It's a fairly quick read that is interesting and intriguing. I really like the characters and the story-line. Julia and Charles are good for each other despite the class difference. This is a sweet historical romance with a touch of sexy.
