A good series overall with great writing, an interesting concept and variations in (particularly the female) characters. However, each story line is basically exactly the same with each couple meeting in the games in almost the same manner.
It bothered me that there is no wrap-up or conclusion after the 4 couples stories despite great detail and character development throughout. Will they defeat the Fraken? Did the Fraken manipulate the communications from the Vorten Elders? Does the squad put together a larger army of allies? What adventures do they all go on together? Do they have children? Do they return to Earth and/or Vorten?

4 Alien Warriors who met their match!
Wow! AXEN, Lazte, Thunde, and Bladen meet their i match in more way than one in this action-packed, edge of your seat suspense filled alien romance. Just when you think there finally over the worse you find another turn.
You will lose sleep and maybe forget to eat reading the collection of books. Just remember I tried to warn you that you'll find it hard to put down.

Exciting
Wow. These stories were full of action that was almost brutal at times. A squad of alien warriors rebel and start a revolution after being pitted against feisty human females in a game to the death. Each story featured a different couple struggling to survive in a game of treachery and fixed odds. The world building was wild, the characters were engaging and the sexy times were minimal but hot. I really enjoyed reading the Vortex Warriors.

Science fiction romance
This was ok. The only story of the 4 that I liked was Thunde and Jessie's. I didn't really like the other female main characters.
You won't learn anything about the elders and why they make the choices they make or if it's even the elders giving orders. You won't see the end of the Fraken.

It was great I loved the stories!if they
I didn't like how the stories were almost identical,They were all just different enough to be separate but I still loved the idea of the women changing the males whole lookout on life

Every story was suspenseful, suspicious and full of action with muscle bound aliens and strong women to love them. Loads of HEA’s.

Great series, storyline is pretty much the same but each couple have different challenges, fights and ho they escape their enemy. Always with a happy ending
