--Magnum
Being President of the Rugged Skulls MC, I have it all: my brothers, women lining up for a piece of me, and a club at my back.
And when an old face is sent to stay at my club, to be under my protection, I may just get even more. One look and things shift. Calling 'dibs' is me staking my claim. Something I should have done years ago.

--Kara
I was raised in the club, even after losing my parents when I was young. My uncle took me in and raised me as his own, but I didn't make it easy for him.
Now, I'm being shipped off to another club for my safety, because I dated the wrong man. But that's how I got my club name: Risky.
Now, seeing Magnum again, my old crush comes rushing back. But I have to ask myself.

Is he worth the risk?
Risky by name, risky by nature.

My number one complaint with authors is if you are from the UK and you are writing a book that is based in the US, DO NOT USE UK PHRASES!!!

The story takes please in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. But it takes away from the story when I read words and phrases that are UK slang.

For example -

We do not say “Take away” we say “Take out “

We do not “Park up” we “Park” our cars.

We do not “Pop Over “ anywhere. I grew up in the South and I have NEVER heard anyone say “Pop Over” let alone a guy say it.

What is a “Trinket store”? I can only assume that’s a thrift store. I am positive Ft. Lauderdale doesn’t have “Trinket Shops” it’s a spring break beach town, not Picadilly.

We don’t “Sort” our hair we FIX our hair. I sort laundry.

We don’t “Knock Off” from work we “Get off from work”

We do not use the word “Cheeky” here let alone in Ft. Lauderdale.

This word is the one that bugs me the most. Cheeky is not used in the US, EVER. It is not used in normal conversation, and when I read it in a book I immediately know the Author is British. It’s a dead giveaway.

We don’t know what “cheeky” means!!! Your story takes place in Florida not London. Two very different places. With two very different ways of speaking. You can’t just say the character’s live in Florida and write them with British slang

For example:

If I wrote a book about a guy living in London, I wouldn’t have him say “Y’all want some grits?” Even though that is what I am used to hearing and what I grew up with. I would understand that British people do not speak like that.

Southern men from Florida would never in a million years think or say “cheeky”

If I told anyone they were acting “ cheeky “ I swear they would look at me like I was insane, and then ask me what hell I was I’m talking about.

We don’t say “Cooker” it’s called a stove here.

We don’t say “Punch Up” , we say Fight here. If you’re from the south, we say “I’m bout to take your ass out back and beat it country style!”

What are “Lorries” ? Never in my life heard this term, I had to google it and it’s a Truck. Again, nobody in America ever uses that term, ever.

I have no problem with these phrases if I am reading a book based in the UK. It just seems lazy to me that an author would not take the time to make sure her writing fits with the location that she is writing about.

I would suggest in the future this author get more in touch with her inner red-neck before writing a book based in Florida, or any state for that matter. Some suggestions.

Live in a trailer park for a while
Never take down your Christmas lights.
Shot gun a PBR (Pabst Blue Ribbon)
Get a airbrush t-shirt from the beach with your mans name and yours on it.
Date your cousins, sister-in-law Ex boyfriend.

If you are unsure or confused about any of the suggestions above , then you should not be writing a book based in Florida.

h is 4’11” and the H describes her as having long legs. Bitch, I am almost 5’10”...I have long legs. TWO FEET of legs is not long...it’s just the name of a great band...lol.

This was safe. Yes the H was a dick, and a manwhore...but he’s a fucking biker.
Stop clutching your pearls.

“Suki looks like a fucking badass tiger prowling toward us.” (Suki is a Bengal)

I’ve had Bengal cats for YEARS. I currently have 4 in different colors. They look like leopards. Not even the marbled look like tigers. Look that shit up. Google is your friend.

If you’re from Florida…if you’re from the southern USA… this book will make you laugh so hard! Redneck bikers talk like rednecks not like King Charles! I agree with another reviewer… we don’t say “cheeky” round here in Florida y’all. We say smart ass . We don’t get into punch outs. We put a fuk ton of whoop ass on ya! I just couldn’t even with this book….sissy bikers getting cheeky and popping over…. Yeah right! Ain’t happenin 🤣🤣🤣🤣

An over abundance of obscenities, adding excerpts required major editing.

Magnum’s father’s VP, Crude, is sending his errant niece to stay at Magnum’s club for protection because she got involved with a controlling psychopath threatening her life.

“Can’t you send me to a different club?” My uncle smirks at me, while Colt smiles, showing just how much he looks like an older version of his son. Joey Masters, aka Magnum. Kara had a huge crush on Magnum as a teenager, when he wasn’t doing club business or random women. One night, he saw me, but rather than stopping, he gripped her hair and moaned out Kara’s name taunting her. Kara’s flight is booked, but if she continues antagonising her ex, there will be a war. She hasn’t seen him in four years, avoiding the club after the night he humiliated her in front of a girl he was having sex with.

Kara/Risky is twenty-three, born into the club life, it’s ingrained into her DNA. Magnum is the president of the Rugged Skulls MC and resentful that he has to babysit her.

Magnum is a tomcat, fast and loose with anything with a pulse, calling dibs claiming his toy so no one else can play with it. He is easily distracted by other toys. A womaniser doesn’t adapt overnight and I wish it could be said that he learns from his mistakes.

(Riley is eight-years Magnum’s senior and regularly services them on most weekends). Resting my locked fingers behind my head, I let Riley get to work; I always go commando. “Get to it, Ri,” I demand, wanting to feel the tension leave my body, just in time for the next roll of tension to start building when the sexy Kara arrives. I’m going to have to call dibs on that girl before my brothers say anything. (He’s a pig).

Calling ‘Dibs’ began years ago; at first it was a joke, but it stuck. They’re immature jerks playing juvenile games enjoying the expression on the women’s faces when they call ‘dibs’ like they would a toy in kindergarten.

His gaze lands on a firm, flat, toned stomach. She’s wearing a black ‘R.O.E’ t-shirt, R.O.E, or Rugged Online Entertainment, is their online porn production company. She looks bada*s and sexy all at the same time. A biker princess.

I watch as he walks over to the president of the club—Magnum. He’s grown taller, and he now has more tattoos.
“Long time no see, Kara,”
“If you say so,” Tucking my hands in the back pockets of my denim shorts, I rock back and forth, under the stare of Magnum. The action makes my breasts stick out more, and Magnum removes his shades. His eyes drop, but he keeps grinning at me. “Eyes up here, f-kface, my t*ts are eye-catching. They catch me plenty of men. Real men”. He calls dibs on her.

They immediately clash on their ‘snatch chat’ club ultimately him forcing her to publicly apologise to him.

When Kara met Marvin, he seemed innocuous-normal. He treated her well until his inner psycho manifested. He saw her talking to her best friend, Tank and he slapped her across the face.

Marvin trashed her place, badgered and hurt her friend to the point of hospitalisation, threatening to slit her throat and other vile obscenities which includes sharing her with his friends.

The club ‘Regs’ are brazen most especially Riley and Dora, they are not the types to befriend a rival and contemptuously taunts Kara at every opportunity.

“You’re a cheeky little bitch, aren’t you? Just because you know Magnum and Edge, don’t mean nothing. You need to know your place around here, little girl.” “What the f-k is going on here?” Magnums asks, stepping up to the bar and stopping at my side. “This little girl was running her mouth at me, Magnum. I don’t know what I’ve done to her, but she just started saying nasty things to me. She gave me a dirty look in the kitchen this morning also.”
“Kara?” (Why should she be expected to explain herself)?
“I didn’t start sh*t. She came in commenting about how I’m in my place on my knees. Ask Edge. He’s sat over there for hours on his laptop.” Dora’s eyes widen in fear, because she didn’t see Edge sitting on the sofa in the corner.
“Brother, Risky didn’t do a thing. Dora came in and stirred sh*t up. Kara was minding her own business; cleaning”.

“Magnum, can we go to your office and talk menus for the birthday party?” He looks between Edge and me, then plasters a wicked smile on his face, making my heart sink a little. He’s going to do it. He will take her back to his office and do f-k knows what, knowing I know what they’re doing. Clearly calling ‘dibs’ on me only goes one way. “Yeah, doll. Let’s go.”

Magnum was a petulant biker, a master at indecision and mixed signals, rarely acting the eight years her senior. He is territorial and quick to jump to conclusions, reacting before thinking, trusting his groupies rather than Kara. Magnum could be a traitorous pig, questioning her but accepting accusations from the club felines.

He is a womanising, man-slut, years after doing whatever he wants, he wasn’t hardwired to be loyal and become a one-woman man...at odds with his actions. He knew her years ago, recognising her crush on him. There’s an eight year difference between them but he had sex with girls that were only a year older than her in high school.

Dora and Riley were childish, thriving on instigating drama as they compete for Magnum’s attention.

OMFG!” I yell happily. I stop in my tracks, forcing the driver of the vehicle to slam on the breaks. In front of me is my mint condition 1971 Ford Bronco with black on brown leather. She is a f-g beauty. I wait for the driver to climb out. “TANK,” I scream, pretty sure I just deafened my best friend. Tank is two years younger than me, but he’s my bestie.
I’ve missed you, baby girl.”
“Oh hey, man. I’m Tank. Crude sent me down here with this misfit’s truck and an added guest.” Elation takes over my body, and I ignore everyone and jump down. As soon as my feet hit the tarmac (tarmac is misused, a tarmac is a runway).

I race to the passenger side of the car and pull the door open. A loud noise greets me, and she goes crazy. “Oh, my baby, I missed you so much.” Reaching in and unbuckling the straps, I pull her out. Her sounds show she missed me too. Holding her tight to my chest, a tear leaks out, falling down my cheek. “You let another man that isn’t your old man grope you, and on top of that, you never bothered to tell me you have a kid?” Clearly, he can’t see me and my baby. Giving him a sweet smile, I step up to him, holding my baby. Magnum, I want you to meet my baby, Suki. Suki, meet Magnum, the big scary biker who thinks he can intimidate me.”

“First off, you do not ever let another man touch you like that again. In no way shape or form, do you hear me? (What he isn’t saying is the same doesn’t apply to him). Before I can speak again, Slide chimes in, his voice hysterical. “A cat. A cat. Not a baby, but a cat. Oh my f-g God, this is the best day ever. Magnum not only claimed an old lady, but he gained a cat as a daughter. You cannot write this sh*t.” He falls over with laughter. Suki is my six-month-old Bengal cat. She’s a beautiful brown and gold pattern, making her look like a feisty tiger. I rescued her from an asshole who was hurting her.
“Never thought I would see the day, brother”,
“I know, man, but that girl does something to me. She did years ago, but she was in a bad place after her parents’ death. Plus, I was a horny f-ker back then, and giving my d-k one p-y never entered my mind, so I stayed away.”

Magnum lives by a double standard, he is full of bravado and territorial over Kara, unfortunately he fails to abide by the same standards. At the middle mark Magnus in an unprecedented move, publicly lashes out at her unleashing venom on an unsuspecting Kara claiming he regrets claiming her. His actions were unforgivable. Kara self-professed strength failed her. I would have kicked him to the curb. I didn’t witness profound regret, more of cocky self-confidence.

One of the Regs comes into the main room, tucking her shirt into her jeans and smirking. Is this the reason why he hasn’t touched me in a week? Is Magnum f-g the Regs again? “You know he’s been f-g them?” Magnum comes stumbling into the room, until his gaze lands on me, then his eyes drop to Edge still holding my wrist. He storms over to us, stumbling some of the way. “So, you don’t get c**k from me, so you move onto my brother. You want to be a Reg now, huh, Risky?”“Brother, you’re drunk. Stop before you say shit that you’ll regret,” Regret? The only thing I regret is calling dibs on her,” he spits in my direction.
“Nice, Magnum. Real nice,”
“Nice? Nice was me f-g any p***y I wanted and having no one to answer to.”
“Oh, you mean like you have for the last week, huh, Magnum? You been f-g the whores around here? Everyone is watching us. I see Riley smirk from her seat, and I flip her off. “No feelings involved, Kara. It hits me, Magnum has feelings for me, but he refuses to act on them. Him claiming me, calling ‘dibs’, was a front. He did it so no other brother would touch me before him. She reflects that she will miss Edge, Slide, Rookie with his Irish accent and Sarge and his broody personality.

He awakens next day regurgitating last night’s alcohol. It’s a pity he didn’t fall into the loo and knock some sense into his fat head.

He looks around for Kara, surprised she isn’t with him. He recalls his head and his heart waging a war. Leaning his hands on the shower, memories of Kara crying, shouting... Me and Kara yelling at each other... Edge comforting Kara… Me saying she was just p***y, and that I had no feelings for her. After emptying the contents of his stomach repeatedly, he notices her belongings are gone. I race down to her room. The room we allocated to her when she first arrived. I knock again, but again nothing. Trying the handle, I’m surprised to find it open. I push it all the way and see her suitcase by the door, ready to go. “Not so supportive now, is she?” I hear Riley say from behind me. I spin around, glaring at her, and she backs up a step. My anger evident on my face.

Three days after eating humble pie, and being chastised by his father; three days of playing nice. Entertained by Sarge’s genuine fear of Suki. Magnum’s been pandering, fetching her coffee, offering to look after Suki, he even offered to get one of the prospects to do her laundry except her underwear, Magnum hand washed them.

There is an infant abduction (Edge’s nephew, Hendrix or Henny) by her snake of an ex as collateral damage, she barters herself for his release. Kara is beaten within an inch of her life whilst in captivity. “Kara has always been mine, ever since she was sixteen years old. But I kept my distance because I knew I was a horny f*$#*r and she was still finding her feet. But you see, everyone around us knew that she would be mine one day.”

Magnum nor Kara are virgins, of the two I liked Magnum less - he is without shame, getting a bj from Riley, minutes before Kara arrives.

Magnum, tosses the term respect around, to Kara and to Edge — however, his behaviour to Kara was disrespectful and without remorse. There is an old adage ‘Begin as you mean to go on’.

Hopefully a book will be dedicated to Edge, Hendrix and Synclare...incorporating a bona fide strong female character, not a pseudo-empowered female.

This one had me laughing my ass off. It was amazing. I wanted to kill Magnum at one point, but it got better. I can't wait to read the next book or back track cause I feel like I missed a couple of things.

I did enjoy this book. There were a few things that got me. Like Magnum always allowing the Reg to touch him but Risky couldn't touch a guy? Or the Chat group. I agree if it's consensual and they know before hand who cares but what got me was you have an old lady and your basically being sent Pu$$y pics. Risky even told him to delete the group for just him since he was with her and yet at the end he still got one. I know I wouldn't want my man getting pics like that. my one issue with Risky was that she couldn't control your hormones... she's this badass sassy feisty biker chick and yet one look at Magnum and she went into heat and thinking about how sexy he is and getting the D. Like what? She has no control of her body? It just bugged me that at 23 and growing up around bikers that she slid into lust with one look or smirk from Magnum. Another thing that got me was Edge and how he talked about his woman. I don't know if I'll read that story. I mean he has a woman he claimed yet made decisions and choices about her life for her with talking to her about them and basically broke her so she would leave but he still wants her when she comes home even though he is sleeping with Regs well he called Dibs. But that's just me. For me the book read more in favor of men then woman.

When the guy Kara had been dating turned out to be a creep, she dumped him. That didn't stop him from making threats against her and being raised in an MC the President of the MC shipped her off to the Florida chapter. Kara doesn't want to be around Magnum, the guy who she has crushed on for years but she has no choice. What she doesn't plan is that Magnum has called dibs on her and as President of this chapter, no one will cross the line.

Magnum never planned to settle down, but one look at Kara and how she has grown into a stunning woman has him changing his mind. Her fiery temper only adds to the reasons she will be a great Ol Lady. Magnum though has a few hurdles in front of him though, the main one is he doesn't know how to do relationships. Will he muck it up or will Kara see past his steely demeanor?

A ton of stuff goes on in this movie which I think lays the foundation for future books. I liked Kara a lot and I think Magnum was a perfect complement to her, that being said though Magnum was a turd at times. I couldn't understand why one of the times. Good beginning to new to me series.

- Thoughts: needs editing. Main character is a dick to women and just kind of a dick in general. Says some mean stuff to her in front of everyone near the end and doesn’t give good enough reason IMO. “Demon eyes & badass biker” dumb phrases used over and over. Writing isn’t great. I knew after page one that I should probably DNF but didn’t. There are better MC romances with this same story. If it were labeled as an erotica, I would expect less story, but even the sex isn’t very hot or interesting. There are sexier MC romances. There are better characters. There are better alpha holes. There are even better assholes. Speaking of assholes, *spoiler* first time anal with NO lube even though the main character’s c*ck is so big that his road name is Magnum? Just no. *end spoiler*. There’s no real character development. I do like the supporting characters and if this were better I would probably keep reading the series. I don’t mind reading an MC that isn’t really groundbreaking with regards to freshness of plot or characters but dang. I just feel like none of it was great. Wasn’t the worst I’ve read but atm I can’t think of one off the top of my head. Two stars for me (because I did finish it). It’s just not worth the read IMO.

OW everywhere... I don't mind the Hero getting attention from other ladies when they aren't together. No big deal to me. Setting it up so Risky the Leading Lady has to be in confrontation with each and everyone of them got old FAST.
The club felt very immature. All the guys were in their mid-20's and acted like horney cavemen. All of them were drop dead handsome of course and sluts.
I enjoy an MC that is somewhat true to life... give me an MC with all ages- lots of older members, rough around the edges and not this young group of guys.
This MC is not for me.

Nice storyline

Soft MC story. Magnum and Risky had a sweet story. I didn’t get angsty at any point. Character development was good for the main characters. Back-story was missing some pieces. I kept having to look back to see if questions I had were answered. Not always. First time for this author. When I need a non-heavy emotional read, I will read her again. 🔥🔥🔥/5

Mag & Risky...

I liked it- but at the same time I felt like it needed more range of depth. The characters felt at times one dimensional.

I liked the brothers of the club, Dezi, and I even liked Risky- mostly. But, I felt like Risky needed to stand her ground with Magnum at times, instead she let her body take over. That’s one thing that irritates me in biker books.

I liked the storyline, but sometimes I felt like I was missing something... so maybe there’s other books from a different MC series I needed to read? I also felt like I needed more meat to this story. It was basically mouthing off, screwing, yelling and saying hateful words, some meaningful moments, and some drama... though I have to say, when Mag wanted to be sweet- I really loved these parts.

I really didn’t love their porn production business, nor their main star who gets hurt by her boyfriend, and tries to get Mag to hook up with her. Right there- that was straight up too much like Sons of Anarchy for me. I also hated the snatch chat- and that Mag didn’t seem to have deleted himself from it like Risky wanted. It also ticked me right the hell off that a little old woman helps Mag -all on her own- by justifying the snatch chat photos of women’s vaginas.
I say it’s a form of cheating that he doesn’t mind looking at them- even if he no longer posts in the group. It’s disgusting and I hate it. It’s also stupid and childish.

I also would have liked to have known right off the bat that Risky’s ex was mafia - and not later in the book. Also... Sometimes I felt like parts of the story - or people- were just to fill in a spot then fell off.

Mag could be an Ahole, and I was fine with that- but letting the Regs hang on him, and the moment with the porn chick, and all the moments with Riley - they ticked me off. I hated also how he sometimes talked crudely about Kara, aka Risky, and how he eggs on the ex of hers. Like really!??? Ridiculous.

Anyway- overall, I think it’s an interesting start to a new MC. So I’m going to chance checking out the others coming up. After all- I did laugh, get pissed, and a little teary.

Hm, well I didn't hate it. That's about the best thing I can say about this book. It wasn't awful but it certainly wasn't good. Was it entertaining? Yeah. Sadly though it was juvenile at times both in writing style and how the characters carried themselves. Not to mention the predictable OTT drama between Kara (Risky) and Joey (Magnum) especially with the OW drama with the Regs 🙄🤦

But in the end it didn't entirely suck. It entertained me for a night and that's all I needed.

I would like to say that anyone who thinks using the title "P-Town" for their pussy is funny or appealing at all needs to be slapped. That was a hard NO for me and I cringed everytime Kara thought or said it. Ugh.

And there was literally nothing okay about the "Snatch Chat" shit. Having the old lady correct Kara about it like it was all fine since the guys had the chicks permission for the photos was still crap. She had every right to be bothered by it but oh no after she "got told" she's was like oh she's right and suddenly okay with it. Whatthefuckever. Not cool.

Decent MC read.
I liked Kara and her feisty attitude, Joey was a "typical" MC man.
I do tend to get a bit tired of the club girls always being bitchy and causing issues, this can be a reason I get selective about my MC reads.
There was a bit of this throughout the book, no actual cheating but a lot of "did he? Didn't he?"

There was a bit of repeating and a lot of winking 😉 🤣
I must say I was a bit let down that their first sex scene was actually glossed over or "behind the scene," then they had a sex scene the "following morning" 😭

Im curious about some of the other characters like Sarge and Edge.

I’m in two minds about this book

Okay so I hated the beginning and was considering why am I reading this. So *spoilers* we got a detailed bj at he beginning of the book with another women. What annoyed me about this was it was minutes before the fmc arrived to which he was excited for and wanted to use the fact she was coming to the club to be with her and claim her. But then two minutes before was with another women I’m confused. He’s also known her for years and supposedly liked her for years but because of circumstances he didn’t act on. Which partly I understood but I felt like the way it was written made me feel a different way about it. I think it’s because it was made to sound like the hero was saying; Ive got being with other women out of my system now and I’m bored of it and ready to settle down. This was also admitted in the book that the only reason they couldn’t have been together sooner was that he was too busy with other women and the club to go home and see the fmc and that the other women were getting old and weren’t as a appealing which is why he wanted the fmc. This may be me but it just felt like second best to me. This book continuously brags about the mc being a manwhore we get it we don’t need to be told about it all the time. I felt like the mc didn’t acknowledge his ways sometimes or take accountability with the fmc. I really liked the fmc but she was too easy to walk over and it frustrated me cause the author tried to portray her as a badass but didn’t succeed. For example, the mc was with a women in his office talking about their relationship and the fmc walked in on them and didn’t explain anything and hesitated to defend his supposed women and admit that he was meant to be in a relationship. The fmc ran away to which the mc caught up to her they ended up having sx and he said afterwards something along the line of it’s hard to explain about the other women! Like WHAT?! No you explain now! And this is what I mean by the fmc being a doormat sometimes. We didn’t get to know much about the fmc personal life outside of the mc. I don’t know I wanted to read a book about a couple not about a couple and other women. No one wants a man that anyone can have. It also annoyed me he was still on that app whilst being with the fmc. I don’t know the more I write this review the harder it is for me to find things I liked about the book. Overall there were some good parts where it was humerus and loving but I just feel like I lost the connection with the mc. It was too immature for me and I mostly read mc books and I just struggles with their connection but it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good either.

Absolutely Brilliant

I was pulled into this book right from the get go, staying there until I had read each and every single word that was written. All the while I had my mini movie playing along in my head.
There are twists, turns and surprises all through the book. Some of the surprises you my see coming while others you won't. Some of the surprises are large, while others are small. Some my pull on your heartstrings and others may hit you square in the face. More importantly each and everyone hold equal importance within the story.
I felt each and every emotion that the characters went through, I actually went through them along with the characters. If your anything like me you might want to make sure you have tissues handy.
This has become my favourite book out off all of Amy

Amazing Read!

I chose this book because it sounded interesting. As I was reading, I figured out that it was by an author that I have read before. Not only that, but that it was kind of a spin-off of a series that I absolutely loved. So obviously I can’t wait to read me!
Magnum is kind of a dick. But a lovable one. And Kara, aka Risky, is his perfect match. I don’t think there could have been anyone else that would have been able to tie down Magnum. She’s feisty and fierce. But she’s also soft and caring.
I loved their relationship. It was so very steamy, but also filled with moments of growth from both sides.
There was also the element of danger just around the corner with Risky’s ex after her, so that was another pull that kept me reading.
I can’t wait to read about the other members of the Rugged Skulls MC!

Any is a new to me and I can say after reading this book I am definitely a fan and will be adding more of her books to my collection.
The story line was easy to follow, the characters loveable and the storyline enjoyable. Magnum is the president of the Rugged Skulls MC and has no interest in having an old lady. Kara is a club brat just like Magnum. When danger happens around her, she is sent to his club in Florida. It doesn’t take long for Magnum to call dibs on Kara but will she accept it after all these years?
The chemistry between Risky and Magnum along with the sexual tension is off the charts. Risky is sassy and isn't afraid to speak her mind even if it means causing trouble. The banter between everyone is great and I loved Kara’s friendships with the club brothers, especially Edge after she sacrifices herself for Henny's safety.
Now I'm off to buy the next book in this series.

Risky and Magnum

A really good story, and i totally enjoyed reading the interactions between both these two.
Risky has been sent to Magnums Club because she has trouble following her, mainly an ex who turns out to be mafia breed. Risky and Magnum have know each other for a long while, and despite things Risky has loved Magnum for a while but Magnum, lets just say hes a man and men dont acknowledge feelings until all of a sudden they do.
So as soon as Risky gets to the Club, Magnum calls Dibs for all to hear, she is his women. Their story is filled with angst and trouble makers galore and along with someone who is set on trying to get her back and kill her.

I have to say though, i really loved Riskys character, she had a mouth on her and boy did she let rip when she could and those in the firing line sure knew about it and never won those battles.... it was delightful to say the least and funny as.

And.... Boom!!! That is how one kicks off a new MC series... Hello the Rugged Skulls MC. Book 1 kicks off with Magnum aka Joey and Kara aka Risky story. This book was enthralling from the first to the very last page. The chemistry between these two is scorching. The twists and turns were endless and if I wasn’t holding my breath in anticipation I was wanting to climb into the book and land a few throat punches.. hahaha..

This book included many elements that I love to see and read in an MC book. Alpha Possessive Hero, Sassy Heroine, MC Brotherhood, Club Girl Drama Rama, Angst, Suspense, Action, HEA. I loved this book and I’m excited to see what’s next for this series and each of the brothers as they all get a chance to call DIBS.

Great!

Great start to a new series. Loosely ties in with the Unforgiven Riders MC series, which I love!

I love strong fiesty FMC's and Risky is the embodiment of that. Shes such a great character and handles Magnum beautifully. They're a great match.

I would classify this as MC lite - so yes its based on an MC and has that environment but they are all good guys. Not too much bad stuff happens. Nothing graphically violent in comparison to other MC books. And an HEA.

These series (this and Unforgiven Riders) are great for having all the feels without too much angst.

Looking forward to seeing more from this series, especially Opal and Edge! :)

Would also like to see more crossovers with the Unforgiven Riders MC characters too!

I’m three books into this author’s motorcycle romance book series. The first two had a few similarities but enough change of characters background to keep me reading. This is the third and I couldn’t get to the 4th chapter. The story and female lead is the exact same character as the last two. Every female has an abusive past they are running from and the alpha biker is saving them (but they don’t want to be saved) and are obsessed with the guy.
My other confusion is the author wants a female in distress story but also a “don’t need a man” at the exact same time. It’s impossible to keep up with the personality of the characters.

Magnum will have you falling to your knees begging for anything he's willing to give!! He is fierce and his loyalty runs deep. He also knows exactly what he wants and nothing will stand in his way. Kara is the princess of the MC and she wears the title with pride although with stubbornness as well. She needs help and Magnum is there to protect her and lay down his life for her if needed. The chemistry is explosive and their connection is amazing. Amy Davies gives readers another fantastic story that will leave you asking WHAT'S NEXT?

Not bad

The story wasn't bad as whole! But several parts read as if a horny teenager had written it. I like the drama and angst, but everything else just felt mediocre. Like it was missing several key ingredients, from the way they talked and acted and definitely the so called regs (whores) that were supposed to believe are high class business women acting like that. Didn't quite fit for me! There was definitely repeated retelling of the same same as well. Like the author forgot they already had written it in previous chapters and the repeated it again.

Loved this

I am really picky about my MC romances and this book was great!! Kara was beautiful, confident and feisty (without being bitchy). Magnum was hot and a total alpha male. They had awesome chemistry. This book had the perfect amount of tension—relationship wise and action wise. I absolutely loved Magnum’s brothers and how they stood by Kara when Magnum was being an idiot. All around great book as is the next one in this series “Opal”. I can’t wait for Edge and Sarge’s books!!

so I went backwards so to speak.. Read Sarge first.. then 1 clicked the rest of this series.. I just devoured Magnum & Risky..
Magnum is the Pres of the Rugged Skulls and Risky is the one he has always wanted but knew he needed to step back and wait till the time was right... and that time came when she was being stalked by a Ex..

I love the dynamic these two had.. her mouth and his alphaholeishness (lol).. I loved everything about this book... and some of those Reggs.. needed put is place a little more then they were..

thanks for the amazing read.. Now on to Opal..

Oh my, what can I say about Magnum and Risky! I blooming loved this book from the first page right until the end, the chemistry between Magnum and Kara is something else and I was obsessed with watching them figure out the rocky road to love. Did I want to slap Magnum (and the brothers!) once or twice.. hell yeah! but they more than make up for it in their loyalty, camaraderie and unfailing protection of those they call their own. #dibs

Magnum and Risky! These two bring the heat. He is the president of the Ft. Lauderdale chapter, she is a club princess. Risky is sent to stay with them after things get rough in Phoenix and the fireworks between her and Magnum are enough to set the pages on fire!

My Only reason for the rating I gave is that there was some redundancy issues, though it doesn't take away from a good introduction to the Rugged Skulls.
