TJ Logan is an award-winning author of romantic suspense anchored by strong themes of family, honor, and loyalty. Her writing journey began in 2012, when a bunch of strange voices popped into her head.
Hoping to exorcise the craziness, she started typing, which simply ushered in more—as if she’d cracked open some sort of portal for fictional characters to charge through. And boy did they ever!
She grew up in a military family, lived all over the country, and was surrounded by five brothers … and, shockingly, lived to tell about it. She was also a key member of a team that managed a secret program for one of the world’s top defense companies. All of these things have given TJ an interesting perspective on life. And every bit of it goes into her writing!
Family, Honor, and Loyalty aren’t just words in a tagline to TJ. They are everything.
An excellent story. Sweet and adventurous. Caleb meets Dawn at his sister-in-laws community center/homeless shelter celebration. They get off on a rocky start and get to know each other. Caleb meets Dawn's sister Luna when he goes to spend time with Dawn. As he gets to know the ladies, he and his K-9 Jake enjoy spending time with them. When he leaves for a mission, Dawn ends up moving to help another town out of state, she 's a doctor. Luna gets into trouble with a cult and Dawn gets dragged in as well. When Caleb see Dawn and Luna at the compound, where his mission is in progress, he looses his mind. Will Caleb and Jake get the women out before they are injured? A wonderful adventure.

As gorgeous as Dawn the Greek ER doc was, and as fascinating as baby sister Luna was, handsome Jake the dog is my favorite character. Hunky FBI agent Caleb is cool, but not as cool as the Czech Shepherd.
Their love story goes off the rails when he deploys and she prepares to serve a rural area. Somehow her domestic version of Doctors Without Borders assignment is changed last minute to put her in jeopardy- very near the site Jake is at.
Horrific abuse of persons and property take place on The Farm. The good doctor and her efforts to intervene, along with the teenaged rebellion of baby sister Luna, very nearly end lethally for them.
KU Action packed adventure and romance !

Caleb and Dawn. Immediate attraction, but an opposite beginning as Caleb put his foot in his mouth: equally important are Jake his new K9 partner and fierce protector/friend to Gwen and Luna, and Luna- Dawns teenage sister that she raises. Both are attracted, but concerned about the future due to location and their personal histories. They can’t ignore feelings though so spend all possible time together and with Beck/Gwen until he leaves for training. Through the power of storytelling events change and Dawn and Luna end up in the location of Caleb’s mission. Things go wrong and Caleb calls his brother for help. We see Beck and his team come in and Caleb and Jake go lead the charge to save their girls. Mason and one of the twins are also featured again which is telling because Mason gets hurt and Emily, Caleb’s sister, has a strong reaction. The ending is sweet and focuses on the family. A good read full of emotions and action!
Training on the West coast with his new K9 dog, Caleb O'Halleran is more than happy to spend his off time with his older brother and his wife, even if that means attending a charity event. But, as luck would have it, on said charity event, Caleb meets his sister-in-law's friend, the most beautiful woman he's ever seen...And promptly shoves his foot in his mouth.
So now, he has his work cut out for him. Convince Dr. Dawn Pannikos to go out with him even though he knows he will soon have to go back to work, avenge his dead canine partner and bring down a cult.
This might not have been as good as its predecessor, mostly because it lacked that perfect mix and balance between romance and suspense, but it was still better than most RS out there.
That's not to say the romance or suspense wasn't good, it just didn't mesh up that well. The first half of the story concentrated on the blossoming romance between former ladies' man Caleb and skittish-about-love-for-very-good-readson ER doc, Dawn. Throw in Dawn's younger sister heavy on teenage angst, Luna, Caleb's K9 partner, Jake, their job and training, and several time jumps, and the romance wasn't what it could've been. Yes, it was sweet and hot, heavy on the make-out, but the fact he had to leave and Dawn thought she broke up with him, put a damper on things.
The suspense was also good, both the domestic terrorism angle and the pedophile cult leader one, but it came to the fore only toward the end of the story, with a tad too little momentum and "appearances" at the beginning, so it felt like a separate plot, while the main story arc appeared to be Caleb and Dawn.
Still, the action scenes, once the proverbial crap hit the fan, were top notch and nail-biting, I loved the humorous insertions here and there, and the characters were once more realistic characters one can root for and empathize with, helping drive the story forward.
These O’Halleran men are to die for. Sexy alpha goodness. Caleb O’Halleran meets Dawn and the first does is put his foot in his mouth. This was a great edition. After reading the first book I knew this one would be a winner to. A crazy cult and some nasty bad guys. Murder, kidnapping and you’ve got the makings of a wonderful story.
This is Caleb and Dawns story. Dawn is scared to feel too much due to her family issues and Caleb is a player. Love watching them let go of their pasts and letting their emotions grow. A wonderful book, on to the next.
First let me say this I loved this book so much I went out and bought the first book in the series something I don't often do unless the book really draws me in and this one did
Caleb O'Halleran is a K9 specialist with the elite FBI hostage rescue team and he is bent on revenge for the death of his K9 partner and at the moment he is working with his team To rescue people from a cult where the leader is a total psycho and has a weapon that could kill hundreds and he wants revenge against the USA. He is starting a relationship with an ER doctor Dr. Dawn Pannikos a woman who is also raising her teenage sister who isn't making life easy for her. When Caleb is called away on the mission he leaves the women behind What he doesn't know is that Dawn is going to start to work with underprivileged kids and her and her sister will get pulled into the cult. What will Caleb do when he sees them in the grounds of the compound. This is a fast paced read with plenty of dram,a and suspense Can't wait for the third book in the series
Well all I can say is that Caleb and Dawn's story is just as exciting as the first book. It is so hard to put down! This series is so good I actually purchased all 8 books! Even though I read the first two books for free I just wanted the whole library
Well I finished book two ( Caleb and Dawn's story) I enjoyed it as much as the first book. Even though I read the first two books for free I loved it so much that I purchased the entire series! I want this series in my personal library! I am looking forward to reading the rest in this series. Now that I have said this I would love to see another book added to this series. I would loveA book about Jeffery
Good strong characters, strong plot and sub plot. Caleb is part of the FBI's hostage rescue team, their mission at this time is two fold, taking care of a corupt cult and a weapons in the hands of a man bent on revenge against the US. Dawn an ER Dr raising her teen sister. She is taking a temp job working with poor residents in a remote area of the US. S he ends up in the middle of Caleb's mission. Can he save her, can she save the children of the cult. Action packed, romantic, sweet and Jake will still your heart.

Can I just be adopted into this family and live in these books? Please? No. Damn. TJ Logan has an amazing ability to bring words to life and create a world you want to get lost in. In this book we learn more about the charismatic Caleb. The played brother that has no need to settle down. Well, when Cupid’s arrow hits, he’s screwed. There is just something innately hot about a service man going all alpha. While the book has its love story, you are also faced with a lot of evil happening at the farm. TJ does a great job writing the perfect balance of gripping story and romance to keep you on the edge of your seat.
Such great stories in this series! Absolutely love the brothers and their family and friends being so involved in each other’s lives! Caleb, who was instrumental in helping his brother Beck protect and rescue his love, falls head over heels in love with Dawn. It’s so refreshing that they develop a friendship and don’t rush into bed. And Caleb is so good with her sister Luna.
The story makes Luna sound like she’s 14 rather than 17, but that was the only part of the book that was slightly problematic. Great series!
Caleb was very happy to be where he is when it comes to a career but when his first k9 died by a madman he could could only think of finding him and getting revenge. But when he was at his brothers when he couldn't stop looking at the tall woman, Dawn. Dawn has had a rough time growing up now it's just her and her sister. Between her career and his can it work.
The second book in the O’Halleran Security International series a well written story with a very good storyline. There is suspense, drama, danger, kidnapping, a cult, twists, turns, and romance. I enjoyed reading this story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Caleb O'Halleran is a FBI agent in the Hostage Rescue Team and his K-9 partner is Jake. He meets Dr. Dawn Pannikos at a party for a shelter his sister-in-law started. They start seeing each other but then he's called on an assignment. She thinks it's over but he wants forever. I really enjoyed this story.
Lots of action in this second book of the series and I'm loving the OHallerans. If you read the first book you met Caleb and his K9 partner Jake. Dawn is a Dr and was also wonderful and has a sister she has been raising. Luna the sister was also likable. Lots of chemistry and some steam with a great plot. Loved it!
A great story which is very well written. I admit I was drawn to the story as it has a dog in it. The story itself is entertaining and page-turning. An all round enjoyable read.

The second book on the series, this was another excellent book. I have enjoyed the first two books, and I love finding new authors to fall in love with their work. I certainly would recommend this book to others.
Enjoyable read by an author unknown to me. Liked the characters and story and only negative comment is my dislike of authors making the intelligent female lead do stupid things which then bring the big alpha male to the rescue. I’d read another by this author.
Strong plot , entertaining dialogue and appealing characters, romantic episodes appropriate, realistic action scenes. Will seek out future books by this author.
After loving book one in TJ Logan’s OSI series, I dove into book two with high hopes and a fresh cup of coffee. The writing still sparkled, but the story left me wanting more—especially from a romantic suspense perspective.
Caleb O’Halleran, an FBI K9 handler, crosses paths with Dr. Dawn Pannikos after a clumsy first impression. Despite their rocky beginning, chemistry sparks, and their relationship blossoms, nuanced by quiet moments and sweet gestures. But with impending separations—him to Virginia and her to New Mexico—their romance hangs in the balance.
I enjoy this author’s storytelling and writing because it is of high quality. I still think back to Beck’s book (Deadly Secrets) and how balanced suspense and romance were in that one. Caleb’s emotional arc, especially his realization that no woman’s ever moved him like Dawn has, was entertaining because he fell first, and he fell hard. And don’t get me started on his dog, Jake, and how adorable he was. The suspense elements around “The Farm” made for entertaining reading as well.
However, for me the central romance fell flat after the strong, initial meeting between Caleb and Dawn—two months of dating without tension, intimacy (until the night of their goodbyes, at least) unfortunately made that part of the story feel more YA than adult romantic suspense. Caleb and Dawn’s initial friction hinted at enemies-to-lovers potential, but their relationship pivoted too easily in my view.
Just as I was getting to know them as a couple, their separation (spanning 39% of the novel) drained momentum and sidelined character and relationship development. They were together until the 51% mark, and then they parted ways and only interacted again when the book was almost over (90%). No telephone calls, no face-to-face … It just didn’t do it for me. Added to that, the use of a familiar trope—Dawn was idealized as near to “pure” as a grown woman could get while Caleb was a seasoned playboy—felt tired and unbalanced. I’ve seen this same theme in too many romance novels, and it is getting old now (at least for me).
Caleb was okay (from what I could see of him), but I had a few “issues” with Dawn. She spent too much time in her head, and this stalled the plot and slowed the pacing to a significant degree. In key suspense moments, her decisions lacked logic, particularly when her sister was endangered, and she didn’t reach out to Caleb or Beck (both of whom are in the protective business) immediately. Also, Dawn’s attempt to rescue her sister was painful to read—not for the emotion, but the physical blunders that undermined her capability as a heroine. She was hurt without the bad guys even laying a hand on her, and this reeked of a TSTL moment.
Except for a couple of glimpses, Caleb’s absence (which lasted for more than a third of the story) left me feeling that I did not really get to know him. His role diminished sharply during their separation, and I did not get a sense of who Caleb was outside of being Beck’s brother and the guy who fell for Dawn.
If you're here for the suspense, it’s definitely there once Dawn and Luna land in Isolation, Montana. If you’re craving emotional complexity or sizzling romantic tension, book two might not be it for you. I’m still rooting for this series, but I hope future installments find a better balance between romance and action. I therefore give this book a rating of 3.
I enjoyed the story in this second installment of the series. The characters together with the suspense story were well put together. I was up late finishing the book as the tension increased and it was worth losing some sleep.
