Bad Boy Greeks #1

Fake It for Me

Rate this book
I need a woman to help me shut up my big Greek family.

And my new intern is perfect for the job, though pretending to have a relationship with her might be a little taboo.

Good thing I’m in charge.

Being a self-made billionaire, I haven’t spent much time looking for love.

None actually.

Lucky for me, it’s fallen right into my lap.

This pretty American girl has zero sense of direction, but a good heart and a sexy smile.

I’ve always been smitten by a woman that needs rescuing, or so it seems.

Something tells me that she might be more than I bargained for.

Either way, I just need her to fake it for me until it appears real.

Funny how real it quickly becomes.

Every Good Girl Deserves a Bad Boy. ~ Weston

Hey there. I'm Weston.

Have we met? No? Well it's time to end that tragedy.

I'm a former firefighter/EMS guy who's picked up the proverbial pen and started writing bad boy romance stories. I co-write with my sister, Ali Parker, but live in Texas with my wife, my two little boys, my daughter, two dogs, three cats, and a turtle.

Yep. A turtle. You read that right. Don't be jealous.

You're going to find Billionaires, Bad Boys, Military Guys and loads of sexiness.

Something for everyone, hopefully. I'd love to connect with you. Check out the links below and come find me.

Oh my goodness I really enjoyed this book
even though it made me cry.

I got this because it was a KU and thought it would be an okay book but it was really good!! Very heartwarming.

Greece is one of my bucket list places and so hearing about it was wonderful. This love story was really unusual and their journey was interesting and believable.

A nice romance read. Some parts were rushed and others dragged and the characters were decently developed.

I tried. I really tried to read this book. I would leave it alone and come back to it. But this is probably the worst thing I’ve ever read. If I could give this less than one star I would. I’m convinced the 5 star reviews were either the authors friends and family, or they read a different book. I also know this is a romance book, and the premise is extraordinary - but this premise is too crazy for any genre.

A girl who attended a no name community college gets an internship with a social media company in Greece. She beats out hundreds of applicants. This same girl can’t even find her new office building from her conveniently located hotel. I mean, social media requires some level of tech savvy, but this girl can’t even use a GPS - unbelievable. She is so unconfident in her ability that she’s leaves her desk perfect in case she is fired while on her coffee break. This is why I can’t see her making any kind of impression to land this sought after internship.

The guy - I can’t tell you anything about him because he’s that uninteresting. Except he’s a social media CEO, but he doesn’t use social media. More improbability. I read to about the half way point and their romance attraction went from -10 to +100 in three sentences. It was at that point I closed the book.

I don’t ever write reviews - even for the great ones. But this is so bad that I had to stop you from wasting your time. Just pass

I did not finish this book. It doesn’t happen a lot but there were so many things wrong in the first chapter alone.

I don’t like it when writers don’t research the subject they’re writing about. It’s so obvious that this author hasn’t done that. You can just open Wikipedia to get your facts straight. Is that too much trouble.

For example, in the first chapter they are surfing... in the Mediterranean? Really? There are no waves in the Mediterranean. It’s like a lake. And you really don’t need wetsuits. In summer the water can get around 28 degrees Celsius. There are no sharks in the Mediterranean Sea. Maybe near Gibraltar, where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic. I’ve seen whales and dolphins there, but as soon as the water gets too warm they turn around.

And this was just the first chapter. Couldn’t be bothered reading on.

I think the simplest way to put it is: I did not buy a single thing this author was selling. First, I'll point out that the "Bad boy Greeks" is a horrible name for this series. The hero is not a "bad boy" in any way. I didn't hate him or anything but he was just a rich piece of white bread. Honestly, there was no depth to him or intrigue at all. The heroine couldn't decide what she was. Was she the shy girl who was sheltered and never left home? Was she the confident capable businesswoman who had loads of charisma? Was she the impulsive girl following her heart? Or the frugal wise and studious girl who always was careful. I don't know and frankly don't care. There was absolutely no tension or connection between the two of them and it went from zero to one hundred with no real build-up or suspense. The grand gesture was weak at best and extremely boring at worst. The dialog also made me want to gag with how cliche and repetitive they were to one another. Okay. End of rant.

DNF at 31%. Couldn't connect with the characters at all. Zero chemistry. Very slow start & simplistic writing. Disappointed - this is one my favorite tropes, sigh.

This is the first time I am reading and reviewing Weston Parker and Actually, I really l liked what I read.

This book has a sweet slow romance, located in Greek, which was different. Though the story was a little out of my taste but yes, there is something which makes you felt keep going.

I think the Author should have not kept this title because according to the title 'Fake it for me' the story was only in the last 30-35% of the book and before that there was nothing related to the title.

Still, I would say it was a nice read and you can give it a try.

Oh my goodness! Adrian and Bella were absolutely everything! I loved how sweet Adrian was to Bella. He was so helpful and everything in between! I also enjoyed seeing Greece through Bella eyes. I loved how Bella stood up for herself. That she knew what she wanted and went for it. I’m glad he didn’t give up that easily on her. That they came together and work everything out together. I was so happy they got their happily ever after. 💙

Didn't blow me away

The story was different but it didn't wow me. I think maybe it was the pace. I can remember wondering when we would get to the point several times. The characters also weren't the kind that you wanted to know. If you knew them fine but if not that was fine too.

good story line

I enjoyed reading this story once the girl got to Greece but she was very insecure and almost whiny at first.

I was really enjoying this romance, even with the two very perfect main characters. You should know there were no bad boys or girls anywhere, they were all good to the core. It was like a warm hug and the writing had a wonderful flow to it. Including the steamy parts.

Right up until the meet meet the family moment that was outright brutal. From there the rest of the story didn't match the earlier tone. It felt more rushed and cheesy rather than well paced and romantic. Still an ok story, hopefully later novels have improved as there was still a lot to enjoy.

I was excited to read this book, Weston Parker's writing is fast becoming my favorite. I loved this book, it was fun, quirky, flirty and sexy all rolled into one delicious package. Bella a new intern at an office in Greece and she doesn't get off to a stellar start when she gets lost on her way to the office and as things spiral Adrian comes to her rescue and seem to hit it off and when she realizes that he is her boss that just makes the day a little more embarrassing for her. Adrian is smart, hot and is just the whole package and is mother thinks he needs to settle down and soon, but he's not having it and can't take it anymore and tells a little white lie that has him spinning. When Bella offers her help, will he take it? Or will he be the gentleman that he is and pass? What if she is the answer to his prayers, it's one night, what could happen, right? You get nothing more from me, this is an amazing read, please check it out. I received an advanced reader copy of this book.

I’m gagging

Gimme a break.... this chick volunteered at an animal shelter, worked at a nursing home and fed the leper’s ( I made that part up). This book is putting me to sleep! And I’m generous with the second star..I’m hoping I can finish without my eyeballs falling out of my head ;from rolling them every time “Princess Bella” speaks.

Cute

It’s a little cliche. The intern and the boss. But the characters and their chemistry more than made up for it. It really is a cute story.

Childish, choppy writing.

I listened to the audiobook. It sounded like something that could have been written by and for teenagers, then just had someone add in sex scenes, which weren't that good either!

They used a horrible male narrator (Alexander Cendese). His speaking was choppy and he had a bad accent.

The heroine came off as a whiney, very dumb blonde who giggles and laughs a lot. She was ditzy and was always getting lost, whether inside or out. She talked about herself (and others talked about her) as being strong and independent but she's really just a doormat.

Contradictory things were said and done. Time frames seem wrong too. It was an unbelievable insta-love story that tried to come across as real love but looks more like a bratty girl trying to get the billionaire but he's just schizophrenic. In one look he wants her and in one day he knows she's different and thus he acts completely not normal. In two days they're seeing each other and in one week they're sleeping together. In two weeks they've met his family, broken up, flown across the world a couple times, and gotten back together forever! Also H's best friend and business partner goes from wanting the h gone to defending her honor! A month later the H buys h's dad a retirement home and her very proud father actually easily agrees to move across the world to retire there, AND H's mom does a 180. Yet six months later H finally proposes, yet h is surprised! Ugh!

One ridiculous line in the audiobook is when the H says, "God, Bella, I'm so into you." during sex! Um, hello!?! What are we? 15? High maybe?

The one good thing was the theme of fighting for a relationship and not running away from it when it gets hard.

This is a standalone, number one of a series. I might read the next book only if I can't find anything else to read!

An overseas internship might mean more than a Greek getaway.

Hotshot CEO Adrian needs a girlfriend. Or at least his family thinks he does. He finds a solution in the form of his directionally challenged American intern Bella who he conveniently happens to have an attraction to. They decide to fake it until lines blur and deeper feelings develop. Given Bella's internship is only temporary, the two will have to figure out if their strong connection also has to have an expiration date.

This beginning of this book held so much promise. It featured a rich hero who is refreshingly not a rude grump and a heroine who brings charm with her clumsiness. Add in the wholesome budding friendship-with-a-hint-of something more between them and I fully thought that this book was a hit.

Until it wasn't.

Everything went downhill about halfway through until the end. The plot lost its footing went completely off with its pacing. What I thought was a delicious simmer of forming feelings between the hero and heroine suddenly felt rushed. The fast pace left the relationship remaining at surface level and it failed to root itself on a much deeper foundation. Things progressed too quickly that the romance itself ultimately suffered.

I personally think the saving grace of this book has to be the audiobook. The narrators did a great job embodying the personalities of their characters. I cannot speak for accuracies with the accent but I really think the narration gave this book a fun factor that pushed me to continue on.

All in all, this was a quick, low stakes, low angst read that was easy to get into while getting other things done. Would I recommend this? Maybe. I get how this book might grip some readers but sadly, it just didn't do that for me.

A quick read

A girl from America, whose father raised her after her mother died, took a job in Greece as an intern. Within two weeks she and her billionaire boss were an item. I enjoyed the story, with the exception of the premarital sex and the complications which resulted. Is nobody God-fearing? Can nobody wait? We continue to make the same mistake! We are scared to have principles. Indulging is delicious but leads to such insecurity. Added to that, his Greek mother wanted her son to marry a Greek girl. She rudely told the American guest she was not welcome in her home. The billionaire was too scared of his mother to defend the woman he was sleeping with so frequently, taking from her what rightfully belonged to her husband. To add insult to injury, he defended his cowardliness by saying it was not worth upsetting his family since their relationship was only insignificant and temporary. Since when does a man have the right to indulge himself without honouring the woman he loves with marriage? So, while I did enjoy the story, I am disgusted by the lack of self-respect she showed by sleeping with her boss outside of marriage, as well as the lack of honour he showed. It took her setting boundaries by flying back to America to make him realise his shocking mistakes. A money-spinner prettily wrapped up in the trappings and glamour wealth can buy.

I don't usually give 3 stars to a book I've read (maybe because I read good ones, maybe I'm just kind), but I've made an exception))

First of all: Crete is not in an ocean. It's an island in the sea.

Second: it's obvious for me that the author has never been to Greece and has never met any Greek people. Why? Well, they are not that hard-working in general, they drink lots and lots of coffee and their restaurants serve Greek food mostly. He ordered Chinese? Where? I've been to Greece about 10 times and haven't seen many Chinese restaurants if any.

Third: I've found some typos. This book was free on Amazon, so I didn't pay for it, but in like to read ARC copies of different authors and if I find typos or mistakes in facts, I point at them. So, maybe the autt would like to send ARC copies to different people and see how it goes.

As for characters: the girl was fine, but a little imaginary. She's so good at everything, but still she leaves her hard-earned internship because she was hurt? Doesn't sound so hard-working and driven for me.

The man was ok, I guess, but he's just not Greek. That's all.

As others did poitbout, the passion just came from 0 to 100. But fine, I'll go with it. What sounded wrong to me was repetition in the end how these two loved each other and so on.

It might have been a good read for me if I haven't met Greeks and didn't know them quite well)

A lovely romance in Greece.

One thing I love about Weston Parker is that in every book you are in a different setting.

When Bella gets an internship at a company in Greece, where she can test her marketing skills, she is beyond excited. Of course things don’t go the way you plan them. You see Bella can’t find her way out of a paper bag, as the saying goes. First day on the job and she gets lost walking there. Fortunately for her the owner of the company, Adrian, goes looking for her. Bella just thinks he’s an employee of the company, not the owner.

Adrian’s mother has been meddling in his life for years. Now she wants him to find a wife and have children. She keeps trying to set him up with daughters of some of her friends. When he tells Bella what his mother is trying to do, she suggests that she become his fake girlfriend. At first he says no to her, but a few days later, he changes his mind and agrees to the plan. This plan is wrong in so many ways. You see his Mom only wants him to marry a Greek woman. Well the dinner his family plans turns into a disaster. She throws Bella out and tells her she’s not wanted there. Bella never thought that she could fall for Adrian, but she did.

I loved this book so much,mi highly recommend it.
