Even when the mind can't remember, the heart can't forget...
When an injury leaves Hanna Thompson without her last year of memories, she wakes to a perfect life—right down to an engagement ring from her unrequited love, Max Hallowell. But each day makes her question if she has the life she always wanted or if she's been living a lie. As she searches for answers, every path leads to rocker Nate Crane. And Nate wants her for himself.
“Sexy, twisty and utterly addictive...Clear your schedule. An amazing read!” –NYT Bestselling Author Kendall Ryan
Award-winning author Lexi Ryan is a New York Times and USA Today bestseller of hot contemporary romance and sexy, action-packed YA fantasy. Her books have sold over a million copies. A former English professor, she considers herself lucky to have traded stacks of grading for emotionally charged storytelling. She is happiest when at home in Indiana with her husband and two children, where you can find her lifting weights, reading copiously, hanging out with her family, and thanking her lucky stars.
As you can imagine the summary had me completely intrigued, Hanna wakes up in hospital having fallen down the stairs and her last memory is from eleven months ago, she's engaged to Max, the man she's been in love with most of her life she has the body she's always wanted, plus her own business, her life is like a dream, it's perfect she has everything she's ever wanted or does she, is her life really so perfect? In the second and third books we get the story from not only Hanna but also Max and Nate, I love books that have different POV it gives a better understanding of what's going on. The second book is, in my opinion the weakest if the three, Hanna's lack of confidence and her self destruct tendencies started to wear on me a little, I know there's Meredith and a history but I found it hard to believe that Hanna couldn't believe Max actually wanted and desired her but yet she'd believe that international rock star Nate did! At the start of the third book I'd no idea if Hannah would pick Max or Nate, I knew who I wanted her to pick, but would she? The first book 'Lost on Me' was all Nate for me I just couldn't see past him, I mean come on, he's a bad boy rock star with a touch of nerd, who doesn't love that but then 'Fall to you' started with Max's POV and wow that man loves her, and I love a man who loves a woman that much. So it could go either way and it keeps us guessing for a long while. Hanna still can't remember the day of her accident, the day she chose Max, something tipped the scales in his favour but what was it? Like I said this book keeps you guessing but eventually Hanna makes the right decision and while I really felt for the guy that was left out I was happy with the way things turned out. All our questions are answered and we finally understand what happened that day, why Hanna made the decision she did and why she 'fell' down the stairs. I'm going to take a break and then I think I'll check out Liz and Sam's books.
Lexi Ryan not only have you stolen my heart and shattered it into a million little pieces with this series, but you have given me one of the best binge reads of my life. I started the first book, Lost in Me, just before bed last night. 2 hours later, at 2am, I was diving into book 2 only to finish the entire series before lunch the next morning at work. While my productivity for work was a bit lagging that day, I have never had emotional adrenaline rush that is the Here and Now Series.
Hanna broke my heart so many times in this trilogy that I honestly don’t know where to begin with my review. Being a bigger girl my entire life, I identify with her personal body issues and her need to be loved. She had no idea what her life had in store for her when she wakes up after an accident with no memory of her life for the last year. During the missing year, her life has turned completely upside down. She’s engaged to her childhood crush and a sinfully sexy rocker god has sung his way into her heart. She has so much confusing with her memory loss and the animosity that grows between these two men that she’s about to burst at the seams.
The entire series is based on Hanna’s inability to choice between the love of her childhood and the love that her heart desires. Her memories bring to light that her past with both of these men aren’t exactly roses and rainbows happy. Each man has a history for breaking her heart just as she does to them. With each turn of the page, my heart broke just a little bit more as the series continues. The memories of their past actions intertwined with the reality she is going to have to face make this into a perfect book series. You never see the plot twists coming.
Lost in Me - 5 stars Hanna was a fool to consider forgiving Max. Not only did he repeatedly lie to her, get involved with her under false pretenses and cheat on her with Meredith, he kept all of this a secret from her once he knew that she had amnesia so that he could rush her into marriage before she found out. Fall to You - 1 star - I didn't like this book.
Hanna wakes up in a hospital and completely clueless as to what's happened to her and how she's wearing an engagement ring. Imagine her shock when she finds out it's months past her last memory she remembers and she's now engaged to her lifelong crush Max! Talk about the shock of a lifetime.
Hanna finds out she's opened a bakery also and that she's still a virgin and has never slept with Max. The night she returns home, she's alone in her bed since her and Max don't live together, she wakes up to someone between her legs... Yes, between her legs! What a great way to wake up, but wait, she doesn't know who this devastatingly handsome man is... OH SHIT! She freaks out, makes him leave! Days later, she sees him again and wants to know how she could ever have cheated on Max, Max is perfect and amazing in every way.
This book goes between present and past as Hanna tries to uncover all her memories... Everything is so foggy and she just wants to remember how she came up with her decision to marry Max. She realizes each time she sees Nate Crane how much she's attracted to him and can feel the electricity between them when she's near him. How does she feel so connected to him and she's engaged to Max? What happened between Hanna and Nate and why would she ever cheat on Max? These are all questions Hanna needs answered, but needs her damn memory to come back.
Boy was this book a fun roller coaster! Hanna has 2 hot men and can't remember how she ended up with either of them. HOT DAMN! Who wouldn't want 1 sexy man, let alone 2?!?! Lost in Me is a 5 star read for me and I enjoyed every page. Each book in this series gets better and BETTER! Oh My! You won't believe how amazing all 3 books are. I laughed and cried while reading this book. I can't wait to read the entire series again because it was just THAT FLIPPIN' GOOD!!!!
Fall to you:
Wow, I didn't think this series could get any better but boy was I wrong! I absolutely fell in love with Max in this book. I thought he was a jerk but you see a different side to Max in this book when you get to view his POV in some chapters. It was nice seeing more about Nate also and reading his POV. I don't know if I'm team Max or team Nate anymore. I love both men. This is a must read! I cannot wait until August now and will be thinking about this until I get the ending. There are definitely some surprises in this book, more than book 1. Get your wine glass ready because this is a page turner. Thank you for another great series Lexi Ryan.
This book is an amazing 5 star read and had me absolutely BALLING MY EYES out! Holy moly will you be able to handle the hotness that is Max Hallowell? Secrets slowly reveal themselves while Hanna remembers more and more of the lost memories. Is Max a creep or is he really the good guy here? Who funded Hanna's bakery? Why was Hanna ever involved with Nate Crane? Who is Hanna's baby daddy? And why won't Max or Nate admit to having sex with her??? All this is a mystery to us as well as poor Hanna.
There is a cliffy that will leave you SHOCKED and dying for more! Lucky for you, all 3 books are now released but holy hell, it was so damn hard waiting for book 3 to get released. This book most definitely teases you and will leave you gutted! I was heart broken knowing one of these 2 amazing men would not get their happily ever after with Hanna. Too bad there aren't 2 of her, one for each yummy man! <3
All for This:
All for This is book 3 of the Here and Now series, this is not a stand alone novel. SPOILERS ahead if you have not read the first two books. You may also like to know that we do see Hanna, Max and Nate’s POV throughout the book as well just as we did in “Fall to You” book 2.
“I promised that, if she chose him, I’d let her go. I promised that I wouldn’t make her second guess her decision.”
Hanna was injured and has amnesia. She doesn’t remember the last 11 months or so of her life. She wakes up and is engaged to her crush since childhood Max Hollowell. He is HOT as hell and she never thought she could have him. Hanna has always had low self esteem, so when she wakes up to see she’s engaged, she can’t believe it. She soon finds out Nate Crane was the man she was having a secret summer affair with. She loves both Max and Nate and wants to understand why she chose to marry Max. She still doesn’t remember the last 5 days prior to her accident in All for This. Hanna tries to piece together the last 5 days to understand what pushed her towards an engagement with Max.
“Fuck fair. For you, angel, I’ll play downright dirty.”
“I love you, Hanna. I just want you to wake up every day and know – without a doubt in your mind – that you’re engaged to a man who loves you and wants to make up for being blind for so many years.”
When Nate Crane shows up at Hanna’s doorstep and sees Hanna with Max, he is crushed. He’s back from the dead! What will Nate do when he finds out Hanna is pregnant with his child… oops I meant Children?!?! Talk about a freak out moment coming since he’s made it clear he never wants any other children and did not want a future with Hanna. Will Hanna still marry Max or will Nate decide he won’t stop until he has her back forever?
“You can leave, but you’re taking my heart with you. You can choose him, but part of you will always be mine.”
“God, I missed the way you feel wrapped around my fingers.”
Are you ready for the most brilliant mind fuck around? Here it is!!! Lexi Ryan has killed us throughout this entire series while we’re trying to figure out happened before Hanna’s accident and why she chose to wear Max ‘s “ring”. There was so much angst in “All for This” that I wanted to just scream and cry at every page turn, literally SCREAM AND CRY just begging and pleading to find out what the hell happened. I absolutely loved this series and this book, OMG it could not have been written any better!!! It was fan-fucking-tastic! It was a tear-jerker and I loved EVERY single damn word written! Talk about screaming HOLY CRAP to myself! How do I say 5++++ phenomenal stars because that’s exactly what I’m saying this book is! Get your butt reading because you will fall in love with this trilogy just as I have and I will definitely read this again in the near future because I just loved Hanna, Nate and Max.
I was invested enough to want to know how this trilogy panned out, but to make it to the end, I skimmed a bit. My biggest frustration was how no one tried to help Hanna piece together her missing memories.
One of my favourite tropes is triangles but the storyline seemed to circle a lot, with snippets of the past being drip fed into rotations as Hanna recollection of the past was revealed.
The men in question came across almost equally worthy of winning Hannah’s heart, one seemed the obvious choice, but I couldn’t pick which guy would win out until the end. For that reason alone, I think others who have enjoyed Ms Ryan’s books previously will want to read this series.
I know all good books need to come to an end but I was sad to see that last page turn. This series of books I could not put down. Even doing chores around the house I was always thinking about what was next and the story. I always wish that these amazing series are turned into movies. I know books are always better but the movie would be great. Another great series from Lexi Ryan
2.5 This series was given to me by someone dear. I enjoyed the storyline. It was a thought-out love triangle, but in my opinion, I'm not a fan of the love triangle troupe. The writing left something to be desired, but I'm not an author. Would I recommend it? Probably for a throw-away read like watching an episode of Friends. Nothing life changing, but totally checkout-able. I enjoyed it, but I wouldn't revisit.
Honestly, there were so many times I had to put this book down for a little bit. This one gutted me, made me change "sides" so many times, turned me on, made me smile, then gutted me a little more. It was a 654 page roller-coaster, but it was worth it for Hanna.
I enjoyed the emotional issues faced by the main character. The story is intense and had quite a few twist. I was pleased with the character,s final choice of partner.
An absolutely beautiful story from start to finish. My heart broke for Max but gotta admit that I was pulling for Nate through the entire story. A definite must read ❤️
This book hooked me from the start! Super easy read and it was sooooooo hard to put down. It had everything I wanted in a romance novel series. LOVED IT!!!
I usually prefer standalone books, but this series....wow! Loved it! I fell in love with Nate and Max, but I was so happy with Hanna's choice. I will most definitely read this series again!
I read the first book and loved it so I decided to buy this box set straight after. This series is so addictive that I could not put it down. Its packed full of mystery, romance, suspense and has some steamy scenes as an added bonus. I love the twists and turns in this story and the characters really draw you in. I can not wait to check out more books by this author.
I read these books as they were individually released and these are my reviews:
Lost In Me
First let me start out by saying I absolutely loved the New Hope Series by Lexi Ryan and while I think the Lost in Me Series can be read without having read the New Hope series I seriously recommend you start with those books first as I think you will appreciate Hannah’s story and the characters more….
That being said, I couldn’t put this book down, I just had to get to the end, it was that good. This story is different because our main character has amnesia and you find yourself trying to piece everything together with her and at some points you become as desperate as she is to find out the answers. There are times when you think you have it all figured out and then you flip the page and your like ya, not so much. Lexi Ryan keeps you guessing until the very end and even then you still aren’t completely sure…..
I loved Hannah (actually all the Thompson girls) in the New Hope series, but related to Hannah mostly because I share many of her insecurities. I was so excited to find out she was finally going to get Max and her happily ever after… only Nate had me from the minute his character was introduced.
I am not sure what Ms. Ryan has in store for us in the next two books, but I can tell you I am anxiously awaiting their release dates. I strongly recommend you buy this book, you will not be disappointed!
Fall to You
For the love of all romance triangles… how do I write this review without spoilers lol…. This book is so damn good, but I swear Lexi Ryan is trying to kill her readers and of course we love her for it…
I was so team Nate (as I am sure most of you were) when I read Lost in Me but I gotta say Max really shines in Fall to You and now I am not so sure…. I felt so many different emotions while reading this book -- I was swooning, crying, ready to throw my kindle across the room and excited to fill in the pieces all at the same time. I’m not gonna lie you won’t have all the answers when you finish, but it will still be worth the read …
I am not sure what Lexi has in store for us as an ending, but I can tell you I am anxiously awaiting the final book!
All for This
What an absolutely perfect ending to this roller coaster ride of emotion!!!! Be ready to read this book in one sitting!!! It is so good once you start you won’t be able to stop until you are finished!!
Team Nate or Team Max?!!! This has been a question that has been plaguing me since I started Lost In Me. I started out being team Max all the way and then we meet Nate and I was like move over Max it has to be Nate!!! Then I thought wait I really like Max again and then at one point I was just hoping Lexi would pull a Nicole Edwards and the three of them would live happily ever after together!!! I know crazy right?! I just couldn’t decide with my whole heart who I wanted Hanna to be with. Well we finally get our answer and let me tell you this book was just as amazing if not more amazing than the first two and you will not be disappointed with the ending!!!!
I am traditionally not a love triangle kinda girl, quite frankly the angst is just too much for me, but with Lexi Ryan’s fantastic writing I was surprisingly okay with it during this story. These books are so more than that, with such a great cast of characters and throw in the amnesia twist -- she just keeps you guessing until the end. Lexi Ryan brings this great trilogy to a fabulous end like only she can do!!!
New author for me, but the storyline for this box set had me intrigued - amnesia and stuck between loving 2 men - so how would this play out?! I loved the storyline from the outset. The story is told from different POV's with flashbacks in time as Hanna's memories try to return. Hanna is a really great character that changes and evolves throughout the books as her memory comes back. Max seems to be the perfect husband material for her, she's grown up with him, crushed on him and he's hot and sexy - until we meet Nate, the sexy rocker, hot as hell - but where does he fit in this story?? Fab!! Loved these books and devoured them in 2 days. Great twists in the plot had me shouting out loud at the book. Definitely worth a read.
I was so excited to see a box set of the Here and Now series! I was a die heart Mate fan from book 1. He and Hanna were destined to be together. I was shocked to see what actually happened when Hanna fell. In book 2 my heart started to see the kind side of Max. Never changing i still rooted for Nate. The conclusion and ending were spot on perfect. I plan on reading more of Lexi Ryan's work.
This set was just awesome and I really don't have words to say just how great this series was and I will read it again soon that's how much I loved these books.I really wanted Hanna to be with Nate, but there was nothing wrong with Max,two men very much in love with one woman, how does that not make a great love story.Always did love your books and they just keep getting better. To sum it up great job as always, you keep writing and I will keep reading.
This series had me wanting to keep reading, I like that feeling. The story at a few points did get confusing but I kept up the reading and it did work itself out. I truly was happy with the relationship of Nate and Hanna. I felt from the very beginning they were meant to be. I would recommend this series , great story and happy endings you'll enjoy.
Enough angst to fill a very large warehouse. I loved this story. I had never read a book by this author before, now I need to look up hart other books to read. I enjoyed all the ups and downs in this book.
Fast read, really enjoyable. The amnesia spin added a wonderful twist to the story, I really enjoyed it. You can read my full review of each book in the series here.
This was a rollercoaster, love and hate but a just could not put it down, every time I thought I new what was going to happen I was wrong, I loved it but at times I got confused with the back and forth in time but such a good book at the end
Once again, Lexi Ryan has left me craving more about the New Hope clan. Sexy! Sad! Frustrating! Heartwarming! Did I mention sexy??? Loved running into past characters and felt like I was part of this crazy love triangle that is Max, Nate and Hanna!!
I am glad that all three books were in this series because Ms. Ryan tore my heart out and my emotions ran rampant while reading this series. I was so torn between the two heroes. This is a roller coaster of a ride and a great read.
