When you are a young adult in the Etheric Empire, your life can be changed in mere moments.

Often for the better.

Starting a business before you graduate school isn’t exactly normal. Luckily, Anne has the support of Jinx, her friends—and a new mentor in the shape of Frank Kurns.

The first steps into adulthood are never easy.

Especially when you have the responsibility that comes with being powerful to live up to. Anne realizes she has to step up her fighting game to be in the public eye.

Together, the young woman and her partner, Jinx, have a future to affect.

Set on the foundation laid by the Kurtherian Gambit Series, this story tells about one of the fan favorites and her new partner. Together, they just may be instrumental in changing the future of technology and life.

Love love love

I absolutely love this story. It ties greatly into the Kurtherian world that I have been pulled into. I adore Jinx and Anne. Thank you Mr. Anderle for all that you write and bring to fans like me...

It ended far too soon...

I'm really, really hoping that Stephen is writing, or is going to write, more of the Anne and Jinx books, as this one stopped at a bit of a cliffhanger!

I'm so enjoying this series, even if it was written for the young adult in mind - I guess I've just never grown up, or that the books really do appeal to every age group.

I'm loving how both Anne, and Jinx, are maturing so quickly - but then, with all that's happened in Anne's life, that's not really surprising, I guess!

But, leaving the story as it ended would be a cruel and unusual punishment so Please, Stephen, could you write some more?

According to my list, I go back to the original KG series, to read Forever Defend, so it'll be interesting to see if Anne and Jinx are mentioned there!

Etheric Researcher is brilliant.

Please, please, please give us more of Anne and Jinx' adventures, these books are funny, informative and I just couldn't put them down. I'm really eager to see where the STORIES (yes many more please) are going to take this group of brilliant youngsters. Maybe the weapons they make will be integral in saving the Etheric Empire, who knows, but I can't wait to find out. You must read these books, I'm 55 years old and have had great pleasure in reading many of the books from Michael Anderlei and his co-authors, in the Kurtherian and Oriceran Universes.

Quite simply a great series the books are quite short but very punchy. I love the various interactions and really hope that this series is continued both up to the disappearance and during it. Its an interesting side story in the Kutherian Universe but a great read even as a stand alone. In fact it may well be a good starting point and if you like this universe and have not read it previously there are loads (50+) books from various authors across the period currently covered.
Just enjoy unusually for a universe with diverse authors there are no authors that I do not read and I have gone on to read other books by a number of these authors.

My one and only complaint? You should have developed this series further! The story is truly inspiring, the main characters are excellent role models for young adults, and there is so much more potential story to be told! I am 70 years old and LOVE the entire Kurtherian Gambit Series, but especially the Young Adult stories. Why? I never married and yet I still have a parent's desire to see young adults strive and succeed and I am certain there are many more of us out there! The plot is easily followed, the characters, young and older, are beyond fascinating, and the premise is worth speaking about and learning about as well. I cannot praise this line of storytelling highly enough.

Bout Time

I love this series and after reading MA's book I am so happy to see this story line continue. If your reading this review then I recommend you get the book preferably the whole series, sit back in your most comfortable reading position, make sure to have drinks and snacks near by, then open the first book and start reading. When you finish you too will hopefully write a review encouraging others to experience the best stories that are the most fun one can have and keep you wanting MORE.

So good!

I've found this books pretty late. Book 3 is out and I can see everyone saying they waited for it, but I didn't have to, and I'm really glad of that. They're so much fun. The characters are awesome, and I'm thrilled with Anne and Jinx's progress and really worried about whatever it is seshet is up to in the background. Seems like something that might cause chaos later on. I now become ones of the hoard waiting for another installment. I don't mind at all though. Just glad I found them.

Great YA Series!

If you read the Kutherian Gambit books, Anne is referenced quite often. I'm loving learning more about her and Jinx! I'm 46 years old y'all, so YA isn't just for teenagers. I'm hoping this series continues because this girl has a lot of questions about how Anne's research shapes many thing in Michael Anderle's main books. And spoiler alert....I want to know what event lead up to the disappearance. Maybe it's discussed in another series I haven't reac yet, but I'd really like to know more!

Great Progression

It is really hard growing up fast when new demands come your way and you are only 16. SR and Michael do a wonderful job adding characters while still having our teens grow into their roles.
Jinx and Seshat have equal time and their own interactions as well as Stevie, and newly developed Tina and Gina. The curiosity and explorations are realistic as well as concerns when you realize you have an adult business to run. A lot of fun with new weapons, sneaky people, and a new creative team. All is good here!

Yep, another good story

Ok, I admit it I'm a big Kurtherian Gambit fan. I've enjoyed this spin off a lot. I really hope Stephan and Michael continue on with it. If this series is the first look you've had at the Kurtherian universe I do recommend reading Michael Anderles Kurtherian Gambit series starting with Death Becomes Her first so you have a better understanding of what's going on in the Kurtherian universe. Highly recommend these books.

Tears of laughter.....

OMG there are so many moments of tears running down my face from laughing so hard when reading this book!! Stephen Russell, you have done a brilliant job writing this book, I LOVE IT!! Anne is showing her personal and ethical growth in this book. It is wonderful to see her grow and become the business woman and developer that BA knows she can be.

Great cooking of age series

It's great seeing how Anne, Jinx and the rest of her companions continue to grow into those that can strive to accomplish more and more. Anne serves as a great role model teens growing up and wondering about the future. The stories need to continue to close the gaps mentioned in the Kurtherian Gambit universe. Thank you Stephen for being well enough to write again.

Finally - another Anne & Jinx story

I read the first two books in this series as soon as they came out and have been anxiously waiting for this one. Great job keeping the story going. I love the YA aspect of this series as well as the tie in with the BA books. There hasn’t been a single KGU author who has disappointed me yet. Please keep writing these.

Well worth waiting for!

Due to the author's ilness, it has seemed like forever waiting for this book. Now that wait is over and we can rejoice that his recovery has brought us this exciting and excellent tale. I really hope that it will not be too long before the next book, as Steven leaves us wanting to know what comes next. Please stay well, we need that book.

Anne and Jinx are more than anyone expected

I'm really happy to see another chapter in this book series.
Even though it's technically a young adult story it messes with the rest of the kurtherian Gambit and I'm glad there's finally another episode because it's just fun reading!

Well worth the wait

I really love these books about Annie and Jinx, and am so happy that SR Russell is continuing the stories. He did an awesome job in picking the story up right were it left off. There is lots of humor in the books and plenty of action. It's also great to see quite a few of the characters from the original series. I hope there are many more to come.

A great story!

Start with book one, Etheric Recruit, and enjoy the ride. Or read this book then go back to the first two. I'm certain you will want to!

For fans of paranormal space operas, The Kurtherian Gambit series and it's other spin-offs. Try to get some sleep before you start reading! You'll need it.

The only complaint I had about this book is it ended too quickly. I was anxious for it to continue on forever. Great character development and really enjoyed the Queen's direct involvement. Seems to be aimed a little more to include younger readers than the majority of KGU books, but given the ages of the main characters, that's appropriate. Keep them coming.

Etheric series is a good time

I had a great time reading the adventures of Anne and Jinx. They are an interesting and entertaining pair. I liked her various exploits in the book, but wished they explored the Etheric more. I am glad her company is coming along. The biggest problem I have with the book is I wish it was longer. I hope you have a fourth installment.

I am 52 years old

With that said, I love a good story I love to dive deep and imagine myself in the movie/book. You see the compassion and love our protagonist isn't afraid to show. She has her family not the one she was borned into but the one she needed thank you to the authors, for continuingly pushing and evolving the characters.

I finished all three books in 4 days (only because I got a late start on the first one!). I love the melding with the 'BA' books and the storyline seems like it could go on and on! So please do!! I hope none of us have to wait too long for the next one (big evil grin). Come on, S. R., lay some on us!

Good story for a younger crowd. Having been both a sixteen year old young woman and the mother of a sixteen year old young man, I chuckled through most of this story. I became a prodigious reader by the time I hit 8 and would have enjoyed this story a lot by the time I hit 8. I would have envied the protagonist a lot by the time I was 16.//her own place! Anyway, I recommend this for young readers everywhere. Enjoy!

Addition to Anne’s series

I’m so glad that we’ve finally got additions to Anne’s series! The early books interested me, then just stopped. I look forward to finding out more of what Anne explored and created, and what led up to her disappearance. She’s referenced several times in the Kurtherian Endgame series and I hope she finds her way back!
Enjoy!

Wish the series continued

This was a nice little story that picked up from the last one. Plenty of fun banter. We get to see some great ideas. I wish there was either and Epilogue or another book to detail that they got the rubies manufactured and how well their business is doing.

They’re back!

I’ve missed Anne and Jinx. It’s wonderful reading about them again. An amazing pair with a lot to get done. This is a great YA series, and it’s wonderful that Stephen is able to continue with it.

Anne and Jinx ARE BACK

I don’t know if you have read any of the other stories about the duo, if you have, you’re in for a treat. Jinx and Anne have received permission from BA to start their own company, charged with research into the etheric A great read.

Worth the wait

This book was a long time coming due to unforseen issues with the author. But it was well worth the wait. Live the whole series this is part of and the rate that the books are released keeps me on my toes. Excellent job ¡
