you get one wish - Google Search

Wish is a stand alone romance by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. If you are a fan of Mimi’s, as I am, you might raise an eyebrow when I say stand alone! But this one really is, and it is amazing. Mimi Jean has once again created a story where you just aren’t sure what is going on, how to explain things. It kind of reminds me of how I felt when I first read her book, Fate Book, which I also deeply loved.

Ginnie Angelico is an artist. She creates beautiful art from repurposed broken glass. And now more than ever, she needs to keep making her art and sell it. Because she needs the money. Her boyfriend took her money, then cheated on her, leaving her with a mortgage she couldn’t afford and no money. Her heart was broken, her trust destroyed.

From New York Times bestseller Mimi Jean Pamfiloff comes a sexy standalone novel.

It’s on one of her glass finding missions that she finds the most beautiful bottle she’s ever seen. Only to discover that inside is a message, telling her she will be granted one wish. But Ginnie is a believer that you don’t take what you haven’t earned. You don’t take charity. But then, a mysterious, beautiful man starts showing up. A man whose eyes pierce right through her. A man who demands that she make her wish, so he can grant it.

“With one look, this man has the power to make me feel like a goddess.”

frozen lake - Google Search

Ginnie doesn’t want to feel anything for this man but her body disagrees. The more she gets to know him, the more intriguing he is. There are so many secrets, things she needs to figure out.

“Standing here now, staring at his tall, well built frame, I feel so much more than lust. It’s a tingle in my stomach. It’s an ache in my heart.”

In true Mimi Jean fashion, she keeps us guessing. Is he a true magical genie that can grant wishes? Of one thing Ginnie is sure, is that no matter what he is, her heart wants him. But is it a risk she can truly take, a risk that her heart will get broken again?

From New York Times bestseller Mimi Jean Pamfiloff comes a sexy standalone novel.

I loved this book and could not stop reading. I had to know what was happening. This is one of those books that as soon as I saw the cover, I knew I had to read it, even before I read the synopsis. And I am so glad I did. You definitely need to put this on your must read list. At the end, Mimi says she is going back to her OHellNo series and is working on book six, Wine Hard, Baby. I can’t wait!

Mystery man!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙🖤❤️💜
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘📔
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌍🌎
Character development: 🤨😟😳😍

The heroine: Ginnie Angelico - she is an artist and a businesswoman. She makes one-of-a-kind glass mosaics with glass she finds at garage sales, estate sales and thrift stores. She has a broken heart, a struggling business and is in some severe financial straits due to her cheating ex-boyfriend Greg.

The Hero: Mr. Wish - he is 6 feet 4 inches of handsome muscular hotness. He drives a black Mercedes and tends to be a bit grumpy.

The Story: Ginnie is out looking for glass for her art and she comes across an old bottle that she really likes and wants to keep for herself. However, a handsome man takes it right out of her hand and leaves with it in his black Mercedes. Then she finds the same glass bottle on the shelves of a thrift store later and ends up buying it. Though after that she keeps seeing a black Mercedes everywhere she goes. Also, she finds a note in the bottle that gives her one wish. But Ginnie doesn’t believe in things like wishes.

As usual, Mimi Jean included a ton of humor in this book. The premise was definitely an original and an awesome one. I can think of about a hundred million things I would like to wish for. Although the note has a bunch of stipulations about the wish, it was almost like a legal contract. So, it was hard to tell if this was a paranormal story or just a story about an eccentric billionaire giving away wishes to random people. Either way it was a fun story.

Mr. Wish’s back story turns out to be a fascinating tale and was so original and unpredictable. I just love a book that can surprise you in that way. I swear everything I guessed about his background was completely wrong, not even close to what it turned out to be. Though it certainly held my interest, and I liked the way everything came out. It was told all from Ginni’s point of view which definitely kept up the mystery around Mr. Wish. I also liked the way it was both realistic and magical.

Ginnie Angelico's life had turned into complete cow dung. Not only had her ex cheated on her and made off with all of her life savings, she was stuck with a house she couldn't really afford and a career that may not take off. She was up the creek without a paddle. She loves making her glass pieces, finding used glass works to break to make into something beautiful and new. On the hunt for some new glass, she comes across a unique piece at a yard sale. A too bad and too hot for his own good guy steals the bottle right from her hands. Ah well. What are the chances she'll find a piece like that again? Oh, the force was strong because a trip to the local thrift store has her finding the exact same bottle! What was this? Fate? Serendipity? Kismet? The workings of a mystical being or the workings of a grand imagination?

Mr. Wish was the proverbial genie. He showed up everywhere, his bottle kept appearing, despite how many times and ways Ginnie got rid of it, and he was insanely hot and mysterious. He only wanted to give you what you most desired. There were conditions and rules to each wish and this part of the story proved most interesting. I loved the generosity of his spirit and his determination to spread happiness.

While I enjoyed the heck out of the premise of this story, I found it difficult to actually connect to it. Marus's story held so much potential, but because this entire tale was told through Ginnie's perspective, I found it impossible to become invested. At times this story was so ridiculous that I couldn't help but laugh and I think that was the author's goal. I haven't read an MJP story that hasn't prompted my giggles. Wish was a twist on fantasy that brought with it a lot of warmth and realism. It made me wonder what I would wish for and if Marus would even find me deserving. It gave me the freedom to question my own goodness and I appreciated that that was what drew me into liking it. If you love a taste of the unknown, a bit of fantasy mixed with altruism, a touch of romance with a hint of mystery, this story is just the read for you!

Warm, funny, cute, angsty, mysterious, steamy and with a hot as hell hero - the perfect book

What should a girl wish for when she meets the genie from the bottle? Well Ginnie didn't want to make a wish, because she was determined to make her own way in life, not rely on others. Though the sexy AF guy demanding she makes a wish does have her desiring something.

Wish will keep you guessing through out the story. Is Mr Wish/Marus for real? Can he really grant wishes? How is it legal for a man to be so hot? The plot winds its way along, entertaining you as it goes. There is a sprinkle of just about everything you could want in a romance story and it kept me enthralled from start to finish. I absolutely adored this feel-good book.

Fantastic characters, great writing, unexpected twists, gentle humour and scorching hot chemistry makes this a must read book for anyone who enjoys good contemporary romance. A book to read when you don't even feel like reading because it will suck you in, wrap you in a wonderful experience and leave you so very satisfied.

If you had one wish, what would it be for? Might just depend on the day and the circumstances, right? Would it be a selfish wish or something magical? Mimi Jean Pamfiloff’s standalone romance, WISH is pure Mimi, sassy, fun, endearing, sexy and trust me, there will be times when you aren’t quite sure about what is going to happen next or who these characters truly are! One thing for certain, you will fall in love with this tale of love, loss, discovery, and yes, a bit of special magic!

Ginnie is an artist, burned by love and betrayal, but re-building her life slowly. Then HE walked into her life, promising to grant her one wish, anything her heart desired. Was he a little crazy, was he for real? One thing for sure, he jumbled her heart and her thoughts…was Fate playing a cruel joke on her or was it putting her right where she needed to be?

Absolutely loved this tale as Mimi Jean Pamfiloff adds her signature voice, blending sweet, bitter and slightly quirky aspects to perfection! My only complaint, it ended before I was ready to let go, no matter how hard I hit the next button on my Kindle!

I received a complimentary ARC edition from Mimi Jean Pamfiloff! This is my honest and voluntary review.

Wishing ⭐️

The first thing that comes to my mind now is

When it takes me 4 days to read a 300-pages book, that’s never a good sign. To be honest, at some point I grew too curious to drop it, but i thought about it a lot.

You can get a quarter of the whole picture by reading the blurb. What you don’t know is who’s the man who shows up at her door btw, he’s not just ringing her door bell, but breaking in a couple of times) and what’s with that note in the bottle.

For most of the time I was

Then I was

As I’m not one to offer spoilers in my reviews, can’t give you any more details about the plot, but I can try to describe my feelings. Well, my feelings are like this

Thankfully, Mimi Jean Pamfiloff tells me what I was thinking since the first page, but couldn’t put it into words:

“I want a fairy tale, but it has to be real.”

Nothing about this story can be real. I need a stronger word than “unbelievable” to explain this utopia.

“What in the steaming-pile-of-secrets is going on?”

The answer comes at the very end. Until then, I was shocked, rolled my eyes, huffed and puffed and wanted to

You know those dreams when nothing makes sense? This was “Wish” for me. I couldn’t connect with the story. The blurb should offer more information, because if I had known half the craziness of this book, I would have never requested the arc on Netgalley and be forced to read and review it. I would have dnf-it 25% in.

I’ve noticed it has a lot of good reviews, so it’s 100% a case of

I’m sure that chick-lit fans will actually enjoy it a lot. One thing I liked it was that genie in the bottle thing. Of course I constantly asked myself what would I wish for.

”ARC provided through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.”

It would be an absolute honor to have you as my guest on my blog too. Stop by anytime you want :)

Wish by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff was not a premise that I've read before. It is described by the author as contemporary romance. However, I found myself wondering throughout the first half of the book whether or not this could be Paranormal/fantasy. The author entertained me and kept me guessing because while this book is definitely of the contemporary genre, there are magical and whimsical elements throughout the pages. I found myself trying to unravel the mystery that is the hero, Marus. The reveal is slow and steady. And during all the information brought forth to me, I still wondered, "Is this guy for real?" I would definitely admit the author kept me engaged.

I thought this book was imaginative and fun, until it wasn't. That said, there are some dark moments that come to light during the last chapters and because of that Marus became someone I didn't like. Don't worry, he does redeem himself and there is a beautiful happy ending. But I'm afraid to say, even with that ending, I couldn't forget Marus' actions or the hurtful words he spoke to Ginnie. I'm sorry to say, it bothered me a lot. In addition, another element of the book I was disappointed with was the lapse of time between the "incident" and the reconciliation. Also, I really wished this book was written in dual POV; I would have loved to be inside Marus' head. Hey, that's just my personal opinion and you may very likely not feel the same. Mimi Jean is a great story teller and I read several of her books prior to Wish which I enjoyed very much. Just because this book hit a bump for me doesn't mean I hated it. I did enjoy it right up to almost the end. And as this is a fun and original premise, I recommend it. And as I mentioned, there were only a couple of aspects that disappointed me, personally. You might be fine with them.

This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. :)

Like most everything else by this author, this book was totally unique. It wasn’t quite paranormal, but rather a romance with a hint of the charming and mystical thrown in. It was cute and thought provoking and did not turn out like I thought it would. It had a magic all its own, and was just adorable.

Have you ever wondered what you would wish for if you had one wish? Ginnie didn’t have to imagine as she was granted this very thing. And like every sane person, she immediately assumed that her genie with a bottle was crazy and delusional. This had me hysterical because it was a totally legitimate reaction I was not expecting. But when Ginnie finally realized that Marus, her gorgeous Mr. Wish, was completely serious (and not a crazy man to boot), she had to contemplate this very thing.

As with most of Mimi Jean’s books, any more information would ruin this story as it needs to be read for itself. But rest assured, it was adorable and insightful despite its snark and humor. Mimi Jean puts her characters in situations that we have all thought about and make us wonder what we ourselves would do. Her plots are fantastical and sometimes ludicrous, but always enjoyable. Wish will have you reevaluating what’s really important and keeping your fingers crossed for your very own genie in a bottle.

This was a cute read. It was decent and I enjoyed the story.

The protagonist's name is Ginnie (almost genie) - is it a coincidence? She receives a bottle with the request to make a wish from a mysterious hot guy. She's shocked and thinks she's losing her marbles. Said, hot guy and Ginnie have undeniable chemistry and there starts a whirlwind of a romance.

I like how it's very different from many contemporary books I have read before. Who knew you could potentially turn Aladdin into a contemporary romance.

I've always been fascinated with the idea of Genies or Djinn and I think it started with Aladdin or maybe even the cheesy old Larry Hagman tv show from the sixties. Whatever it was its something that I seldom see in books recently so I was very intrigued by this story. Its truly a tale that had me second guessing myself as the author takes her readers on a journey that isn't exactly straightforward. Is Marus really a magical Genie because there's no denying he's connected to a fabulous glass bottle ? I adored that Ginnie ( yes I see what the author has done with her name ! ) was hard wired not to accept charity so getting her to accept an amazing gift of a Wish was never going to be a slam dunk . This is a romance although I didn't find Ginnies instant almost obsession that convincing but I do applaud that the couple took their time to get to the very steamy scenes. So is this another fun and sexy paranormal story or perhaps something completely different ? To find out you really need to read this quick, imaginative story.
This voluntary take is of an advanced copy and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

I really enjoyed this book. It was so very different from anything I have read before. A little bit of a fantasy feel, without being a fantasy read, which makes Wish stand out from the crowd of romance books available. Wish had me gushing, guessing and giggling from start to finish.

The leading lady in Wish has her hands full with her hot mess of a genie, Marcus. It all starts with a beautiful, mysterious glass bottle. Ginnie, an artist who creates glass mosaic, is drawn to the beauty of the bottle at a yard sale. A series of encounters with a handsome stranger has her questioning the existence of "a genie in a bottle". What ensues is wacky, yet a heartfelt journey of self-discovery and love.

I felt the pace of Wish was perfect, as were the characters. I especially enjoyed the slow reveal of Marcus' story, the depth of his character was pieced together over time.

A quirky read that had twists throughout. Just when I thought I knew all the answers, it turned out I really didn't! This unpredictability makes Wish a five star read.

**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

I really really enjoyed this twist on a Genie novel. Mimi Jean pulls another cracker of a book out of her hat and the plot twist is great.

Ginnie is a strong woman who currently does not trust her gut about men anymore, she had a bad breakup with her ex greg who took advantage of her, leaving her in a bad place. With a strong friend in Olivia she has clawed her way back and is struggling with her art business.

Marus is a man with secrets, a man who also wants to make people lives better however he can, great with the stock markets her fulfills peoples dreams where he can and which helps him to feel better, anything he does for him makes him feel pain.

Ginnie is drawn to Marus on many levels and more and more about the secretive man comes to life until an accident changes everythingg.

I loved the ending and the positive way both came together and work with their future plans together.

Another well written, compelling read by the author.

You have one wish to make, what would it be?
Mimi Jean delivers another bell ringer with this incredible story that checks every box and then some.
Add a little mystical, magic in the form of a bottle and the man that goes with it and you have one heck of a compelling read.
Ginnie is an artist who repurposes glass to compose both her own art along with consigned work. She's been burned badly by her ex, so she's struggling. When a bottle she sees at a yard sale is snatched from her hand by a man who walks off with it, it sets off a classic Ginnie grumble. Imagine her surprise when she spies the bottle again at a thrift shop she frequents and grabs it up, along with some other pieces she needs to finish a piece she's working on. After a chat with the girl working the register she departs with her glass and spots a car that looks like the one the man who snatched it from her hand at the yard sale was driving. Coincidence? She heads home and going through her finds she notices there's a paper stuck in the bottle. She's got work to do, to get ready for the weekend farmers market where she encounters the man again. More shenanigans ensue and we meet Marus when he forces the wish issue with Ginnie. Marus is in the wish business. There are however caveats to the wish "contract" and Ginnie just stalls over the whole wish thing. Marus in part gives Ginnie what she wished for, with a few extras thrown in. Marus is one interesting, complex character and honestly I wish (no pun intended) more male characters don't have a few Marus qualities.
There's a great deal of mystery that surrounds Marus as well as we meet some side characters including his sister, the gal from the thrift store and Ginnie's own curiosity. Sometimes she can't leave well enough alone.
There isn't another thing I can add about this amazing read that hasn't been written. The plot was from the beyond, the characters well developed and the twists and turns, skids and slides were magical. I loved every single stinking second.

A wish isn’t a hope. It’s a plea to the universe to make your deepest desires come true.

Fabulous book Mimi Jean.... just fabulous. Wish is a genie with a bottle story but also a romance with a twist. It has a wonderful cast of characters and some references to her previous books which I found to be cute. This is a standalone book about a young artist who connects with this genie through her artwork.

What did I like? The mysterious factor of Marus was perfect... he showed up and disappeared on whim. Ginnie though was my favorite... starving artist with romantic ideals and her inability to be like everyone else with a wish. I laughed throughout this book, and just really found it witty and charming. A perfect read that held my attention, and kept it until the end.

Would I recommend or buy? If you know Mimi Jeans books then you know what your getting. This is probably going to be one of my favorites by her. The book starts out fantastical but changes midway to make the genie part more realistic than magical. I enjoyed it immensely.

Thoughts for the author? Congratulations on your new release! Five stars.... funny and charming story. I received a copy from Netgalley to read and give my opinion.

This was a surprising read! While it begins exactly as all magical tales should, it takes a turn and then another and another until I didn’t know where this story was going to end up.

When Ginnie finds an unusual vase, she soon finds herself face to face with a handsome, mysterious stranger who is offering her one wish for anything she desires. I loved that she didn’t automatically go for the obvious choice and because of it, her whole life changes.

make a wish on a falling star or on the first star you see and then make it come true!

I love stories that have some magic to them and while this one certainly took me in a direction I never saw coming, I loved every moment of it. Ranging from humor to a bit of darkness, I was completely engaged from beginning to end.

Oh boy!!!

Once again My thanks to Mimi and her team for the ARC copy of this book!

As always Mimi brings us funny and loving special characters.
Ginny
Mr Wish

These guys are the funniest! I found this to be one on Mimi's funniest books yet, and I loved it!
Mr Wish is a perfect combination of so many of Mimi's wonderful male leads, Kind, sweet, Crazy, Mean, strong, gentle, demanding. . . . . . .
and Ginny is your typical "I'm off asshat men forever" kinda girl after her ex took her to the cleaners leaving her with a huge mortgage and nothing else.

Ginny uses recycled goods, mainly glass for her mosaic art business, so when she finds a particularly beautiful glass vase at a yard sale she decides to keep it, until she finds it literally being snatched from her hands by some rude, crazy man. The next day, Ginny happens upon exactly the same glass in a local shop, and the fun begins!
Is this fate or what?

Oh, I know, I’d wish for Greg’s penis to fall off.

The message contained in the bottle says the finder can make one wish, but, there is a list of rules to go with it. Ginny decides she can't make a wish without impacting on other people, so she returns the note to the bottle. Now the fun begins! Mr Wish turns up on her doorstep, insisting she make the wish.
These two are hilarious together, throwing every reason in the book at each other about why Ginny should/shouldn't "Make the damned wish, Ginnie.", until tragedy strikes, and Ginny is face to face with the "real" Mr Wish, and she doesn't like him one little bit!!

As we know with Mimi we either get an awesome HEA, or a damn Cliffhanger. . . . . . . . . .
No spoilers here!

I LOVED this book!!!!
Well deserving of five stars.

Now I don't know about anyone else, but I always get a weird little thrill when a book takes place near where I live. A little voice in my head proudly says "yeah! I know where that is!" This newest Pamfiloff gem takes place partially in Albany, NY, and it surprises on so many levels.

We meet strong and independent Ginnie, who comes across a special bottle. With this special bottle comes a special man dedicated to satisfying one wish of hers. But there's a catch. Well, multiple catches. So how does a selfless entrepreneur choose one wish that supposed to give her a dream come true? It's not as easy as it sounds.

We also meet the strange and magnanimous Mr. Wish, and Ginnie is intrigued enough to find out more about him. Talk about going down the rabbit hole! Pamfiloff does her signature twist, and yet again, when you think she's going to zig...she zags. The story suddenly turns into a mix of riveting betrayal and commentary on greed.

It's laugh out loud funny in parts, gloriously romantic in others, and gleefully satisfying in the rest. We learn Mr. Wish's backstory, which is extremely interesting. I'm crazy about the chemistry between Mr. Wish & Ginnie, and my favorite scenes were between Olivia & Ginnie trying to decide how to understand Mr. Wish. My favorite line is from Olivia:
"Love is the most selfless act there is, Ginnie. "

This story is so delightful to read that I devoured it in one sitting. We all need a feel good story that reminds us that love's serendipity can be a marvelous respite from the anger of the world. But Pamfiloff shows us that love is not easy to achieve. Sometimes you need fate, luck and a little magic.

Don’t you sometimes wish there were more than five stars? Or that you had saved your five stars for something really really special? I do. This would be one of those books. I can’t tell you much more than the blurb does or I will give things away. I will say....don’t think that you will know what is going on till the end. Oh and what a ride it is. Mimi Jean you have hit another one out of the park with this book up down and sideways. Do you think I am gushing too much? Nope. I am a big fan but I have no trouble giving a bad review if I think the book deserves it. This book? Ten stars Mimi Jean Ten stars.

This story is intriguing, unique, mysterious and had me hooked the whole way through.
Ginnie's life is a little rocky. Her boyfriend cheats on her and leaves her broke.

Then, by chance, she finds a bottle with a note to make a wish. From that moment on, her life is flipped upside down. Is she going crazy?

Spoilers will RUIN the story. Trust me - to get the full effect, go in blind.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I wasn't sure what to expect and yet I'm pretty sure the author wrote it this way just to mess with us.

It's a perfect blend of fun and serious. Add in the angst and the mysteriousness and it's the perfect read!

Holy plot twist! Wish was a brand new and somewhat different–but terrific–story from one of my go-to authors, Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. With hints of the paranormal and a blend of contemporary romance with romantic comedy, I adored everything about this crazy-good tale.

The one constant I’ve found with MJP’s writing is that you never know what will happen but you *do* know all the twists and turns will be so worth it in the end. That describes Wish perfectly. I went into it thinking there would be a paranormal or woo woo vibe to it because, well, it’s a genie story. And while there was a bit of the preternatural... Read More

Ginnie makes art pieces from broken glass. She needs to make these pieces and hope that they sell because her ex took off with her money and left her with a mortgage that she can't afford.

Marus/Mr. Wish goes around granting wishes to people who find the glass bottles that he secretly puts around town.

Ginnie finds a glass bottle at a garage sale but some guy takes it from her and walks off with it. Later she finds the same bottle at a thrift store and takes it home with her. Inside the bottle is a piece of paper that says it will grant her one wish. But she thinks it's just some kind of joke until a guy knocks on her door and asks why she hasn't made her wish yet. Mr. Wish is at first a grumpy, kinda stalkerish guy that I have to say I really didn't like. He was a little pushy and showed up out of the blue and kept after Ginnie to make a wish when he knew she thought he was some weirdo.

What happens next was stunning and heartbreaking. Marus/Mason/Mr. Wish has a very complex background and as the secrets slowly unwound around him, I had so many emotions about him but in the end he really did redeem himself, it just took a while.

This story had my emotions all over the place but I stayed up until after midnight reading it because I could not put it down. I needed to see if things worked out and what would happen next. At one point I was shocked and felt so bad for Ginnie, but it's a good thing she's such a tough character because she really needed to be for a while.

This is the first book that I've read from this author but it won't be the last.

If you had one wish, what would you wish for?

Disclosure: I was given an ARC of this book via NetGalley but all thought and opinions are my own.

Have you ever requested an ARC and then thought to yourself hmmm should I have? Well that is how I felt, I mean the guy is hot, so that was my first thought but then I wondered would I enjoy even though I have read Mimi before and have liked them but still was questioning, and I seriously shouldn't have because I totally enjoyed it. If you had one wish, just one what could it be, leaves you perplexed right? Well that is what Ginnie felt, when she has this nut case Marus ask her that she thought like I would have that he was bonkers, but when she realized that nope he is not cuckoo for coco puffs she couldn't figure out what, I know I would have this problem as would most of us..But my friends it was cute...grab a copy and enjoy!

rcvd an ARC at no cost to author...voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions

Ginnie is a glass artist who finds herself in a precarious financial position after being betrayed by her now ex-boyfriend. When she comes across a glass bottle she appreciated it for its style and is skeptical when she is told it will grant her one wish.

Marcus is the sexy stranger who will grant her whatever wish she desires but she is still reeling from her last relationship and doesn’t trust her judgment when it comes to men especially when they come bearing gifts.

What a fun and unique story this turned out to be. Humor, heat, a few twists and great secondary characters all add up to a captivating story that will keep you entertained until the last page.

If I could have one wish granted, it's that this book will be your next spectacular read! With a very different and fresh premise, immensely endearing characters, a captivating storyline and a twist or several to keep you on your toes, this book is tons of heartwarming fun!

Ginnie Angelico gets a chance most people would give their right arm for: to have one wish granted. But Ginnie isn’t your average gal, and the master of the wish-granting bottle isn’t happy when she refuses to play by the rules.

Ginnie is still finding herself after being dumped by her ex, as well as trying to get her mosaic glass art business off the ground. She's not at all materialistic, and any wish she wants to make would benefit someone else, which is against the rules. But the man behind the bottle, now that's a different story. Although he seems to look into her soul and know what she's thinking, and he manages to appear and disappear at will, there's something about him that makes Ginnie want to uncover all of his secrets.

This book has so much awesomeness in it I can’t find the words to sufficiently gush about it. I adore this heroine, with her strength, independence and ability to see the good in people. At times, too trusting, like leaving her back door unlocked (no, that’s not a euphemism), she learns to rely on her intuition again. And our hero, well, he gives a whole new meaning to tall, dark and mysterious.

This author is new to me, but she has a fan for life after my reading this book. It's low on angst with plenty of humor throughout, but heavy on chemistry and overflowing with heart. I flew through this riveting story in one sitting and I hated to see it end. These characters effortlessly absconded with my heart but left me with a smile on my face and a happy sigh in my soul. If you’re looking for something fun, fresh and full of feels, this is that book, and you absolutely won’t want to miss it!

I couldn't wait to get my hands on this and as soon it landed on my kindle, I devoured it! I did not know what to expect in this book and I was constantly surprised. It was quite a shocker to me.

Ginnie having recently been swindled by her ex is primarily focusing on her art and making enough money to pay the bills. To her utter surprise–or horror–a glass bottle keeps on popping up together with a handsome stranger making demands of her. No matter how many times she tries to get rid of both, they never go away. The only way out of this is for her to make a wish.
Ridiculous–she knows–but what a girl gotta do? Only Ginnie does not wish for anything at the moment. She has everything she needs and if she doesn't then she will work hard to get it. But the Genie that accompanies the bottle demands her to make a wish. She has something in mind when she looks at this gorgeous stranger but it's something she cannot voice out loud. If only he can help a girl out...

Ginnie was quite admirable. She is a selfless independent woman who works hard and tries to spread joy around her. She has been hurt in the past and has trust issues when it comes to men, but that doesn't stop her from taking a risk and giving her heart away. I loved how she always spoke her mind in this book and it had me cracking up on occasions. I did not expect the twist in this book and I was utterly heartbroken. I cried because I was furious and felt my heart breaking together with Ginnies. I hated it.

Either than that, I enjoyed the book, immensely. This book gave me some good laughs and I cannot wait for what's next from Mimi Jean.

ARC REVIEW

Meet Mr. Wish the polar opposite of King.

It's so Mimi, really taking us by surprise and giving us something completely different
description

A completely enjoyable story. Characters you wish were real and an immersive story, it pulls you and doesn't let go even after the story is over. It will have you looking for genie bottles for your own Mr. Wish.
Ginnie is an artist, she creates glass mosaics. She use to be a teacher until her boyfriend convinced her to move across the country to live with him be an artist full time and even buy a house. Then she walks in on him with another woman, and then he cleans out her bank account and leaves her with a mortgage she can barely cover. Ginnie is just trying to stay afloat working on commission and with a stall in the farmer's market. The glass she uses in her art is all repurposed going to garage sales and thrift stores she finds all the best stuff, including a very unusual glass bottle she wants for her collection. When Ginnie gets home she discovers a message in the bottle, she's has been granted one wish. A wish would make all of Ginnie's problems disappear but she doesn't want the easy way out it's probably not even real to begin with but then he shows up, the most gorgeous man she's ever seen and he's telling her to make her wish.
What follows is an emotional and funny tale of wish fulfillment. Mr. Wish is a mysterious and sexy addition to the Hunks of Mimi. Ginnie is a bright, talented, strong, and stubborn woman just like we like them.
Overall, it's another winner from Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. Yes it is a complete stand alone. (I still don't believe it. Mainly because I can see a crossover with King happening.... well that's my wish anyways.) It's a brilliant book.

This is the first book that I've read by this author and I didn't know what to expect. I really liked the story line and thought that it was written fabulously and the title was great.

Ginnie has been going through a really crappy time lately and she just wants to get her life back on track. Her ex fiance has cheated on her and left her with quite abit of debt. Ginnie is quite self sufficient and hates accepting charity from anyone. Ginnie makes art , glass mosaics after her grandmother shown her how. One day while in a second hand store finds an unusually beautiful bottle. All Marcus ' Mr Wish ' wants to do is help people so why is Ginnie being so difficult ?
On the other hand who wouldn't love a real life genie ? Ginnie is not so sure.
( NO SPOILERS ).

This book is not what I expected but it in a good way. It will keep you guessing all the way through and I loved the twists that the author threw in. When you think you know what would happen, you won't. I absolutely loved the characters. They have a very strong connection between them both from the beginning and I enjoyed seeing how this story plays out.
If I could wish for one thing, what would you wish for ? This book is a beautifully written a real romance novel.

Thank you to the author and publishers for allowing me to read an early copy of this book.

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

This book is expected to be released 25th February 2020.

Mimi is one of those writers that writes stories so unique, but staying true to how her book matches the quirkiness that is her. Wish was one of those books. I couldn't put it down. In this book, Ginnie is a sort of free spirit, she loves hard when she loves, but her ex has put her through the ringer. She's having a hard time trusting. But a bottle has come into her life and changes everything. I don't want to give too much away because I think it may ruin the whole experience for you, I think its sooooo worth it to read. Its different, its refreshing, its fun, its sexy, its hot, its soul crushing, its mysterious, I loved it.

This is a standalone, the supporting characters were great. I loved her friends, their love and support for her. If you haven't read a story by Mimi, definitely grab one, two or ten! They're soooo unique and different from each other but so Mimi. LOVED Marus and Ginnie!!!!

Wish is one of those books where I had an extremely difficult time in deciding upon my rating. It was a solid three-point-five-star read, and I could not decide if I wanted to round up or down. In the end, I went with up because it was addictive enough to devour in a single sitting.

At first, I was a wee bit uncertain about Wish. I found it difficult to get into the writing style, and it took some time before I felt invested in the story. When things started to move, I was super curious. I had many ideas about how things would come together, and it had me turning the pages. There were a few things that were predictable, some details that were never explained as well as I would have liked them to be, and a few points when things were a bit too slow for my liking, but throughout I remained interested in seeing how things would come together.

As Wish is my second Mimi Jean Pamfiloff book and I enjoyed it a lot more than my first – a book that ended up being a one-star rating – I’m going to give another of the author’s books a try. I’m thinking the writing style simply isn’t for me, but I’m curious to see where I stand after a third book.

For fans of the author, however, this is sure to be an addictive read.
