A shiftless lion finds his mate in a woman with a scarred past.. 5 stars!
Just as shifter romance has quickly become my comfort genre, so has Cecilia Lane become my go-to author whenever I need something that I know I will love with the ability to transport me fully into the story. And I absolutely loved everything about Seth and Lilah's journey. Their pasts seemed to create the perfect storm for forbidden love between them, but as fated mates their attraction and unity was hard to deny. This story did not let up until the very end, and I just loved seeing all of the other lions mated and happy. I cannot wait to read Rhys and Sage's story next as I've been waiting to read it since book two of this series! ♡

Another great book in the series! Poor Lilah manages to live through a prison escape by the notorious Jasper Crowley. Now she needs a bodyguard and Seth is the shifter for the job. Lilah, who doesn't like shifters, is attacked while she is at her apartment but Seth manages to get her out safely. This is the start of their adventure. It gets more complicated when Seth, who was never able to shift, knows Lilah is his mate. He will protect her with his life. During their time together, Lilah starts to trust Seth and falls for him. There are more trials they go through before they get their happily ever after.

I liked this book much better than the previous one. Seth was patient, brave, and very likable. I liked that he took his time with Lilah and gave her a chance to overcome her understandable fear of shifters. Once he figured out his feelings, he didn't play games or deny Lilah. He was honest about wanting to be with her which was nice. It can get annoying when the hero lies and denies his feelings.
Lilah was also very likable. She fought her fear of shifters head on. She didn't allow her past to make her prejudice. She helped troubled youths. She allowed herself to get to know and like Seth's pack. She was also kind in easily forgiving Lorne.
The story and romance was good. I liked that they didn't jump each other's bones right away. I am weary of the next book. The hero already had a mate who was murdered so he doesn't want the heroine.. :/ I tend to not like these type of romances bcuz of the over self pitying of the hero. He wants the girl but sees himself unworthy so he is hot and cold. Yep. already calling it but will try it out.

For Lilah to go what she went through as a teenager and survive was a big thing, then to go through the shifter prison break, wow, one strong woman.
Seth is so wrapped up in his non shifting status due to his childhood that he doesn't see what's in front of him until almost too late.
Two people almost broken by their childhoods brought together in adulthood, both stronger than they believe they are.
These two are perfect for each other and in the same way that all of these books in this series have read, they belong together, it just take them both time to realize it, even if others do before them.
But as with the rest of the series, it held my attention from the start.

Trauma is the appropriate word for this story.
It just fits the plot. Seth and Lilah have their story now. And what a heartbreaker it is. Both have shifter iissues,but Lilah carries the painful scars of PTSD from a shifter attack at 15 that no one believes happened and the added of being the only surviving witness of a shifter prison break. As for Seth he has been ostracized by his former pack and kicked out over his inability to shift into his lion that he carries deep inside him. And now he's been given the unfortunate task of protecting Lilah from Jasper and his cohorts. Each eventually recognizes the mate calling but both must conquer their fears and their shame to win the other over. A satisfying read in this the 4th story in this Lion Hearts series. This is my voluntary review for the ARC I received.

Even though she was knocked down by her ex's family she bounced back but she has every rt 2 b scared of shifters cause of it but she does a good thing when she tried 2 find closure from the past but also a new beginning that she didn't foresee. Even though was a freak accident it would help her in her future but when she tried 2 put a future and a love that's unexpected she has 2 figure out what's her best option and if she can trust people again with not only her past but help her in her present and future. They both help each other the only way they know how. It's awesome!! But those fuckers that r trying 2 hurt her will get a rude awakening that they deserve!!

I am absolutely in love with this series! I have loved getting to know this group of unruly men and the women that can tame them. This book in no different. Seth is the protector, the man that is called when that skill is needed gets more than he knew. Lilah has been hurt in the past, leery of shifters, doing her job, until all kinds of trouble starts. I enjoyed the story, the action, the suspense. My heart went out to both Seth and Lilah. Great read, great series. I cannot wait for more!

Sparks start to fly as well as confusing thoughts since Lilah has a strong dislike for anything shifter related and Seth is a born shifter who can't.
Slowly, a shaky trust develops amid constant threats to Lilah and Seth coming to her rescue.
When everything implodes can a relationship be repaired or will the damage be permanent?
An exciting, exhilarating read.

I always look forward to a new book in this series, because the characters are so well written. Lilah may not be as strong as a shifter but she has so much heart. She stands up for the weak and the wronged as well as herself. Seth has been an outcast throughout his life, but he’s learned to fight and fight well. Danger is following both of them, can they escape the baddie and make a life together. Is fate wrong about this match? Great action romance!

Loved this story! Lilah is a woman who has dealt with her fair share of crap in life. This current predicament leads her right into the arms of Seth. He knows what it is like to feel isolated and alone. Seth is determined to keep Lilah safe!
They will discover things about each other that will make them very vulnerable in ways they can 't imagine. This story pulls you in from the beginning. There are twists and turns at every page turn. Have a fan ready for the intimate stuff because boy it gets steamy!!!

So freaking good
This series just keeps getting better and better.
Lilacs biggest fear is shifters after being attacked as a teen. Forced for work to come with to a shifter max she sees her boss nurdered and is used as a way to get out of prison...and now the guy who broke out is after her and only Seth can save her. Seth has always been shiftless. He is bad ass in his own right but can't shift. Hell do whatever it takes to save Lilah...especially when his lion starts to come to the surface...and it wants to mark Lilah as his mate.

Seth and Lilah’s story was highly emotional, but uplifting. Both have trauma to work through and it’s in your face type of trauma. Seth has been hired to protect her and brings her to the pack. I love the banter of the pack. It’s amusing how they give each other a bad time. This was a wonderful story that I couldn’t put down. I loved that together they made each other whole. I thoroughly recommend this book.

Seth is Dash's half-brother. Newly a member of the Crowley pride, he is hiding a secret. He can't shift into his lion form. Lilah has had problems with shifters in the past and now other shifters want her dead. Her sexy bodyguard insists he's not a shifter, but Lilah can tell something is different about him.
I enjoyed this book. I love the relationship between Seth and Dash, and also the rest of the pride. There was plenty of drama as well as steam.

Loved it!! Lots of action, suspence, danger and justice. Well written and awesome characters. I have read about some of the other couples in this series and highly recommend this book. Great series with all the heat you could want, well maybe. A must read.

Wow this was a very good read, Seth, Dash half brother had his own secrets. A shifter who couldn’t shift. He meets his mate and everything changes for him. More than once he saved Lilah’s life to almost accidentally cost her, her life. This one will keep you on your toes. Great read.

Seth and Lilah were actually really great. They had their struggles as all good couples do, but they came out of it just as I would have wanted. The part at the end where she is questioning if it was an accident was kind of silly though. That wasn't the question at all. Why did it need to be thought about even? All in all a pretty good one though. I wanted to see some solution to Jasper, but I'm assuming that will get taken care of in the next one with Sage so I will put that aside for now. I'm ready to see Rhys man up and Sage to come back to herself.

Lilah: wrong place wrong time. Now she doesn’t know what to do. Seth enters her life when she is just trying to survive. She is terrified of shifters and Seth doesn’t want to tell her his truth. Can these two get past their fears? Excellent writing.
