The Elements #1

Hidden Princess

Rate this book
How do you choose who lives and who dies?

I’ve been kidnapped and taken to another world, at least that’s what it feels like. This place is strange, the people stranger and I’m struggling to ignore the feelings I have for my captor.

That is until I find my missing mother, who is safe and well with my ‘father’ a man I’ve never known, and he is the king of this world.

I’m struggling with it all, and to add to this madness I’m told I’m powerful, and that magic exists in this place.

This place that I’m destined to rule, this place that I start to love, until I’m forced to make a choice between who lives and who dies.

Every decision I make has a price, everyone I love is put at risk, and I’m not sure that I will walk away intact.

If you like Graceling by Kristin Cashore or Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder, then the world of Saskia will entertain you for hours.

Loved this book, was hooked from page 1

Sarajane is kidnapped and taken to another world, Where she is reunited with her mother who disappeared 6 months earlier.
Sarajane discovers that she is not who she thought she was but is in Fact Daughter to King Morrick.
Through out the Book Sarajane learns more about herself and why everyone either wants to capture her or kill her.

The book is full of adventure twists and turns with in depth likeable characters I for one am looking Forward to Reading more if this series and discovering what is next in store for Sarajane and her Guardians.

Love this series!
“Hidden Princess” is an original paranormal tale of the world of Saskia. Hidden Princess has a captivating and engaging storyline of Sarajane saving the world of Saskia from the evil angel. This tale bursts with drama, action, and excitement delighting the reader. The main characters, Sarajane, Tristan, Neve, Kiar, and Alana are complex and authentic with depth and traits that blend and flow with magic and intensity. The cliffhanger brings us to the edge of end-of-the-world suspense and holds you there for the next installment. I loved this tale.

Besides the fact that the main character, Sarajane, was annoying me with her attitude I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I love a good book that takes you to a totally different world. The author does pretty good creating this world for you to envision. Definitely was not expecting the revelation towards the end! So that was a surprise. I lood forward to reading more about Sarajanes destiny and some more Tristan action.

I found this book to be an interesting take on a world full of magic and a girl who finds out she is a Princess. Add in danger, mystery, and magic and you end up with an addicting story. I loved how it was not all smiles and adventure, but more realistic in plot and characters. Everyone seemed a bit flawed and yet all ought for survival. The world was interesting and had that odd feel to it that you expected the unexpected to pop up anytime. I just liked the difference the story brought to the usual story of magic and princesses. Cannot wait to see what happens next.

What a great start to a new series. The world building was great and the characters had relatability that I really liked. There are many sides to the characters and I liked that we get to see different sides in different lights. The plot flowed but it was a little slow in some parts, but it was still a great read. But overall it was enjoyable and I will definitely pick up book two! M. A. Roth has a great talent for writing that is easy to see in the hidden princess.

A young woman is kidnapped and carried off to a magical world where she learns (hardly a spoiler given the title) that she is really a princess. The writing was competent but I didn't find the story to be a page turner. And why must so many YA authors write in the present tense? It feels affected and doesn't work well for most stories.

I really enjoyed reading the book and enjoyed the premise and the idea of it, my only issue that I had was that the characters were a little underdeveloped and made me hope for a little more emotion and writing would have gone into building them. Other than that I liked reading the book and seeing what happens in this series in later sequels.

This story really grab you from page one, especially with it being unique and not a boring fae and changelings story. Sarajane's story is full of secrets, magic, and choices which can change her life for better or worse. Be prepared for the cliff hanger, but don't let it chase you away. Can't wait to read the next installment.

Sarajane is kidnapped in the same woods that her mother was. Now she’s in an alternate universe. She has been lied to her whole life. This was an interesting and exciting journey for a young woman as she learns she isn’t who she thought she was. Now she has powers and is a princess and from an affair. And to top it off she has to be the one to save their world. Fun read

Kidnapped in the same woods her mother was taken from 6 months earlier, the last thing Sarajane expects is to be taken to an alternate universe and be reunited with her mother. Barely recovering from the trauma of kidnapping and shock of being reunited with her mum, Sarajane then meets her Father and discovers she is a princess of the realm.

Honestly I liked the ideas and story line in this book. It was well written with some good plot twist. But it fell a little flat for me. Parts were just not believable and others were great. The emotions did not
quite hook like they should have. It was a truly mixed bag for me.

I enjoyed this book. I liked that it showed some dysfunction in the family and also had some humor. The characters felt real. The author made it easy to understand the other world she takes you to. I'm looking forward to seeing the next installment in the series.

Not my usual but, absolutely intriguing read. Sara Jane had run into the woods after being attacked and now she was in another world facing her mother who had been missing for six months, this must be a bad dream time to wake up.yes definitely want more of this.

A good read

Over all this was a good read. The world was well built, characters are full and believable. The magic system is simplistic and solid. The plot line is great and there is a balance between character and plot. Only thing I didn't like was the main character but thank goodness she starts to grow up as she begins to understand the situation she is in.

A story of a girl that finds out she is a princess. It’s not at all what I expected, which is the typical changeling love story. This book had many more twists and turns and much more depth than other changeling tales I have read. I look forward to book 2.
