Even her scientific career didn’t prepare her for being abducted by aliens…
A biologist by trade, Amelia has always been curious about the world around her. She lives to learn and investigate, but those skills are put to test when she’s abducted by intimidating mantis-like aliens.
A cool, analytical approach helps her assess the situation when she is paraded as a prize for the intergalactic gladiator tournament. But she needs a plan to escape.
Enter Gage. One of the front-running gladiators of this season, he’s cocky, confident, and in-control.
Amelia knows what she has to do to get out of this place. But is going with Gage really worth it?
She’s just pretending to fall in love with him… right?
For the first time in his career, he wants to keep his prize…
As a Qai, Gage is accustomed to predicting his opponents’ next moves to take a victory. A former weapons engineer, he has the skills and talent to win this tournament – for the third time in a row.
He’s never been particularly interested in the female prizes, but this time, he can’t get the human female from his mind. She is different from the others. He wants to have her all for himself. He wants to win.
This time, he’s in it for more than just the money.
The female will be his.
Alien Gladiator’s Prize is the second book in the Star Gladiators sci-fi romance series, a scorching hot space adventure featuring an intelligent human woman and a strong, sexy alien who is determined to make her his.
This book drove me crazy. I feel like they thought a lot but didn’t communicate. If they had just talked to each other many things could have been avoided. Also who just climbs out a window overlooking a cliff before checking to see if the door is unlocked first. Really Amelia is a scientist, she should be smarter than that.
Before I get into the story. I just wanna point out that if I was a biologist, which I’m not, and some larger than life insects came to my apartment I’m pretty sure I would not think it was a dream. And when I mean larger than life I mean taller than I am with laser guns that shoot through walls! When I read the first chapter about Amelia think she was in a dream almost fell off the chair. you know you study things and has nightmares about things coming to get you, this is where you change your profession or sleep with lights on. Amelia’s brain believes she in is dream at before she decides to go to a panic attack when she realizes that she’s actually been a abducted. From there I just laughed half every time she came into some crazy scheme about how she was trying to get back to earth. Anyway, so Gage is a gladiator who loves weapons. he’s attracted her. He can for see more or less the future but he thinks that he can’t save the future because even though she resembles his race he can’t make heads or tails What’s wrong with Amelia. If you do make a good choice? Is she going to start screaming and running like a banshee? Or is he just going to except you know she’s just a little loony that likes bugs. Their adventure is funny it’s a little dicey at some points but eventually they get on the same page about how they feel for each other. Can’t wait for the next book if there is one because the first two were really good.

We were briefly introduced to Amelia and Gage in "Alien Gladiator's Claim" and this story happens parallel to Mal and Tanya's. This story is a bit different in that Mal was a slave and Gage is a free man. That means if Gage wins the competition, he is the one that gets to keep his prize where Mal's master would get all his winnings. Amelia was a scientist on Earth and initially thought about her abduction from a scientist's mind set. When the ramifications of her abduction and impending slavery hit her, she is determined to do everything she can to get her freedom. For as smart as she was, she didn't always find out all the facts before taking action. Gage is only focused on winning the competition until he meets Amelia. For a being that can predict the behavior of others, he is confused that he can't seem to predict what is going on with Amelia or what she is going to do.I loved Gage. Although he was a fierce fighter, he was a real sweetheart deep inside. They have a lot of misunderstandings that threaten them being together but they don't have to fight others to be together like Mal and Tanya did. You really do need to read book one first which will introduce you to the creepy Saithins and give you an understanding of what's going on as this is a continuation of that story.

Amelia is a human biologist who is kidnapped and taken off-world to be a prize in a gladiator competition. The reigning champion is Gage who, as a Qai, can predict his opponents’ next moves, making it easy for him to win. He never cared before about the “prize” female. But this time, he wants to win and keep the female. Will things work out for him? Or will Amelia still think about planning to escape, assuming she doesn’t fall in love first?
I enjoy this series and Gage is a likable character. The story line sticks closely to the previous book in this series, but there is enough uniqueness in the characters and the competition that I still find them intriguing. Grab your copy and enjoy!
This book 2 in the Star Gladiators Series is a well-written book in a sci-fi Alien romance series! The story is great and the characters have depth and you want to get to know them and they all have their own unique personalities. I really enjoyed this book. Amelia is a scientist specializing in insect behavior and is headed out on her biggest expedition when she is captured by insectoid aliens and sold as a prize. Gage is a former weapons expert who wanted adventure and became a freelance gladiator. He is very good. There's a tournament and prizes...
This is a story about two people who struggle to understand one another's wants and needs. Gage is two people: the fierce gladiator and a serene friend. Amelia is a slave who struggles with losing her brilliant future and her identity. They are drawn to one another, but can they resolve their differences?
So this is book two of the Star Gladiators Series. It follows the other book pretty well. It's fast paced and story-like will keep you reading till the very end. There plenty of action, adventure, survival, humor, mystery, alien abductions, struggles, romance, passion and love. Amelia is a biologist who is kidnapped and taken as a prize in a gladiator competition. Gage is the champion who is a Qai and he's never wanted a prize before but this one is different. He wants this female. Will he win his human? Will they be able to overcome their differences and love each other? Read the story to find out. This book happens in tandem with the first book. Gage and Amelia have great chemistry once Amelia accepts it. I understand the position Amelia was in, but some of her actions and such just turn me off her character. But regardless of my like or dislike of the female MC, I did enjoy the book and the interactions between the characters. Gage's race has the ability to predict things about people which makes him great at military and fighting. It was great watching him deal with not having that ability around Amelia. It forced him to have deal with a bit of uncertainty and I think that did him some good. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Star Gladiators... When an alien ship showed up outside her apartment Amelia thought she was dreaming. She was a renowned scientist on Earth yet ended up being abducted and enslaved to be used as a prize in a gladiator competition. Gage is the current gladiator champion working his way through the competition toward another win, which will win him Amelia. Both Amelia and Gage have something in common. They are attracted to each other but allow their insecurities to get in their heads resulting in poor decisions. I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily
Abducted from Earth, Amelia has become a slave and a prize to the winning gladiator, if he should choose her. She has no wish to be a prize, until she realizes it may be her only way to escape. When she thinks she’s found the most likely winner, she sets out to entice him. Gage is unexpectedly drawn to a human slave and potential prize. He’s stunned when he realizes that he can’t predict how she feels, or what she’ll do. How will he know how she feels about him, or what she wants? And that’s where things start to get very interesting.
This is the second book in the series, but it can be read as a stand-alone. Amelia is a biologist on Earth when she is kidnapped and taken to another world as a prize in a gladiator competition. When Gage sees Amelia, he wants the prize more than ever. Will they fall for each other or will Amelia find a way to get back home? Fast-paced steamy sci-fi read. Great characters and an entertaining story. I liked it.
The second book in the Star Gladiators series a well written story that kept me turning pages. Amelia a biologist, and Gladiator Gage who is a Qai's story. A woman that does not trust any more, and the Gladiator her wins her and has not told her that he has feelings for her. There will be misunderstandings that will cause of trouble for these two. I want to read the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Well written, vivid and colorful imagery, wonderful storyline. However, I had a hard time with this one. I normally really like anything Zara Starr writes, but I had a hard time connecting with the characters, caring about the story. For whatever reason, even though I REALLY wanted to love this story, I wasn't able to. I'll definitely be trying a re-read, hoping for better results next time!

Alien abduction romance. Amelia is a brilliant scientist. She never expected the bright star in the sky would lead to her abduction and slavery. Gage is a gladiator. He loves the fight and winning. Unlike most of the other fighters he is not a slave. So what he wins he gets to keep for himself. And the grand prize has definitely taken his interest. The story slowly builds the relationship and there are plenty of bumps and twists to it. Expect romance and some fighting.
I absolutely loved this book and was honored to have been able to read and review. It was such a phenomenal read and had amazing characters as well as an amazing story line. I just could not get enough of it and once I started reading it I could not put it down. I recommend that you read it.

This was a fun read with some really cool concepts. I found Amelia a bit annoying at times, and it seemed like her emotions were all over the place. There were a few bumpy parts, but over all very entertaining.

Amelia was kidnapped by aliens to be a prize slave for a gladiator. Gage wasn’t a slave but he still fought in the the arena against the gladiators and he was good. He wanted a human prize and when he saw Amelia and had her he knew she was to be his.at any cost. Fun and exciting read.

This is the second book in this series, and think its even better than the first one. The characters are crafty and intelligent. They are willing to work for what they want, but they are careful with their feelings. I am looking forward to learning more about this universe.
Different but the story is good. Very little time together. Most of what is going on is talk in their heads. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Another great book by Ms Starr. This time it was a bit more of emotions not so much of the fighting as in the 1st one. But it has kept to the same theme. Really enjoyed it, now on to the next one.
Gage and Amelia are quite a couple. They had their ups and downs but finally admitted that they loved each other. This was an amazing, exciting story that I really enjoyed.
