Born and raised in Hawaii, Amy made a perilous journey across the ocean with six cats to settle in the beautiful state of Oregon which reminds her a lot of Hawaii but without the cockroaches or evil sand. When she isn't trying to type fast enough to get down everything the voices in her head are saying while her kitties try to sabotage her with cuteness, she enjoys painting on canvases, walls, and anything else that will sit still long enough for the paint to dry. She prefers antiques to modern furniture, tea to coffee, night to day, and Tom Hardy to Tom Hiddleston. No; Tom Hiddleston to Tom Hardy. No, wait... Tom Hardy and Tom Hiddleston to Tom Cruise. Yes, that's it.

The Falling For Then Anthology is definitely a favorite with me. I'm always excited to catch up with some of my favorite RH authors and to be introduced to new ones.

VENOM'S KISS by ROMY LOCKHART

When a dying man is left on the steps of her nightclub, Queen Cobra Ava knows a threat has landed in her pit. It seems you can never outrun your past or the time of your true mating. I really enjoyed this cobra shifter story. I had never considered snake shifters before but this story worked for me. Danger, sexy times, and love. My only issue with it was Jennifer (a disgrace to my name). Absolutely stupidly unforgivable. I will leave it at that.

DOUBLE MIRROR by MIKI & GARRETT WARD
When Jana Jay has a vision of people trapped in a mirror realm, she and her men set out to rescue them. It's their job to protect both the living and the dead, but who protects them?
This story wasn't for me. I just wasn't a fan of the style of writing; it was a little too sweet for me. However, that's what makes an anthology fantastic. Something for everyone.

HARDKNOCK BOYS OF MY HEART by HARLOW LEIGH
What happens when a girl falls for her best friends…all of them? Should she hide her feelings from the only people she’s ever really considered family or take a chance on them? I have mixed feelings about this story. I really liked the characters when they were together. Loved all the guy POV's. Their backstories were all a bit much but I get it. I did have an issue with the errors. I read an early copy so hopefully, it's been cleaned up. It definitely needed editing.

DEAD SPACE by LEIGH KELSEY
In dead space, the remaining crew of the Nerve are being hunted. Every day, crew members vanish without a trace, and unfortunately, the danger doesn't end in space. I loved this story both in space and on the foreign planet. Great chemistry between the characters and an original twist. Definitely one of my favorite stories.

CLAIMING THE OWL SHIFTER by SOFIA ANN HOFFMAN
My name is Ava Jensen, and I’ve been hiding out for many years. They are after us all, whether or not you shift. Everyone on Earth is a target. But, we won’t go down easy. Prepare to fight or die trying.
Aliens and scientists. There is no safety for shifters. This is an entertaining story about the power of love. I will admit that my favorite character wasn't one of the main characters or even a human or humanoid at all. I adore Wooly kitty! Loved a certain sword lady as well.

SEA LEGS by AMY SUMIDA
Princess Evadne, Fifth Daughter of King Poseidon, has no desire to marry the three fiancés chosen by her father. So, when Eva's offered a chance to go on land, she jumps at the chance. But her guys won't give up that easy and Eva has a few regrets of her own. Definitely one of my favorites of all of the stories. The story was a good one and the character growth was excellent. Best of both worlds!

*Was it pure coincidence that the majority of stories featured a female with the name Ava or Eva?

No spoilers of any kind included.
So this is all I’m going to say about this anthology Falling For Them and that is I really enjoyed reading it.
Several amazing authors in it but I have to say that my absolute favorite story in this anthology was Double Mirror by Miki and Garrett Ward.
Don’t get me wrong all the stories were my favorite but Double Mirror just spoke to me more.
Anyway it’s going to be yes I most definitely do recommend this anthology to anyone who searching for something to climb into and get completely lost within the pages of these books.

Very different RH stories to cater for all tastes. I liked that the stories weren't very short, however that meant less of them. This was one of the weaker anthologies.

Venom's Kiss by Romy Lockhart 3 stars
*When a dying man is left on her doorstep, Queen Cobra Ava knows a threat has landed in her pit. Protecting her people might prove simpler than protecting her heart when the man she saves reveals the answer to her biggest problem. Nothing will ever be the same again.*
I am not a fan of that kind of dynamics in the harem (Ava calls the shots both as a queen and a lover) but what bothered me most was the disattachment from the story that I felt. It just did not grip my attention and I did not like FMC or the guys.

Double Mirror by Miki & Garrett Ward DNF
*When Jana Jay has a vision of people trapped in a mirror realm, she and her men set out to rescue them. It's their job to protect both the living and the dead, but who protects them?*
I DNFed this story because of the writing style. While writing in third person in present tense theoretically is okay, at least in this instance it seriously affected the flow of the story. It was way too formal and did not fit the characters.

Hardknock Boys of My Heart by Harlow Leigh 3 stars
*What happens when a girl falls for her best friends…all of them? Should she hide her feelings from the only people she’s ever really considered family, or will she be brave enough to tell them how she feels?*
This one had potential but... I disliked the heroine, also guys felt as one and I could not distinguish between them. The discussion about RH was way too easy both times.

Dead Space by Leigh Kelsey 5 stars
*In dead space, an alien horror hunts…
Floating in deep space, Julia and the crew of the Nerve combat an unseen foe. Every day, more crew members vanish without a trace, and menacing sounds echo through the night. It’s only a matter of time before the monster sets Julia in its sights.*
Hot and steamy alien sci-fi. Great writing, unique world and characters

Claiming the Owl Shifter by Sofia Ann Hoffman DNF
*My name is Ava Jensen, and I’ve been hiding out for many years. They are after us all, whether or not you shift. Everyone on Earth is a target. But, we won’t go down easy. Prepare to fight or die trying.*
Read 3 chapters and DNFed. It was too confusing.

Sea Legs by Amy Sumida 3 stars
*Princess Evadne, Fifth Daughter of King Poseidon, has no intention to settle down with the three fiancés chosen by her father. So, when Eva's offered a chance to escape, she grabs it with both hands and runs off on a brand new pair of legs. Let them catch her if they can.*
I could not relate to Eva at all. She was a spoiled brat, luckily she understood that too in the end. Plot was okay but had some holes, and I felt indifferent towards the guys. I expected better from Ms. Sumida.

I sadly havent read the whole book but i definitely will soon

My review of Dead Space by Leigh Kelsey

Something is taking crew members on Julia's (FMC) spaceship and with her mate Kiv as well as whats left of the crew Sinna & Ruhar its a case of survive or die. Different planets, suspense and plenty of sexual exploits this book pretty much has it all. Ill be honest books set in space dont generally float my boat but this one is really good. Great characters and story that kept my glued to it until the very end. A damn fine read

Hardnock boys
I absolutely loved this story. Im always a huge fan of the underdog kids coming together to beat the odds. I thought the writing was exciting and the characters were relatable. My only complaint is that the story kind of just cuts off and I wanted MORE! I cant wait to see how her relationship with all the boys develops. Def worth the read.

Deadspace
I am usually not to big on sci-fi but hot damn this story was steamy. The read was easy, and the men were sexy. While the genre isnt my favorite I thought the MC was kick ass and I liked the ease in which the story flowed. Sinna was probably my favorite. Id love to know more about his kind.

Claiming the owl
Usually with an anthology I feel like im left wanting more from the stories. This book was the opposite. I felt like SO MUCH happened. I almost wish that it was made into separate books and got more in depth and detailed because I enjoyed the characters so much and at times felt like the depth was lacking. The plot was fun to read though and progressed quickly. I do like how we got a happy ending without having to wait thou.

Naga
Okay so I actually skipped this story and had to come back to it because I wasnt sure I could read it. I have a huge phobia of snakes and if a book is super descriptive if it I will freak out like a baby. I decided to attempt to read it and Im glad I did. They dont get two detailed about being a Naga or Nagi. I thought the was a cute and easy read. It has a happy ending. It was somethkng different and refreshing instead of reading the same type of shifter books.

Out of all of the Falling For Them Anthologies I would say this one I connected with the least. The mix of stories were good but only two of them did I really enjoy. My favorite was Dead Space, it kind of gave me some nostalgia to a favorite video game of mine. Behind that I would say the Owl Shifter story was my second. The other stories though I just could not get into for a variety of reasons. Overall, for being a mix of RH stories there was an interesting variety which will appeal to different tastes so it is still worth checking out if you like RH.

The Falling For Them anthologies are a great taster for new readers of the RH genre, or for people looking for new authors. The variety was great, from contemporary to pirates.

With that in mind, this collection didn't appeal to my tastes. I couldn't get into the collection, but I'll give the individual novels a chance of their own.

I think this is the first time I don’t feel like giving at least 4 stars, but this I have to be honest. Normally I go crazy for this books, but this one I was having a hard time connecting with. Normally I can’t put the book down, but with this one I didnt have the probleme at all.
Some of the stories was totally OK, but the one book that I really liked was Dead Space!

This volume didn't have as many stories as previous volumes. I did enjoy several of the stories and look forward to more coming from theses authors. A great value for getting into a new genre or author.
