As much as I loved the food and cooking aspect of this series, what I enjoyed very much as well is the dungeon diving escapades. And this time, an unwelcome member insists on coming along, making it more fun and hilarious.
At this point I just can't seem to stop. On to the next!

Disappointment, alcohol and no spine
I've liked the series so far. Not loved it, but liked it as it killed time on my commute to and from work. It's interesting to read about the different towns and animals. It does need just a little bit more world development, though. Sui is best boi. Overall not a bad series. This book I almost quit, though, since I kept getting annoyed about certain things. But I know it's just my preference, so others might think differently.
A majority of his meals apparently have to be taken with beer. You don't need to drink alcohol that much. As a person that doesn't drink themselves and has some family members that have an addiction I don't like that he takes practically 2/3rds of his meals with alcohol. There are so many more things he can use. Differently flavors of juices, lemonades and even sports drinks or agua frescas.
He has no real spine. Doesn't stick to his guns really at all. He really hasn't the entire series, but as someone who is binge reading it for the first time, it's getting more and more noticeable. He celebratory dinner and he has to host and cook for everyone.... The gods all walking over him, his familiars other than Sui being rude. Him letting Elrand just tag along and barge into every meal. Sure, it ends up turning out well cause he gets stuff back in the end, but if the other people weren't so nice about it they could have all just taken so much advantage of him without any consequences. He's a super pushover.
Elrand was in 5-6 pictures of of the novel and not one of them actually made him look handsome. I want something to stare at. The Elf girl Feodora got 2 gorgeous pictures, but the elf man got 5 mediocre ones. Only fanservice for people who are into women. It's annoying. As a heterosexual female I'm left wanting. Gay men will probably also be left wanting.
Debating if I want to continue the series. I have given it 6 books. So that's a good try. We'll see. I might just leave it alone for a while and try again later.

The undead dungeon. Here, I thought this place might have been a bit of a challenge for the group, but it turns out the gods gave Mukoda and his team a cheat (holy stamp). I am not surprised that Elrand came to join Mukoda’s party. What did shock me was that Elrand was actually useful in battle. When the other party of adventurers partake of Mukoda’s meals… well, I can’t help but think that elves are just a bunch of weirdos. It’s good that Mukoda got to unwind a bit by having a drinking party. This was another cozy read. Now on to the next book.

surprisingly there was more plot than cooking in this one. we get to learn just how high of a price mukohda has to pay for being so freakishly, scale-breakingly overpowered.
while dora-chan and mukohda might not like having elrand around, i think he's a very fun character and he's expertise as a guildmaster and creep level obsession towards dragons balance each other out fairly well. also helps that having a third party besides mukohda and his familiars travelling with them put into perspective just how out-of-the-norm their party is, not just in its formation but also in its strength.
also, there hasn't been any campfire cooking done from pretty much the beginning of the series? even the first time he cooked was on a stove, granted it was a camping stove. but now with his top of the line, latest model of stove+oven, the title of the series doesn't really fit.
but did mukohda catch himself a romantic partner the same way he did sss-level familiars? inches resting

February 19, 2023The food descriptions are slightly fewer, but descriptions of alcohol took its place. Mukouda is getting major cheats as usual, and went through the dungeon like a breeze. I’m not surprised that Elrand showed up; I expected that after the guilds shared the information about the red dragon.
This volume basically says that monsters from the dungeon can overflow into the outside world, and I’m not sure that’s really consistent with the previous world building. If monsters spawn in the dungeon when they get cleared, it’s more like a video game that has a finite amount of enemies allowed. But this one had giant cockroaches that lay eggs and occasionally leaves attention and destroy nearby cities.
The gluttony is funny, but I can’t imagine how they eat like this three times a day. Mukouda just feeds everyone until they’re stuffed to the brim…

Disfrute de unos días de indulgencia después de terminar un trabajo, así que me tome la tarde y en silencio me puse a leer. Leí, leí y leí hasta que se acabó.
Esta vez si estuve buscando los platillos en línea y me relamía con ellos. Me gustaría intentar el pollo yakitori, se ve delicioso.
El protagonista volvió a entrar a un calabozo y disfrute mucho de las situaciones en las que la comida se compartía, extrañe las historias de los otros viajeros, pero se compensó incluyendo más personajes y ampliando el número de personajes con los que interactúa Mukohda. Se siente realmente como un descanso leer estas historias y queda uno tranquilo y alegre después.

This continues to be amusing, but some readers might find it redundant seeing Mukouda doing more cooking for his way more powerful familiars who spend their time hunting and wanting to fight in dungeons for loot and meat. But it's still pretty funny so that's what keeps me reading it. I actually hope that Mukouda and the three Heroes that got summoned do wind up meeting up again.

No side stories this time, so no update on the survival of the child heroes our protagonist abandoned after being summoned beyond knowing they made it to the kingdom of Merival...enemy of the kingdom that summoned them...minus one arm.
Gonna quickly skim the next volume for updates on the heroes, but I'm satisfied with dropping the series for now.

I’m going to be one of those people that just wants Mokouda to be happy. I can’t believe he can’t land a girl. I like the unnecessary fillers with the story. I like how the author has them as extra at the end of the novels. I understand that Fel, sui and Dora-Chan only want to dungeon dive but there has to be something else with that group.

The 6th novel was a fun read especially when our hero and his three familiars were joined by a certain dragon-obsessed guildmaster and they went on adventures in a dungeon. The story just keeps getting better and better, very addictive, no book should be skipped in this series. 'nuf sed.

I did not appreciate Feodora, I hope she doesn’t appear much in the other novels. If there is one thing I hate is when people take advantage and manipulate to get what they want. I would hate to see the main character being used but in the end it’s not up to me.

Mukohda is ready to challenge the next dungeon.... Not. But his familiars won't be dissuaded, and he has a bunch of VERY eager gods wanting him to level up so he can unlock his next Tenant, so there really wasn't ever a choice. Then Elrand shows up again . . .
Mukohda finally got himself a party. Sort of. It's more Elrand's fault for inviting himself along. I'm feeling pretty bad for Dora-chan, who is uncomfortable around this person who wants to keep touching him, stares at him all the time, and follows him everywhere. I don't find Elrand funny, I find him to be more like a creepy obsessive stalker, and Mukohda should stop indulging him.
Despite his familiars sweeping things as usual, Mukohda has to be at least a little more active in this dungeon, given his need to level up. And there's a bit more activity on the heavenly side as well, since three of the gods are pushing him for a liquor store.
Overall it was nice to see Mukohda progress a little, even if it's very little. I rate this book Neutral.

Starts with them leaving Berleand and heading towards Aveling for another dungeon. I really enjoyed the dungeon dive on this one. It focuses on the two things I enjoy the most, adventure and cooking. Whis is why I gave it a 5 stars instead of 4 which almost did because of Mukoda and the imposing characters. The gods give mukoda a weapon against undead, not because they care, but they want him to level up so they can get more alcohol LOL Sui creates a mithril spear for Mukoda. I hate cockroaches just like Mukoda...EWWWWWW Elran, the dragon crazy elf, join them on this adventure and it makes it more fun. But again we see a bit of the nasty personality Mukoda started showing on the previous book. I mean, if you are kind, it comes from the heart....other than that is not true kindness. I feel the Mukoda character is not actually a nice person, he is just nice to prevent drama. Also I dislike his doormat personality. I also dislike all of the selfish imposing characters. I will send them to hell! I mean, Mukoda doesn't owe anything to anyone! One of the parties, Arc, gives Mukoda a teleporting stone for another dungeon. There is an extra story from Feodoras perspective about the food. Onto my next adventure, Happy Readings!!!

Mukohda goes dungeon-diving again!
This book is on the lengthier side in this series and understandably so because Mukohda finally arrives in Aveling and goes dungeon-diving yet again.
It was fun reading this book. The dungeon-diving was a fun read, as always and the company are also fun additions.
Elrand was shown a couple of times in the arts in this book and since I like his character somehow, I was glad for them. It was also fun reading about him at length.
Mukohda finding new friends is nice to read too. Though admittedly, I kind of feel bad for him as well since he's the one to be celebrated but he still had to do all that work for everyone haha poor him! But nonetheless, reading about him meeting people and getting friendly with them is always nice.
I wonder what will happen to him next. I'm quite excited to know where his adventures will lead him next.

Sixth installment, it'd probably be very easy to start falling into a bit of a repetition trap. However, there was just enough shift in status quo (for better or worse) that it kept me entertained. A bit of a sad note, is that the other group's story was not explored at all, but it's possible that the author consider the matter finished in the previous volume.

I. hate. elrand.
mukohda's cowardice really starts to shine in this one. I'd totally be the same way (especially with the bugs) but dude's got perfect defense and a barrier wrapped around him by the legendary fenrir. he could probably get an atom bomb dropped on him and be fine. so like, go forth! frolic in the dungeons!
people (and gods) are reaaaaal pushy with mukohda in this one. I almost feel bad for him, but it's also like, have you considered standing up for yourself. the threat of divine retribution by way of denying the gods is a deterrent, sure, but elrand? stand up to elrand, you can do it, tell him to fuck off.

I think we forget in stories that characters are meant to be humans, so they have human flaws. They are lazy, have fears, quirks and habits. We shouldn't judge because we haven't been put into the same situations that they have.
