JANE WAS TAKEN PRISONER AND TRADED TO THE ALLIANCE EMPIRE
She has children on Earth but is forbidden from seeing her human family unless she marries an Alliance man and has a hybrid child. She refuses to marry as she still grieves for the separation from her family on Earth. That is until Jim messages her that her best friend has moved in with her family.
To ease the pain of this betrayal, she agrees to an Alliance telepathic medical procedure that suppresses her emotional attachment to Jim. The Alliance doctors caution her that she should be mindful of her choices, as suppressing so much of her memory could lead her to make new choices she might regret when her memories resurface. Unfortunately, Jane does not heed their warnings and behaves in ways she would have never done before because so much of the memories that had developed her character are suppressed with the Alliance drug. She even begins a torrid love affair with the Alliance Admiral of the Fleet. A man who is over 200 years old and someone she would have never had entered into a relationship with had she not taken the drug.

This book is really has a dark and surprising twist at the end. The society these woman is different and their laws are harsh. This has a huge dark ending with a surprising ending. This on not to be ignored if you love your characters. You've been warned. Julie of A. R. C. Anonymous.
She was supposed to obey. She challenged everything
When Jane, a brilliant human engineer grieving the life she lost on Earth, is forced into an alien empire of laws, control, and violent tradition, the last thing she expects is to draw the attention of Admiral Jei, the most feared man in the fleet. Her body belongs to the Empire. Her heart stays in the past. But nothing about her future goes to plan.
Jei doesn’t take what isn’t his. Until Jane. Her loyalty shakes his foundation. What starts as duty twists into a need neither can control. But love has consequences, and in this empire, nothing comes without a cost.
As battles close in and truths surface, Jane faces a choice that risks everything she's become. It's no longer just survival. She'll become what she must to protect what matters.
Jane grows from a fractured survivor into a fierce leader who learns to navigate power without losing her soul. Jei shifts from cold commander to something far more human, forced to reckon with feelings that defy the world he serves. Their bond starts in mistrust, grows through longing, and ends in a love that breaks and binds.
A dark, steamy, alien human, power-imbalanced, star-crossed, age-gap, second chance, forbidden, military romance filled with slow burn tension, dominant submission, political intrigue, and cultural collision. It explores identity, power, autonomy, survival, motherhood, grief, and the cost of love under obedience. It’s about holding on to who you are while navigating loyalty and love in a world that demands you change. At its heart, it’s about a woman who won’t disappear, an alien who learns to bleed, and a love that survives what they were never allowed to say.
Audio: Narrator Heather Firth delivers a powerful, emotionally immersive performance that brings life to the story. She moves fluidly between voices, capturing Jane’s vulnerability and strength, and Jei’s intensity and restrained power, enhancing the layered relationship dynamic. The audio quality is good, and her narration adds weight to both the worldbuilding and the intimate moments.
Married to the Alien Admiral of the Fleet Book 4 Renascence Alliance Series by Alma Nilsson is another steamy, exciting sci-fi romantic adventure that I devoured and thoroughly enjoyed. Heather Firth does a great job in narrating the story. Impo you have to read/listen to these stories in their proper order to get the most enjoyment of this series. Highly recommend!
I enjoyed reading this one and was hoping for a better outcome. At part of me blames Jei because he knew she was struggling with so much and a little more care into ensuring she knew the rules and making her feel safe could've avoided her fate. Drusilla has become something else 😡

This book was so good. Left you at a cliffhanger. Can't wait to read the next book and find out how the series moves from this book to the next. Hopefully Jane and Jei's story continues.
The story and characters are great but the ending is a disappointment. You end up asking “…and then what?” I would not recommend book 4 of this series.
I cant review this without giving spoilers. I almost skipped this one. I truly do not like Jane. You can't really skip this though. And I'm happy how it ended.
I won this book through a Goodreads Giveaway contest, for which I am very grateful. The following is my unsolicited review of the book.
This is book four (4) of the series. If you're ready the first three, you kind of know what it's about. If this is the first one you're read, you might be kind of confused, but not very much. I think it's written well enough with sufficient background to get the idea, without being repetitious. I've now read three of the series, and found them all to be good.
Earth is out into the stars, and has found we are not the dominate species out there. The Alliance, grey skinned humanoids, are vastly superior to us technologically. Also pretty superior to us physically, much of which likely also comes via their technology. Or are they humans?
They look a lot like us. We're more colorful than they. Our society is also much more primitive. Just ask any of the Alliance folks, they'll tell you so, in great detail with examples. We're devoid of religion, for example. However, there's an arguable likelihood we could be the "lost people", stranded on a way too hot and damp backwater planet long ago in the early years of Alliance expansion, and only recently rediscovered. We are genetically identical, which to me suggests the legend may be true. Many Alliance folks would disagree.
Returning to the Alliance religion thing, in these books the gods and goddesses of the Alliance are very real, and sometimes interact with their worshipers, usually without their knowledge. At any point, you might be speaking with one of them. I find this to be a fascinating part of the storylines. The Alliance also has a problem with gender; for quite a while, too few girl babies have been born, likely due to the gods influences. Since Alliance can interbreed with humans (genetically identical, remember), they want human women to marry. Oddly, this causes trouble with both species. Whoda thunk?
In my library, I classify these books under Science Fiction Erotica. (Yeah, I categorize my books that much into the weeds.) Just a warning. The author alternates the "hotness" level between books, with odd numbers being erotica with a story line, and even numbers being a story line with erotica. I've read examples of each, and found them all to be entertaining. World and character development is very good. I occasionally notice some odd word usage and punctuation here and there, which could be because these are pre-release editions, or perhaps because the author is Swedish, leading to translation oddities. Nothing blatantly bad, and doesn't really interfere with reading.
Jane Eyre in Space, with lots of actual hot consensual sex with aliens, moral ambiguity, blood, death, and a wrenching twist at the end. I was skeptical of this giveaway because of the lurid title. But even though this falls into the "romance" genre, it's a far cry from the internalized misogyny, "members" and Fabio covers of high school. The concept plays with the usual sci fi and romance tropes in an engaging and unique way. No pretensions here, it's definitely a "romance novel", but still somehow complex and painted on a large canvas. Most importantly, the characters are compelling even when, or maybe because you don't agree with them. I have this fancy that the author actually had/has a lot more to say in detail about Alliance names, culture, science, etc., but was wisely told by an editor to go light in a Star Trekkie/fan fiction way and cater to folks looking for quick thrills. All in all well worth the time and money, and I will be buying the rest of the series just to see if my instincts are correct, and find out the impacts of Jane's decisions!
This is a love story, but not one with a happy ending. by sewsummore
This is a love story, but not one with a happy ending. Jane was the head of House Human, an engineer and an officer in their space fleet of ships. She became the lover of the Admiral Jei of the Alliance fleet. She was tormented between her love for her human husband who she would never see again and the love she felt for Jei. This was a dark story that left me stunned after reading the final page. This book was beautifully written, the characters full of real emotions and the story set in a world full of color and emotion. This book is part of a series that will continue.

The Darkest Book of The Series? Quite Probably So.
There is no happy ending to Jane's and Jei's story. Don't bother looking for one, because it is not there. Some stories can draw strong emotional reactions from some readers. That is one of those stories for me. The only other stories I can recall which drew the same emotional reaction from me came from reading Dennis L. McKiernan's _Dragonsdoom_ and watching the movie "Braveheart;" that reaction being deep sympathy and sorrow for the life-long loss of the survivors.
To term the novel dark and the ending sad is to damn the book with faint praise, but it is logically consistent with the culture and the characters portrayed and well written.
“Married to the Alien Admiral of the Fleet” is a well-written sci-fi fantasy that has an amazing storyline, vivid scenes, and interesting characters. This tale pulls you in at the beginning and holds onto your mind until you read the last page. You feel like a voyeur peeking into someone's life the realism is exciting as the story unfolds from the alien’s point-of-view. The creativity of this tale is very interesting and intense. I loved this book and cannot wait to find out what this author will give us in the next one.

This entire series is full of rich, expansive world building , and this book is no exception.
In many ways Jane had worked the hardest to integrate into Alliance society/culture, in part because she is responsible for all of the human women on the planet as part of House Human. (Think of them as a Clan, or Tribe, and she was named Chief when she wasn't looking.)
Jei may not have supported all, or any, of Tir's plans when he first captured the women on the Dakota, but in the past year he's learned a lot... and meeting Jane has helped him discover even more.
I read book one in this series and didn't especially care for it. Missed two and three and then won this fourth one. I actually enjoyed this more since it seemed more character driven and I could get the struggles Jane was having. I think the book is very well written but the plotting (especially the ending) seemed weak. The best part for me was the alternative cultural viewpoints of the aliens ... made me ponder my own beliefs. I won a copy of this book in a Goodreads giveaway for this honest review.
Jane was taken prisoner with the other humans from the Dakota. She and the other women were sent to the Alliance to be assimilated into their culture to have children with their men. There is so much that Jane has lost but this story was so good and the characters were interesting. I was sorry to finish the book as it kept you interested to the last page. Looking forward to the next book. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Loved the book, the story was well written and the characters were intriguing. Once I started I could not get enough, from the start till the end I was engrossed I was even on the edge of my seat with twists and turns, lust and passion, strength, happiness with a happily ever after. Do yourself a favor and buy the book you want be disappointed. Thank you for allowing me to review your book.

I really enjoyed this book, the story was exciting and kept me hooked to the end, however I did find the FMC Jane to be overly stubborn and the admiral Jay had endless patience with her. I really liked the Gods meddling and can't wait to see what the get up to next! I received this book in exchange for my honest review.
I don’t like to give spoilers on the books that I read. I believe the blurb on the back is enough for you to decide if you will read the book or not. If you choose to read, enjoy!
Many of the characters are not particularly likeable. They also seem like carboard cutouts rather than fully fledged people. All in all I was rather disappointed in the story. I received a copy from Booksprout
I really enjoyed this story but the ending sucked. You just have to read or listen to this to find out what happened. What will happen next? Was babbette telling the truth about what would happen to Jane? Can’t wait for the next book. I need ASAP.
I really liked the first two books of the series and I loved Jane's character and wondered if she would have a romance of her own. I just never expected such a sad sad ending.
