“By the pricking of my thumbs Something Witchy this way comes…” Do witches have a place to go in Heaven? Until the Fossilized Forest was bequeathed to Heaven, they didn’t. Now, Archangel Michael, code name A.M., who rules the entire Angelic Kingdom, has to find a place to put this uninhabitable forest. Fly with us as we find out how this came about, meet some of the witches and laugh as Heaven just got Witchy. This book is the pilot for the Something Series…
A terrific start to the Something series. After her sister dies (a house unfortunately got dumped on her by a tornado when she was casting a spell) she is shocked to learn that there is nowhere for witches to go in Heaven. That is until a perfect solution hits her. Her inheritance! A petrified forest! She'll bequeath it to Heaven. This throws everyone off in Heaven. What are they going to do with a forest and where are they going to put it. That is until Violet comes up with a solution. Now the dead sister has a place to go. A rather nice use of Macbeth and a good introduction to the characters I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more of
This book is baffling. On the one hand, it's clear Anderson put a ton of love into this book, and I commend her for doing what she loves and following through. However, this isn't as much of a book as it is a guide to the world. The "book" ends halfway through, and the rest of the pages are dedicated to exposition about how angels work and the backstories of the various characters (some of which only appear in later books). All in all, I have lots of feelings about this book, but I think the 3 stars sum it up pretty well.
This intro into the Something Series was as cute as they come. Just enough to leave you wanting more! The characters and job descriptions will make you laugh out loud! I'm going to keep reading this series!
