So far I've read Yolanda Olson's story Ghost Flowers. I'll update this when I've read more. This is a story about a girl. A girl who happens to be a fire investigator, and it just so happens that a fire bug is setting fires. Makena just wants to figure it out. Everyone makes a mistake, and she's hoping that will be the break she needs to solve it.
The guy setting fires has a obsession, not only does he love setting the fires, he equally loves watching Makena try to solve them. He's hoping if she does then she'll know why he's doing it. And that's where I'll stop. This one will keep you on your toes.

Makena is a fire chief and one of the best, but lately a string of fires is leaving her puzzled and she is on a mission to find out who this firestarter is. However the firestarter has been watching Makena and leaving her clues. Can she figure it out before it's too late? In the words of Prodigy..."I'm a firestarter, twisted firestarter." Yolanda wrote a brilliant short that will twist your flames.

These hot and sexy firemen know how to out a fire out. Only one broke my heart the way it ended. All in all these short stories are hot and tempting of wanting to find your own firefighter to put the fire out. Good collection to be read on a nice evening.

Trust & Honor: Dalton by Peyton Banks

Emerging Temptation is a collection of stories by 12 different authors. I originally received this book to read and review Trust & Honor: Dalton by Peyton Banks but I also read several of the other stories. Some of them I liked and a few were not for me.
Trust & Honor: Dalton is the story of Dalton McNeil and Anya Graham. Dalton was born and raised in Las Vegas and is now a Lieutenant with the Las Vegas Fire Department. Anya grew up next to the two Dalton brothers but left to go to college. Afterward she settled in Atlanta and started her career as a book writer. But she also fell for the wrong man so she has come back to Vegas to get away from him.
One day while running errands her car breaks down outside a firehouse. As always the firemen are very helpful and take care of her while she waits for a tow truck. When Dalton arrives at his firehouse he discovers the beautiful Anya. It turns out that they have both changed a lot over the last several years and all in the best ways. He remembers her as the young girl who had a crush on him and she remembers him as the older and skinny young man. Now he very much wants to get reacquainted with Anya and she with him. Things are going well until her bad and crazy ex shows back up after tracking her down half way across the country. Now it will be up to Dalton and his brother Dallas to keep Anya safe and deal with the idiot ex.
This is a nicely written and entertaining story with a solid story-line and characters that are likeable.

There are some good stories in here that lead me to reading additional stories from the authors. There are also some stories that I hated. So 3 stars for the whole series, and the .5 is for the new authors I was introduced to that were worth following.

I really enjoyed reading these books, I have only reviewed the first two stories, but I could leave great reviews for all of them.

Trust and Honor: Dalton

Anya has returned home to Vegas and while returning home from running errands, her car dies right outside of the firehouse. She is pulled into the firehouse by one of the firefighters who introduces her to the red who are on shift. They feed her and look at her car for her while waiting for the tow truck to arrive. While she is there, her old crush from next door arrives. Dalton has only grown hotter since that one time she kissed him before she left for college.

Dalton McNeil is the Lieutenant at the firehouse, when he sees Anya, he is blown away with how hot she is since she has grown up. He takes her home and can’t stop thinking about her. Then they meet in his office while Anya is doing research for her new novel she is writing. They kiss, they can no longer keep their feelings inside.

Anya’s ex finds her and suddenly her live is in danger. He is taken by the police, but he is released again. Anya doesn’t feel safe, so goes to stay with her parents and Dalton sees her there and they go on a date where she ends up spending the night. The next day she goes to the police station to sign reports and she files paperwork at the courthouse to keep him away, but he is there at her apartment waiting for her and beats her and restrains her and sets her building on fire.

Dalton comes to the rescue and after a week in hospital, she goes home with him and they eventually have their happily ever after.

Avalanche

Ariya is set up by her friends to meet a friend of their boyfriends, but they only tell her once they arrive in the mountains and the boys are on their way. But when Zander shows up, Ariya is surprised how aloof he is towards her, one minute he shows interest and the next he is trying to push her away. Zander is a ranger who was only there to ensure they were all set up and prepared in case of the storm lasting longer than the night it is supposed to last for.

Then the storm hits and they are all trapped inside the cabin together. The storm ends and the roads are cleared so Zander can get back to work. The two couples go for a walk and leave Ariya and Zander to talk. They start talking and their passions get the best of them and they end up having sex in the living room, shortly after Zander takes off.

It’s only after Zander leaves after having sex with Ariya that she realises that the friend who they originally wanted to set her up with was another friend, Brady who the guys all went to college together with. Ariya goes for a walk to go in search of Zander but she gets lost in a storm that has blown in from nowhere, Zander is notified by his friends that she went in search of him and she still hasn’t shown up.

Zander finds her and they have to spend the night in an abandoned cabin to wait out the storm. Ariya and Zander are finally able to talk things out and they finally realise that they can have their happily ever after.

This anthology was straight FIYAH! I have been looking forward to reading this anthology for months and it didn't disappoint. I was introduced to some new author like Yolanda Olson, Sedona Venez, reintroduced to authors that I recently started reading like Donna Mercer, Sade Rena, ML Preston and Kiarra M. Taylor. I enjoyed stories by some of my all time faves like Reana Malori, Peyton Banks, Posey Parks, Theresa Hodge and Sydney Aaliyah Michelle. These stories feature strong black women and the equally strong men who loved them. They were written extremely well and the storylines was well executed. Even though they are novellas, it had strong lead characters, a good supporting cast, developed themes and wasn't tired or repetitive. They may have been short stories but they had an emotional depth which made you feel a roller coaster of emotions.

Reana Malori has never written a story that wasn't full of life, had well written and developed characters. Absolution was a sexy and amazing read. Dalton by Peyton Banks was sexy, had a wonderfully written storyline. It dealt with a difficult subject but it was written beautifully. Dalton and Anya chemistry was off the charts. Glenn was a jerk who got exactly what he deserved. Posey Parks Blazed was hot, well written and the chemistry between the characters was off the charts. Her stories are always so visual, it feels like you're watching a mini movie through the pages of your book.

I love that this anthology was about firefighters and their selfless occupation. I would highly recommend this if you love action, romance and strong and resilient black women and the alpha men who loves them. AWESOME JOB LADIES!!

“Emerging Temptation” is hotness at its best! There are 12 passionate stories by some of the most popular authors of the genre. All of the stories are engaging with a focus on men that save lives and make hearts flutter! There is romance, heroics and heat. This is a great collection of stories from your favorite authors (and perhaps some you're not familiar with). I particularly enjoyed “Trust & Honor - Dalton” by Peyton Banks for its emotional impact and “Blazed” by Posey Parks for over the top drama. Excellent entertainment!

This is an amazing collection of books about Black Women with White Men. The one that I will be reviewing is Trust and Honor by Peyton Banks. Dalton is the Lieutenant of their local fire station and grew up next door to Anya. Anya has always had a crush on Dalton, although he was a few years older than her. After college, Anya left their Georgian town for New York as a writer and after dealing with a crazy ex, she decided to move back home. Her new story is about firefighters and when her old car broke down in front of the fire station, she was surprised to see that Dalton works there. She wanted to interview them so that she can get first hand knowledge about the work that they do. Meanwhile, her crazy ex has been tracking her down and once he gets a hold of her, will Dalton be able to save her before it's too late. Amazing stories from various authors! Highly recommended!!!

This is an awesome collection of first responder stories featuring a wide variety of heroes including firefighters, paramedics, and many more. I've read a lot of these authors before, but some were new to me and it was great to discover their writing. While sticking to the overall BWWM first responder theme, the stories are all different and range from cute and funny to hot and steamy. Some are emotional, others action-packed. There really is something for everyone in this collection. I'm looking forward to seeing what I'll find in the upcoming box sets.

The men of this collection are all heroes. They’re jobs are not just to serve the community. But also protect and save us all. Their stories of love new, old and love gained is definitely a must have in your book collection.

This collection has the sexy and dirty and the hard, all rolled into one convenient binding. This collection is a wine and quiet time reading.

This book is an amazing work of escapism. The characters are wonderfully written to elicit an emotional involvement in their lives. The backdrop, plot and interactions keep the story popping with intriguing interplay and romance.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The book blurb and outline provided give the prospective reader enough to hook their interest, without giving away too much.

Since I finished the Obsessive Temptation anthology, I've been counting the days until I could get my hands on the Emerging Temptation collective of stories. Emerging Temptation does not disappoint. There are several authors featured in the collective that I've read before, but there are some authors that this anthology has introduced me to. Peyton Banks remains a favorite for me, but this collective has something that is sure to please every reader. I can't wait to see what the next collection of stories holds.

After reading this book I had to take a little time to compose myself and get my thoughts clear in my head before I put them in a review.
Wow this book was amazingly written. Once I started I couldn’t put it down till I was finished. This book has twists and turns you don’t know what’s happening. will they all get there happily ever after or will it all go wrong. To find out what happens go buy the book. Trust and Honor- Payton Banks- Dalton and Anya's paths cross when her car breaks down outside his fire station. When Anya is taken into the station, she sees Dalton for the first time in years and she remembers the crush she had on him many years ago. Dalton is the same and recalls how he and his brother used to protect her from the local bullies in their youth. Dalton and Anya soon embark upon a relationship, but Anya has to come clean as to why she has returned to Las Vegas. Anya's problem makes himself known and she flees to her parents to hide out. But Anya's problem is deadly and communication is required to survive this situation. Will Anya confess in time to be saved or will she continue to hide her secret? This collection of stories are all of 5 stars. They are very well written and very entertaining. Very high quality throughout. Well done.

This collection of books were pretty cool. A lot of familiar authors and some new. I think because all the stories seemed so similar, it felt repetitive, not in a very bad way but some variety would have been nice. Also there was one story... it went so far left that it kind of was off-putting, but I guess there are people who like dark romance so, if you do thats the one for you. Like I said, even though the stories were similar, I still enjoyed them.

I loved seeing so many stories by some of my favorite authors in one place. The stories focused on everyday heroes and their journey to finding love. That was definitely a plus of this anthology. I would highly recommend as I loved all of the stories in the collection!
