The Red

He loved to take the shortcut route to reach his home after the last bell of his School. The shortcut route, which went through a jungle between the giant trees was infamous because of a legend. According to the locals, there was an old man, who resides in that jungle, who kills people and bathe in their blood.

The boy never believed in such stories, as he never found any psycho old man in there.

I'm giving this short story 3.5 stars. The story is okay, with just one minor hole in the plot, but an enertaining tale. I'm taking off 1.5 stars for the writing. I may be wrong, but I wonder if English is a second language for the author. It's not so bad that it's unreadable. And believe it or not I have read worse. There's a few actual typos. Like random capitalizations. And the story is cute. It was free when I got it, so I'm not complaining.
And I'm still wondering, is it a forest or a jungle?

A good quick read

This was actually a really good story. I liked how it was a mystery surrounded in horror. The ending was a pretty cool twist. A man keeps having nightmares from a traumatic event when he was a child and seeks the help of a psychiatrist what is revealed is horrific. The only problem I had was it seriously needed proof read. There were times when it would switch from he to she or him to her for the same character. And it kept saying jungle or forest, sorry but two totally different things. Other than that I throughly enjoyed it!
