Rate this book
How much would you risk to save the one you love?

Special Agent Jack Gage is willing to risk everything.

He may have to.

When Jack left the Army and Delta Force to join the State Department's Diplomatic Security Service, he knew he'd be leaving Capt. Danielle Stanton and their tumultuous relationship behind as well.

What Jack didn't know was fate wasn't done with them. While on a mission to take down an international terrorist cell, Jack is sucked into the heinous world of human trafficking. From the moment Jack sees Dani clothed in little more than bruises and shackles, he knows he'll do anything to save her.

Unfortunately, he may not be able to.

Jack still has his mission. Rurik and his thugs are planning something big. What's in that war-torn barn? The rest of Rurik's slaves? Or something worse? Something that'll take out the entire city of Sarajevo and its half-million inhabitants?

Jack will need Dani's help to get past the guard and the lock on that barn door...along with the ones protecting her heart.

This nis the 1st book in the Romance genre that I have read. I have read another of her books that was not Romance. I only gave it 4 1/2 stars because of the romance section.

The story has Jack coming into contact with Dani while he is working undercover. The meeting was unplanned. Dani was attempting to find 2 women soldiers who had been abducted and wound up being abducted herself. Jack was trying to discover what sort of Rurik was planning and just happened to be around when he got to urik's house where Dani was being held.

Even though it had been over eleven months when Jack last saw Dani, sparks still flew.

The ending brings everything to a conclusion and it is a must read to discover exactly how this all plays out. This is worth reading.

Short story that is full of suspense and sizzling chemistry between the two main characters. Turns out Jack and Dani had spent a night together after they completed an undercover assignment. But due to miscommunication, they spent the next 11 months apart. Until they accidentally meet up again on undercover assignments. Jack is posing as artillery sergeant and Dani is posing as a worker for the International Red Cross.

When they meet up again in a terrorist camp, she is being held captive by Rurik and Jack has to negotiate to "buy" her. There is lots of suspense as they work to get out there with their lives and without Dani being subjected to any more torment by Youssef. In addition there are some twists as what Jack thought he knew was going on turned out not to be the case.

Sometimes fate will work out in your favor when you least expect in a place you could have never imagined. For Special Agent Jack Gage, that means being reunited with the love of his life and have the ability to rescue her life. Danielle had resigned herself to the fact that she was going to have to figure out a way to escape from her captors and hopefully complete the mission she was sent to do. Both are given answers to questions that were left unsaid when they parted. Plenty of suspense, action and romance as well as a surprise HEA. Definitely a great read.

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review.

Jack and Dani had a relationship but that was earlier and now Jack is undercover and meets with Dani again. This is a great story line full of action and twists and turns. This deals with some subjects that were hard to read but it made the story interesting. Dani is a strong women in a field that is dangerous for women, but she rocked it. Jack was a strong character that was put in a very tough situation. This is a great story that flowed well and there was no lack of action and intrigue. This is a great story.

Jack and Danielle were together and then Jack went away. They meet again when they are both on undercover assignments in Sarajevo. Dani gets captured and Jack is working with the opposing side while undercover. He offers to purchase Dani from them. A nuclear war head and human trafficking.
Can Jack and Dani rekindle their romance they once had? A very thrilling romantic suspense.

I found a new romantic suspense author and series. This book sucked me right in and I could hardly put it down. I enjoy stories with tough heroines and devoted heroes, with action and suspense, and this story delivers.
