"Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28
Is there hope in Christ for us when anxiety swells within? Can we find peace in God when our circumstances are anything but peaceful? The answer to these questions is yes!
It Is Walking Away From Anxiety and Into God’s Word is a three week study that
•Encourage you to rest in God’s peace instead of staying stuck in anxious thought cycles •Help you to trust God as your source of hope when anxieties arise •Remind you that God can redeem every fear and worry for our good and His glory •Equip you with Scripture that will remind you of God’s love and care for you when you need it most
Topical studies can be hit or miss with me. This one was more of a miss. Some passages definitely seemed like they were being forced into the interpretative mold of dealing with anxiety rather than being explored for what they are actually about. Also skipped a lot of the study questions. Flimsy.
I liked this study because all of the Bible verses were at the beginning of each day. That saved me a lot of time from searching for a scripture in my bible. I enjoyed the scripture references used.
This was a very comforting devotional, walking through various passages of scripture to encourage the reader to place their trust in Christ and meditate on eternal blessings in place of temporal suffering.
This was a sweet little devotional walking through various passages in relation to worrying/anxiety. Each day has a passage, a devotional, and 3 questions to ponder. 5 days/devotionals for each of the three weeks, with a weekly review page with more questions. I’m finishing the devo encouraged by all that God has to say about worry, freshly reminded of who he is, and comforted by his proximity to me 🫶🏼
I really enjoyed this Bible study. I felt like it made me think, it focused a lot on scripture and what God says about anxiety but it didn't minimize it. It's also only 3 weeks so it's nice and short.
Through the use of scripture, this book teaches us that God is with us through every hurdle. While this may be a known fact for many believers, it was wonderful to see this fact proven time and time again alongside an encouraging message in each passage.
This study was good, it focused on God, his character, and his promises. Some of the questions I felt didn’t match well with the study but over all I would read it again!
