The only daughter of an Irish chieftain has one purpose and one alone: marry well. But on the eve of my wedding, I’m stolen away on a ghostly ship by a warrior trapped in time.

Legend tells of a Sea Wolf who must sail the northern seas until he finds the woman who can break his curse and lead him home.

The legend is real. The Sea Wolf has come for me.

Ægir is a standalone fantasy romance starring a huge dominant warrior and the woman he will claim as his own. Formerly titled The Sea Wolf, it was available for a few months in the Pirates, Passion and Plunder boxset.

Muireann is on a little boat about to go to her intended and get married. She doesn't even like the guy she's about to marry but she has no choice or her home and family could be destroyed. She is also more than she appears which was a fun twist to see come about.

The Sea Wolf was cursed to sail the sea until he finds his mate who can lift the curse for him. He cannot set foot on land or he becomes a rampaging beast.

On the way to get married her boat is approached by a much bigger ship. The Sea Wolf and his crew take Muireann but things go wrong right from the very beginning. Not realizing that the Sea Wolf cannot die, she tries to kill him only to have him laugh at her attempt which I found funny. They find a way to communicate even though he cannot speak for some reason and she remembers a story that her mother told her and starts to believe that she belongs with him.

While this story was not without its drama and relationship problems, it also had me smiling once it got past the halfway point because the Sea Wolf really cared about her and it showed.

This story was a quick novella of just 76 pages but I really enjoyed the story and especially the ending.

I am a HUGE fan of this author’s Beserker books and this story definitely gave me the same vibes. The heroine was such a strong character and the Sea Wolf - well I was hooked!

I was smiling from the very first page & only wish these characters got a whole book. I hope she continues this new world of characters.

Super quick read. Stories are told about the SeaWolf and his connection to the raven. She will be his savior but until then he cannot set foot on land. The heroine is set to be wed to a cruel chief who threatens her island home and people if she denies him. Of course her future boo has the best timing and once the heroine realizes her part in the bigger picture she’s quick to go all in.

What a warrior

Always a treat to escape in a Lee Savino book. This one is a fabulous fable of love conquering all.

4 1/2 stars! A Berserker novella - do I need to say more?!

Contains subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some including adult language, semi-steamy intimate scenes and violence.

This is set in a time of witches, shifters, and Berserkers, so if this type of PNR isn’t your genre, please do not purchase and then rate it lower than it deserves.

This is about a fable told by the villagers about a man cursed to turn into a beast if he steps foot on land, and the woman who may be the key to saving him, if she is not wed to another first.

I don’t want to accidentally provide any spoilers, so I am going to stop here.

Very quick read, that could be read as a stand-alone, as there are no existing characters or storyline arc from the previous stories.

After a break from the Berserkers, I'm back for a visit to the new series Berserker Warriors. Unlike the Berserker Saga, thankfully, the ratio is one to one this time around.

The story begins with Muireann awaiting her bridegroom, Domhnall, although unwillingly. Muireann's father has bartered her off to Domhnall to save his land. "What is this world coming to, that women are pawns in the hands of men?" (Nanny's question sums my thoughts up completely.)
If Muireann does not wed Domhnall and give him inheritance rights through her dowry, Domhnall will bring his men to the island and take it by force. What's a girl to do?

The legend of the Sea Wolf that Muireann's mother and Nanny have retold of will come to pass. The Sea Wolf is cursed to sail the northern seas until he finds the woman who can break his curse and lead him home. Fortunately or unfortunately for Muireann, she is that woman. On her way to Domhnall, the Sea Wolf kidnaps Muireann and carries her away on his ship. The first chance Muireann has, she uses her knife and kills the Sea Wolf only to learn he is immortal (pretty uncomfortable to be left alone with someone you tried to kill).

The Sea Wolf, aka AEgir, is the strong silent type though not by choice. But this being a Berserker story, that doesn't stop the two from bed play and insta-love. Eventually, Muireann accepts her role and will lead Aegir home for their HEA.

On My Were Scale of Hotness, 3 stars.

Just WOW!!! If you've read any of the Berserker books then you're probably as hyped as I was to find out this one was in this anthology. If you haven't, not to worry because after reading "The Sea Wolf", you'll be as much of a fan as the rest of us. Domhnall had promised he'd take the island one way or the other. Of course, marriage to Muireann was the best option, but he didn't mind bloodshed. As the chief's daughter, it was Muireann's duty to prevent war as part of the bargain. Lee Savino has given us magic, a curse, a ghost, pirates, a kidnapping, a legend, and a chemistry that can literally change lives. What a great story.

Give me more suspense.

I'm not new to Lee"s amazing plot and storyline, but this book was a bit lacking quite a bit from the beginning, a bit to heavy on, and slow, but after a couple of chapters it picked up a bit. Quite frankly I expected more from her, considering how well though out her previous books, "The Berserkers' came about. This plot was pale in comparison to her old series. Even the hot and spicy, juicy bits were weak this time. Give me more suspense, drama, love and sexy 👅
It's a good book, and I will stay put with this author, and read the second story.
Savino still rocks.

Short and sweet

This is an interesting tale. It deviates from the Berserker saga but is no less satisfying. I’m excited for all the possibilities now that the Berserker saga has ended (at least for the moment) and we know there are still more stories to tell in this universe. The heroine is selfless and brave and doing what needs to be done to protect her father and the rest of her people. Things don’t go according to plan and that’s where things get exciting. I would have loved more time with these characters but it’s a well written and complete story that packs a punch in a few pages. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it.

The story of Muireann - fmm - begins as she waits to cross the river into a new life with Domhnall. Although she's doing this because she has to save the life of her father and her village.
If Muireann doesn't marry Domhnall, he will bring his men and take the island by force.

There was a story told by her mother and nanny, the legend of the Sea Wolf, who was cursed to sail the seas until he will find his mate and lift his curse.

On the way, the river is obscured by fog and their boat is approached by a larger ship, so the Sea Wolf and his crew kidnap Muireann.

Quick story with totally new characters.

A quick story that contains all new characters. The tale of the Sea Wolf proves itself true when a thick fog brings a Viking ship to the island that Muireann luves on.
She is promised to a clan that has declared they will take the island through marriage or blood and they didn't care which.
What happens when she is kidnapped on her way to the clan her father gave her to? Will the Sea Wolf's curse be broken or will he become the beast for always?

Well, I enjoyed the story premise. If this was a fanfic it would be tagged with dub-con. But I'm fine with that. The thing that brought the rating down was not that it is short but that the writing was medium. As an avid fanfic reader I'm used to that sort of thing when it is good but rushed so something feels a little off but other parts suck you in... All in all, decent. Also, it was free on kindle.

Love found

Muireann is promised to a man she doesn't want but she must marry to protect her country. In her way, they encounter a ship shrouded in mist. They take Muireann and she is told why the Sea Wolf wants her. She is a witch but doubts she can break the curse. She is willing to try. A vision takes her away from Aegir , he lets her go. But ends up coming to her land which might not be good for him because of the curse. How will it all end? Loved the ending.

Calling her wolf home

Imagine being given to a man who threatens to kill everyone you love if you don't marry him. Such is the case with the heroine of this story only just as she is about to go to him she is kidnapped by a legend called the Sea Wolf. Readers should enjoy this book as much as I did following the story of two people meant to be together. I can totally recommend this book.

Damn good!

Murieann and Aegir’s story is a wonderful story of magic, shifters, curses and legends. Taken by the mystical Wolf, Murieann will find her future in his arms and together they will save and set each other free to find a love that will change fates, break curses and last beyond time. Great story, with fantastic characters and a thrilling story line!

Ægir

I wonder if her mother was a part of the coven of the witch that cursed Ægir and that's how she knew I'd the legend of the Seawolf. Muireann should have used her powers on the cretin that was forcing her to marry him. I'm glad the seawolf took her before any wedding took place.

Berserk for her

The outline of this story is great, but they were definitely bits missing. Don't get me wrong, at only 76 pages I wasn't expecting Shakespeare, or anything. Even the parts that were fleshed out would often just stop, leaving me to feel like it was incomplete. This story could have been something amazing, but was just... there.

Curse breaker

A story come to life as a gifted daughter prepares for a life she didn't choose. Of course she should have known better, after all, her mother told her the story her entire life. Life's choices play out as the daughter tries to protect her family & free her warrior.

Love this book it is a great start to the series. Loved the way the berserkers are all stunning and know what they want Aegir was a great and interesting character and it was good to see that he finds everything he needed. The characters are all strong and intriguing. Great Read. I also have listened to this wonderful adventure in audio and it was a pleasure the narration was great.

I usually enjoy books by this author a lot more. This one just seemed to be lacking. I didn't understand the draw of the beast to the beauty other than the fact she was a woman and didn't reject his sexual advances. Conflicts were overcome quickly and fairly easily. This story was ok and a quick read but there were no surprises and no real sexual tension.

This may be a quick book but it's packed full of shifter heat with a twist of magic tales that draw you in until the end.
Standalone with no Cliffhangers.
She is promised to a monster to save her people and land, but she is captured.
But is she saved or in the hands of a bigger monster?
I own this on kindle and on audio by Chirp.

Too short 😪

I could happily have read another couple of hundres pages about the Sea Wolf and his life. Ægir is most fittingly named. As usual Lee writes an excellent story. Admittedly, I wasn't expecting the flight, but it really fitted well and added that bit extra.
If only the world still contained magic...

An entertaining novella read. Enjoyable tale of Irish/Norse myth and legend. I would've loved more world building, especially around the Sea Wolf, but there was enough to set the story. The ending felt a little rushed, all fade to black, but it was well worth the read.

Berserker with a twist!

Who could ask for more in a story. A woman rescued from a marriage she doesn't want. A viking warrior coming through the mist in a dragon ship and a happily ever after. A must read!

Short and simple

This is a very short, simple story, okay for what it is. Some of the word choices and phrases seem too modern for a period piece, and it wraps up almost too quickly and conveniently.

AEgir and Muireann's story started out at odds with each other. He's demanding and desperate for her to marry him, but can she break the curse? This was a quick read, and I wanted more, but it gave me a good taste of the next Berserker series!

Awesome story!!

Once again Lee Savino hit it out of the park with this Wolf tale! There is just no such thing as a bad Berserker book by her. I've read the entire series and enjoyed every minute of it.
