This is a great set of books on serial killers. It is obvious that the author, Ryan Becker, did a lot of research for this set of books. They are well written and easy to read. I loved all of them. He did not glorify the killers, which is something I do appreciate. I loved these books (well, all of his books!) and would recommend them to anyone who enjoys true crime. Great read!
Serial Killers: The Horrific True Crime Stories Behind 6 Infamous Serial Killers That Shocked The World (Real Crime By Real Killers Collection Book 2) was a good true crime read by Ryan Becker and Nancy Veysey. This four book set exposes some of the most heinous crimes and murders. The box set consists of books about; Mary Flora Bell, Marcus Wesson, Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka, and Doug Clark and Carol Bundy. These were good takes on some true crime stories.
These books are informative but with poor writing structure and inappropriately cheesey lines. They are great to get basic information from but lack organization in a way that makes some stories difficult to follow. Fact checking sometimes required.
This is great compilation of well-known crimes that is clearly presented with attention to details and facts many may have now forgotten or, perhaps, never known. While it seems to be sprinkled with a bit of conjecture concerning how someone may have felt about certain events, the overall tone of the book is informative, authoritative, and sometimes analytical which, in my opinion, lent authenticity to the stories examined within. In the audio version, the narrator, Michael Goodrick, has a news anchor type of delivery that is well-suited to a book of this nature. He chose a pace that was easy to follow and, with the exception of sounding a bit staccato in his delivery, gave the listener a great performance. Any enthusiast of the true crime genre will likely enjoy this book/audiobook.
