Angela K. Ryan is the author of the Sapphire Beach Cozy Mystery Series, the Seaside Ice Cream Shop Mysteries, and the Cape Cod Cozy Mysteries. She writes clean, feel-good cozies for readers who love humor, lots of twists and turns, and happy-dance endings.

When she is not writing, Angela enjoys the outdoors, especially kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, snowshoeing, and skiing. She lives in Massachusetts and loves all four of the New England seasons, but she looks forward to regular escapes to the white, sandy beaches of southwest Florida, where her mother resides.

It is fitting that Angela’s series take place in fictitious seaside towns in Massachusetts and Florida. These small towns would be idyllic if it weren’t for all the bodies that keep turning up!

Angela dreams of one day owning a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel like the sweet pup in her Sapphire Beach Series, but she isn’t home enough to take care of one. So, for now, lives vicariously through one of her main characters, Connie.

If It Doesn't Feel Right it's Not

Connie could tell just from the feel of the writing that Natasha would NEVER walk out on her little girl. They both came to Safire Cove Beach to start a new life. Natasha's didn't succeed due to jealousy and greed from her ex and his new girlfriend that was a murderer. Everytime Connie read through Natasha's diarie she woul get a gut feeling and know something wasn't right. When she went paragliding with Zach she saw the secret place Natasha would go to clear her head, and so opened the case again. The sadness of Natasha and protecting her daughter brought tears to my eyes. Excellent book

Nice follow up book

This was a nice follow up to the first book in the series. I really like this group of characters that have formed the cast of the book series. The story is nice and this one seemed a little more exciting than the first book. It was nice to get to know the characters better. I am not a fan of the religious aspect of this but other than that I really like it. The writer's style is also great. One of the nicest things was how the characters look out for each other.

A Missing Tenant, a First Date, and More Excitement in Sapphire Beach!
Connie is back in Sapphire Beach after wrapping up her condo sale in Boston and is preparing her new jewelry shop for the grand opening. After accidentally finding some items belonging to the former tenant beneath some floorboards, she is drawn into the mystery of that former tenant's disappearance and is compelled to find out what really happened. I loved the twists and turns of this book and how the characters are developing.

Book 2 in this series takes up with the main character getting her new jewelry shop ready to open. The author seamlessly provides a mystery that has the reader wondering what really happened to the previous owner. You are quickly caught up in the main character's investigation. A touch of promised romance is added, and wonderful characters and settings carry the story effortlessly. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

very surprised!

Well usually I’m able to pick out the murderer, but Angela K Ryan has fooled me this time. I love this series because my favorite season is summer and beaches are my peaceful place. The descriptive details in the story help me picture the settings in my mind very clearly. This series can stretch out forever since there are so many condominiums in Connie’s building, which means lots of victims and a lot of murderers. .

Surf,Sand and Skeletons

What a revelation after my disappointment with the first book this one is gripping and exciting. The storyline is good and the plot keeps the reader wanting to know what is going to happen next. A good read

I stretched to reach 3 stars. Fairly predictable where the amateur newcomer resolves the issue of a missing person the professionals were never able to figure out through rather hard to believe coincidences.

The mystery part had an interesting spin, as it was about something that had happened several years prior to the current story. I do love the dynamics between the characters in this series. And the Christian aspect is a very practical application of faith in the lives of the characters.

I'm glad that I took a chance with this author/series when I came across the first book. I have to admit that I had the killer figured out early and also the perfect happy dance of an ending but it took nothing away from the story for me at all.
