In our increasingly turbulent world, many of us are looking to the sky to find guidance in the ancient art of astrology. In Aries, Stella Andromeda will tell you everything you need to know about your astrological life as the ram. Learn how to harness the ancient power of the zodiac and open your mind to what the universe can offer in ways you never would have imagined. With advice that covers everything from self-care to sex, this little book is your key to a very starry future.
Given to me as a gift it has been sitting on my bookshelf next to my other astrology books gathering dust for some time, having a spare 30 minutes (if even that) I decided to read through this. It has some nice art and an easy breakdown of some usual stereotypes of having an Aries sun. What surprised me was it is one of the first aesthetically pleasing looking beginner books to include the idea that you are not just your sun sign but of your entire birth chart from the moment you entered this world, separating from the mother. In saying that it then goes with the modern approach of zodiac sign == house which doesn't really work, it also gives the outer planets rulership to Aquarius and Pisces which again I don't find sit right.
For a very beginner beginner book it is ok, and hopefully it gives people that spark of questioning to what else is in their chart.
Started out well, but ended up having a solid 30 pages of generalisations about what is an ascendant or the houses in a birth chart… with zero explanations of what any of that means for an Aries.
Could have included ascendant analysis, or moon analysis. But no. Nothing. Just a few cute illustrations with things like star sign’a attitude to pets or what their best flowers are.
Not worth paying full price for. If you find it for £1-£2, sure, read it (takes maybe 30min?) and then gift it to a friend.
Cute illustrations. Some cute content. At best a stocking stuffer. But there are better ones out there.
This is a good book for people getting into astrology as it explains some of the basics of chart reading very simply and goes into some detail about personality traits. As an Aries myself, I felt that it was mostly true to what I've experienced. People who are very knowledgeable about astrology may feel that they want more information than this book provides but it should spark an interest in learning more about chart reading for newbies. It's more like a simple, quick reference guide on learning about stereotypical Aries. I enjoyed the cute art throughout the book. I enjoyed it and will likely collect the rest of the zodiac series from Stella Andromeda.
First things first: I think astrology is utter bologna. BUT. It is a cute little book with lovely art, and if you are interested in astrology, it has a good balance of [introductory] information pertaining to general astrology and astrology specific to your sign (in this case, Aries). At the very least, it was fun to look at this book and fantasize that my anxious never-knowing-who-I-am self might contain some semblance of a fiery god of war.
I really like the artwork for this book, and of course as an Aries I love to read about myself. A small downside is that, like every other astrology book, there is some general filler about astrology in general (I understand why this is a feature of these books, tho). I would, however, definitely by this star sign series as gifts for friends—it’s nicely done.
Recomendado.
i don’t really follow astrology, but as this was a gift i wanted to check it out. i loved the illustrations, and i looked up my birth chart and finally know my moon, rising, etc. some fun coincidences in here as well- one of aries’ cities is naples, italy which is where i was born! :-)
A great intro! This was about 50/50 on Aries-specific insight and general tips for understanding astrology, which was exactly the blend I was looking for.
read this book to try and see what all the astrology hype was about but honestly still don't get the fuss. this book just felt like a massive waste of paper.
Original: Bought this while I was in vacation in England for the first time. I am an Aries and could relate to so many things in this book!
Second read: I re-read this one and loved it even more. Raised it half a star to 4.5 rounded up to 5.
Finding out about your lucky day to your communication with your boss to other sign's compatibility, this little book is a short, gorgoeus discovery of one's self (and other's as well).
3/10 S The design's pretty, but to be honest I don't believe in zodiac signs. I bought it in Spain, so it was more just a souvenir for myself and a little read en español. Tho I really enjoyed the illustrations:) I've finished this book!
