The short:

I'm a life-long reader, fantasy addict, cupcake hoarder and mom, which somehow hasn't ameliorated any of the previously mentioned questionable habits.

The long:

I started writing dark paranormal romance after getting addicted to a couple bully romances in a row and realizing I'd been in love with the trope since I met good old Logan Echolls (I'm a devout marshmallow as well). It took me a while to find the right recipe to explore all of my bad habits in one twisty plot, but I dedicated my waist line (please see above, re: cupcakes) and my extremely limited down time (please see above, re: mom) to it, and have created the Legends of the Ashwood Institute series. It has everything I love: hotness, sweetness, ANGST, a good bully, a bad girl (or twelve), witches, mysteries, small town drama, MAGIC, secret societies, loads of smexyness of the darkest kind and that hurt/comfort dynamic that makes me waaay too invested in fictional characters.

So here we are. Please enjoy my decadent hobby with me.

A good second book to the series, I couldn’t put it down. The story was fast paced with plenty of drama. The characters were intriguing. I loved how the author created tension and angst while making the reader care about the characters.

Fantastic! This is the second book in the Ashwood Institute series, it is not a stand-alone - you must read Dare Me first to understand what’s happening. The story of Jake and Raven continues to unfold with a lot more of the story explained, which is very satisfying. Still twists and turns and man what a finale! We are given more of a peek in Hunters background and character in this book which I loved. All the characters have instant appeal, really well written, and their emotions are very real and palpable. Story flows wonderfully, I devoured it in one sitting. Really don’t want to give away any spoilers, but I urge you to dive into this series.....one word of warning (as described by the author) this is a dark romance, if this triggers you pick a different story. I thought it was simply fabulous.

This is book two in the Legends of the Ashwood Institute series but does not end here. As Raven and Jacob's story continues, we get to continue down the dark and twisted path that they travel on.as well. Again, picking up this book, I was captivated and totally sucked into the story as I devoured each page to the end. As with the first book, the characters layers unfold and the story builds and twists. I cannot wait for the next book. Enjoy!

I was very impressed with how simply and effortlessly this author told this addicting, multi-layered story with well-developed world building and great characters and still manage to make romance feel so fresh!

The chemistry, sweetness, and twists in plot kept things interesting.
Add in a wee bit of drama and you have a good read.

How bittersweet is the long awaited reunion. Sad without the overwhelming joy of seeing your loved one. Uncertainty, fear, sadness and pain is all that swirls thru your mind. I hope Tristan’s story ends with joy and contentment.

Blown away. I can’t wait to read the ending. This story has not gone how I thought it would. It exceeded my expectations. I love that raven is such a strong woman
