Those Eight Hours With Her
Adyant Lohani, a lead singer of one of the top music bands, is blessed with both the worlds, but the emptiness inside him claws its stifling fingers around his neck the entire time. Riya, she is the trouble of his life, at least that’s how Adyant sees her, but similarly as a moth gets attracted to flame risking it’s life, there is something that draws him closer to her. She took a break from work to look after her kids and meanwhile started writing the stories which have always been there in her mind. With her writing and narration style, she has carved a niche for herself. She has always been a creatively inclined person.

'Those eight hours with her' is a book written by Anjum Awasthi Mallik. The title itself is attractive enough for the readers who would want to know the importance of those 8 hours in this story. There are some very particular moments in life, however small, proves to be transformative for us in life. The same thing happened with the protagonist of this story Adyant. The title is very relevant as those eight moments were the ones that revitalized Adyant life towards being a happening one. He was so busy with his professional life but Riya's exuberant attitude towards life made him change his mind.

The story line was spellbound with a gripping nature a page turner for beginners
the narrative style is unique the way the charecter are threaded is just fantabulous we all will have the situations of Lohani once atleast and we can relate it with us as many readers say the first few pages are crucial for capturing the readers attention and Anjum Awasthi have done a wonderful job in it the first 3 pages the way Lohani feels when his daughter sings will take you to dreams but you will be completely spellbound after knowing abt his connection with her I was literally living in the story this story is just breathtaking

Gripping and compelling to read more storyline. An easy read. Perfect for beginners or ones who want an easy literature.
I could imagine each characters in the book and connect with them. The one thing different about this book is that, from the pen of a female author you would read a man's perspective which was new for me. I have often read female writing female perspective and male with male perspective. I didn't mind that in fact.
Title is apt and cover is beautiful.

The book Those Eight Hours With Her by Anjum Awasthi Malik is a tale of love, destiny, and fate. The book tells the story of Adhyant Lohani aka Ady, a famous musician and Riya, a girl who loves freedom in life and how their lives cross paths with each other.
The story is neatly written and the characters Ady, Riya, Nithya, Ady’s mother are all distinctive and in dept at the same time. The chemistry between Ady and Riya have been etched perfectly by the author. The writing is crisp and simple.

The story opens with a father watching her daughter on stage with teary eyes, who’s making him proud every second since her arrival.
Adyant Lohani, a lead singer of one of the top music bands, is blessed with both worlds. He then one fine day ends up quitting his band after his father’s demise to continue and cherish his business henceforth.
Adyant then meets a girl named Riya at the wedding of his best friend since childhood. Riya’s first impression was not at all appreciated there by anyone even the bride's sister who brought her is being scolded a lot since that girl’s arrival.
Riya, she is the trouble of his life, at least that’s how Adyant sees her, but similarly, there is something that draws him closer to her. She is a free bird while he is the prisoner of his passionate dreams and desires.
Just eight hours with her, and Adyant starts seeing the world in a new light. Their story ends there only so they could begin all over again after six years, but Riya is no longer the same girl! What had happened in those six years? Why the girl, who was an open book once upon a time, has encased herself in mystic layers?
It was a 206-page read, very well written and has a very captivating plot with good narration. The language was pretty simple, lucid and it has also got lots of twists and turns.
I really felt motivated and nice after reading this book. There's so much to learn from this book and keep in mind always to apply in your life as well. There were some amazing lines I can't even explain how wonderful they were until you read it by yourself.
The cover is so pretty with a good shade of colour as well and serves a lot to understand the theme of the story and the title is very much apt to drag you. Overall it was good to read and highly recommended to all readers/non-readers.

Review- Those Eight Hours With Her is a very interesting novel featuring the effect life events has on us. The story line revolves around Adyant Lohani who is a famous singer from band ‘Riyaz'. The story begins with Adyant and Nitya attending the singing competition of Adyants's daughter who is from the top 3 finalists in the show. The feelings he had and what he went through while his daughter was trying to create a place for herself in the music industry. Everything was described very well when he was just awestruck by seeing his princess his daughter on the stage, anxiety taking over and he just couldn’t wait to hear his daughters name as the winner. With this show the book has a beautiful beginning and It is followed by a flash back where the reader is taken through a roller coaster ride. The plot features Adyant aka Ady who is from a music band along with his friends and Rita who doesn’t believes in being chained and lives life on her own terms being as free as air. Adyant met Riya through his friend Ekta and the eight hours he spent with her changed everything. Sometimes even years fall short and hours do the magic. Adyant was dwelling on past while Riya sprinkled her magic and gloomed a new way of living life. Sometimes in life certain unexpected events change us completely where the change is beyond our expectations. This journey reflects a piece of art highlighting ‘life’ in the purest form which has a blend of emotions, trust, hope and faith. The narration is fluid and the story is very gripping right from the first page. It has a blend of joy, mystery, happiness, twist and turns. The title is very interesting and good enough to grab attention of readers.

"Some relationships are not defined by a name but by the way they alter your life" - these words are the soul of this story. Love changes our life in an unexpected way and one doesn't know how long will it take up to fall in love, it can be a moment of it may take a lifetime.
In this book the author narrates the story of Adyant Lohani and the his love for the girl he met years before for just 8 hours. Adyant meets Riya at a family friends wedding at a time when he was low in his life - he had lost his ever supportive father, he wanted to quit his music band (he was a lead singer and lyricist of a band he formed with his buddies) too take up his father's business thus hurting his friends and he didn't know anything about business now he was afraid to take it up but he has to. In this confusing and disturbing juncture of life he crosses his life with Riya - young, vibrant and independent young girl who take independence very seriously. She was beautiful in her own way and talented in a way that pleases herself. That few hours had changed Adyant's life in a drastic way, today be was a successful entrepreneur and his band 'Riyaz' is the most popular band. Adyant is waiting for Riya who had promised to meet him once he's successful in music, its been 6 years and he's still waiting. In a new year gig Adyant accidently meets Riya again...

The title of the book suggested me that it is all about eight years of togetherness of the main characters. The story has more to offer to its readers.
The main protagonist of the story is Adyant. There are three different time plots in the story. One is of the present day. Second of the special 8 hours that are Adyant spent with Riya, which changed the rest of his life and made him pursue his dreams successfully. The third time plot is when Adyant meets Riya after 6 years. Riya was now completely a new person. She was no more the carefree Riya whom Adyant met earlier. What has made Riya to change? What did Riya face during six years that she is hiding from Adyant? Grab your copy and unveil the mystery.

The book is setup in an illustrative form of diary entry dating from the rising of the star to becoming a star. Perspective from the eyes of Adyant takes its efficient turn when he completely learns about Riya whom he once considered the trouble of his life. Romance is quite evident throughout the plot giving it a soulful appearance. Taking it to an another level, the lucidity of language is used effectively. Thinking about time and its majestic expression, no one is spared from the changes that takes place in ones heart. These changes are enlightened by the other half of the soul which is present in our better half. The book talks about these intricacies in a philosophical domain. The culture as a singer and dominance of the art form is visible throughout.
Apart from editorial enhancements and aspects, the book is a decent one time read. Recommendations are open to interpretations given the fact that the book may not be perceived well by everyone. Perspective from the eyes of Adyant takes its efficient turn when he completely learns about Riya whom he once considered the trouble of his life. Thinking about time and its majestic expression, no one is spared from the changes that takes place in ones heart. These changes are enlightened by the other half of the soul which is present in our better half. The book talks about these intricacies in a philosophical domain. The culture as a singer and dominance of the art form is visible throughout.

Story of this book revolves around two protagonists “Adyant “ aka ADY and “Riya”. Adyant is a singer in a band and, Riya a simple girl who enjoying her fruitful and simple life. Adyant meet riya in wedding through his friend ekta and spent 8 hours talking with each other and that will drastically changed our Protagonist life.
Adyant always dwelling because of his past and this meet changed everything for him and give him a new path of living. But after that meeting adyant is not the one’s whoes life changed, Riya’s life is also changed a lot in this period. Both of them meet again after 6 years but it will totally different meet compare to their before meet.
This book contain the story of love, How they fell in love and how their love evolves over the time and How they separated and met after 6 hours?
This book is filled with full of emotions like Happiness, Joy, Twists, Faith, Believe and many more.

"Not everyone we meet is meant to stay in our life it just sometime we crossed path with them." This story is about two individuals who crossed each other's path and enrich each other's life. Riya and Ady crossed each other's path where they spend 8 hrs. This 8 hrs turn Ady's life meaningful. After this 8 hrs Riya and Ady again cross each other path after 6 years when Riya call up Ady. But Ady was shocked to see Riya change completely the independent ,care free, full of life girl who brought light in his Life was no longer present. Ady accepts Riya and even her daughter in order to protect them from Riya's husband. So will Ady be successful? .
Plot is drafted with adequate twist and turns. Meaning of friendship and unconditional love is crafted through character Riya and Ady.
Character of Riya teaches that giving up is never a solution so whenever you fall in life get up and aim for a higher level. On the other hand character of Ady show up the real meaning of unconditional love.

As the title suggested it sets in the romantic genre, which I prefer when I want to read something that makes me feel happy within. It didn't disappoint me
The whole story has narrated as a flashback by the famous singer Adyant Lohani as the main protagonist. He was there in 'The Singing Star’ grand finale to cheer his little princess Nitya, who was one of the final contestants of the reality show. Sitting in front of the grand stage, he remembered how his singing journey started and how he met his love, Riya at a family friend's wedding. Riya showed him the way to achieve his dream at the same time handling his father’s business. She spent eight hours with him that changed his life in a better way. He fell in love with her but she abruptly rejected him. But after six years, he bumped into her in a restaurant. Once again his life changed but in a painful way.
Love is the only thing that can make you cry and happy at the same time. This is that kind of story. It is written beautifully that you would fell for the characters in the story. This story hooked me up to this extent that I couldn't wait to read the last chapter. It's musical and also soul-piercing. The ending filled with suspense.

Adyant, a lead singer of music band is stuck between his passion and profession due to his past life’s tragedy. Riya, a free spirited girl happens to be his friend, tremendously changes his life from the point he spend those eight hours with her and surprises him with a whole new vision for life.
However all of a sudden Riya seems to have disappeared from his life and shows up straight after a span of six years. But what compelled her to do so is a mystery for readers to unlock.
I really appreciate author’s narrative style especially the perfect twists at perfect timings made the story more gripping. Also the growth of Adyant’s character over time is what I admire particularly.
The title and cover page are so captivating that I honestly couldn’t resist myself from diving into this ocean of musical romance.
The language is extremely lucid and easy to understand. Climax is of course immensely transpiring. Quite an overwhelming read for me that I could absolutely feel connected till the end and hence I am indeed inclined to recommend it.

Those eight hours with her" is a romantic book which depicts the story of the main character adyant from his Present life to his past life,where he throws back to his past life on how his life changed completely by Riya.So the plot is about two protagonist Adyant Lohani and Riya. Adyant is a lead singer in well known band, and also a prisoner of his passionate dreams and desires. Whereas Riya a carefree easygoing girl living her simple life.both are very contrasting personality.but the 8 hour conversation with Riya Changed the life of adyant completely.his perspective towards life totally changed.but they met after six years which doesn't give the same vibes as it did earlier. Those six years changed Riya's life completely.

This is a love story of Adyant and Riya. The author has written it in two-part Old days(memory days) and present-day but one by one.
Adyant is a famous musician while Riya is a smart and free nature girl who does what she wants.
The story is all about Adyant and Riya. How both met each other, how they fell in love, how their love BOND get stronger. And how they get separated. AND how they again meet after 6 years, but this time not to get separate but live together for forever.
What happened to Riya?
They both talk to each other for non-stop 8 hours when they meet again. But this 8 hours, is not normal for Adyant. He also changes by listening to the things that Riya tell him. This time their conversation is not the same but a difference in format and indifferent way. Another character named, Nitya enter in the story.

Human beings are of different natures and have different attitudes towards life. This difference of attitude is what helps in one person to learn from the other and try to follow their qualities in their life. Anjum Awasthi Malik’s “Those Eight Hours With Her” is one portrayal of two starkly different personalities with different lives and different atttitudes towards it.
The protagonists, Adyant and Riy meet, spend time, one learns from the other and then there is a different series of events that follows. The twist that the author gives is what becomes the prime interest holder of the readers and keeps them engaged throughout till the end. The characters portrayed by the author are also very close to life and can be easliy found in our routine lives. These strong characters are enough to give the novel the realistic element. Also, Malik goes at lengths and does a fine job in showing the contrasting lives of two people and the extent to which they can be different.
