Hello!
Thank you for stopping by.
The short story is I was born in Toronto, Canada. When I was 16, my family moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and that is where I met my wife, Bev.
We've been married for 43 years and share our home in Southwest Missouri with 4 dogs, 3 cats, 8 chickens, a herd of goats. We have 3 sons and 12 grandchildren that keep us hopping.
I've been known to ride my motorcycle in nice weather, play golf in nice weather, and tend my garden in nice weather. In bad weather, I prefer to stay inside. :)
Thanks to the support of you, our readers, I've been able to devote full time to my writing. Bev does our cover designs.
We hope you our books are enjoyable and you'll let us know.
Please feel free to contact us at: jdalglish7@gmail.com or on Facebook
God Bless, John & Bev

Jason and Vanessa are called to a house fire. This will be their biggest case and possibly last as partners.

I've looked forward to this book, as I've read every Jason Strong book. As in the book description, each clue is shocking. It kept me wondering and reading.

So many great characters. Jason Strong and Vanessa Layne who work together. Kasen, Vanessa's son. Libby Turner the reporter. Doc Josie - Forensic Scenes Dept. Captain Morris. (Just to name a few.)

Victims: Ken and Gloria Larson, Son Derek Larson. Adam Walker.

There were clues along the way. Nail-biting tension filled the book. It was so good, I read it in one sitting. It fired up my imagination. Pun intended. Shocking ending one I won't give away. I will say though, there's someone not going to be in the next books.

Looking forward to the next book. Keep em coming, John.

Emotional! Raw! Riveting!.10 Giant Glittering Stars!!

Book number twenty in this series was in my opinion the best so far. Packed with so much drama, raw emotion and heart pounding tension, my heart was in my throat most of the way through the entire book. And copious amounts of tears flowing through most of the second half.

Four dead bodies, multiple crime scenes and heart pounding police procedures made this seem all so very real. Almost like a movie being shown in my head as I read and processed all the different situations. The danger and life threatening situations police endure on a daily basis was all so very real. I actually found myself holding my breathe in places. The mark of a truly gifted author to bring a story to life with characters that you not only care about but shed tears for, and in one chapter I actually found myself saying some prayers for my two favorite detectives.

A huge round of applause Mr. Dalglish! You've done it again! Crafted a mind blowing police procedural that was not only a clean read but pulled every possible emotion I had in me from my nerves to my heart strings. Bravo Sir! 🎉🎉👏👏🌟🌟🌟📚💞💞

Another excellent clean murder mystery in the Jason Strong series. A burning house and four dead bodies pull Detectives Jason Strong and Vanessa Layne into a nail-biting, tension filled case that has a permanent effect on both their lives. This is an exciting, suspenseful story that is brought to life by the excellent narration in the audiobook. You can feel the tension, fear, sorrow, and anger right along with the characters and your heart aches for them. This story will hold you captive as the clues to find the arsonist/murderer are slowly revealed and have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see how the dramatic events will turn out. Even though this is book 20 in a series, it can still be listened to/read as a stand-alone novel.

I'm NOT a religious person but I really have enjoyed the Jason Strong series and hope there will be more. I was looking for a new author and came upon the first book in this series and gave it a shot, so glad I did. I didn't even realize that it was considered a religious read until I was downloading the second book. So what I'm trying to say is that religion was not pushed on you in this series, so even if you're not religious you will enjoy. Short murder mystery, well written and still connected with the characters to the point I cried in parts of some books because of the connection to the characters. I'm on to another book by this author, fingers crossed its as good as these books in the series.

The Detective Jason Strong Series is well worthy of a five-star rating

While searching my Kindle library for detective series I came across an author I have not read. The author is John C. Dalglish, and the series is the Detective Jason Strong series. There are twenty novels in the series. What is unique about the series, is although each novel is built on the last the story line constantly changes to include new characters and adventures. The characters are well defined and memorable through each novel. Before writing this review I tried to pick a favorite. The novel I selected is the latest in the series Burning Down. The action is non-stop from beginning to end. I am looking forward to the next novel in the series A Twisted Mind due out on August 11, 2021

Non-stop

I could barely put the book down to get some sleep. Read it in two sittings. Non-stop action, suspense, storyline, and wondering what was coming next.

Book 20 of the series was the best. Clean language. Friendly teasing. Respectful interactions. Appropriate rebuke. Intense at times.

I am a fan of police homicide stories and a fan of this author whose writing has improved over the series. Dalglish provides enough details that you feel you are present trying to solve the mystery with the detectives. This whole series starts off with the initial crime, but definitely not enough clues or details to reveal who dunnit.

I won't reveal the story. It is worth your time to discover it.

Review of: "Burning Down".

An excellent read, with suspense, drama, and compassion. This author must be a remarkable person in her private life to be able to relay all the feelings she'd have to have in order to have her readers feel what her book characters feel.

As usual a can't put it down book.

A good read. A good mystery that had me guessing to the very end. It is nice to be able to read a good mystery without sex or swearing.
