Getting stranded together wasn't part of the plan...
Rhys Hale is a first-class jerk. Everything about him makes Zara’s head want to explode. When he comes to her village, intending to put a housing development in the middle of it, the gauntlet is thrown down. The last thing she expects is for nature to play dirty and get stuck with him.
Zara might be the most annoying woman on the planet. She’s obnoxious, full of herself and doesn’t understand a small thing called 'progress'. Getting trapped in this two-bit back water hamlet with her is the stuff of nightmares.
But stranded together, and with no way out of the village, they have no choice but to deal with each other. There’s a fine line between love and hate. Crossing it will be a disaster.
Rhys Hale is all about business. He works in housing development and doesn't see why Zara wants to preserve a beautiful view. This is an enemy to more story with a lot of fire. These two are complete opposites, but when Rhys finds himself down on his luck Zara might be the one to help him out.
Standed hearts has great chemistry, a good storyline and a happy-ever-after.
Zara and Rhys want two separate things. Zara doesn’t want the development that Rhy is trying to convince her small village it needs. When Rhys gets stranded in her village Zara has the chance to show him the beauty of her village as it is now. Rhy doesn’t really care about the village only the growth the development would bring. Zara has secrets that make her an outcast to a lot of the villagers and when Rhys finds out her secret will he still want and love her?
This is one of my favorite books by Ms. Ames! I can’t wait for her next book.
Jessica Ames did it again! This book was absolutely amazing and I immediately fell in love with both these characters. Zara and Rhys had two very different goals for her small town which made them dislike each other. But when thrown together not by choice.... things take a turn in the best way. If I could I’d give this more than 5 stars!
What a great and original story! I so much enjoyed the little nuances of each character. They were both strong willed and opinionated but they both had so many moments of learning and understanding!
I loved this story because it had humor, so much sizzle, oh no you didn’t moments and hope! It was the perfect story for a quick moment away from real world problems!
I love a good enemies to lovers romance and Zara and Rhys's story did not disappoint, these two clash when he wants to plan a new development to her village. When he has to go stay at her b&b he starts to see both her and the village in a new light. This was a great book to curl up with I really enjoyed it
I really enjoyed this story. Zara is strong and sassy lady who doesn't mind saying what's on her mind. Rhys was swoon worthy and I adored him. This was an entertaining story. A great read!
This had some grit and angst, the two characters butting heads at first, getting to know each other and the area helps smooth things out but still one thing stands in their way. A scenic setting that sounded wild but beautiful, quiet and peaceful, perfect to escape city and working lives. Interesting plot and her history gave this a good grounding while the sparks between them were in more ways than one. I really enjoyed reading and escaping into their lives for a few hours and this was a pleasant steady story, well written by a great author.
Great storyline and character development made this book a hot and enjoyable read! Extremely entertaining, captivating and interesting sexy read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong, intriguing characters. I want to read more from this author.

A fast-paced enemies-to-lovers slow burn! How Ms. Ames managed to pull off a fast-paced slow burn is some special kind of magic.
Zara and Rhys are at odds before they even meet, but once they do the sparks fly everywhere! In addition to the main conflict, Zara is hiding a painfully twisted past that she’s convinced will send Rhys running for the hills, but Rhys proves that he’s not the ignorant suit Zara initially pegs him as.
What a beautiful story to be introduced into Jessica Ames' writing. I've always loved a good enemies-to-lovers story and this did not disappoint at all.
After a divorce that sees Zara moving into a new place and starting over, a new development threatens her livelihood and the new place she calls home. Fighting to save their little, quaint town inspite of the people judging her because of her past, she meets Rhys. Winning over the town and Zara will be a tough job but Rhys has all the ammunition and answers that everyone needs. What happens is a battle of wits and barbs, the unpredictabe English weather and a scenery like no other.
A fun, quick read with references to how and what progress can do and undo to a person's life. Definitely catching up on some Jessica Ames book after this one!
This was a hot steamy erotic romance story perfect for a quick afternoon read. A great heart pounding read. The story was very well written with great characters. It drew me in and I had it finished in one sitting. I would highly recommend this read.
This book is an enemies to lovers story. It’s set in a remote village in the middle of nowhere. Zara is the owner of a B&B with a past she wants to keep in the past and not mention it. Rhys works for the council which wants to do a development in the village. She opposes his plans, but most of the villagers are not opposing once he sweet-talks them. Then unforeseen situations make him stay and Zara shows him the beauty of the village and why he’d disturb what people come to see when they visit and what they enjoy. Other things happen and in the end they have their HEA. Loved this book, like I knew I would, as I love Jessica’s writing style.

Oh. My!! Loved this book! Zara is an absolute firecracker and is very protective of the village she lives in, nestled in the Peak District. When Rhys, a planner from the local council comes to the village to 'big up' a new development planned, I don't think he planned on Zara! They clash straight away and the banter is on the chart. Had me laughing out loud! With the banter comes chemistry and it's scorching! But can Zara get over the fact, he wants to change the village and can he scale the walls she has built around her heart? What happens when the snow thaws? Love, love, love!!!
I never wanted to put this book down. I started it Friday when I was meant to be doing my housework which I made myself put it down to do. I finished it this morning just before I had to get ready for work.

When plans for village have them on opposites sides of progress they but heads and can't seem to agree on anything. There's new development proposed for the village of Gleveson. Rhys is from the planning authority. He doesn't hate small towns, but rather prefers what the big city has to offer. Zara owns a small B&B, and loves the little village just like it is. This book took off at page 1, and never stopped. The verbal sparring between Rhys and Zara is priceless - and absolutely hilarious. This is the sweetest book - with just enough steam to make it interesting.

Rhys and Zara have a quaint, sweet, spicy little story. I love the little small town with the drama that comes with it. I love the backstory for Zara, quite unique and very interesting. I love that Rhys and Zara are so far apart in their cross purpose that it seems there will be no middle ground for them to stand on. I like that they both finally get it. I like how cute they are together. Roland and Abby make good secondary characters.

Stranded Hearts is part of the multi-author Love, Unexpected Collection and is a sweet story of opposites attracting.

This is an enemies to lover’s story about Zara who owns a B&B in a small village and Rhys who is a developer for the council, Zara doesn’t want anything changed in the village and Rhys doesn’t know what her problem is she needs to get with the times plus the place needs developing it’s the way it is and they end up banging heads with hilarious consequences. When Rhys gets stuck there he’s not happy but they both start to see the others difference of opinion. Loved this story it’s a fantastic read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
This was a great little enemies to lovers story. Rhys is all about the business and Zara wants to preserve her village. These 2 are complete opposite of each other but when they get stranded together, can they work things out? There's a good flow to the story and I honestly couldn't put it down. I needed to see what they were going to do next. And when her secret comes out, will that ruin everything. I can't say much more because I don't want to spoil the story but I loved this book and would highly recommend it. Ms. Ames did a wonderful job telling Rhys and Zara's story!
I love this book. It’s an enemies to lover story and the sparks are flying. This story about Zara and Rhys starts when Rhys comes to her small village to present a plan for more infrastructure. He wants to built, she does not want things to change. That clashes hard. What will happen if they get stuck. This is a true love story the characters are wonderful and I can picture the surroundings. Beautifully written.
This book is an enemies to lovers story which was amazing. It takes place in a small town where Zara and Rhys want very different things for the town, which made them hate each other. The book was beautifully written with great characters. Absolutely love this author.
I absolutely love this story!! Jessica Ames has created a great story as only she can! I'm in love with everything she writes but this one definitely stuck with me! Zara & Rhys are a great enemies to lovers romance in an idyllic English town! Rhys definitely deserves a place in my harem!
