Sean’s guardian angel is a feline, but his spirit cheetah prefers rival attorney, Andrea Morgan, over him. Trapped in a failing, dangerous marriage and stalked by an accomplice of one of the most dangerous criminals he’s ever prosecuted, Sean’s troubles are just beginning.

A vacation should have offered him a chance to save his relationship with his wife, Idette. Instead, Sean learns he isn’t the only one with a secret, and his discovery of his wife’s true nature should have killed him.

To ensure Sean’s survival, his cheetah strikes a bargain with a wolf. Faced with life-long enslavement to his wife, becoming an instrument of pack justice seems like the far better alternative.

Unfortunately, pack justice is as brutal as it is swift, and should Sean fail to put an end to Idette’s machinations, everything he values will be targeted and destroyed, including his chance to be with the one woman who might be able to help him salvage the ruins of his life.

RJ Blain suffers from a Moleskine journal obsession, a pen fixation, and a terrible tendency to pun without warning.

When she isn't playing pretend, she likes to think she's a cartographer and a sumi-e painter. In reality, she herds cats and a husband, and obeys the commands of Tsu Dhi, the great warrior fish.

In her spare time, she daydreams about being a spy. Should that fail, her contingency plan involves tying her best of enemies to spinning wheels and quoting James Bond villains until she is satisfied.

Ouch, this was a bit of a harsh one. A lawyer that deals with rape and abuse victims, stuck in an abusive relationship of his own. The wife was toxic and disgusting. The truth was a bit of kick in the teeth, just when I thought she couldn't get any worse. I felt sorry for Sean. I liked the cheetah, it was different and the pack situation was entertaining. Nicely balanced so not too dark. Contains abuse, violence, kidnapping and death.

Great start

This is a cliffhanger, so I need the next part ASAP. Yes, it is that good, like most of the author's work.

Heather's Notes
I skimmed a lot of this book. Sean spends a lot of time as a wolf/cheetah and it was boring. He also is apparently surrounded by werewolves, that had no idea what he was. The story is mostly about him learning about the supernatural world and how to be a wolf/cheetah. My second biggest complaint is the story just stops. They don't capture or kill Idette or resolve any other the bigger issues facing Sean. In fact, it isn't even a cliffhanger. They get up from a table in a restaurant and the story is done. You don't know it is done until you turn the page and there is no more story. It is a horrible way to end a book. I kind of want to know what happens with Idette (which is why I kept reading to start with), however there a no more books in the series, which just turned this two into a one. Horrible book.

The author bases this book on a little-considered social justice issue - domestic abuse of the husband by the wife. Sean is a celebrated well-regarded almost-lionized prosecutor, doing battle on behalf of the people in the court rooms of Los Angeles. Who would believe that such a man would be the victim of continual spousal abuse? Who would believe that such a man would continue to be so loyal to his wife that he would suffer continue spousal abuse? That is where this story begins and rolls on, showing us the inevitable consequences of misplaced loyalty in the face of excessive jealousy and a twist that allows Sean to be rescued by some friends with surprising secret lives. It is good to have emotional support, even if unconventional. This is not like Pets for Vets. As hard as it was to read this, I enjoyed Sean's journey to the happy ending he earned. I am looking forward to the next book in this set.

Sean Scott, District Attorney, turns into a cheetah, married to the wrong woman, Idette, ...... is about to file for divorce, however he wants to give his marriage one last chance, so organises a trip to nature & a lake which is his wife's favourite space.

His wife is a jealous and controlling bitch. It doesn't end well.

Lots of action & lots of surprises, particularly most of the rest of the Court and especially the local Police Chief Ramirez & Officers. Loved it and loved the Defense Attorney Andrea Morgan.

We had attempted murder, prison escapees, kidnapping, blowing up a building and lots of fun turning Sean into a trained police dog.

I join the chorus for more stories of Sean & Andrea and what the Inquisition will do about Idette.

First for me in this world

If you like your paranormal romances actions packed, humorous and G-Rated for sexual content, then RJ Blaine is the author for you. Quick witted with fully fleshed worlds, the stories never fail to captivate - and Pack Justice is no different. Told from the male perspective, it wraps up and around this strange paranormal life, dragging us into the realm of werewolves, witches, spirit animals and shamans. Over all, it’s fun, exciting and frustratingly wholesome.

Pack Justice

I enjoy my time spent reading RJ Blain's books and this one was no different.
I want to talk about the story, but I don't want to give anything away, so I guess I will try to be generic. Finding love and dealing with life's twists and turns, or a supernatural 's twists and turns, keeps this story moving and the happy ending always has me looking for the next e

Awesome book, hope we get a second one in this series

I love that this story put focus on the fact that men also can be victims of domestic abuse. While it most often happens to women, there are a lot of men who become victims too. This book was really great and very well written.

Fun and exciting

Another great book set in the witch and wolf world with yet another wonderful cast of new characters. Our hero manages through many trials and tribulations to make his way to his own happily ever after. While there is no cliffhanger, there is room for another book in the future. 5 stars

For me this book just had too many unanswered questions. I am also sad that there doesn’t seem to be a second installment of this series. I would be interested in learning more about Sean. I would also like to know what Sean’s ex-wife (I can’t remember her name) end game was. Without any spoilers let me just say it left me with a lot of why but no answers.

I loved this book. There is attempted murder, and when Sean does survive the attempt by his wife, he is taken into the local wolf pack and they will help him mete justice. Sean serves his wife with divorce papers and she comes at him again. She will not stop. So much drama and a few gruesome scenes, but lots of passion too. Highly recommend.

2024 bk 106. I could have sworn when I bought this that there was already a second book - it needs the second book badly. This is one of the few times that R. J. Blain has written something and left such a cliff hanger that my body and brain craves a sequel. Well done book on a tough subject - men being abused by their spouses (that isn't a spoiler, its in the blurb).
Will read again, particularly after a sequel comes out.

Loved it

Very enjoyable, and a bit different from other books I’ve read by this author and a very interesting take on the shifter world. I’ve had the Witch and Wolf series on my TBR pile (mountain) for a while now and I see it’s time to push it to the top.

As always with RJ Blain, great characters and an engaging plot.

Too long

For me this book was way to long and tedious. Also, it really didn't have a true HEA because it seems to just stop after going around and around to get to the point and it leaves a lot opened.

This one isn't for me but, it made be for you.

Another wonderful book by RJ. Blain. One book you can't put down!

A lot of twists and turns as good as RJ Blain can write them. I loved the main characters Andrea and Sean. I hope I get to read more about them.

Well written, enthralling, funny

This book is exceptionally well written. The story is engaging, the main characters are likeable, and the humorous touches added to my enjoyment. R. J. Blain is now officially one of my favorite authors. Highly recommended!

Evil, evil author! 😂

I loved this standalone in the Witch and Wolf universe. All the characters are well filled out, fun and interesting and the plot is excellent. However the author is an evil Bratasaurus Wench and I WANT to know what happens next! 😂

Highly, highly recommended.

Once again RJ Blain strikes again... Out of the ball park! I have never been disappointed in her stories! Always good winning over evil and you always feel good after reading her books and waiting on pins and need for another one to come out!

Samson

Enjoyed this story, hoping that there's a continuation, as the end seemed to be cut short. Story seemed incomplete. This author as good as ever and I will be following any new projects.

Difficult to follow

I have read all of RJ Blaine’s books, and the majority of them are five stars. This one was not because it was very confusing. I didn’t even finish reading volume one. I would highly recommend the other series.

Interesting hero's POV in this book. Not really part of R.J. Blain's Wolf books, but a great addition.
